Every time we go to Pappasitos, even though the service is not up to par 100% of the time, the food we always get is sooooo good. We come here as a family with my son, mom and dad. We order the lunch fajitas and margaritas. It’s always so good. Every time. There is definitely something different about Pappasitos than most restaurants. I do not want to give you too much credit, so that you change too much and let it get to your head, but I just had to give credit where it’s due. Thank you for making each of our birthdays special. Every time. This is our go-to and has been ever since I was a little girl. For about 30 years, Ive enjoyed pappasitos. It’s always a good time for pappasitos and you cannot say that about many other restaurants. Thank you for your ongoing excellent food and service. Please keep it up as you do.

One of our all-time favorite Tex-Mex places. There were 20 of us and they accommodated Us by putting us in small room so that we could actually hear each other. The food was outstanding as usual, I love the seafood enchiladas! And a shout out to Dell and Paco who were our servers and they were outstanding! Great attitude and so efficient. It was amazing. Highly recommend

Pappasito's is overall just a great place with a beautiful atmosphere. Our server Carla was wonderful from beginning to end. The vibe was really nice and even though everyone was engaged in their on conversations over good food and drinks, you can still hear your on conversation like it was just your party there. The food and drinks were 10/10!!! Definitely becoming one of my favorite places!

Update (2025): Haven't visited in about 3 years. Have been 2x in 2 months and everything was actually delicious. Margaritas still top tier, entrees were delicious and fresh. Service was stellar 👌🏾 I go for the margaritas. Service is great, food is alright, large portions.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pappasito's Cantina, and it was truly an incredible experience from the moment I walked in! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, setting the perfect tone for a fun night out. Even though it was quite busy, we were seated quickly, which was fantastic. The food here is absolutely delicious, and I can confidently say it's one of my favorite Tex-Mex spots. The queso and salsa were outstanding, and the shrimp fajitas were sizzling, full of flavor, and simply perfect. The tortillas were incredibly fresh, a detail that truly makes a difference. Every dish was fresh, well-seasoned, and served with a smile. Our server was attentive, friendly, and provided top-notch service throughout our meal. Despite the lively music outside, the indoor dining area was comfortable and allowed for easy conversation. The table, though cozy, was impeccably clean. Pappasito's Cantina consistently delivers on food and drink quality, making it a reliable go-to spot for vibrant flavors and a great dining experience. I was so impressed with everything, and I will definitely be coming back, especially for special occasions. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic and delicious Tex-Mex!

The food here is so delicious. Love the queso, salsa, and shrimp fajitas. The tortillas are always so fresh. We came when there was a lot of people but didn't have to wait too long. The music outside was sooo loud but inside it wasn't too bad. Our server was attentive and nice. Table was small but clean. Will definitely come back for special occasions.

I usually don't mention our waiter / waitress unless he / she was really good or really bad @ service. In this case, Chloe, was our waitress this afternoon. She was very nice, friendly & refreshing which is nice, but what would count 4 me was her service. She was an " EXCELLENT " server !!!! She would check on us regularly. Our glasses never got below 1/2 way. I highly recommend her if she's working or if U can get her. We ordered the # 1 Family Platter Fajitas. This included marinated beef fajitas, ribs w/ a sweet glaze & bacon wrapped shrimp. The beef fajitas were very tender. The ribs were so tasty & tender that U could easily peel the meat off the bone. I really didn't care 4 the sweet glaze. The bacon shrimp good were very delicious. I have 1 complaint though, the tortillas were a little smaller than b 4. ( See my tortilla pics ) Overall, besides the smaller tortillas, it was very good. Would I come here again ? DEFINITELY YES ! ! ! !

The restaurant was very nice, it was quite large with lots of beautiful places to eat inside and outside. Its one of the nicest as far as design goes I've seen in Houston. The hostess greeted us and we were set right away. My food was delicious and the service was very very good. Our waiter (Bryan) I think his name was, was one of the best servers I've had in a long time. If you hungrey for some really good Tex-Mex you can't go wrong with this place.

Of course this large restaurant is always busy and so the noise level is quite high. Hubby and I shared the red snapper tacos. As alway, very tasty. We will be back to try the ‘special Plato’ probably la madre Plato.

If you are looking for a TexMex stop, Pappasito’s Cantina is an old faithful and true. It’s always a safe bet for anyone looking for good service, great quality food, at a fair price. Service was awesome. They were consistent and continuously checked up on us. Very friendly and attentive. Food came out quick and without any issues. If you order the fajitas today, I can promise you they will still have the same flavor, soft & tenderness years later on a return visit. This location just like many of the Papas brands stay busy even during off peak hours. There’s a reason for that, it’s good, consistent, and great service. You can’t go wrong with Papas brands. My most recent visit to Pappasitos was so good that I had to leave a review. Visiting the Sunday after Thanksgiving the restaurant wasn’t as packed as it normally is which was a good thing. The food came out quick and everything tasted great. The service was exceptional from our waitress, the gentleman that brought our food out, and other members on the team that checked on us. Only gripe I have is that Pappas restaurants are good for slowly increasing the prices on everything and I fear it may get to a point where Pappasitos isn’t my go to for Tex-Mex. Before you know it that Platinum margarita is going to be $20.

We love Pappas restaurants, especially Pappasito’s. A staple of family outing spanning decades! Food although on the heavy side is tasty, service is normally excellent but on this day, our waitress was waiting a lot of tables… so we didn’t get as attentive service but still decent, and the atmosphere is amazing! We celebrated our family Bday here, just like we’ve done for many years! The only thing I would say is that food costs have gone up a lot and the value proposition isn’t as compelling as before but having said that, the food was excellent and so was the atmosphere.

Our server Amer was fantastic, food was good, but total experience was soured from the beginning. Made a reservation on November 22 for tonight, December 19, at 6pm. When I checked in, I was immediately told they had a “grace period” of 15 minutes. We waited until 6:15 and still wasn’t called. Finally got seated at 6:22. What’s the point of making a reservation for a special occasion three weeks in advance if you have to wait nearly thirty minutes for a table? First and foremost I’d like to apologize to the staff for nearly inconveniencing them as they continue to socialize while I stood there ignored for 15 minutes until someone finally spoke to me. My apologies, I won’t come back again to inconvenience anyone.

Nothing changes other than prices going up, portions down. Started with the original on Richmond when it opened and prices were reasonable. Before the review covers this, everyone should note the following case as it shows their true colors - ALL ABOUT THE $. While dinning a customer appears to faint or pass-out and fell to the floor. Good news there were a few Drs present and helped. As the customer regained consciousness, the Dr. requested OJ to increase the patient/customers blood sugar. The Manager came, provided it stat. He said, he would like a phone # and follow-up the next day. Shortly, thereafter the customer was given a bill for the OJ. Seriously! I know first hand the manager nor anyone at Papasitos followed up? The reason is legal risk. Wish they had sued given the egregious treatment. Only time I have gone back is when some local group or organization that I am a part dictates Papasitos which, thank goodness, is rare! After the IPO it became a "dining experience" with a fairly pricey menu given the cost of Tex-Mex and Mex-Mex in the area. Today, $44 for fajitas for 2? Cheese Quesadilla's for nearly $16, beef/chicken $25? We choose the alternatives: 1) Lopez or the local hole in the walls....equivalent food, less $. (2) going to the bario...huge dinner for 4 with drinks. $50. (3) we bought filet for 19.99/lb with sides of beans and rice, drinks for under 30...(4) fine dining for the same price!
