Best taquitos with guacamole and cheese, make sure to get extra red sauce containers...pair that with the bacon breakfast burrito and you will not be sorry. Hands down best taquitos around! Super generous with guacamole. Come hungry!
Come on now! My go-to spot! I eat here about 5 days a week. Been coming here over 20 years. Always real food, real quick! Tbh tho... The carne asada is hit and miss, depends on who's cheffin'. It's premade every 90 min starting at 6am. *Pro tip* If you get the pollo asado instead, they make that fresh for every order....you're welcome!
My fiance and i come here all the time we never had a bad experience with their food. The dining room is not big but who cares when the food is the best =) The drive through is convenient but it looks like their Drive-Thru menu got run over a few times.
I haven't been to this Adalberto's in years, and I came by yesterday evening through the drive thru. I ordered 5 rolled tacos- chicken w/ guacamole and cheese, and a chicken burrito light beans no salsa fresca. The food and service were AMAZING! Despite the normal Friday night wait. That's just par for the course.👍😁😊
I was highly impressed on how clean the kitchen is.!!!! While going thru the drive thru, they had their back door propped open & I could see into their kitchen, they had no idea I would b posting a comment, which inspired me more to acknowledge this.! Great menu!!! Excellent everything!
Love the food come here late for the first options nice people really friendly. Very clean perfect spice for new people place needs more locations
I was able to call in my order while driving across town to pick up the food. It was ready when I got there, service was quick and kind. Always worth having to drive to the other side of town, food is great,
Always a good spot for the Cal-Mex food craving. My personal favorites are the rolled tacos or Asada fries! Make sure to bring your hunger so you can kill it here.
Great food and fast friendly service. This restaurant has been a favorite of mine since highschool. The super burrito is huge and amazing. Never been here? Can't go wrong with a California burrito.
The food is always on piint. The restaurant and the outside restroom were immaculate. Service was amazing
I got through the drive through on my motorcycle and they always make wrap it up perfect so I can carry my food home. My cali burrito has been perfect every time I ask for guacamole and sour cream and they alway put like the perfect amount it not too much and not too little.
Great family run restaurant. They custom made my breakfast when I told them what I wanted. Juevos divorciados. I guess it's a regional thing, but they made it and it was delicious. Thanks Adalberto!
Everything I've every tried from here has been great . I'd not been here for a few years because of living in a different state. I was pleased to find that it was still here serving amazing food. It will remain a go to spot
I love Adalbertos! I’ve been eating here probably twice a month for over 15 years. They are consistent and good! Machaca torta is one of my favorites. Giant Carnitas taco is equal to 3 street tacos.
Good food, and decent prices. The food is always hot, and tasty. Every order comes with red and green salsa. The menu is quite extensive, and they serve Menudo on Saturday and Sunday. They have some really good breakfast burritos, and rolled tacos. They are usually open pretty late as well. Never disappointed when coming here.
My go to place for shredded beef tostadas. Giant tacos and chimichangas.
Food was only three stars but the service was fast and the customer service was excellent! Brenda was at the register and she was very friendly, helpful and patient with my undecisive children. She went above and beyond with stickers and smiles. For her inviting personality, we will return. Her only downfall, she's a Cowboys fan 😎
Been going here for 20+ years now? Best Cali burritos IMO. They use string fires, so the potato is not overpowering, and asada well seasoned. I mean the burrito is huge, so if you manage to eat more than half, the whole meal is heavy, but potato talk, it's balanced. Breakfast burritos are BOSS, and they offer like 6+ versions so depending on how you were raised (chorizo and potato only, chorizo and eggs only, or chorizo potato and eggs, etc) you can find a version of your abuelita's here. They had to raise prices recently, but even still, what you for the money is worth it. Used to have a salsa bar inside, haven't been inside since covid, so can't update that, but the drive thru makes this place very convient if you have car full of kids and don't want to wrangle them in the summer heat.
