Busy place that’s very efficient and makes really nice coffee. I recommend this place especially if you want to try something different. Pictured is the Evil Eye coffee and the Zatar Danish both very good.

Glad this place is getting the hype. It’s definitely out of the way but always good experience and matcha here.

Very strong matcha felt like I drank and energy drink. Good for those who didnt sleep the night before but could be too much for someone who is sensitive to caffeine

Very cute and small shop hidden in a semi big street. Youngster oriented but unique! Their drinks have tons of speciality options but they also serve the classic coffee options like espresso, americano, etc. I ordered a yala latte for my first timer here and it did not disappoint. It was good hot but I think it’s refreshing in cold option too. They also do over sand coffee like the traditional Turkish coffee style that might interest some peeps. Reminded me of a shop in Sarasota FL who serves traditional Turkish coffee. Overall 10/10 satisfied with this visit. Will come again!!

Such a cute lil place! Thoughtful, probably not comfy for working but lovely for a cafecito date! And there are outlets by most of the seats. Was very excited to try traditional Turkish sand coffee. The Yala Lattes were really good (we got with oat milk) and the cookie was delicious too. The Evil Eye is a sand coffee with cardamom cream and that was cool to try, but very strong. Will def be back

I love the coffee here. The Yala latte and the crème brûlée coffee are my favourites. I’m staying with my friend on holiday and I have been coming to this cafe everyday because I love it that much! It has a nice atmosphere and the coffee is good.

safe to say, the fig matcha is my new favorite! it’s smooth, strong, and just the right amount of sweetness.

My husband and I enjoyed our experience here: the desert-hue tones, creative minimalist design, curated items to buy---and the uniquely crafted coffee drinks! With the high prices for coffee these days, there are few cafés that actually serve coffees that are with the price---and Yalla Latte's coffees defintely are! Our only question: Ham on the menu, habibi, why?:)

Tried the YALA iced latte and it did not disappoint. Subtlety sweet with amazing Turkish coffee. Very small shop so it gets packed easily but our coffee was ready within 10 minutes easily. Wish there were more spots to sit. Parking can also be difficult

The shop itself had such a good energy and vibe. It was filled with people but not too packed, friends meeting up and people doing work. For a Thursday afternoon it was busy but not surprising that people flock here. It’s beautiful inside and out with tasteful decor and plenty of seating. The baristas were very nice and answered any questions I had. I ordered the Fig Vanilla Matcha with almond milk. It was delicious with a rich vibrant green color. It’s on the sweeter side, which I love, but I’d get it half sweet if sweet isn’t your vibe. Highly suggest mixing the drink thoroughly before sipping so that you get consistent sips. The matcha quality was very high, and very tasty. The drink took probably about 2-4 minutes to come out. Their merch is also very cute and I’ll probably buy a baseball cap next time I stop in. If you’re in the valley and looking for a delicious matcha, stop in for sure!

For being pretty new this place is booming already! I went in on a weekday around 10:30 am. I got the gig and vanilla matcha latte. I also got a spinach and feta pastry and a pistachio croissant. The matcha latte was deliciousssss. I got it with oat milk, which to my surprise was not an up charge so YAYYYYY. The matcha latte does come with bits of fig in it so you occasionally have to do some chewing but I didn’t mind. It also comes with a freeze dried fig on top which I thought was cute. The spinach and feta pastry was flaky and yummy, very onion forward. The pistachio croissant was also super good. The line was about 5 people but went quickly. There is metered parking in the front, but it is ventura blvd so it’s hit or miss. Not much table space so I wouldn’t do work here but it’s a good place to catch up with friends. I’ll definitely be back!

I no longer live in the area but always try to squeeze in a visit when I’m around. The evil eye coffee is my favorite, but everything is top notch. The team is lovely so happy to see them blow up on TikTok. Well deserved! 👏🏽

I got the fig matcha and spinach feta croissant (or danish I don’t remember)and I liked it so much I had to get another one! This is such a unique flavor compared to other cafes. The matcha was perfect not too bitter and the syrup had the perfect amount of sweetness! The spinach feta was super yummy too definitely a must,The ambience is really nice however it gets really busy and there isn’t much of a seating area unfortunately.

