Opinions de Cast Iron Pot Staten Island
Finally one of the first Korean bbq places on Staten Island. I honestly never thought this day would come. I was lucky to have came the first weekend it opened with a group. Service was good, they grilled the meat for me; the lemonades were tasty as well! Would usually have to leave the island just to get my fill of Korean food cravings! This gives me hope that maybe just maybe one day an hmart would open on the island and or there would be galbitang or soups sold without having to venture into Queens as well.
Great place for family and date night. The atmosphere was nice plenty of room. Service was great along with the food. Will definitely go for a dinner service as there are more options available. Could not wait for this place to open. Best one in the area. Friendly staff. Parking is free not much space if it gets busy but you can always park at ShopRite and walk one min. Love it.
Never thought they would come to staten island but they did after all these years. Saves me the trip of traveling an hr either to queens or jersey to the other locations. To top it off this is probably the only ayce kbbq that is good on staten island. Kpot is a terrible option despite there raving positive reviews. They do have its ups for having the option of hot pot but for the food is not great. Funny that they are just around the corner of cast iron. BTW cast iron is on the same lot as IHOP not the same lot as kpot. Try it out for your selves staten islanders. If meat is your thing like it is for me after a good workout at the gym. This is the best place to hit the spot. Ps get some sesame oil and put it together with the salt they already have prepared for you. Dip your meats and enjoy.
Amazingly quick service and good portion on the dishes, little to no wait time on a Thursday night which was nice!
The service of the place is great the food is great as well a very good and clean enivron and fun for the whole family. Would highly recommend our waiter Seoin. Overall 5 stars you have to come here if you live in Staten Island or just visiting
Good service, good food, friendly waitress. I could not have asked for more for a family dinner. With 20% tips, in an average of 50 bulks per person. One downside is that the parking lot is small.
Good experience for the whole family! The beef melted in the mouth! Reasonable price for a hungry mouth! Try Korean beer and hangover soup!
The customer who leaves due to price will retorno for service, while the customer who leaves due to service will not return for any price and this young boy named Oscar provides excellent custumer service, he knows what it means to ask for permission and apologize we I love the service of this young man, what a very attentive worker! We are customers and we always come for good service, at a good time to this respectful young man.
Hands down best Korean BBQ in Staten Island/ BK. Quality cuts and amazing service. The staff there really goes above and below to make sure your experience is at the highest level. Their dinner menu also is very expansive with different options from beef, pork to seafood and amazing Banchan. The appetizers are also included in the AYCE with great variety. Look for Vincent or Kevin and the team as they take great care of everyone.
I've been to every iteration and location of Cast Iron Pot that exists. I went for the soft opening and expected no less than the quality they are used to delivering. The menu selection and attention to customer are bar none. Thank you to the staff who are friends at this point for making you always feel welcome and suggesting ways to enjoy your meal. I'm fortunate enough to live close to Fairview location but work right next to Cast Iron Pot Island to enjoy my favorite food and atmosphere when I feel like it. All the best to them.
Big fan of the Cast Iron Pot chain. You guys definitely didn't disappoint with this location. Ambiance is beautiful, staff is very polite, friendly and attentive. Food is flavourful and always on point with taste and texture. Only thing I don't like is the parking other than that absolutely love this place!
Most authentic Korean BBQ AYCE Spot you’ll find on Staten. Meats are top tier, service is first class, staff is very respectful, friendly and attentive. You can tell this is a family-ran business. I had SukJu as my waiter and he was awesome, made sure our food was cooked to perfection!! Came by to give us all discount vouchers for our next visit. Way better spot than K-pot around the corner.
Kandon is an amazing waiter, friendly, and very professional. Thanks to his excellent service, we enjoyed a delicious and memorable meal. The food was outstanding, and the whole experience was perfect 😊
I ordered my food off of Uber eats and was planning to feed my employees with a good meal but the lady did not pick up the food only the drinks, I guess she couldn’t wait for the food…. So I called cast iron and was immediately asked what our address is so they could deliver the food personally! I was greeted by amazing customer service and the gentleman who was on the line then went above and beyond to help me out with our food and had many apologies, I really appreciated them and their professionalism!