The food was amazing and super fulfilling. But to the woman who took my order in the drive through on sunday 4/17/2022 at about 10:35 with the bunny ears. I'm sorry for your pain. You seemed very rushed and upset. I hope you have a wonderful night. I can only imagine that the only reason you were like that was because you have stuff going on in your life that may be hard to deal with. I never got your name but I wish you well.
it's been years since i've had adalbertos but they deserve this review because there's simply not another breakfast burrito spot like adalberto's here in texas. i miss you adalberto's
Reminds me of other Mexican restaurants that I used to frequent when I lived in Southern California. It's been very hard to find good Mexican food in and around Stockton, but this place delivers big. Authentic food with great flavor and great prices. I will be back again and again.
We use to get take out here years ago. It was nice to see it in business still. I got a.beef tamale which was delicious. It's worth stopping while traveling I5 to get food here. I also had an ice tea and honestly felt that was a bit watered down.
Best California Burrito. Been craving one for a decade since I'd last been here and it was just as good as I remembered. This is the best location as well. Don't judge until you've tried it, nothing better IMHO.
Great service friendly staff talked to my dog and food was great.
Best breakfast burrito....went through the drive through and picked up our food take home .... yummy
When I tell you this is the absolutely the best, authentic, Mexican food closest to San Diego 👌🏽😋! My husband is from San Diego. He introduced me to rolled tacos when I first visited SoCal. I have been in ❤️ every since! I have worked in Stockton in the past years. I hate that I didn't know about this place before. I tried Albertos by St. Mary's Highschool. It was okay. We tried this establishment once. But, the second time, this location hit a home run! It's clean, and friendly service. You can smell Fabulosa in the air. I love that there are women and men working there. Additionally, I am a advocate for cleanliness and condiments being kept from cross contamination. Their's are prepackaged, to go and kept in fridge. The 🥕 and jalapeños are perfect 👌🏽. The little red sauce is 😋, not hot and pairs perfect mixed with the Pico de Gallo. The guacamole is smooth and just the right consistency. We get the regular beef 🌮 fried to a crunch. I can't say enough about the ladies and the male cooks ability to please their customers! My husband and I have been 3 times this week. Go get you some! Tell them exactly what you want. They don't dissapoint! 😄 customers!
Best breakfast burrito in North Stockton!! Can’t go wrong with their chorizo breakfast burrito—get extra salsa on the side because it’s delicious and the burrito is huge! And to top it all, get some horchata for the best weekend breakfast/brunch.
We order breakfast from here at least 2x's a week and the food is consistently FRESH, HOT & DELICIOUS. Love their rice and beans too. You won't be disappointed.
Household favorite! My family has been eating here for years and we've always loved it! We usually get the breakfast burritos and their horchata is amazing
We came here because we were just passing through town and it was one of the only places we could find that was open late . The food here was pretty good. I did ask for melted cheese on my nachos, and the girl behind the counter said no, without any kind of explanation. I ordered them anyways and they were good. The rolled tacos were fine as well, next time, I would try beef rather than chicken. They were very generous with the sour cream and sauce that came on the side was nice and not overly spiced. This is a very small restaurant, and there were about eight or nine employees behind the counter. I’m pretty sure they were all cleaning because this place was spotless. And by spotless, I mean, there was zero dust in the windowsills, on the floors or anywhere else. The bathroom is outside and it was the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen at a restaurant. I would eat here again.
Very good. I had the super chicken burrito and it was fantastic! Not only was it delicious, it was enormous, probably close to 2 lbs. I had never heard of this place, and this was the only drive thru we could fit our little motor home through. Man am I glad we found this place. I just wish there was once where I live.
It’s a great local establishment that caters to those who want the taco truck type food without the taco truck with a few proprietary specialty items . The food was fresh and tasted good . The service was friendly and the order was prepared quickly . There is a play area outside for your kids . They would have gotten a five star but I ,also as previously mentioned by another reviewer , had some me trying to mop the floor while I was eating . That was not acceptable and should have waited till another time . Sweeping and mopping the floor should not done while customers are eating.
I used the drive threw for today's visit. The staff were quick and friendly. The burritos we ordered were large and very good. Little expensive but worth it. I'll definitely be returning.
I've eaten there many times and always enjoyed it especially the chili rellenos, chicken tacos, menudo, and all their combinations of chips and salsa. Their food rivals many Mexican restaurants. Portions are more than plentiful. The atmosphere is very casual. Seating is limited and you order at the counter. It seems they get alot of drive thrus and take outs. Highly recommend.
