Great service from Jill!! Andiamo is really nice inside and has an upscale feel without feeling stuffy. Chicken parm sandwich is good. Bread is the highlight. Looks like it will be a hard crunch, but it's not. Just a thin crunch to it and very soft.

We stopped in for dinner on New Year's Day after visiting Mystic Village. No reservations, but had no trouble getting a table. The mista salad, homemade pasta and bread were all amazing! Service was excellent! We will definitely be back.

Andiamo in Mystic has quickly carved out a name for itself, and one meal here makes it clear why. The evening began with cheesy garlic bread, a golden, bubbling plate layered with mozzarella and Parmesan, anchored by a side of marinara. It is comfort food done right, simple but impossible to resist. From there, the baked rigatoni Alforno set a higher bar. This hearty medley of sausage, meatballs, roasted red peppers, and fontina comes together under a blanket of marinara with a dollop of ricotta that stole the show. Each bite carried richness balanced with just enough herbaceous lift. The Parmesan chicken kept the theme going. A crisp cutlet, the restaurant’s signature marinara, and a balance of textures made it feel both familiar and elevated. Then came dessert, and the standout was the bombolini. Warm, sugar-dusted doughnuts filled with vanilla cannoli cream were paired with vanilla gelato and finished with a chocolate drizzle that poured generously. Over the top in the best possible way, this was the dish that left everyone at the table grinning. The finale was a cappuccino, frothy and strong, the kind that makes you want to linger at the table a little longer. Beyond the plates, the experience shines in the details. The dining room feels cozy, the team makes you feel genuinely welcome, and the service is as memorable as the food. If you can, ask for Megan, who is truly outstanding. It was great to see you, Sonny. It’s been a long time. Since its opening in late 2022, Andiamo has blended Old World Italian traditions with a New England sensibility. The result is a restaurant that feels like it has been part of Mystic’s fabric much longer than it has. It is not just recommended, it is the kind of place that easily becomes a go-to. #mystic #Connecticut #Italian #foodie #restaurant

So happy to have this place as part of the community. Went back to Andiamo this holiday season and it didn’t disappoint. Chicken Parmesan is to die for— and portion sizes are always huge. Espresso martini flight was also tasty. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, service was average.

We got there late at night and didn't wait for long. The service was good and the food was delicious. If you are around, it's a great option. I think most plates can be share between 2 people.

Friendlys has turned into Andiamos. Very nice atmosphere and I liked it was handicap accessible. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer but was informed it had red pepper flakes so I couldnt eat it but everyone enjoyed them. They give you bread with a flavored butter which was very good. We ordered Cod Piccata, Papperdelle Bolognese, Chicken Milanse and Sea Scallops. We were there for lunch so lunch portions. I had to tweak my Milanse because of red pepper flakes but they made me grilled chicken instead. Everything was delicious. We enjoyed our food, company and the waitress was pleasant and accomodating.

Trevor was our server. He led us in the right direction for appetizers and our meals. He was spotbon with the detail into the specials and meals, and we all enjoyed the food and service. Thanks Andiamo's, we'll be back.

Had dinner here last night and everything was superb. The food, drinks and service were amazing. Beautiful bar area and great atmosphere. Definitely recommend making reservations. A little pricey but worth it.

We had a family birthday celebration at Andiamo. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and prices are reasonable for Mystic. Our meals were hot and fresh. The waitress was friendly and checked in on our table often. The one thing that I wish they included with a purchase of an entrée was a salad (for example like Tony D's in New London). Overall, it was an awesome dinner, and I will visit again.

When visiting Mystic, we stumbled upon an amazing Italian restaurant by chance during lunch. It’s a hidden gem that I haven’t seen many people recommend, so I’m sharing it here for anyone traveling or exploring the town! From the moment we stepped in, we were amazed by the cozy Christmas vibes. The place was decked out in festive decorations, making it feel super warm and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly as well. Before the meal, they served complimentary bread, just like many Western restaurants. The bread was perfectly baked—soft inside, crispy outside. Paired with their special butter, it was the perfect way to start! Here’s what we ordered: 🌟 Salt-Baked Clams (6 pieces) One of the appetizers we picked was the salt-baked clams. They were seasoned with salt and mixed with cheese. Each bite was delightful, and the clams were cleaned thoroughly with no grit at all. However, if you eat too much of the seasoning, it can be a bit salty. 🌟 Shrimp and Tomato Bread Similar to bruschetta, this dish had shrimp and tomatoes baked together on top. It was incredibly tasty! The bread was the same as their complimentary bread—soft in the center with crispy edges. Each bite was super satisfying. 🌟 Cod with Barley and Tomato For our first entrée, we chose the cod with barley. The cod was tender and flavorful, perfectly cooked. The small black grains under the fish resembled fish roe but were actually their special beans. Paired with the cod, they were delicious! The side tomatoes were stewed until soft and full of flavor—absolutely amazing. 🌟 Spinach and Cheese Pasta This pasta dish had a unique shape and a wonderful texture. It included spinach and small sausage bits. The server mentioned that their house-made sausage had a bit of spice, and they were right—it had a subtle kick! Combined with the pasta, the flavor was perfectly balanced and even more appetizing. Overall, if you’re visiting Mystic and aren’t sure where to eat, I highly recommend this place!