A very popular place on a Sunday morning. Line was quite long, but worth it. My favorite drink was the iced Matcha fig latte. Matcha was well done and fig addition is super unique! I equally loved their iced chai. I love it when places have freshly brewed chai. Perfect balance of spicy and sweet. We also had the yala latte, very latte. We also loved the cappuccino and the evil eye (super strong!).

This was our first time here off of a recommendation from a friend and we were definitely happy we tried it out. My wife and I both got the Yala Latte (hot and iced) and it was amazing. We're definitely coming back to try out more of the menu.

I’ve been thinking about that spinach and feta pastry every day since I had it, so this is your sign to order it. While I’ve had very good Turkish coffee before, I’ve never had sand-heated coffee, and that itself was worth a Saturday morning wait for me (which really wasn’t too bad, I mean it IS Studio City I’ve waited in a longer line for a mediocre latte and expiring pastry from Alfred’s). It was fun to watch the coffee be made, the atmosphere inside is very unique, and the service is really quick for the number of people ordering. Evil-Eye, pictured in this video, was absolutely divine, I can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu!

Cozy spot with a great vibe. The sand coffee is smooth, rich, and absolutely worth trying. Seating is a bit cramped, so it’s best to visit during quieter hours. The atmosphere makes it a pleasant place to relax.

Great new coffee spot. I work in a building down the street and finally decided to stop by. I tried the evil eye and the Yala Latte. Both were amazing! I also tried the spinach and feta puff and wow so yummy. This will be my new coffee spot! The place is so busy but worth it. So just make sure you have enough time and if you want to chill inside there may not be space available unless you get lucky. Not a deal breaker for me since I can walk over to my office. The employees are nice and helpful. I love the middle eastern vibe as well. Just know if you are looking for American/Italian style coffee this is not it. Still, I recommend everyone to try it out at least once.

Such a lovely place. No frills, just excellent middle eastern style specialty coffee and pastries. The first day I went I had an Iced Orange Blossom Oat Latte, a Spinach & Feta Puff, and an Everything Bagel Za'atar Cheese Danish. Everything was so amazing that I returned two days later for more. I planned to try the Bahrain, but they updated the seasonal menu and it was replaced with a Pumpkin Pistachio Milk Latte. As a fan of pumpkin spice season, I was pleasantly surprised, and I ordered it without hesitation. It too was amazing, and I really wish I wasn't only visiting LA for the weekend. Next time I take a trip to the area, I will absolutely visit Yala Coffee again.

Quite possibly, my favorite coffee shop in LA. Their Yala latte is so good. The coffee flavor is strong, but not overpowering as the cardamon cream balances it out with every sip. Not only is their coffee delicious, but their matcha is delicious as well. The fig and vanilla matcha latte is a must try if you like matcha. It’s sweet and tastes more of fig than vanilla, but neither overpower the matcha. The only downside is that the space itself can get a little crowded & there isn’t much seating available. I wouldn’t recommend this as a cafe to sit and work at.

K
Karen

Love the vibes here. The drinks are delishhh. Yala latte is bomb and so is the fig matcha latte (tip: add the house cream on top, you won't be disappointed;) Worth visiting and sitting outside & enjoying ventura Blvd! Line is long but goes by fast, I stood twice to order drinks lol! Not too much seating, but can still enjoy.

Look, the line is gonna be long so strap in. Popularity didn't do anything to the high quality at Yala which is so refreshing. Many times when A place explodes its business, things will start to go by the way side, but not Yala. Friendly staff, chill vibes, lovely pastries, and expert attention to detail in every cup of coffee. GET THE DONUTS

I’ve had my eye on this spot for a while and finally got to try it! I ordered: - Fig Vanilla Matcha Latte - Apricot Espresso Tonic - Evil Eye The space has such an aesthetic, unique vibe and the staff were friendly. The barista at the counter was super friendly and explained the sand coffee, which made the experience even better. It was the weekend, so there was a short line and limited seatings, but the wait wasn’t bad! We sat outside, which had a really cute seats. The Fig Vanilla Matcha Latte was a total standout! Probably one of the best matcha drinks I’ve had recently. I’m not a matcha expert, but this one had the perfect balance for me: not too bitter, not too sweet, and the vanilla blended in beautifully. I loved that I could taste the little bits of fig in the matcha and the apricot bits in the espresso tonic (Best part) For reference, my friend likes her matcha sweeter, so for her it leaned a little less sweet than she prefers. Parking was surprisingly easy for a weekend, with plenty of street spots nearby.I’ll definitely be back for the matcha and to try more of their drinks!