$5 cheaper than Fairview or Little Ferry! And they have Wagyu brisket!!! The ahjussi who i think is the manager/owner was very nice and accommodating! Shoutout to Bayron whos our server and hops between the different Cast Iron locations to work 😆 Coming from NJ, the roundtrip toll of $14.56 for the Turnpike is about the same as the Goethals Bridge $14.06 for Off-Peak toll. And you save $5 from cast iron 😂 #girlmath
My favorite Korean BBQ spot! This is honestly the only authentic Korean BBQ nearby. The quality of meat is great - my favorite is beef brisket & pork belly. The sides are also delicious, especially the japchae and dumplings. Overall, this place is worth 5-star, I highly recommend.
Amazing experience at this location. I have visited the cast iron pot in Fairview NJ many times and this location is just as good. Service was excellent and very attentive. Cleanliness is obviously a priority at this location. Definitely will be back
I've been to Cast Iron many times, both in Little Ferry and more conveniently on Staten Island. Worth staying a full 2 hours with friends and family for every item on the menu. As a Staten Island resident I'm so happy it's expanded here and I now I get to go to any chain available to me. Continue the great work!
Being that I'm a Korean BBQ girl. I was excited to try the latest spot on the island. The setup looks ok. The staff was friendly and attentive. They had unlimited side order. We tried most of them, and it was a few hit &miss. First, we order the marinated chicken, short ribs, top steak. They are mouth-watering good. We got shrimp, but that was a miss a little salty. I walk out of there stuff as a turkey. lol
Absolutely love visiting Cast Iron Pot in NJ and I’m so happy they made it to Staten Island! Some of the best kbbq I’ve ever had. Meats are so tender and flavorful. Good deal at $40 pp for all you can eat. Staff is so nice and considerate. They also have fun mixed soju drinks like mojitos and lemonades which I haven’t seen at other locations. 10/10 recommend.
Overall amazing! Service was amazing, all workers were helpful and friendly! Food was really good, I only wish everything was marinated :) One of the meats was marinated but still didn’t have enough flavor, Cast Iron Steak I would recommend coming again They opened about a week ago and so far 9.5/10
I come to cast iron almost 2-3 times a month. I love their food Phil is awesome great server they never disappoint catch that deal slam down that meal and thank me later! 🗣️ cast iron for life
This place has a great ambiance and is very neat. The servers and staff provided us top tier service and are very pleasant. The menu has a great variety and everything ranging from meats to veggies to sides are all cooked and prepared excellently. 100% would come again. If you want a good KBBQ spot, check this place out.
I’ve been to the locations in Bergen, NJ and Little Ferry, NJ, and can confidently say the Staten Island location is the best one. The food quality was great as well as the customer service. If you’ve ever tried Korean BBQ or wanted to try it, I highly recommend coming to this place soon.
I am soooooo happy that there is finally a legit kbbq place near me. I don’t have to drive an hour to flushing or to Jersey. This place is amazing. Top notch service, the price is what it is… but you pay for the comfort of the large, spacious dining area, the great service and the fresh bbq! I would have liked to see more side dishes. I understand that this is all you can eat but other bbq spots provide them. That aside, I am happy you are around and will return!
Our favorite Korean BBQ spot. The staff are all friendly and courteous. The food is very good , lots of delicious flavors and varieties
Went in today for lunch, it's an all you can eat style, cast iron pot. The waiters actually go around cooking the food for you so it makes eating more comfortable where you can enjoy your meals. My favorite was the brisket, this salad with a nice dressing and this soy sauce with onion they initially give you before you order for the meats and the chicken marinated. They have this new fried rice that's also delicious and I recommend everyone trying it. The staff is so welcoming and attentive to every guest. This experience was phenomenal.
My only Issue with this place is the parking spots are a bit small I have a full sized SUV. But the Food is amazing the Steak Cube and steamed Eggs are good.
Out of all the cast irons I’ve been to for years, this location is the best. The food is extremely flavorful and delicious, never bland, and always fresh with high quality meats and side dishes. There’s never a long wait compared to other locations. Portions are very generous and service is always faster than the other locations, even during busy times. But what makes the difference is Kevin and Tony. These two amazing people are prime examples of what true hospitality and customer service is all about. Not only are they excellent servers, but they are amazing chefs as well, tending to each need/request and even going above and beyond of asking if we need anything else or how we like our meats cooked without us initiating it. The combination of their consistent, dedicated service with the high quality meats offered makes this location 🔥🔥🔥 while feeling like you are part of their team through friendly interactions.