My server was so great her name was Angela R I had homemade pappardelle and meatballs I had a cheese pizza I had a BOMBOLINI Desert and it was a fried cinnamon donut with homemade vanilla Gelato and the Gelato was on top of the fried cinnamon donut and I got an extra scoop of homemade vanilla Gelato after. So Angela made a little mistake but she made it better by just having a new pizza cooked with just plain sauce and cheese and no parsley on it and once the pizza came it looked good and I ate it all and I had 3 pieces left and She let me wait awhile and she was able to have it in the oven to make it hot again which was really good since there was no microwave I also got hot homemade bread . My pappardelle and meatballs were so good. They make the homemade pappardelle in the restaurant. Angela kept refilling my ice water a lot and that was good I didn't have to ask bc she automatically filled up my ice water. So bc of everything Angela did for me I gave her a nice tip but I will not say how much I gave bc that's not important. I would definitely go back again and have Angela R as my server again. Oh and the manger was very nice as well. I liked the music they were playing also

Andiamo was a beautiful place. The main area has bar seating and high booths along the back wall with more intimate seating to the left and in the back room. Jen, our waitress, was great. She was patient, helpful, was informative about the menu, and attentive. The food was also delicious and in my opinion portioned well for the price. It is decently kid friendly and offers pasta dinners for kiddos and a chicken dish. The restaurant environment didn’t make it feel uncomfortable about the kids being kids.

We did take out for our first experience at Andiamo’s. We were very surprised by the large portions. The food was delicious and fresh. The chicken Marsala was divine. Our pepperoni pizza was crispy and packed with flavor. The meatballs melt in your mouth. The only thing we weren’t into was the butter. It had a funky blue cheese taste to it. The inside of the restaurant was spacious, updated decor and a very cool bar. We look forward to dining in next time. 😋

One of the most delicious Italian meals I’ve ever had began with superb shrimp bruschetta piled high with butter-poached shrimp, roasted grape tomatoes, and fresh basil pesto on thick cut, sturdy Italian bread. The chicken Parmesan cutlet was superb, as were the beef and pork meatballs, the red sauce, and the burrata salad. Cozy, old-world style decor with attentive service makes Andiamo perfect for a date, gathering of friends, or a family meal.

This place was very good. Food was delicious and presented well. Service was great. We were checked on throughout the meal but not too much to be interrupting. Lighting is lower but sufficient to see everything. Our table was a bit close to another table which is not a big issue unless you order the love salad which we did and the other table is not a fan of garlic which they weren’t lol! All in all a great experience and hope to visit again.

Andiamo is a beautiful restaurant in Mystic, CT. It was our first time visiting. A recommendation from our uncle who loves their food. Our waitress was very kind and friendly. She gave us good recommendations and her personal input on each items we picked. She made sure to check on us every 5-10 minutes. Over all customer service was exceptional. We started with the Arancini & Garlic Cheese Bread with the marinara dipping sauce. The Arancini was delicious as for the marinara sauce it was very bland we had to add salt and chili flakes. Otherwise our main entree was their famous Chicken Parmesan Served With Spaghetti Marinara & Chicken Parmesan Served With Penne for my husband. We loved it — very tasty!!