Loved it! The coffee was excellent (some of the best I’ve had, and my partner & I make note to try a new shops constantly), atmosphere was calming, the line moves quickly and the staff was welcoming. They know they’re busy, so they anticipate and prepare drinks accordingly so it doesn’t take too long. I noticed they use great quality products like Straus’ cream for their cardamom cream top. I’m surprised to be reading negative reviews… We loved it so much we’re considering coming back the day after having it, and we don’t live close. Thank you!

Beautiful cafe. Unique concept. Was in a rush, so I do wish they offered a batch/drip coffee; but that’s not part of their concept so fair enough! When I have a bit more time, will have to return with my wife and try the Yala Latte & Sand Coffee. Had to settle for the cold brew this time, which was pretty solid. Great addition to the burgeoning SFV craft coffee scene!

This place has been open for four months and is the new instagram-famous coffee darling of Studio City. Given the buzz, I was a little skeptical but this coffee spot is 100% worth the hype serving unique beverages and pastries that you can’t get elsewhere. Everything is flavored with Middle Eastern flare and they have a viewing window where you can watch them make their unique sand coffee where they brew espresso in small metal pitcher over, well, hot sand. The barista‘s are super nice and walked us through the menu when we got there. They work incredibly fast considering the long line and we got our pastries and drinks in less than 10 minutes. There are seating areas along the edges of the storefront, including bench and high top seating as well as some outdoor benches. There is Wi-Fi and plenty of people had their laptops out to do work, but the atmosphere is so bright, exciting and fun - it really lends itself to more of a social visit if you want to do it right. We got the Yala latte, with espresso, brown sugar and sweetened with a cardamom cream top and a coffee grounds. The cream top is what did it for me - iced, it comes in a lightly sweet cold micro foam that had a very airy/creamy texture. We got our pastries at the end of the day so they weren’t as crisp as I would’ve liked but the flavors were great and they will heat them up for you, which is nice. The candied pistachio croissant had a sweet topping with a crushed pistachio paste interior, and the everything bagel za’atar cheese danish was a play on savory and sweet with a very lightly sweetened cream cheese filling. One thing to note that might not be obvious if you came across the viral Instagram video is that not all of the lattes are made via the “sand coffee” method. Those are a special preparation and come in 4 ounce cups. I would still be very interested to try them as they looked very unique and it’s fun to watch them make your coffee which you can do right at the main bar! Overall, this is a coffee shop that blows past the Instagram buzz, and as well worth the visit. We will definitely be back.

Yala Coffee serves excellent specialty coffee, with the convenience of card payments only. However, all drinks are served in to-go cups, which was a bit disappointing as ceramic cups would elevate the experience. While you can hang out, the seating isn’t ideal for remote work, and the space can get quite loud. Great for a quick coffee stop!

Cute little spot with good coffee and a nice vibe. The cashier was friendly and the menu is small and simple, which makes ordering easy. Parking on weekends can be a real challenge, and with a line of about 10–12 people, the inside can feel a bit crowded. Overall, worth a visit if you don’t mind a little wait.

