First things first, it may seem a little expensive, but I think the food is worth the price. My partner and I took food to go, but the next time we visit LA, we are definitely dining in. The place is so cozy and beautiful. We tried three pies (peach cream, blueberry, and raspberry mud pie), and they were so delicious. 😋 We also tried their cheese pizza, english muffin, and Buffalo cauliflower, and they were also good. The winner, however, for us was their coffee. It was very smooth and one of the best coffees I have ever had. Their weekend menu is a little different, and I am really looking forward to tasting some dishes from that someday. Keep making compassionate choices, and let's continue working to leave a kinder and greener world for future generations.

I recently visited SunCafe Organic in Los Angeles for breakfast and ordered the French toast with cinnamon apples. The dish was delightful! The French toast was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside—and the cinnamon apples added a warm, comforting touch. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into the food here, and the quality was top-notch. I arrived right when the cafe opened on a Saturday morning and was the only customer during the first hour. While this made for a quiet and peaceful experience, I was surprised that the service wasn’t more attentive given how slow it was. The server never checked on me after I received my food, which was a bit disappointing. A quick check-in to see if I needed anything would have elevated the experience. That said, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the menu offers a wide variety of creative, organic options. I’d definitely recommend this spot for anyone seeking delicious plant-based dishes. With just a little improvement in service, this place could easily be a five-star experience!

I went late at night and there was ample parking in their lot. It has some of the best ambiance with a cozy fire pit outside and comfortable seating inside. The service was friendly and quick. We got a lentil loaf, nachos and cookie dough cheesecake. Despite that I've always loved their nachos, I actually liked the lentil loaf the best! It has a sweet sauce on top and a hearty texture. I love the creaminess and decadence of the dessert and how it still feels healthy!

Ive been a regular at this wholesome cafe since my first time coming. Everything that I've had the opportunity to try from their menu has been outstanding. Everything tastes fresh, prepared very nicely, and not to mention flavorful, and my favorite part about the food is that it’s rather health conscious in comparison to other “vegan” restaurants. I stand behind this restaurant 1000%!

Really good food! This place has a good variety of raw and cooked food (all vegan) and everything I've had here has been tasty! I've had the mac and cheese, double stuffed quesadilla, baked lasagna, omelette, buffalo cauliflower, and the mint shamrock shake (with actual mint and not just extract!). Staff is friendly as well. High quality veggies and fruit. Definitely recommend!!

The food is always great here, my only regret is not switching tables to avoid the crass drunk friend of the owner excessively loud yell "talking" the entire time which basically distracted me from the true dining experience that I know Sun Cafe is. I only have myself to blame, but so grateful this place still exists and provides a humane dining experience. The raspberry lemon cupcake for my birthday was divine!!

The vegan options here are delicious (and I don’t even love vegan food)! The Margherita Pizza is super tasty. I thought I would hate the Buffalo Cauliflower (pictured here) but it was very delicious… kind of tasted like chicken nuggets. The Burrito Bowl was exactly what I expected. The booth was comfortable and intimate… great spot during day or night. The servers are knowledgeable but the website has photos + great descriptions of all the meals, too.

Vegan lasagna was extremely hot, very fat and quite liquid - I’ve left 1/3 of the dish as it was just sauce. My non-vegan partner was upset. I’ve asked for piece of bread to put this sauce on top and got a think slice of back side ‘cabbata’ - tasted glutenfree (I’m not) full soaked in vegan butter … meh. Vegan cakes are great and the fire place outdoor seating. Proper food is a no. Better go to Asian place.

Weirdly inconsistent in their food portions. The first time we visited the sandwich was three or four times bigger. Not sure why they thought it was okay to send the sandwich out like this. That being said, tasty food and drinks. Nice staff. Clean restaurant and bathroom. Nice presentation. Overall a good experience, and yes I do recommend. It's a cute restaurant with lots of vegan options. You'll be glad you went.

We went over the weekend and were surprised to learn they have added a separate Vegetarian menu. The waitress said they did it about 6 months ago. While that was surprising since we knew Suncafe to be an all plant based restaurant, the most alarming part was they included fish on their Vegetarian option menu! In what Universe is offering fish, vegetarian?? Please correct this error immediately. It's bad enough that some sectors of the public are confused about what is Vegetarian and what isn't, but, you should know better. I am happy to go back and update my review once that correction is made.

food was great, loved the variety. our server was sweet and patient with all of our questions. however, i could not get over the BLARING music that they were playing. i felt like i had to yell just to talk to my friend. i asked our server if they could turn it down a bit, poor thing said they don’t even have the ability to. whoever is running this place please please please consider turning the music down. love the food but could barely relax

The atmosphere is lovely but the service was absolutely abysmal. I was in a larger party and we had long waits for just about anything. Meanwhile there was another large party on the opposite end of us that came after us and they were always accommodated which made little sense. The food was fine for happy hour but the prices after happy hour was way overpriced. Probably won't return.