One of my favorites..... hands down!!! This place never disappoints . . The food is always fresh and delicious!!! I always recommend this place
Food was good and service was even better. Their staff is kind attentive and quick. I will definitely be returning.
The fresh ingredients truly made a difference. The taste was vibrant and authentic
Very good addition to the neighborhood, came around 5:30pm Thursday the restaurant had plenty of seatings. Our party fav were the Cast Iron Steak and Pork Ribs, both were very flavorful and tender. All the sides were delicious. Service was wonderful. Keep up the good work!
I highly recommend this dining establishment for anyone seeking exceptional Korean cuisine at an affordable price. Recently, they lowered their prices to an impressive $30, making it a fantastic value for the quality of food offered. In my opinion, this is one of the best places in Staten Island for Korean dishes. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, this is definitely the place to visit
Best Korean BBQ in Staten Island. Food are served fresh and cooked in front of you with the right consistency and texture. Soup tastes flavorful without being too overwhelming, but the stand out for me are the delicious sauces, Popcorn Chicken and the Spicy Rice cakes. Make sure to order those, you won’t regret it. The Strawberry lemonade tastes so good and the prices of beverage and dessert (Melona) that are outside of the buffet fee are very reasonable. Good value for the stomach and the wallet. Ambience and customer service are top notch. Will definitely come back ❤️
Where do I begin I love love love cast iron. I have been to every location and this one takes the cake. The food is yet to disappoint and I’ve been there 3 times since it opened. Staff was super nice and accommodating. The waiters were great and took time to talk to us about our experience. I’m so happy that I don’t have to travel an hour to the nearest cast iron anymore. Cast iron signature is the best place in terms of atmosphere to me, but the staff and location make this spot a 10/10.
My husband and I have been eagerly awaiting this location to open and boy did it exceed all of our expectations!! We are huge fans of Cast Iron pot and would regularly make an hour long drive to the New Jersey location. When this location opened we knew we had to try it immediately. As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted by smiles from staff. The food and the atmosphere were amazing and the servers were friendly and welcoming. We are so happy to not have to make the long drive for such an incredible dining experience. You will definitely be seeing us here regularly!!
I’ve been to other Cast Iron locations before but after trying this one in Staten Island impressed me. My group and I were greeted the moment we walked in, our server provided us with amazing customer service, keeping us entertained and making us laugh while cooking our food. The food was also well seasoned and tasted great! Place was clean, organized and the workers are fast and attentive. Definitely 10/10
It's a fixed price, all you can eat, Korean BBQ spot. My wife and I found it because I had mentioned I wanted Korean BBQ and we were going to the other restaurant nearby and spotted Cast Iron Pot and decided to give it a try. I'm really glad we found this place, the staff were super friendly, we didn't feel rushed, they cook the meat for you and do 3 at a time so I didn't feel like I was trying to juggle managing plates of raw and cooked meat. Plus, since it's As far as the food, the bulgogi was perfect, I really enjoyed all of the spicy sauces, the seasoning on the shrimp was great, there wasn't a single dish I was unhappy with. I look forward to coming back again, I'm really impressed with the quality of Korean BBQ at a Staten Island restaurant.
Cast Iron is seriously worth the price! They have a large array of food options to try-squid, octopus, chicken, pork, beef- along with side dishes that help amplify the main meat’s flavoring. The wait staff are always friendly and efficient at their jobs. They are also super knowledgeable and helped us with making decisions about what we would enjoy. The space is cozy with the exposed brick walls and wooden tables. I feel so comfortable no matter where I am in the restaurant. I highly recommend: bulgogi, wagyu brisket, rice cakes, melona ube cocktail, spicy chicken, the beer tower, melona ice pops on their own, the ice cream sandwich (which my boyfriend got for his birthday photographed below!) and so much more. You just have to go and try it all for yourself!
Our server Nana was excellent, efficient and friendly. Accommodated a family celebration of 19 and cooked instinctively well ( to be mindful of the side dishes ordered , juggling between other tables without burning anything on the hot iron pot) that’s a skill 👍🏻 We had a great family time, definitely proven to be family friendly restaurant. Thank you Jen’s dad
Always love going to cast iron pot. First time at the SI location. Great Korean BBQ. Best I've experienced so far.