Visiting on weekend was doubtlessly a true patience (and prolly bit of luck) test. From the challenge to find parking, standing in the long line to place your order, until waiting for awhile before being able to sip your coffee. Not to mention the petite aesthetic venue was packed with people that you might barely find a space to stand, let alone sit. Like most first-timers here, I went for their Evil Eye as the sand coffee concept certainly triggered my curiosity. It's basically coffee heated with sand, topped with cardamom cream top with rim of sugar on the 4oz espresso cup. It might look tiny, but trust me it's surely a strong wakeup call. For me personally, first half of the cup tasted awesome. Super bold coffee balanced with the cream and sugar; feeling like enjoying deconstructed latte blended together as you took a sip. Despite being not a fan of cardamom, the cream was surprisingly delightful. That sugar rim being the sweetener was also brilliant idea IMO. However, remaining half of the cup turned challenging for me to finish as it became extra thick with 'grainy' coffee (IYKYK). Next visit might be a go for their Yala Latte!

I enjoyed my experience at Yala Coffee! I will start with saying that the customer service was great! The girl at the register was very friendly and answered all of our questions. The drinks were very tasty as well, we got the iced fig matcha, one regular and one with cream top. The fig flavor is very strong, and makes the drink sweeter than I expected but if you enjoy sweetness it is good. I enjoyed the matcha more with the cream top, it made the drink creamier and also cut back on the sweetness of the fig just a tad. I also had their spinach feta pastry and it was also delicious! Their cafe lobby is very small though, I would say it is better to grab a drink or bite to go because there is very limited seating. But overall this cafe is very yummy and the vibes were good, I would come back here again if in the area! 👍

This place has a nice concept and is aesthetically pleasing with a good overall atmosphere. I ordered a beautiful latticed pastry and an orange blossom latte. This place is still new so I assume there will be updates. That said, the orange blossom latte is good, but the flavor definitely could be bolder and the pastry needs to be heated to a higher temperature. With those few tweaks this place would be great!

This coffee shop has limited hours, so it’s not the easiest place to visit on weekdays. I went after my Saturday morning workout and found a line stretching outside the entrance. Parking is street-only, and if the metered spots are full, it can be a bit tricky to find a spot. The space is small, with seating for about 15 people at most. The entrance is narrow, and with the line forming outside, getting in and out can be a bit inconvenient. I tried the Yala Latte, which had a unique, infused aroma different from regular coffee. The cream topping also had a distinct flavor, adding to the experience. I enjoyed it, but to be honest, it was gone in about five sips!

Meh. At best, the danish was good. Ordered the matcha and a yala latte. I was disappointed that the Matcha was not sifted and whisked but rather in a container pre-made. Matcha settles at the bottom, and as i watched intently, she did not stir the pre made matcha. Bummer. It was a good 2 out of 10. The yala latte was watered down, and i mostly tasted milk. Id give it a 2 out of 5 Whoever is pulling the shots needs to adjust the machine to ensure the grind size is properly measured because the shot was WEAK. I feel the quality was compromised due to the rush. Idk but gotta do better. The decor was decent. Loved the rug lined bar but the motorcycle took up unnecessary space where an additional seating area could be. It would have been nice to see some art on the wall. The minimalistic decor is so played out in coffee shops at this point. As a designer, i certainly understood where they were going with this aesthetic but lets get some awesome woods in there! Will i be back, no. I drove from south Pas to walk almost a mile to find a parking spot. Terrible.

Where do I start? I eagerly waited months to try out this spot. The space is so tiny that it’s so easy to feel in the way just waiting for your drink. The customer service was nonexistent. I ordered a yala latte that lacked so much flavor and body. It tasted like watered down milk with a splash of espresso. Nothing is more disappointing than looking forward to something and it be a big let down with the prettiest bow on top of it.

