Opinions de Kung Fu Tea Stony Brook
Convenient location for SBU students right across from the train station. The shop is small and cute. Very typical bubble tea place with consistent quality.
So very good, I would go every day if I could. Right now you wait outside and order through a little window. There is always a group of people waiting but I don’t care I’ll wait, I like to hear what they order to get ideas for my next favorite drink. My favorite right now? Mango Slushy with bubbles and Blue Island drink with popping bubbles. They have milk teas with many creative and traditional choices. - check out the app to earn free drinks and buy cool merch.
Their milk tea is literally the best in the area, the bubble is tasty, I ordered Oreo wow today and my friend ordered classic bubble tea, both delicious. The staff is very friendly and nice

Nice spot
This is the best bubble tea on Long Island! Perfect every time, amazing staff 💜
店长姐姐人很好!
The taste and service are soooooo great. They are so thoughtful for packing when you want to takeout.
Really good even tho there had been a shortage of pearls the drinks still tasted great.
Great tea, great price. Small shop but excellent flavor!
For all of the bubble tea places around stony Brook. I enjoyed this place.
So good especially thier mango slush with boba yum
Amazing place, the people who work there are so friendly and nice. Would recommend to a friend 10/10
Everything serves there is worth a traveling from my dorm. I like this tea shop.
Wide variety of tea with great service and atmosphere.
Really good Bubble Tea! Clean and safe with the Covid-19 situation
They also have slushies and there so goood
Never been here. Google kept bugging me with notifications to review because I frequently pass by .
everyone should try milk green tea add oreo and milk cap
Super cute. And the bubble tea is 10/10
Small little shop with tasty bubble tea.
Always great drinks.
Quick, easy, and super delicious!
Good tea
The best in Long Island
Milk green tea add milk cap and oreo with 50% sugar, an awesome taste that you would love to have!! Also dont forget the slush, you wont want to miss their MANGO SNOW and TARO slush❤❤❤❤❤✨
This is the cutest little shop I have ever seen. The tea is delicious and made to order. Such a fun spot.
Customer service was great. Drinks tasted amazing. Very quiet store. First time visitor and i will definitely be back!
Great bubble tea. I've liked every flavor I've tried so far. Will be going back to keepnworking through the menu.
Who doesn't love bubble tea on a hot day? Yummy dessert or snack spot and sooo many options!
Kung fu tea the tried and true brand finally is on Long Island near SBU. If you need your fix this is the place !
The boba tea here is absolutely amazing, especially the Oreo Boba Tea you gotta try it.
One of my favorite bubble tea places and right next to SBU! I’ll be coming often!
My tea was AMAZING! JUST FREAKING PERFECT. if you're questioning going, just do it. You won't be disappointed.
Quick and friendly service. Great selection of beverages. Wish they would put one in Huntington though.
Delicious tea, quaint and small shop but quick service. Definitely need to go back for more.
Kung fu probably serves the best Boba tea you can find on Long Island. The stonybrook location is really small and is not a great location to dine in.
Im so happy that theres a kung fu tea out here. Their boba is always on point. Its a tiny shack right next to 711. Their honey milk tea is my favorite. They take card too but theres a small card fee included
Best bubble tea ive ever had !! The booba is so tasty. The service is a little slow and they don’t show up on the app which is disappointing.
Superb place to get slightly cheaper (or pricier) boba tea, their milk tea is fantastic. Very convenient for mainly West and Transit SBU students.
Love this Kung Fu tea, it's very convenient and so welcoming. The staff is absolutely amazing! I've been coming here for years, and have never been disappointed! Thank you so much for always providing an amazing experience and amazing taro !
This is a new place to drink Kung Fu Tea. You don't need to spend one hour on the way to Flushing. I strongly recommend Taro slush. This drink is a mix of taro syrup, non-dairy milk powder and ice. Creamy and Sweet; it's like you are drinking ice cream! I also think Red bean wow milk is great choice. This drink is a mix of brown sugar and whole milk. They use home-made bubbles mixed with a variety of toppings and lactose free milk. I usually add a milk cap on it which is my favorite drink.
My daughter really enjoys the Boba tea and asks to go here frequently. It's not my thing, but the service is polite and the prices seem reasonable.
My kids and I love kung fu tea. We go there at least twice a week. Their taro milk tea is especially heavenly. Gong cha and other bubble tea places taste like toilet water. The honeydew milk tea is amazing also
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! And yes, I was yelling because I want everyone to know! My drink was awesome! I got a cocomut tea with mango bubbles and it was great!! Can't wait to try other combinations. If they're as good as the one I had today I'm in for a good time. A kid in front of me got a strawberry milk tea, that looked nice maybe I'll get that. Stop by if you're ever in Stony Brook!