All around amazing food, services and vibes. Probably the best Korean BBQ on the island. 100% worth the trip - get the garlic steak, it is amazing!
I’ve been waiting for this location to open for a while so when I finally did try it I definitely wasn’t dissatisfied! It was so delicious and the meat was ACTUALLY MARINATED WITH FLAVOR. Definitely will be the only AYCE location i’m going to for Korean BBQ. Plus the kimchi is delicious, would rate it 6 stars if I could. Would recommend the thinly sliced pork belly.
Lee, Yun, and staff went above and beyond for my wife’s birthday, we love KPot and this will be our new go to spot from here on out!!! Highly recommend, don’t question it just get here!!!!!
This is a nice buffet style of Korean Hotpot, served on a traditional cast iron lid (ssot ddu kung). They have a good variety of meats of good quality and there are a good number of servers around with attentive eyes in case you need any help. The ventilation is decent, but no Korean BBQ place will let you leave without a bit of aroma. They also have a good selection of drinks, including soft drinks from Korea.
The Cast Iron Pot is a chain of AYCE Korean BBQ spots, all served on their signature Cast Iron Pot. Service was fast, and the food was perfect. They have space for large groups as well. Limits of 5 meat types per order, but that was enough for us. The server cooked the meat for us, and made sure to portion it for all of us. The meats itself are good, it is AYCE quality but the quality was higher than other AYCE places. My favorite was the beef intestines and the garlic cube steak. Definitely would recommend again.
The staff was very accommodating and service was superb. Our food orders were on our table in less than 5 minutes. The staff was helpful in answering our questions about the menu and gives their honest recommendations. Will be back again for sure!
this AYCE KBBQ spot is now part of my family’s rotation. the meat is always good and we love that they’re adding new items to the menu. we always get the cube steak, cast iron steak, pork belly and pork jowl. the staff cooks and cuts the meat for you and are attentive so that nothing burns. they also have some great sides like the beef soup, crab soup (must try if you like crab) and popcorn chicken. great spot to up your protein intake.
Absolutely loved everything about this place! The cat iron has vegetables, kimchi, mushrooms, and onions on it. You pick 3 meats (beef, chicken, poultry, seafood) and staff cooks it for you at the table. The food and sauces were very good (my favorite was the sweet/spicy soy sauce). I ordered the fried rice as a side, and it was the BEST fried rice I've ever had! Because I watch a lot of Korean shows, I was curious about the soju... OMG! The apple flavor was so good... I'm not much of a drinker, so I took it home. Lol! The service was amazing and the atmosphere was wonderful as well! When I return to NY, I'll definitely be back, but I'll be looking for one of these spots in California as well! 💯😋
I was impressed by this location. It exceeded my expectations for a place on Staten Island. We have been to a few all you can eat restaurants and this is up there. We didn't have to wait too long to be seated. The waiters were pleasant and assisted with the grilling. We had the dinner menu and had greater choices. There was an option to pick a few sides ( I recommend the popcorn chicken). I especially loved the kimchi because it was hot- I wish I could have taken some home. The food was just exceptional in quality. The restaurant was clean and the staff very professional. The hostess was very accommodating. I will highly recommend this place and will surely visit again.
Let's start from arriving at the parking lot where there is plenty of space. Once you're parked you will proceed to enter a beautifully designed interior of the restaurant. The staff will prepare your table while you wait. The restaurant is pretty big so even if you need to wait it won't be long. The meat is high quality for the price you pay. They have a good option of side dishes but that's not what I'm there for. The meat is the show. I don't like anything marinated so I get the ones that are unseasoned. The staff will change your cast iron plate as you eat so your food stays clean all the time. They have a good selection of drinks but don't have original flavor soju which is crazy. There's a nice selection of cocktails as well. Overall for the price I have no complaints. A good experience always when I'm there. Go give it a shot if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed.
