Wow the house salad is great. Food fantastic, price is right. This is a hidden gem. I would drive up here to see my friend even when he isn't worth seeing just to eat here. It really is good.

I just had my first Caruso experience. I can’t say enough good things? I had the Chicken Cacciatore. The chicken was tender, the vegetables, Mushrooms were amazing in the sauce mix . Wonderful meal.!

This is a relatively authentic Italian restaurant. It's as good as they get to my knowledge. There's no standout as everything is quite grand. Their pizza is stupendous, depending how one goes.

There was so much on the menu, it was hard to decide. I ordered the spinach ravioli and it was delicious! Also ordered a side salad that was big enough to share. The service was great too so I would definitely recommend Caruso's to anyone wanting to go out for Italian food.

Awesome frocking Italian food !!! There pizzas are well priced to if ur ever in a budget but the whole menus is golden. From the pastas to the pizzas. They even have a French dip sandwich that’s bomb. Also the waiters are always super attentive and friendly n remember their customers. Very good establishment.

Service, food and Covid safety are paramount here! I've been coming to Caruso's since I moved here 13 years ago. It's my go-to Italian food craving. Happy hour prices are a great bonus and I would recommend this place always!! Thank you staff and cooks for such great food and experience!

Service was excellent, food was excellent! They have adapted very well to the outside dining situation with tables in the parking lot and they have built a new outdoor patio in the front of the building. Makes it very nice for when covid-19 goes away they will still have a beautiful outdoor patio!

Love! I recently came in and ordered a vodka martini with a shrimp 🍤 cocktail. After I was served I saw it was a Mexican style shrimp cocktail with avocado in it. I had no idea. I’m very allergic to avocado and told Rita the server, and she graciously took it back and returned with a shrimp cocktail without the avocado. Amazing, tasty, healthy and the martini was fabulous. Thank you Johnny and Rita for treating a long time resident and patron with great service, 😘

I heard right away when I moved to Sunland that I should try this place, but I hadn't had the chance to sit down for a meal there yet. Recently I ordered pizza delivery from them to at least try out the pies, and... HOLY S@#&! The Gabby's Special is absolutely incredible. For one, the crust is absolute divinity--nice and crispy along the whole bottom of the pie. The PERFECT amount of crispy in the crust. I ordered regular crust but will be trying them all at some point, I imagine (for research.) I mean, this was probably one of the best pies I've ever had! It was truly perfect in every way, so it was an EXCELLENT introduction to the famous Caruso's. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu! Wish I had gotten a photo for you, but I suppose there is always next time!

Cheese ravioli with cheese butter sauce! Great flavor . Perfect portion. Not too big or too small. Paired with a Caesar. Personally I like less croutons and could use some citrus to contrast the richness of the butter pastas . Once I added it myself umami was accomplished

I was so happy to find this place! It's local, it's casual enough just to drop in and nice enough to entertain friends and family. The food is delicious! They have an extensive menu, including gluten free pasta. I'd like to try many more things there, but the grilled salmon is so fantastic I keep ordering it time and time again. I always get it with their house salad which comes with a wonderful homemade vinaigrette dressing. The shrimp moniac is pretty special too.

It was my first time trying this place and it was delicious! The lasagna for two was great and they give good sized portions. I also tried my boyfriend's mushroom calzone which was so tasty! The salad that came with the lasagna was really fresh. Can't wait to go back to this place!

I've been there say 4 or 5 times already since I last discovered this place a year and a 1/2 ago It is quite a distance from where I'm from. I have a free time to make a trip I go out there. I'm a big fan of their Cadillac. Service is great even pre/post covid. I know a lot of restaurants I've been to precovid have not been doing well on the customer service side of things so I have not written any bad reviews Considering the lack of workforce And that most people just are being lazy right now. Simple Italian setting for some pretty good food. I got cioppino, a dish not common in Italian restaurants. The fish came nicely cooked. I a m not thrilled by octopus since it is very chewy but the meats were otherwise very good. The soup was also seasoned nicely. Yum!

I have been going to Caruso's since they first opened. The food is great, the atmosphere is great, but my review is about the service. I ordered take-out last week. When I went in to pick it up, I sat in the booth next to the kitchen to wait for it. I paid, the server gave me my bag, and I left. A few minutes later, I received a call while driving home. It was from Caruso's, telling me they found my wallet in the front booth. I am forever grateful for their honesty and integrity. All of my cards and ID were in that wallet. I would like to publicly thank the person/ people who found my wallet and called me to return it. I wish I got the name. Good karma will be returned. Thank you so much. 😌🙏

Okay im picky and bougie when it comes to restaurants (most restaurants suck) but this place is actually really good. I’ve had their pasta and chicken dishes which are great and good portions! But me and my boyfriends all time favorite is there cioppino. It’s so good! I’ve ordered it at 6 other restaurants and this is by far the best one. We love coming here. Also it has to be the Caruso's in Tujunga. The other locations suck.

I hope you’re sitting down, you need to digest this information. I ordered the all meat pizza and my life was changed. It was the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. It was so good I feel like a better person, I even proposed to my girlfriend and had a priest bless us (that’s not a joke, it really happened). I had the lasagna, my husband had the spaghetti with meat sauce. Each of the dishes came with soup or salad and garlic bread. The potion was generous and the food tasted good. Inside it was clean, with music playing and a darker feel which was comforting out of the bright sun. Restrooms were clean and everything was updated. It feels like a local place. It is easy to park in the lot and the service was fairly quick and efficient. Had a great time and left satisfied.

When I saw this place brought back childhood memories my dad used to work at one of the locations of this place and right away had to order the Garlic Bread and a Pizza Sub it was good to dine in I don't know

This was a much needed restaurant for the area. The pizza is really good and haven't had a bad past dish here once. The staff is friendly and its bigger than it seems from the outside.