Very small spot with delicious Bubble tea. We love this chain and were happy with the quality of the drinks. Service was on the slow side.

Their oreo wow boba tea is amazing!
Fruit teas are good. Little over priced compared to other locations.
Great tea bad customer service
Odd place but good
Good quick Boba
i like this place a lot, the boba tea is delicious 😍😍 i just wish they had more service and more people it took a little long.
The bubble tea is good and the variety is great
Good drinks. But always a wait.
Coffee needs to be stronger is my only complaint, way too much milk but otherwise tasty Boba .
All the drinks are great and enjoyable, only four stars because the staff aren't too friendly.
First time had the caco milk cap tea. It was to die for😍. The service was quick and amazing. They have so many flavors that I can't wait to taste them all.
Place is always busy. Parking is tight. My husband and kids love the Taro slush while I always go for lychee green tea. Big selection of drinks.
I love it I live very close to there and I go there whenever I want a good tasty drink and the workers there are usually very calm and nice I would definitely going there if your ever craving a good boba

Place seemed very popular, the was a line to wait. The drink was okay but didn't like the bubbles as they were slimy. The menu wasn't very explanatory so I didn't really know what to order. Research later said popping bubbles were better, but I have no plans of returning. I don't like tea as a rule but a friend wanted to go, and I had to say it was the best tea drink I ever had.

Pretty good bubble tea, wish they had a better selection and different toppings
The service was mediocre here, and the drink was ok, not great
Service isnt great but their milk teas are good. :) Its a really small building and the parking situation is weird lol.
I would give 5 stars but I have been 4 times in 2 weeks and 3 out of the 4 times they were out of bubbles. How are you and bubble tea place and never have bubbles?
Nice taste and great place, but the only thing that disoppoints is they won't accept their own app offers
It's fun to have this staple of Asian street food culture nearby, and the drinks aren't 'bad', but for such a tiny place, one would imagine getting the orders right more often - now they're averaging about 30%. Also, this drink stand does not accept call-ahead orders... that policy just seems illogical. Some of the upsides to this 'tea' place include: a wide variety of drink flavors, the ability to customize sugar and ice content, and its proximity to the Stony Brook LIRR station.
It's nice that there's a permanent bubble tea place here now other the Cha Time truck at Stony Brook University. However they don't participate in any of the Kung Fu Tea app specials despite having them on display at the cashier machine. Prices are pricey as expected from any Kung Fu Tea place as well.
It's a small and cozy store but the prices are insanely expensive even in comparison to the prices in the city (Manhattan). It's $6.80 for a large and popcorn chicken is $6 while in the city you can get it for $5.75 and $3-4 respectively. I usually ask for 30% sugar but even so, the drink is too sweet. I really enjoy boba but I wish it weren't so expensive here and that it wasn't drowned with sugar. The staff does their job but isn't particularly friendly. I get it once in awhile if I crave it, otherwise I don't think it justifies the price at all.