First time coming to Cast Iron Pot!! I came here today with my family for a birthday dinner, and I had such a fun time! Our server, Vincent, was kind, attentive, and recommended such great options in the menu. Although the menu is simple, everything is delicious and worth trying! The chicken is SOOOO juicy, most places I have been to always overcook chicken, and it's so dry. But not here! This chicken was excellent. They have two kinds to try from also, marinated and spicy. I personally really like the spicy, but if you are not someone who likes spicy, definitely opt for trying the marinated one! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the design of the restaurant is very inviting, relaxing, and very interesting. I have been used to how 99 Favors does KBBQ, but this place is a WHOLE different experience. In fact, I liked it a lot better! All the staff are so friendly, and always have a smile on their face! I would recommend this to anyone, it's great for families, date night, or even if you want to eat here by yourself. They have a lunch and dinner menu, lunch menu is good from 11am-3pm, and anything after 3pm is the dinner menu. Kids 3 (and under) eat for free. Definitely try this location out! It was worth every minute.
A unique korean BBQ experience. The food was delicious and the venue was gorgeous. The staff were incredibly kind and fast, they cooked everything for us. The bathrooms smelled really nice and was exceptionally sleek and elegant. The sides are free, each person is $30 which is fairly priced. 10 y/o eat for half and toddlers were free. It was very clean with no physical menus because we were given QR codes for a digital menu. The staff were also very pretty/handsome.
I've been to most of the other cast iron pot locations and I have to say this place is just as good if not better than the others. The menu offers a large selection of your favorite protein, and authentic Korean side dishes. My personal favorite was their japchae, rich and sweet. Service was great and was very quick to respond. Will definitely return!

Cast Iron Pot Staten Island is a great all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ restaurant. The staff is always so friendly and attentive. The quality of meat and ingredients is great. My mom and I always have a good time when we visit.
Tried the one in Fairview NJ many many years ago and was so happy when they opened one on SI. This is probably the only authentic Korean bbq on the island (bc places like kpot are not authentic). My fav is the beef radish soup and steamed egg, my husband loves the seafood crab soup and we both enjoy the thin beef and pork belly kbbq most. I ask for raw garlic to cook on the side of cast iron, some crispy lettuce then add protein, sauce, kimchi and eat it like a taco, it’s so good.
Cast Iron Pot Island is a game-changer for Korean BBQ on Staten Island! Finally, a solid AYCE spot right here—went with a group and we were stuffed and happy. The highlight is definitely the meats: tender marinated bulgogi, juicy pork belly, flavorful brisket, and marinated chicken all grilled perfectly (love that the staff comes to cook it at the table so you don't have to fuss with the grill).
As a mother with children who have allergies, eating out at restaurants is always a challenge. Kevin made me feel very comfortable and assured me what was safe for my son to eat. Leo was also very accommodating. They went out of their way to cook my son’s food separately. Both servers made the best dining experience for both adults and kids. The food was great. I never write reviews but when I see people go above and beyond for others I feel they deserve some recognition.

Cast Iron Pot Island offers a culinary escape with its diverse menu and innovative use of cast iron pots. The attentive staff, intimate ambiance, and generous portions make it a standout dining destination. From flavorful dishes to tasteful decor, this hidden gem promises a delightful experience for both regulars and first-time visitors. A must-try for those seeking a unique and satisfying dining adventure.
New all-you-can-eat kbbq place on the island. In addition to the meats, there are also apps that are included in the all you can eat, some of the ones we got were the steamed egg, popcorn chicken and fried dumplings. The waiter grilled all of our meats for us and told us when it's done, so it's great place to go if you don't want to have to do the grilling. The meat pieces were good but the sides were just ok, a lot of fried items. Overall, enjoyable experience.
Great Korean BBQ- fresh food, excellent service, great price for all you can eat for 2 hours. Cook/server David held a nice conversation with me and my husband. Definitely going back.
So happy they finally opened a cast iron in Staten Island. Something that the island really needs. Th food is great. The menu had some extra items like calamari and popcorn chicken that the others don’t have. It’s still fairly new but I’m excited for the community to embrace Korean bbq.
Ordered the beef brisket (photo), garlic cubesteak, hanger steak, and thinly sliced pork belly as meats, cast iron steak. I would highly recommend the garlic cubesteak, cast iron steak, and thinly sliced pork belly!! The japchae and side salad were also very good! Crab soup was ok. Overall, a nice experience. The waiters were attentive and the atmosphere of the restaurant was calm and spacious. Id come again for lunch. A nice family dinner spot!