I have been going here for 20+ years. Food is good and the tacos are one of my favorites. Everything is cooked while you wait and the the salsa bar inside is loaded. The prices have gone up but, the quality is the same. I will gladly pay for food this good!
I come for the breakfast burrito. They’re made very well here. I always see the staff here are very busy. I am satisfied with their food here
My boyfriend loves this place. I enjoy it also, a little pricey but good asada! We only do the drive thru and park and eat so as for the inside I am not sure. Customer service has always been great.
I usually go here for breakfast burritos. They are always freshly made. I guess it depends on who is cooking because some are better than others. It can vary from very good to average. The good thing is I never had a bad one.
Their prices have went up. A #23 with a large water cost me 14.99 and the burrito looked more like a taquito. But overall still one of my favorite places in town.
Ok so I LOVE this place and they’re open late which is awesome. Portions are amazing! Through the drive thru, they have you COVERED if you ask for anything and they are so polite and kind. When ordering delivery, you prob won’t get much salsa unless you ask for more, and that’s hit or miss. I just nicely ask for more in the notes and sometimes I get it! In person, I always get the salsa with no issue 😅 they did seem to change what green salsa they use, I miss the old one. They will also not give green unless you ask with the cali burrito at least :)
We come here whenever we visit. I got the ham breakfast burrito. It is always good. They service is fast normally. Their prices have increased since we last came.
We used to stop by going from the Bay Area through Sacramento all the time at this place. It really hasn’t changed much over the last few years. Still looks exactly the same, with some minor updates here and there. Food still tastes as good as it did but the seating area was a little smelly. I didn’t care, cause I was hungry. Get the rolled tacos with chicken or beef. Winner winner.
In my personal opinion, this spot has the healthiest breakfast burritos. You don't get that grease all over the wrapper and it's also a decent size too. My only issue is, it takes at least 10 mins to get your food so if you're trying to pickup food before your commute or work. Come early!!!
The food's a little bit on the pricey side but delicious and convenient if you're craving Mexican food late night. always fast, highly recommend.
I like their rolled tacos for a snack. Good breakfast burritos. Their menudo is a bit weak on flavor.
The food is okay, not the best but not the worst. At times, it has been very salty, but not always. The price is high, just like any other fast food. I would eat there again if I'm in the area and I'm craving Mexican food.
Food is tasty. Service is excellent. I had the machaca with rice and beans and it was good. Hubby had the chicken taco plate and he loved it. Also shared the rolled chicken tacos with sour cream, guacamole, and cheese and these were tasty. Various salsas and pickled jalapenos are served on the condiment bar along with fresh tortilla chips. I've had the burritos in the past and those are delicious! Good, affordable Mexican food that's worth a try!
Would have given them 5 stars but still cannot get over the fact that the young man was sweeping the dinning room while I was eating . I finally had to pack up my food and leave, all I could think of was what was stirring in the air and possibly landing on my food! But , I love the food and chips and salsa are fresh and perfectly spiced! I just suggest taking your food to go!
Drive thru service was fast, but over all I was not impressed with the food. They burnt the hell out of my taco shell. So much so I had to just dig out the filling and eat it on the side. And their beans tasted like they sat in a warmer all day. If asked, I would never eat their again.
Great service, the staff was really nice. This was the first time my son and I had the burritos from there and I was not impressed! Especially after spending 25.00$ for those and 1 soda.
Just went to get Chorizo burrito for me and Machaca burrito for my brother before a day of moving. We're both hungry and both burritos were bland as hell with no flavor. How can Chorizo have no flavor? This used to be the best breakfast burrito in town, but not anymore.
I love albertos!! We always go there!! And just this night were there in the drive thru. My husband is upset because they didnt give the receipt when they hand the food he wanted to ask for it but he sunddenly close the window. Just a suggestion can you just give the reciept please even tho they didnt ask for it just put it on the bag some people want to track their expenses.