I used to get an expresso drink here and then out of no where the guy says he cant make it anymore because the machine broke. It has been over 2 weeks now and he still saying the machine is broke. There are at least 5 drinks on the menu he wont make because the machine is broke. How can you not have bubble tea at a place that only sells bubble tea!!
This location in particular does not know how to make tea.....I have been to Many locations but with this one it seemed like I was just drinking milk with some sugar. Will not be going back extremely disappointed 😞
So overhyped it's not even funny. It's in the back of one of the Chinese restaurants on the opposite side of Stony Brook University. Parked my car only to be greeted by a line of people. There's no seating area, and I recommend you try ordering in advance because I had to wait 18 minutes to order. They might be understaffed because I could've sworn it was one person doing everything i.e, taking orders, preparing, restocking supplies, etc. I had to approach directly into the window so the server was aware I haven't ordered yet. She apologized for the wait and handled the order professionally. There's just a fence you stand on and wait your turn, the server communicates through a microphone. In terms of taste, I've had better bubble tea in the Wang Center. Not worth the price or the distance traveled (I drove 25 min to this place) in my opinion, but that's just me. Sometimes I feel like it's a lab back there because of how poorly lit the facility is. All I saw was cartons of liquids, place looked congested. The packaging of the bubble tea is pretty cute and neat which is nice. Plenty of bubbles in your drink that's for sure.
Bubbles are good, but that's it. They consistently get my order wrong (swap herbal jelly for the bubbles) and I can't notice until I'm far away since I don't drink it at the location. Their new Thai flavor is weak. Overall, poor value. Bambu is better.
The barbie fizzy pink lemonade tasted so bad get taro slush instead

Beware! Check your receipts when paying with Credit Card/Apple Pay. Made purchase on 6/5/2024 at this location for medium Thai iced tea with bubbles. **Including tax the item was $6.xx. This total was also verbalized by the female sole employee at the location and visible on the receipt (again, inclusive of tax). There are NO signs for additional surcharges/fees for using credit card. Checked charges on credit card and noticed the overcharge $7.13 ***Shady payment practices--- double check your credit card statements before leaving the store*** Also note: No bathrooms for customers at this location. Otherwise, food/drinks are okay.

Went there a few times and more than once I noticed they charge for things you did not ask.
next time say the place is closed on google because I drove 30 min out of my way for me just to go back
80% of the cup was filled with ice when I specifically asked for less ice
Always run out of bubbles way before closing
Wasn't open sign on door wasn't helpful lol
They not even open the door
I ordered Oreo Wow and it had no oreo in it lol. It is the second time I ordered oreo wow and it was totally different than what I had before. Not going to come anymore. Do not recommend anyone to come. Horrible store.
Prices are higher than any other chain store, even the ones in Manhattan. Doesn’t participate with the Kung fu app.
Worse Kung Fu Tea I’ve ever been to. Staff is extremely rude and don’t know what’s happening half the time. And the place is sticky and dirty a lot of the time. Had a horrible experience there and don’t think I will ever go back
Not the first time here but the guy working did a horrible job. My husband and I drove 40min to get this bubble tea and then we waited about 25min to get it. We took a few sips and threw it out. It tasted like just water with lots of honey or sugar (and we got it 50% sweet, it was at least 120% sweet). I also recieved grape instead of grapefruit. I am a black belt in KF tea app which means I drink a lot of it, this is by far the worst tea I have had here. Last summer, the owner lady was running it and it was great every single time, I came at least twice a week. Now, very dissapointed and frustrated.
If I could I would give them negative stars. I was discriminated- humiliated for I am not sure what. It is very upsetting. I called before I came and the person on the phone tells me they are not taking phone orders. And that was alright with me.when I arrived there were almost 8-10 people waiting for their Order and when I placed the order for 3 milk teas and one Oreo, all with bubbles. The guy taking the orders tells me that they are out of bubbles and I have to wait 15 minutes. I did not place the order as I didn’t want to wait but my daughter had been asking for bubble tea for a few days and so I went back 5 minutes later Regardless of the wait. When I arrived the second time there were 7 people ahead of me placing orders and they all asked for bubbles. So I was kind of relieved that they had bubbles. When my turn came the guy goes we have no more bubbles and I have to wait 30 minutes. When I told them that they served a lot of people ahead of me they told me they found some bubbles and ran out to make me any drink for me. Then a woman came up to the window and explains that they found bubbles to make drinks for other but ran out in time for me. I would like to hear from the owner. Is there a hidden agenda behind not serving me? This is sad and pathetic..