For a buffet type of Korean bbq. I think this is a good choice. There is enough meat to fill up your stomach. Food was cooked in front of you. Don’t expect you got premium beef. A nice place to have gathering either with friends or family to enjoy a nice meal. Better not to order too much side dishes.
I went to this restaurant last week, i went alone, but im telling you go with your friends. You have two hours to enjoy your bbq meal. I like the foods here. Side dishes are very delicious. And there was a beef soup, my goodness it was super delicious. And they have soju to. You don’t have to grill your meat they will do everything for you. I really enjoyed the foods. Place is so clean. Hospitality is so good. Thank you very much for the food. They have a big parking lot. You don’t have to worry about the parking. I’ll come again and wish you all the best!
I couldn't wait to try this K BBQ restaurant! When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked in and was greeted and sat in a booth area. Vincent was my server, and he was excellent! I started with the Soju Sunrise drink, and that was good. The next drink was the Soju bottle drink original, and that too was good. For food Vincent cooked for me and I got the Marinated Chicken, Spicy Chicken, Japchae noodles, Butter squid, Spicy squid Bean paste stew, and the Spicy tofu. I really loved the noodles, spicy chicken, and spicy squid the most! I also enjoyed the soup, along with the egg scramble they gave me. I wasn't a fan of the tofu and the shrimp out of all the dishes. I really enjoyed this experience!
2023.12 meat are fresh and good quality, however, taste average…. I think it is the sauce, not surprise at all. This is all you can eat portion is not an issue you can keep ordering. All beef are above average, my family said the squid is good. Hangover soup is really disappointing, nothing special at all, ingredients cow blood is dry. Consider reasonable price $40/pp plus tax and tip close to $55/pp

Most of the marinated meats I tried had the same sweet marinade. I wish there were more variation in it, like garlicky flavors, black bean, etc. I tried the garlic cube steak since it was a different marinade, but it turned out to be the same sweet marinade with not a single hint of garlic at all 😭. I even confirmed with a server it was the correct dish. I recommend the beef soup, and the sides were good but the kimchi was extremely sour. The place had just opened so I won't fault them for the lesser selection in seafood, and other meats. It might be because I ate during Xmas eve but it seemed that every server were juggling/cooking at 4-5 tables at a time. They put a single dish on the grill at a time, and only came back every ~10 minutes to check on it. They only let us order more meats after every 3 meats were eaten (we were only allowed to order 3 dishes at a time), but since only a dish was being cooked at a time and checked on infrequently, the process was extremely slow. We ended up asking for tongs to cook it ourselves.
Let me preface that I’ve been to a majority of AYCE kbbq spots particularly in north jersey. The penny pinching here is unbelievable, and they make it outwardly obvious, which ruined the experience from the beginning. First off, they time you for 2 hours once you sit. Not entirely a big deal, I get it, with assumption that we’ll actually get a steady flow of meat (not the case). The real issue is how they serve the food. We had a table of SIX. They would consistently serve 1 or 2 orders of brisket. Mind you we would only ask for this 1 meat, no steaks, nothing else. There would consistently be “waiting” periods where the food was finished and we’d have to wait for our next order to come in and cook. Now the “2 hour time limit” becomes an issue because they’re purposely slowly parsing out the flow of food and we never were able to get full due to all the waiting time before servings. Never experienced this issue in the cast iron in little ferry, o2 bbq in Guttenberg, or the other cast irons in Fairview. To top it all off, we’re 1 hour in and the waitress proactively asks if this is our “last order” on two instances. Really? For 40-50 a person, this specific location is NOT worth it. Just drive the extra few minutes to O2 bbq in Guttenberg, NJ. The brisket is better, the service is better, you don’t have to wait 10 minutes before orders, and you actually get your money’s worth. Oh yeah, and no time limit that they hound you on. Oh and good luck finding parking.