Quality Italian cuisine. The house side salad was full of flavor. I had the chicken parm entree as well which was excellent. Second time update. Still a great house salad. I had their pork chop and it was a great dish. Definitely satisfied my protein portion need

I don’t give 5 stars often. But Andiamo beats any other Italian restaurant in nyc. The chicken piccata I ordered was a perfect blend of lemon and creaminess. I was shocked to actually get Italian food with good portion and actually seasoned and tastes good. The calamari was delicious as well. The ambiance, decorations, and music all went together well. All in all I’m glad I went with this Italian restaurant versus the other ones in Mystic. If you’re in Mystic please come visit Andiamo! 💯 (The chicken picatta photo came out blurry)

Absolutely delicious food. You receive table bread and butter. The garlic cheese bread and the pepperoni pizza were amazing. The pizza crust was thin and flavorful. Our waitress was awesome. They have a good drink and wine selection. The sodas are Coke products. One of the best Italian restaurants I've eaten at. 🤌

I believe the early reviews are a bit deceiving... Our waiter Josh was polite, attentive and answered all our questions. About the experience… all I can say is WOW!!! Melt in your mouth homemade flavors in a fun relaxed atmosphere! Meatballs arrived at the perfect temperature and tasted delicious, and my shrimp scampi was the best I have ever had!! The shrimp were even de-tailed which really made the meal more enjoyable. Bravo!! Wed will be back!!

I can not even begin to describe the experience here but I will try. Let's start by this was a happy chance find as my family and I were attempting to go to the mystic diner as we were traveling from rhode island back to our home of New Jersey. The diner was actually closed but this lovely restaurant is located right next door. The staff was friendly and greeted with smiles from all. We were seated promptly in the cutest booth. Our server was nick who besides the food , made our evening with going above and beyond with attention and just general friendly banter, it was almost like we were all family. Our food came out in no time and my youngest even said that the food was so good it nearly brought a tear to his eye. So let me fast forward to when we were leaving we decided a new tradition will now be started to whenever we travel that way we will make sure to stop back at this restaurant every time.

We recently hosted a wedding eve dinner for our son's wedding at Andiamo in Mystic. We felt a little anxious about trying an Italian restaurant to host our family and the bride's Italian family, but the evening was a huge success! Nonna loved the food, and apparently, that's significant! Working with Maci prior to the event was a pleasure. She was extremely helpful and went overboard to explain things and ease my mind since I had never arranged a dinner like this. The event room held 30 people semi-intimately but very nicely. The candle-style wall sconces on the dark velvet brocade wallpaper were so cozy and rich. The food was absolutely delicious! I can't say for sure what the bread was, but it seemed like a very buttery, fluffy, moist focaccia loaf. It was amazing! Cod Piccata, Chicken Piccata and Rigatoni Bolognese were gobbled up quickly. The green beans were a little crispier than most guests wanted, but they seemed very fresh. And cannoli, along with cheesecake, topped off the meal very nicely. Service was friendly and hard-working. We received repeated comments on how much the guests loved the place and the food.

First time here no reservation they were able to seat us quickly service was top notch and food was excellent. I got the chicken parm and my wife the chicken Marsala both were done fantastic sauces were great and the apps just as good. Our waiter came by frequently refilling our drinks clearing our tables greats service all around thanks again

The chicken parm was delicious. The Hueys love salad is a must if you like garlic. If anyone remembers Hueys in New London, well the salad is exactly just like that. We were told they got the recipe from his grand daughter. Great service, good prices, definitely will be back. Make reservations because it fills up fast, even during the week. You will not be disappointed .

Hands down the BEST Italian restaurant that my husband and I have ever eaten at. I’m 71, he’s 69. We were both impressed with the service and quality of the food. He had the Veal Marsala and I had the Cod Piccata. Both were delicious. I never eat dessert but their Peanut Butter Lasagna was absolutely irresistible. So much for watching calories. I’d eat it again in a heartbeat. This is your must try restaurant in Mystic!!! In fact, it’s worth the drive from anywhere!!!

Would definitely suggest this incredible restaurant to anyone. Service 10+, atmosphere 10+, food 10+ drinks, 10+. My only issue is they've omitted the garlic salad. This is a salad I've had 10+ times and was extremely disappointed last Saturday when I ordered it and they changed the dressing to Caesar. The salad was still great but far from what it is supposed to be. Please dont get me wrong, this isn't a side salad, it's a full blown dinner. This incredible salad boasts cheese, meats, protein, and an incredible amount of garlic. When I asked the server about it, she kindly said people were complaining it was to "garlicy". If thats the case, dont order it! It was a staple at a past restaurant and Andiamo is putting it to its grave. Please Andiamo, bring it back!

A few of us from my salon team went out to lunch at Andiamo for the first time yesterday. The food was really good! Our waitress was super attentive, and knowledgeable about the ingredients- as one of us needed gluten free options. Can't wait to go back again!