I’m posting this review after coming to this coffee shop 5 times. The first two times I came here the staff were friendly and the drinks were pretty decent. It’s only after having two experiences that were identical that I decided to post this negative review, in hopes that the owners of this shop see this and make some changes. My order is an iced cortado with a cream top ($1.50 extra charge). The issue came when I had ordered this drink for the 3rd time and it was filled to the top of the cup, upon asking for a lid the staff gave me the lid and the drink lost about half of the cream top I just paid for due to how high they filled the small cup. The barista stared at me blankly as the contents of my drink spilled across the counter. Can i have a napkin to wipe this up? Sure, as she tossed me a musty wet rag. I left disappointed. The next time, expecting a different outcome I asked for a larger cup, not more drink, just a cup that wouldn’t lose the contents of my drink. They happily obliged. Fast forward to the next incident. I asked for a larger cup, explaining the previous incident: the cashier happily explained that she did not have the power to provide me with a larger cup, because the higher ups would “get mad”. The manager came by to explain that they have a policy on making no alterations or changes to signature drinks. I asked, is my order a signature drink? No, she blankly answered. don’t worry, we will handle it. The solution? Give me less than I ordered so it wouldn’t spill. After coming back in today, hoping I would get what I paid for, the cashier agreed to my larger cup request. The manager then secretly switched the bigger cup she picked up for a smaller one. This time? The cup half full. When I asked for a full drink, she argued she couldn’t do that. This is how it’s done here. From someone who is extremely familiar with coffee shop pricing, profit margins and operating costs. This seems like a hard stance to take. Undercut the expectations in order to save money (10 cents) on a $7+ coffee. I’d expect this from Starbucks, not an independent chain. Disappointing to say the least.

Parking is a real challenge here. There are only a few small side tables inside that are just big enough to sit on. The staff’s service is also quite unfriendly.

I have never experienced such terrible customer service at a coffee shop. Not to mention the lack of sanitation I couldn’t tell which was worse the employees attitude or lack of food safety knowledge. I’ve been here before when they just opened and atmosphere was amazing I believe husband and wife were running the joint but today I was served by a brat who grabbed the cup with her fingers on the inside of the cup then when I asked her to grab another one since she fingered my cup she threw it on the counter upside down. Also how do you have 4 employees and wait line is 10 minutes. Extremely disappointed and sorry for the owners cuz I know how happy and sweet they are. Will not be returning.

They have zero sugar free options for lattes. We asked for iced coffee with a splash of cream and they said no. Apparently they have to ration the cream for other drinks is what they said. Ridiculous. I also asked for my drink to be a large. Instead of advising me that the drink i ordered only comes in one size, they just made the small size. Also, where was the cardamom? Lacking for sure. Attitude from the worker when we asked for them to make kid friendly drink. Overrated bizzar coffee shop. I have the jazve at home. I can do this myself minus the terrible customer service. Very minimal seating. I wonder if the owner is middle eastern. They should hire people with middle eastern hospitality.

Very disappointed. Got the Yala latte and a 12oz ice latte. Worse than mid. The yala was somehow lukewarm? Cardamom being your base cream top option is very strange and it wasn’t good. How do you make sugar and cream taste bad? Now look I know all of these drinks are mostly milk that’s why I get a 12oz not 16oz I should at least taste some coffee but no I felt like a giant baby drinking a cup of milk. Waste of time and money. Also mid customer service and weird tiny interior.

My expectations were high about this coffee since it was crowded. The cashier was really nice but the lady that was giving away the coffee was very rude (poor costumer service from her part.) She gave me the wrong order because got confused with another costumer that had the same name and got mad at me for that reason. How can you get mad to the costumer because you have her the wrong order…..I felt a lot of tension between the cashier and that girl as well. Sadly I felt nothing but BAD vibes in that cute little coffee shop.

Hair in my drink which is extremely nasty because all the staff were men which makes me wonder when the hair made into their ingredients. On top of that, they weren’t even that busy on a monday afternoon and my drink still took like 10 minutes to come out. More emphasis on there being a hair in my drink though this was seriously disgusting and threw off my appetite for the entire day (For reference my hair is bleach blonde so theres no way this could’ve belonged to me.)

Absolutely the WORST service I've experienced at a coffee shop. The coffee itself is amazing, but I’ve come here 3 times and each time my order has been wrong. The first time, I ordered an iced latte and received a hot. The second time, I ordered a coffee and received a matcha. And now the third, I ordered an iced vanilla latte and a hot Yala latte, but received a hot vanilla latte and iced Yala latte. Then when I kindly informed the brunette female barista, she remade it, but without the cream top on the Yala (the whole reason I got it was the cream top). Rather than nicely remaking the drink, she gave me attitude. The service here needs to improve. The customer shouldn’t be treated like THEY are a problem when the drink is made incorrectly. Especially when paying premium prices. Love the coffee, service is consistently terrible.