My boyfriend and I recently went here for date night, we usually go to the KPot in the plaza but wanted to change things up by going to Cast Iron Pot. Honestly, this was just disappointing. The food was wonderful, aside from a gnat/spider trying to crawl out of a slice of onion from the plate of vegetables they throw on the pot in the beginning. We just pushed the onion into the oil catcher. We were still hopeful that everything would be great though. It was not. Our service was meh. After we sat down, the server asked us if it was our first time (which it was, told us to scan the code on the table, said we could only order 3 proteins at a time and unlimited sides before leaving. When we opened the menu by scanning the code, neither of us were sure if we had to order through the website (like KPOT) or if we had to wait until he came back. He did come back 10 minutes later and we were able to order our food through him but we didn't like that no one had explained it properly especially since it was our first time here. It could've been easily rectified by saying "If you scan this code, it'll bring you to our menu and I'll be back to take your order" etc. We also had to ask for our own tongs because he was taking so long inbetween coming around after we got our order of food and we were trying to use our chopsticks to spread the meats on the pot to cook. No drinks were offered at any point, we did ask for sodas which is fine but it's the fact that no one asked if we wanted anything to drink. Also we didn't get any straws, which I could have asked for but I didn't. Throughout the entire service, I'm pretty sure we saw other servers more than ours because they came over to check on our food and cut up the pieces if it was too thick or too big to be cooked. Granted he did come around, not very often, but often enough that we were able to at least get 3 sides and 8 proteins I think? Our server seemed to spend more time with their boss chatting up this other table diagonal from us. I get it, you guys were having fun and they're some of your favorite customers, but please don't forget about the fact that you have other customers to attend to. We were originally going to order Tayoyaki Ice Cream before we left but since our server took about 4 songs worth to come back and spent it just laughing/talking and taking care of that table instead, we decided against it. He still ignored us and helped 2 other tables before my boyfriend got his attention for the check. I don't think I've felt as unwelcome in a restaurant as I did than when I came here. I love food, we both do and we love trying out other restaurants so that was a bit upsetting to be treated like our table was an inconvenience. Both of us have been in the restaurant industry and we understand that it gets busy, you're running all around trying to do everything, like we get it but neither of us felt truly welcome. I do appreciate the servers who did come over to help us as well as the ones who would come over to change out the pots for clean ones. Food wise: • The calamari tasted like mozzarella sticks? Like the batter was very close to the one for mozzarella sticks • Pork Dumplings looked and felt like an empanada. It was good but threw us off.
First time dining in this restaurant. Surprisingly not as busy as expected but maybe here’s why! Not recommend to come here in the summer, especially during the heat wave. No AC with grillers on!!! Everyone was literally sweating like hell! We voiced that eating here just like working out in a sauna room, but there’s nothing they could do! Poor air ventilation! My mom felt dizzy and needed to step out for some fresh air! Food was not good compared to other locations, and beef quality was bad! Really disappointed!!
Worst service you can get in a Korean bbq restaurant. we got two servers not one, and none of them tended to our table, every time we asked for someone they would tell us to wait and then we them hanging around doing absolutely nothing! I complained to the server and even then he just kept saying that it’s our fault for not waiting! Other tables next to us were getting their food very quickly and their servers were doing their jobs correctly. Don’t come here unless you’re lucky, you’ll get the good servers lol. And btw the food is not the best either and they have a limit 3 meats per order only.
Staff / cook was incredibly slow, inattentive, and forgetful. Meat was overcooked and we were not supplied with utensils to cook ourselves so we had dried meat. Incredibly disappointed because we came here at a very unbusy time where there were many free tables, yet every5bing took forever.
The food was served slowly, and I had to order soup 3-4 times before it came. I asked for more squid, but they only served two small pieces, which was not enough for 3 people to have a bite each... In short, it was a buffet, and they didn't dare to serve the food.
No explanation of menu !!! Despite me telling first time. No itemized bill for 120 $$$! Just started to cook never mentioned price 35 per person . Cleaned and put new cast iron while we were eating. !!!! How rude. 1/4 lb of chicken and pork and raw carrots uncooked veggies for my vegetarian daughter. Never said as much as you eat but rather asked whether done ordering and washed to place new cast iron. What a loot on New Year’s Eve. Most expensive restaurants we had been. What a disappointment me t fir NY food. Very unlike NY culture only purpose looting tourists. .
Came here yesterday (2/17/25) with my family and service was really terrible. We were promptly seated and we ordered a Coke, hot tea, Shirley Temple and Mango Lemonade with the waiter (KK). Coke and hot tea came quickly but the other two drinks didn’t. After waiting over 20+ minutes, we asked our waiter, where is our drinks. He said they are coming, so we waited. After waiting another 10+ minutes, we still didn’t get our drinks. We asked again and our waiter said they are making it. So we waited again and we still didn’t get our drinks after waiting another 5+ minutes. Later we asked our waiter how much more longer we have to wait for our drinks since our kids had already had a full meal and were thirsty. The waiter annoying told us to let the kids drink water and wait. This was an unacceptable and a terrible experience!!!