I went in expecting quite a bit based off of the high reviews but quickly learned this place was average. The prices are pretty average, the food was okay, and the service was okay. They fulfilled my order just fine, but there were three other people in the restaurant at the same time that had to go up to the counter with incorrect orders.
I would imagine this is good for some people, however, I have not had a successful experience here yet, and I've had a friend, take me here, 3 different times. The other 2 times I tried the asada and shrimp burrito, and an asada with shredded chicken. This time was the breakfast, steak burrito. All gross, dried up, hard, and totally made way different than how I ordered them. And I ordered them from the menu. I didn't even change anything. Still sucked. The service isn't much better. They don't speak or even look at u and ANYTHING u say, they respond with "yeah yeah yeah, it's in the bag. Yesterday we ordered asada nachos. They gave us nachos, NO ASADA. AND IT WAS A SUPER SIZE. Just got a bag of chips. Fo'real. I'm done and never going back.
Slow in drive throws, and workers always playing around inside
It's been almost a year since I last ate here. I'm not sure what I ate but their asada tasted like ground beef & looked like it was ground mixed with pieces of actual asada. It was not like any asada I've ever had, but rather mushed up. It lacked flavor/seasoning. The 3 stars overall is because I recall their chicken flautas & shrimp items being good overall.
Used to be so excited to get the #24 breakfast burrito when I came to town. Now it doesn’t taste the same. I think they changed how the made their bacon. Now it’s super thick cut & hardly cooked, I pulled brown pieces out that looked like expired meat. Unfortunate!
I just wish they listened when I asked for extra crispy carnitas other than that the food was good
I just ordered two Asada burritos and a soda and the bill was $27.00!! Really! Almost $30 for two burritos!! Didn't realize we are living in Beverly Hills! Love the food but not at these prices!
Came here because the rating seem pretty decent and I have a couple of family members that have came here, but the quality of food is not good. Salsa is watery, food is sometimes hard. I tried to give it a couple chances but each time was disappointing. I will say the food comes pretty fast but for what you get it’s not worth it.
Poor quality food. Combos are very pricey. My food was not hot, barely warm. Cheese in enchilada was not even melted. I will never go back. Viva taco bell. Much cheaper and tastier. Cleaner, too.
The food to expensive doesn't taste like Mexican food as much money you pay you can eat real Mexican food like at Casa Flores, Octavia or El Senior Frog. Told them 4 times not to forget my guacamole on my tostada guess what they forgot again and I was the only one there. This is the 3rd time they messed up my order in a month if I feel like a burrito then I'll go other than that stay away the cheese tasted spoiled also. Waste of $42.00. Only good thing they make is burritos. That's it. I'm going to tell my nephew he's a cop him and his friends go there well I'm going to tell them to stay away not worth it.
I love their breakfast burritos and asada fries! Very great simple food and portions! But ever since they closed their open chips and salsa bar, visiting the place hasn't been worth it. Will definitely be back once they reopen the chips and salsa bar! Until then, I'll go else where.
This used to be a great place to get food, but now I have to say over and over what I want only for it still to be wrong every time I give them another chance. I don't think they listen at all when you order anymore honestly. Ask for ONE thing on my tacos and I don't even get that, and then you drown it in sour cream which YOU clarified I did not want.
The food is good. i go at least once a week to grab some chicken tostada. I love all the food at Adalberto’s!! But last night, after eating it, I felt that my stomach was feeling weird. Today I wake up with food poisoning!! And feeling awful. After eating it, I felt right away something was different. It was around 9:00 pm. I am disliking having to write a bad review because I love going to Adalberto’s when I miss eating something tasty! I even recommend the place to friends which I’ll stop doing now. There is no way to get food poisoning if the food were well prepared and kept hot accordingly to avoid bacteria growth. Anyway, I hope this review help for them to be more careful regarding food preparation and quality at all times.
Food tastes great, customer service sucks. Employees aren't friendly and does not greet you. When I bring my Hispanic mother they are very kind to her.
Service was fine. Place was clean inside. Got my burrito pretty quick. But it wasn't good. Got the California burrito. Fries were maybe halfway cooked. Cheese not melted. For the price this burrito should have been better. Albertos is 10 times better.