The hostess was super nice. Let us know there would be a brief wait and we were so pleasantly surprised we got a table sooner than anticipated! We live far away but visited in August and our waitress remembered us! She was great last time and this time as well. Very attentive and anticipated our needs. I should have written down her name so she gets the recognition she deserves. She is young and blonde. The food is spectacular. We will always come here when we’re in the area.

Yummy! We stopped on the road. I ordered the gluten-free chicken marsala. It was the BEST marsala I have ever had. It was so delicious. My husband had the chicken parm hero. He was very impressed. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend it!

This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to in any city. Their Vodka sauce is a national treasure. I recommend getting the chicken/veal Parm "Bronx style" (with vodka sauce and banana peppers) and ask for whatever pasta shape you want. That way you get the best of all worlds. Be careful. If you go with someone who doesn't share plates, you will get dinner envy if they get the vodka sauce and you don't. Also, their calamari is absolutely perfect. The breading, the frying, the sauce. Perfect.

N

Calm, low lighting. The food came out quick. Originally I had the Ceasar salad but if you dont like anchovies. Instead I ordered pennie a la vodka with incrusted chicken Much better!

P
Patrick Troy

We split the calamari, a Caesar and built our own Italian Sausage and ricotta pizza. The calamari and Caesar were both very good. The flavor of the pizza was also excellent, but the crust was soft not crispy as a thin crust pizza should be. The carafe of Sangiovese was quite drinkable and a good value. We sat at the bar, which was a great space for bar diners. McKenzie was great!

Andiamo is a hidden gem in Mystic! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Andiamo is a must-visit when in Mystic. We’ll definitely be back!

I've been here for both lunch and dinner. For lunch I had pizza for dinner I had the minestrone soup and the dinner salad along with meatballs as an appetizer. I was apprehensive initially about this place because of the low ratings I saw. I don't think my experience was anywhere near what these folks have indicated. I found the service to be top-notch the atmosphere to be excellent and the food to be at least good. Probably not the best Italian I've had but I'll probably come back. The sauce had some flavor the salad was very tasty The pizza was well done and I enjoyed the toppings that they put on. I prefer my pizza sauce a little sweeter but this was still good. The minestrone soup was spot on and the salad was excellent with the dressing that they were using.

S
Sarah Shields

Had the burrata salad with beets and pistachio, which was delicious and enough to share with the table for all to have a little bit. I also got the pasta primavera, which had a good pesto flavor but I didn't care for the type of mushrooms they used. My drink was also delicious, though I can't remember what it was called!

Seated at the bar due to no reservation & 1.5 hrs wait for table. Bartender was excellent in every way. Had shrimp scampi & Ceasar salad, husband had sausage/broccoli rabe/pasta dish and polenta sticks. Everything was exceptional: scampi, pasta, polenta sticks. Bread was served warm and was very good. Bartender was attentive & friendly. Definitely recommend EXCEPT the Ceasar salad:, 1) asked for anchovies & there were NONE but that's OK, 2) salad was LIMP and without much flavor. Would not get that again!.

Service was slow Food was good besides the burnt toast I got with my mussels. Marinara sauce is good! Kids fried chicken cutlet and pasta was good and big portion for being a kids meal. My husband got the baked rigatoni and it was delicious ! Still a lot of meat left after he ate all the pasta! My shrimp scampi was delicious . Espresso martini was gross.

We had our Rehearsal dinner at Andiamo’s recently and were very pleased with the service and the staff. The food was fabulous but that all changed when the manager “Sonny” showed up. Arrogant , pompous gentleman acting like he was Mr Know it all ! The wedding party decided to have some drinks at the bar and after an hour or two he said no more drinks . The bar is closed for the wedding party that was quite & disciplined and not bothering anyone. He said he doesn’t care if he looses money at the bar . He was holding unnecessary grudge it seems. I always thought customer comes first. Very disappointed with this particular manager and I hope senior management looks at this review & matter and decipline him . As far as the food and staff very pleased.

