We recently had a surprise party for my daughter over here. Sonya was great very accommodating we reserved a room,ordered food specified when to have appetizers out and then pizzas after the Birthday girl arrived. I was allowed to do a little decorating before reserved time, that was cool. We had pizzas,salads,wings,breadsticks,sodas and beer 50+ people showed up, we had a great time and everyone loved the food. We had to order more pizzas and wings. Thanks Straw Hat!!

This Straw Hat always makes the best pizza. The toppings are fresh and have full coverage all across the pie. Before covid this was our go to pizza place. The salad bar was always stocked with a good variety of veggies and dressings. Looking forward to being able to dine in again.

Straw hat Pizza is what it is. And I go there for lunch after I do my morning errands every Wednesday. I enjoy the pizza and the person who helps me is a very nice good person. So I keep coming back.

Called in and ordered a large pizza with a 50% off code. It was ready to go in 20 minutes. I still had over 30 min left on the coupon code timer. Totally made my day. The pizza was hot and freshly made.

Their wings and pizzas are amazing. Great quality meats and vegetables and staff is super friendly. They have wine and beer! Plus lots of TVs and video games for kids. Salad bar is amazing. Ask about wine Wednesdays and come to see all the UFC fights and sports action!

This place has the best pizza and the b3st energy. The staff are so friendly. This is my new favorite pizza joint.

If you’re into sports it’s the place to be! Went to watch the UFC match and had an amazing pizza! Please the staff was nice. If the game or match is popular get there early to find parking.

You can tell they actually care about the food they’re putting out. The staff? Super friendly and welcoming. You walk in and feel like they’re genuinely happy to serve you. And the owner? Cool as hell. Respectful, personable, and you can tell he puts pride into his business. Even the bathroom was clean. That right there says a lot. They’re taking care of their customers and their space. So honestly, I don’t get the 4.2 rating. Makes no sense. This spot deserves way more recognition. People sleeping on it. I’d give it a 5.0 without hesitation. Real ones know.

I manage a property in the area and we always use Straw Hat Pizza for our resident events. They offer delicious king size pizzas that are perfect for large events. Sonia is the Store Manager and/or Owner & she is very personable and always ensures we get the best service each time. Straw Hat Pizza will always be our first pick in the area! On a long Friday evening drive after work I needed to get some food and I am so glad that I chose this place! Coming from Sacramento I wanted to get some pizza and snacks to take out. The host was incredibly nice and there was an enclosed room where folks were having a party. With many tv screen there back area had an area for kids and arcade that did not take away from watching the game. I ordered potatoes wedges, lemon garlic chicken wings and Cajun wings. Alongside that a king size garlicky chicken and my family was floored when I took it to them in San Mateo! The beer selection was incredible and house local Sacramento crafts brew which are tried true and tested by myself; I guzzled a fresh new glory ipa on tap while I waited and in no time before finishing the beer my food was ready. Incredible part: the pizza was better and cheaper than anything majorly expensive like round table with better sauces used, fresh garlic and savory taste that blew any pizza joint out of the water! The chicken wings were perfect done, )no freezer burn taste like other places) freshly made and the lemon garlic was aroma carried such a gourmet scent that it was crazy that the taste was mind boggling! They have used the freshest ingredients and even the next day heated up the pizza wings and everything was still like fresh! This is no joke; this place is gourmet to the max just in a straw hat sign and I cannot believe it (.) Wish we in Sacramento had such a reasonably priced pizza that tasted so good. These owners really love what they do and you could see from the crowd and food, events and love they put into it to care for all ages and customers. Will be back again and again and again!!!

Dark and dungee atmosphere but food is great just need to improve on appearance.Im probably getting use to all the newer looking straw hats popping up in different cities but you guys are still doing a great job on food quality. Food is better than a lot of new straw hats that just opened so be proud of that and keep up the good work

Lots of t.v monitors for the fight event was great.

First time i ordered pasta, it was excellent!! Extra cheese on top that i didn't pay for! I'm trying that again just to see. Tortellini Alfredo minus the chicken(thanks for asking!) They do need a better printer for the receipts, but the food: awesome. Garlic bread terrific! Should give 5 stars but i cant read the receipt haha.

It was very clean and had a lot of seating. Had 8 televisions to catch your favorite sports team. The pizza was very good and the wings was good as well. Has a room that you can reserve and seats about 40 people. Lots of parking and out of the way of all the traffic.