Can't believe I didn't check this local Italian joint out sooner! Pepperoni and Meatball Pizza & Shells Pasta w/Pink Sauce had super fresh ingredients and were all very well balanced. I will be back.

The service was great. The soups are amazing. Garlic bread was very good. The entrees were hit and miss, though. Some definitely better than others.

Very good pasta and tiramisu! Lost a star for how loud the music was, since I was with my hard of hearing grandma and grandpa. The jukebox doesn't adjust in volume so we had to move seats and even then the waitress ended up turning down the music in the back. Otherwise great experience

First dinner here while in old home town. New to us, big lovers of Italian food. I always compare spaghetti and meatballs on first visit and it was great. Generous portion with basic dinner salad. Service was attentive and quick. Not "fine dining" but just right for a family dinner out or pleasant visit with good friends!! Those friends shared a pizza they enjoyed very much.

Freezing cold and it was lovely outside and temp outside was perfect and felt nice. We walked in and it was like a freezer. Me and mom had to share a sweater to get through lunch and may not go back if it's still cold next time , we will just turn around and leave. I asked several times to turn the ac off. It just kept coming on and it's sad cause I loved the food. Owner should save on electricity and make people want to come in and eat and relax, not shiver I controllably.

Cooks need to pay more attention to sauce amounts and not drown out the food. Bar is usually loud. Acoustics are not conducive to having quiet conversations. The food is ok.

Service is very friendly and on point, food was decent but Def could be better u ordered the lasagna,ut was warm but not hot and the cheese needed a knive, I would give this place another try as I was there 45 mins to close so it could be an off experience!

Their pizza is good, when they get it right. The last 3 times I have asked for thick crust and I haven't got it. I always ask for light cheese because if I don't its an inch of cheese.

The hot food was served on cold plares. The server was not attentive. We asked for our check 3 times and finally went up to the computer area to get it and pay. The atmosphere would be great if the service and food were handled better.

I got the impression that no one from the servers to the cook staff understood how to really do their jobs correctly. From how the food was cooked and plated to how it felt that the server was just a runner. The experience felt like 101 of how bad management ruins a restaurant.

WORST lasagna I’ve ever had in my entire life!!! Im 40y/o. How do you not put ricotta in your lasagna?? How do you not have onions in your ground beef? Skip this place No chefs works here apparently.

Unfortunately they undercook the pizza and really over do onions. Long strings of onion seemed raw and burned when eating. We always order with extra sauce and cheese which seemed not to be added. I would change review if we get another pizza that's to our liking. Otherwise it's mama and Pappas. So disappointed

The food was good and prices reasonable, but the service ruined it. It took about 40 minutes from the time we got boxes and asked about dessert to being able to get our check paid and leave the restaurant. We weren't offered refills on drinks, ended up getting our own extra napkins (ours came stained) because we didn't see our waitress for such a long time, and weren't informed about a $4 upcharge for a different salad with the family meal. We went to the back twice just to get our check paid.

On 10/18 Friday, we had dinner at the Tujuga Caruso's. We ordered drinks and dinner, and I really tried to like my drink, but it wasn't good. No one had come to our table after we got our items, I had to get the waitresses' attention while she was talking to her that looked like her friends, I let her I didn't like the drink and something else, I'm assuming their going to take it off my bill they didn't, I discussed with waitresses, well the manager comes tells me she can't take it off the bill because it's wasting and there's nothing she could, they finally did take off, warning this restaurant isn't ran right, I wouldn't go there again.

The Calamari steak was awful should have sent it back. The breading was under cook tasted gross. Other meals have been good.

The girls/ bartenders, they are unprofessional,they drink with the customers,which I find it weird,also it takes a long time to find them,/ also I don't believe the five stars. Sneaky

I am very disappointed and angry. We have been coming to this restaurant for more than 4 years at least once a month and they have never charged us for automatic gratitude. As far as it had been explained to us, it was only for a party of more than 6. But today they charged for it and not only that but they brought me a dish that was for my little daughter when almost all of us were finishing eating since it was forgotten by the waitress and told us that we would have a discount which I never saw on my receipt and to make matters worse they were charging me for an extra pitcher of beer. The waitress's name is Sonia

Rude and obnoxious service and the food is overrated. I had chicken parmesan and could taste the rancid oil that was used to cook the breaded chicken breast. Either that or the breaded chicken was frozen and they tossed it into a deep fryer with old oil. The mozzarella cheese on top was so over baked that it turned into rubber. When I asked the server to about the nasty old oil aftertaste she literally told me that this is the way they make their chicken parmesan and if I don't like it I should go somewhere else, then she turned her back and walked away. Really?? Of course I didn't/couldn't eat my entree and when I asked for it to be removed from the check I had to go at it with the manager, who had a similar attitude. Pass this place up - they obviously don't care about fresh, quality food nor do they place any importance at all on customer service.

Terrible experience. My daughter, my son, my son's girlfriend and my self were not impressed with any of the 4 different dishes we got. My son ate his steak but us three didn't eat much from our meal, even the margarita was awful and margaritas are so easy to make. Very disappointed considering the restaurant was pretty empty so the cook has plenty of time to arrange 4 meals. Instead they were sloppy pastas and burned. Guess I know why it's empty maybe stick to pizzas only.

I'm betting all these 5 stars have never dined at Caruso's Sylmar years ago Caruso's Tujunga was on par but then quality took a dive what happened to the purplish italian dressing ? Had a pastrami that didn't have that much meat but had plenty of fat and the ex large pizza looked like they closed their eyes when they cut the pizza some slices didnt get close to the center of the pie and not sure but do you see any salami? Did taste better than most local pizza joints . I live local but the drive to Sylmar is worth the drive