Firstly the service. Our server John, was very slow and not attuned to our needs. He left our meat cooking for too long where pieces were left burnt and crisp. There were also no tongs left on the table for us to cook ourselves, so we can only try to flip the food with our wooden chopsticks. Keep in mind you're only allowed to order three selections at a time, and when we tried to order more, John told us to wait as he went to take the check of one table, then cook for a few other tables before coming to put in our order, which then took time for them to prepare and made us wait even longer. Keep in mind they do have a good amount of staff, but for some reason some tables are better taken care of whereas others are tossed to the side, which unfortunately made us feel forgotten. We also had to repeat our order a few times for sometimes they forget to input it and sometimes brought us the wrong meat. The Mexican/spanish busboy staff were more diligent at their job and actually helped get us what we asked more often than the Korean staff that cooked the meat, so definitely ask the busboys if you need something! Ambiance: restaurant is spacious and has television all around playing music videos of various Korean bands. Pretty comfortable so no complaints there at all. Now onto the food: Beef brisket: like many other reviewers, the brisket was nothing special and since they left it cooking for a while without attending it, most of the pieces were overly charred which made it even less enjoyable. Hanger tender steak: also nothing special, for the texture was only somewhat tender and the sauce didn't really enhance its flavor profile. Garlic cube steak: lots of people recommend this and it is definitely very tender. But the garlic flavor was a bit off to me, kind of reminded me of the flavors of escargot. Not a bad pick so definitely worth a try. Top blade steak: chewy and not tender, don't get it. Cast iron steak: definitely one of the better selection, for it's tender and flavorful when combined with the sauces and spices of your choice. Get this if you like steak! Marinated pork rib: this is just mediocre for us, for its sweetness overpowered the flavor of the meat. It's tender but that's really it. Bulgogi: just a very sweetly marinated beef dish, too sweet in our opinion and doesn't taste that good. I'd skip it. Sides: Japchae: overly peppered where it overpowered the entire dish. We really couldn't taste anything else asides from black pepper.. Rice cake: decent where it's chewy inside and crispy outside, not bad. Steamed egg: typical average steamed egg with lots of scallion. Bean paste soup: very salty where we needed to add water to dilute its saltiness, don't get it. Overall, the only food that was remotely tasty, was the cast iron steak. Nothing else was that good and the service left a lot to be desired. They can definitely improve by having one server attend to only 3-4 tables and put a little more effort in their work, for a few of them just kept walking around leaving only one server to take care of 7 at times. Also, it would be nice to give customers tongs so they can cook themselves, and also tell diners when the food is ready, they often just cook it and leave it and it appears done but there's no interaction so it's just up to us to guess and try it ourselves. We've been to many KBBQ where the servers are very attentive and lets us know when it's done and even ask how we like it cooked. Thus, this experience was probably one of the worst I had in KBBQ and for its dinner price tag of 40 bucks per person, it's totally not worth it and I wouldn't recommend it. If you do give them a shot, best of luck and I wish them the best in improving the quality of their meat and the quality of their inattentive service. Thank you to the busboys (Carlos especially) for helping us get what we wanted, for I'm sure we would've been even more frustrated without their attentiveness! Thank you for reading and good luck! (:
This restaurant hangs up AI art. This is incredibly disgusting and undignified to any artist, and I strongly recommend nobody to support it until it replaces it with something made by a human.

The service was really bad. We were told to wait while the host was laughing around, even though the place was basically empty. Our food was dropped on an empty table next to us and we had to grab it ourselves. No water, no check-ins, no service at all besides putting food down. The staff clearly didn’t care. The food wasn’t great either — very average and totally forgettable. Not worth the time or money.
its really suck……Terrible service. We only had less than one plate of food left, yet they still charged us an extra fee. The tip was also mandatory, which made the experience even worse. We’re from New Jersey and this was our first time visiting the island, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The food selection was very limited, and the server looked visibly impatient the entire time. We will never come back. Honestly, it’s not even as good as the KPOT next door.