2nd time. They have a small but decent salad bar, all you can eat. Nice helpful staff. Had that, a small pizza and a LOT of TV screens so we watched the Sharks lose to the Canucks. Spacious. They have a separate party room where a bunch were watching the Packers game.

Great place for dinner with family, hanging out with big groups, having a party. They have video games to keep kids busy and a lot of tvs to watch whatever game NBA, NFL, MLB or NHL is playing. Pizza is good and we love that the salad bar is fresh, clean and has freshly chopped lettuce. Not bagged stuff.

I ordered a 12 piece garlic wings. After waiting over 30 minutes, my wings arrived without sauce. I told the staff, and they then gave me the sauce to dip my wings in. The sauce was concentrated and just not very good. I then told a waiter, and he said they would prepare them the right way. I chose not to wait any longer. This is a good place to watch sports, I just wouldn't order food, especially if it is busy.

I don’t understand why this place has a high star rating. It’s some of the worst pizza I’ve ever had. The dough was severely undercooked so were the toppings. The flavors are extremely bland, I couldn’t eat more than two bites. Do not recommend at all.

Food was okay but poorly managed. I went there today with my son. It took over 30 mins to get the pizza. Asked and the explanation was there’s a party going on. Come on, if you didn’t have the capacity to serve other customers for the party, you should just close the door to make it exclusive to the party. Front desk waiter also seemed to be inexperienced. Couldn’t understand what I said and had to ask her boss for everything. I asked for one order of chicken wings and she put two. Won’t come again.

CAUTION: I ordered from here on 8/6. I never have a problem with my pizzas before. I was surprised when it was delivered my boxes weren't sealed like usual. 30 min later I got major food poisoning 😫. I was sick 🤮 ALL day!! I should have know when my food arrived cold not to eat it!! I even microwaved it. I am not sure how long it was sitting out for or where. Hopefully when/if they read this I can be refunded my $40+ bucks!!

Hate to hate on this one but really disappointed in the Hat. As have been going there for 35+ years. I called in a phone order only to get the wrong order. Which was fine until the cashier proceeded to dispute the order given. I don't know where real customer service/courtesy went? To top it all off. We ordered cheese sticks which got cold waiting for our order to be remade. Which they didn't make fresh, just reheated. Love the "pizza"! Always have but the quality of customer service was not equal to the meal!

First time eating here! Don’t order tortellini lol I didn’t eat even half of it and threw it. The taste is bad and the texture is bad it’s a waste of money. It took like 30 mins to the order to come even if it’s not busy at that time.

We came after a game and kid was hungry so we came here thinking it would be fast. Once we placed our order, we waited, and waited, and waited. After over an hour after placing our order, our food did not come yet. So after 20 minuets we finally got our food. And yet after 1 hour and 20 minuets, our pizza was undercooked, dough was slightly raw and missing toppings.

We ordered two pizzas last night. One, a pepperoni pizza, was for our 8 year old. They got her pizza wrong and gave us a pizza with olives on it. We love olives, but our 8 year old doesn’t. Anyway, for the price, they really should be checking that orders are correct.

This place need some renovation. The place has old furniture and ambience is not at all good. I got hair in my food. Looks very unhygienic. Place has potential to serve good. Needs to improve.

Asked the staff if we could get the 4 beers with our pizzas we literally just bought and they refused. They even got a manager who also refused. Beware potential visitors, here the customer comes last. Response to owners response : yeah, you offered us a single pint for $1 total, not $1 off… rather than 4 $1 pints for the 4 pizzas we ordered... your response is misleading because the Michelob $1 pint deal is clearly separate from happy hour as shown in the picture, so happy hour being over is irrelevant, and you had the ability to just charge us $1 for each beer. It just felt ridiculous that you would offer to give us 1 pint for the same deal but wouldn’t do 4, meaning you were capable of comping us the price regardless of the ticket being closed, but refused solely for a meager profit. At that point it’s more insulting than just refusing to honor the deal entirely. We ordered the pizzas and within 2 minutes of paying noticed the sign and asked for the deal. It’s not good practice to nickel and dime people like that, enjoy the $10 you made on those beers, we’re not coming back…

Why close salad then..... ??? I am so upset. Wanted to try this place for awhile and now i disappointed.