My wife and I made a reservation here on January 16th. We were in search for our new favorite Italian restaurant. Unfortunately this was not it. While the interior in the restaurant was nice to look at, it was the food and experience that were not good. The hostess greeted us and brought us to our table. Unfortunately, we were seated at a table closest to the front door. My wife does not like to be cold, and every time the door opened we were getting a blast of cold air. So before the waitress even came by we asked to be reseated. It’s not like we came in off the street, we had a reservation after all. But we were denied, which was frustrating because we saw a few empty booths far from the front door. The restaurant had sat a couple of parties of two, so I feel like they could have moved us. Those booths sat empty the whole time we were there. Our waitress was fine, this is not on her. Now the food. I am no Italian food expert, but I know how dishes should look and taste. My wife got the Cod Piccata. The fish and lentils were under spiced and there were more lentils than fish. She rated it just okay. But the real travesty was the Cioppino. This was a $36.00 dish! To be fair, the menu did list the exact ingredients, so I was already prepared to get Andiamo’s version of this classic Italian dish. What I was not prepared for was utter cheapness of the food. Four tailless shrimp, 5 mussels (the cheapest shellfish you can buy) 2 scallops and a portion of cod. Plus a single piece of small seasoned bread. The quarter cup of red liquid in the bottom of the bowl was also disappointing. This is supposed to be a grand seafood soup. I posted a picture of what Cioppino should look like for reference. We will not be returning based on the food and their unwillingness to make their customers comfortable and satisfied.

Was very excited to try this being Italian! I started with the Vanilla Orangellico (house made cocktail), was over powered with the 100% proof vodka. For my meal, I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with Spaghetti. This is my usual go to dish when I order at an Italian restaurant. I was expecting a big portion based on some of the reviews from a a local page. The dinner portion was small for the $27 price. It was crispy, but so thin and when I cut in to it, it was pink along the inside. I brought it to the attention of our very sweet waitress and she informed me that they make their Chicken Parmigiana with chicken thighs. I said to her that is deceiving because it doesn’t state that on the menu. It is not the traditional chicken used for parmigiana. Otherwise, I would have ordered something different. I then asked if they could sub the chicken for meatballs instead. I thought I couldn’t go wrong because I also read they were delicious. Unfortunately, I was not a fan. My friend ordered the spaghetti and meatball lunch portion and she said it was ok. I have heard such good reviews and was very disappointed. It could have been an off day. I may try a pizza and another entree to go the next time. I believe in second chances. Restaurant had large bar when you first walk in, some high top tables along the wall that separates the other two dining areas. Interior was roomy and beautifully decorated. Side note: my meal was comped. Was not expecting it to be, nice gesture from the restaurant. Staff and manager were friendly and professional.

Such a terrible experience. I specifically told the server I have an issue where I become extremely ill if I eat red meat, so I requested a dish without the meatballs, and without meat sauce, so just regular tomato sauce, and no sausage to be safe. He encouraged me to get a baked ziti instead... pasta, plain sauce, and cheese. Zero meat. That would have been perfect. So I got my dish, took a bite, and guess what, my first bite had meat sauce. I called the server over to let him know. At this point, I was already feeling the rumbles in my stomach due to a severe issue I warned the server about. He proceeded to switch the dishes and said a manager was going to come speak to me. At this point, I took a few bites and requested my food to go because I was feeling so terrible. My friend and I ordered our desserts to go. A manager NEVER came to speak with me. My friend and I were baffled. I was sick all evening. Not one other place I went to this entire weekend made me feel even remotely ill, but this one was terrible. They basically poisoned me when I told them I have a severe health issue. Had I known they weren't careful, I would have never went here. Be weary of this restaurant. Oh and the cannoli we got to go were bad too. I am doubting if this place even has authentic Italian owners or workers. I told this server when he greeted us that I come from the restaurant industry, but maybe he didn't believe me. My family has owned Italian restaurants my entire life, and I review just about every restaurant I go to. Just after this review, I will be giving a restaurant I went to in Reno a 5 star review. Complete opposite experience of this place! Would have felt different maybe if manager even came out to apologize, but I was literally sick. Had to leave the restaurant so I wouldn't be sick in front of other patrons.

First time visit. Party of 8. We were greeted at the door, other half of our party was trying to find parking. When the greeter heard that he said “When the rest of your party comes in your table is over there and you can go seat yourself “ He pointed out into the dining area and walked away. I can’t speak for the others in our party but my meal was horrible. I took maybe 3 bites and had to stop. Looking around our table, nobody really enjoyed there meals. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. How can you go wrong with that? The spaghetti was hard. Not “aldenti” but very undercooked. The meatballs were super soft and mushy. I cut them in half and one actually looked raw in the middle. It was gross. My spaghetti o’s as a kid were better than this. If you want a beer, there is not much of selection. Dry bread. Everyone in our party asked for take home boxes, the boxes are aluminum so you can’t just put it in the microwave to reheat at home. Dessert, no thanks. Just the check. Over $300. and nobody ate their meal. Not even the love salads. They were poor knockoffs of the real thing. Will never go back to this tourist trap again.