Igor into the restaurant and order a burrito! The sign clearly states for a super burrito any meat all ingredients for one price! I ordered a shredded chicken , all of a sudden guacamole is extra! I ordered the one super burrito that doesn’t include it! I explained what the sigh says! I had to pay 1.50 more! Upon leaving the staff was laughing at me! This. Happened 9-26-2025 at 3:30! I used to go there all of the time when I lived in Stockton! I call the other place with the same name and they told me they include guacamole with all of their super burritos! So I won’t be going there ever again! I used to live around that restaurant! I wish I could talk to the owner! People go to the other restaurant with the same name close to the mall! The burrito was better than expected!
Ordered a super burrito with carne asada ahad no meat in it it tasted just like it looked and it was $17. This was hands down one of the nastiest burritos I've ever had.
Waited in for too long only to be served sloppy plates that were spilling over. Once I got home I found that the food was not even correct. This used to be a place worth driving across town for, now its a place I'll recommend to avoid.
Not going there right before they close this was the second time this happened where my food was not hot at all & I was charged 2.50 4 the chips they give out 4 free!! Food tastes better in the morning time when the whole crew is there hooking it up!!! 4 stars during the day 1 *for the night shift when it's around 11:20 ish
I came here to just get a quick bite to eat. There was no line or even anyone in the parking lot. I started to order in the drive through and half way through our order the girl taking it just got an attitude. So I ignored it and just finished ordering and went up to the window. Her XL super burrito looking self literally snatched the card out of my hand without saying anything. Then nearly threw it back into my hand and handed me my food. I sat there for a few seconds confused. And she literally opened the window back up and asked if we were missing anything sarcastically and I said no then she said “you can leave then” and closed the window.
Decided to try this place out never again will I go there again the food was over priced and for it to taste nasty husband got a burrito and he loves them he took 2 bites and couldn’t finish it and i got carne asada fries with soggy fries and carne asada that didn’t even taste like carne asada
This was the first taco shop I tried in Stockton. I was skeptical being from San Diego so as soon as I pulled out the drive thru I opened my box to check my order. (Carne Asada Fries) right on top was a piece of hair that turned out to be super long when I pulled it out. I went back inside to let them know (discreetly) the cashier had a attitude that I said something and the cooks were laughing. Not once did they say sorry. They asked if I wanted another order but at that point I just wanted my money back. Unsanitary and the customer service was trash.
Pre-COVID, I used to stop by this location very often to order the carne asada fries; IMO they were the best I have tasted. However, that was 3-4 years; in my 2 recent visits (2022), the fries were one of the worst things I have tasted. During my first visit, the food had no flavor, and a few fries were uncooked. On my 2nd visit (04/19/22). The carne asada fries' meat was tasteless, a few fries were uncooked, the sauce was watery, and the food made my sister and I nauseous, lightheaded, and have diarrhea. I will never go back, and I would instead go somewhere else or go hungry for the rest of the day than stop here again.
The only reason they get 1 star is because the dining area and bathroom was spotless. I ordered a breakfast burrito that ended up being terrible. Eggs over cooked, potatoes under cooked and the meat was stringy and flavorless. My friend got tacos that the tortillas were gummy from being steamed and the meat was flavorless. We spent close to $30 for food and feel like we're ripped off. I've had food from this location before a few years ago and it was delicious. They need to step up their standards because I won't recommend this place to anyone.
Originally I gave a 4, but I sadly have to retract it and give a 1 now. Lately their quality in quantity has gone down the drain. Quality is never consistent anymore and their meat portions have been reduced to mere pieces.. Recently ordered their steak breakfast burrito and I received the thinnest portion of beef ever, barely noticeable looking at the burrito layers. Cheese was barely there and stuffed with a whole bunch of potatoes trying to make up for the size of the burrito. Ladies on the drive thru could also use a class in customer service. Their competitor across the street has been so much more consistent in quality, quantity, and even service. Think I'll have to pass on this place from now on.
The rating for this place would be negative ( -⭐)!! This was the 2x ordering from .I thought different 🤞 location maybe quality better...I WAS wrong 😕🤮🤢 taco shells like rocks, taco salad soaked in watery sauce.unable to swallow shredded beef dry like beef jerky only w/o flavor..rice & beans bland almost taste cardboard pakge.came in..the tea was like watered down . enchiladas had raw green bell peppers!!I HAVE NO IDEA HOW STILL OPEN
Ive been eating from here for years. Today we ordered 3 burritos, $42!!! Are you kidding me?! If i was there with my son we would NOT have paid and when they got home and i took a bite it was not good, i gave it away. But the price is way too much especially for Mexican food, unfortunately not going back, ever! And…we drive from Lodi, wast of time and money!!!! Put the updated menu on your website so we can make the decision to drive all that way before we decide to waste money!!!
The food was lacking in flavor, but the fries were good. The dine-in area smelled of urine strongly. The person I went with and myself got a stomachs no Okinawa 9pm
The people that work here are kind & hard workers, but the food taste has gone downhill. I keep going back and keep leaving feeling sick. It used to be much better. I don’t think the problem is staff. I think the problem is staff has to cook what they are given?
Tacos are way too chewy and the salsa was just like tomato sauce.
This place has really taken a turn for the worst. I ordered a number one the other day, two crispy beef tacos with rice and beans. At first glance it looked like they gave me somebody else's leftovers. The two crispy tacos were all smashed up and the portions were almost non-existent. Where was the lettuce? Where was the cheese etc? It looked terrible. There was also a 2" hole in the styrofoam box in the upper right hand corner. Not sure what that was all about. Even the containers of hot sauce looked like they were picked out of the trash or something. Just covered in grease, cheese etc. The whole thing was an absolute mess so I threw it out. I was afraid to eat it..
So I’ve been coming here for years and the food is amazing but the customer service Is ridiculous!!! I literally have spent thousands of dollars with them over the years!!! And this young girl that works in the drive-through is always very rude and disrespectful!!! Today I went and got my burrito paid for extra hot sauce, and she did not put the extra hot sauce in the bag!!! And charge me extra for it!!! Every time I go through the drive-through in the morning, she’s always in a bad mood and always seems like she Does not like to talk to people!!! I feel like if she does not want to be in the drive-through maybe she should be cooking on the grill or something because customer service is very important when you’re running a restaurant or any type of establishment!!! I’ve been coming here for years, but she literally makes me not want to go back ever again!!! That’s how rude And disrespectful she is!!!
Food is good but staff could be better. The ladies that work the counter and drive thru are always rude and never make sure everything is in the bag. Shift managers are useless because they’re rude and will turn their back when you talk to them. Need better employees.
Sadly this place (we used to love) is NO longer any good. Everything about our 2 burritos was VERY bad. We had the Pollo Asada super and Breakfast supper burrito and the taste was horrible. Even the hot sauce has changed for the WORSE. We had come here of years. Sorry to say we won’t be coming back. 👎
Honestly, this place has gone down hill. I am pregnant and severely allergic to guacamole, and my husband drove across town to get us burritos for dinner. He specifically asked them for a plain burrito like he always does with no pico and no guacamole. So what do they do?? They lather BOTH burritos in guacamole. I took a nice big bite of my burrito and got a mouthful of guacamole. So now, I'm freaking out worried it will have an effect on my baby and my mouth and lips are on fire. I called them to warn them to be careful and they didn't care in the least that there inability follow simple instructions led to a pregnant woman having a bad allergic reaction. They told me to call in the morning to speak to their manager if I was so upset about it. Better hope this doesn't affect my baby or I'm suing! Maybe a lawsuit will catch their bored attention then?!
Adalbertos needs improvement! I ate here a lot while growing up. I loved the California burrito and the #24. Adalbertos was very comforting and would bring me back to the old days. I would be sure to pick one up every time I came to Stockton. However, the last few visits have been very disappointing. I like to order sour cream with my burritos and when I request it at the window, they repeat it back like they heard me but the sour cream is never there. It's never there😢. I also ask for a side of jalapenos but not once have I received it. Also, the hot sauce is definitely not what it used to be. It's watery, much lighter in color, lacks flavor, and is noticeably missing heat. I've given it so many second chances I don't think I'll be returning any time soon.
