Opinions de China Wok Sunnyvale
Tasty food with big portions and plenty of space. The appetizer were so filling. The location is nice as well, the pedestrian area has restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating. It’s nice for both lunch and dinner.
Fashion Wok really impressed me. The food is full of flavor, made with fresh ingredients, and the portions are generous. You can tell everything is cooked to order because the dishes come out hot and well presented. The place is clean, comfortable, and has a nice atmosphere whether you're dining alone or with friends. The service was also super friendly and quick, always making sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a spot worth coming back to. Highly recommended!
Loved my food and so did my brother. I had Broccoli Beef and he had a combination Chow Mein. He liked it so much he is going again next week for his birthday.
I have to visit this little cute restaurant whenever I visit Sunnyvale downtown and AMC. The food is always fresh and in good value. I love the small hotpot the best. Very cute small pot with soup and veggies.
We ordered fried chicken and it’s very delicious. I can’t stop eating it. And also the hot pot is amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.
9/10 Orange Chicken: delicious and crunchy with delicious sweet sauce. Totally worth it and more upscale than our local place. 9/10 Sesame Chicken: Same as orange chicken with its own sesame flavor. Maybe too similar to orange chicken 8/10 Beef Chow Fun: Delicious but overwhelmed by vegetables, including ones I’m not a big fan of. It was great! 8/10 Strawberry Juice: Delicious strawberry juice in a generous size!
Fashion Wok oh Fashion Wok... How you fill my tummy even in my dreams. Y'all this isn't your regular Chinese food. Think of it as Chinese food at a great price WITH better quality! This place never disappoints and I make it a mission to come by at least once in my outings every month. PLEASE try the chicken wings, they're life changing!!!!! (Got fried rice and general tsos because they are also bomb and on sale!)
Great authentic foods at affordable price! I just landed at San Jose and wanted to eat good foods that dont break the bank. This place does deliver. I ordered explosive spicy chicken, combination chow mien and rice. They were super good. Tasted authentic, generous portion with plenty of proteins. Spacious place with many seats. Next time i will order their wok dishes for sure! Will come back
such a hidden gem! The food is super flavorful, portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh. I especially love their wok-fried dishes — perfectly seasoned and not greasy at all. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome right away. The atmosphere is casual but cozy, perfect for a quick lunch or an easy dinner with friends. Definitely one of my go-to spots in Sunnyvale for delicious comfort food. Highly recommend!
This place is a hidden gem! 🥢 The hot pot was absolutely delicious — packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and just the right amount of spice. The broth was rich and savory without being too greasy, and the cabbage, spam, and other toppings soaked up all the goodness perfectly. The portion size was generous, and everything tasted super fresh. We also tried a couple of side dishes, and they were spot-on. Service was quick and friendly, and the food came out piping hot. Definitely coming back here again whenever I crave some comforting, flavorful hot pot! 🔥
07.30.25 Wed New Chef there we were told. Food wasn't as delicious and was too oily, Kung Pao Chicken tasted totally off, and didn't have peanuts in it. Pork & Shrimp dumplings weren't good, couldn't taste or see any shrimp in it at all. Would pass on those. New Chef needs to do better. Miss the Old Chef, where did they go? 06.20.25 Fri Beef Chow Fun is also delicious, soft noodles, not much beef but it's ok, flavor is very good, nice, crunchy fresh vegetables, we asked for less oil and it was made perfectly! Forgot to take a photo of this beautiful dish :*( Added pic of the Eggplant with String Beans = SO delicious!!! 06.14.25 Saturday Fashion Wok = Home Eat Excellent service from all staff, very good, hot, fresh food & beautiful location in downtown Sunnyvale! Parking in the back open complex gets full but across the street in the parking structure there's plenty of parking there. Home Eat is best known for tasty chicken dishes, I would never recommend beef dishes. Their Mongolian Beef isn't good at all. Today's fare (large portions!); -Mapo Tofu: delicious and NO sugar added, as it should be -General Tso's Chicken w.broccoli florets: delicious, sweet, with a tiny bit of heat -A. Choy stir fried bok choy: ok, but their eggplant and string beans is much tastier -Sesame Chicken: very good, sweet, no heat -Kungpao Chicken: absolutely delicious, perfect flavor -Cumin Lamb: only for those who love cumin -Grandma Curry Wok: just ok -Egg Yolk Fried Chicken Wings, like 12+ pieces: no. Smelled like egg yolk, was fresh but didn't taste good, wouldn't reorder or recommend -Spicy Pepper Fried Chicken Wings, also 12+ pieces, also fresh but not tasty at all and also not one bit spicy. ***For fried flavorful chicken wings, just go to the Korean restaurants that serve them to light up your taste buds

It's really good and delicious! So many people in Tuesday, have to be wait for a seat, this proves the quality and tasty of the food!
Great place, friendly staff and very authentic chinese food. Recommend to go for all occasions.
Food was really good and the service was great, the ambiance was also very nice and it is a good place to get lunch or dinner.
Food is ok but not the Chinese Chinese taste but it’s still good and tasty. Price is hard to beat. Generally clean for the number of people. Located in historical downtown Sunnyvale.
I was surprised to see they had a similar interior and menu to Home Eat, and found out they are likely the same restaurant chain. We ordered a small hot pot, fried chicken wings, salt and pepper fried fish, and cumin lamb. The fried chicken wings were made with Garlic, Pepper, and Sweet Soy Sauce. The salt and pepper fried fish came with bell peppers and onions, and cumin lamb was served with onions and cilantro. Everything tasted pretty delicious and paired well with rice since the flavors leaned on the heavier side. The service was great and friendly, I would recommend thesalt and pepper fried fish and cumin Lamb.

Solid food that's centered on a Taiwanese menu but mixed in with a bunch of other Asian cuisines, like Korean Army Stew. They have a super extensive hot pot menu, and the spicy dishes are truly spicy…
This is the third location I visited. I have visited the Foster City one which now has closed( I missed it as I visited it regularly before). The second one called Home eat at Cupertino and I came to this location after watching movie at AMC. This restaurant has many seating including many round table which usually for big group of people. It was pretty busy when we arrived but we got seated right away. You ordered using qr code. We order the secret lamb pot. I like the restaurant as they have many side dishes which I believe right now it is 6.99 for 2 items. I remember they allowed 3 items couple years ago. You can order it directly by pointing out the dishes at the display. I like the pork stomach and beef. The cucumber is also yummy. Our main order was ready pretty quickly. Most of the time I order the secret land as they are yummy but this time it is a bit dissapointed. The lamb seems was boiled separately so it doesn't have the taste of the soup. It is very dry, tough and overcooked. This was different than when I had it before at other Fashion wok restaurant. The good thing is the utensil, mug and plate are at the table and you can just grab it instead of have to ask. You can also get the sauce in individual plastic package on the side. It has plenty of sauce like garlic sauce, chili etc.
The salt and pepper chicken were the best. Perfectly seasoned. The fried rice was not greasy. The pig trotter was very cold and hard so I took it home to boil as I couldn't eat it. The gizzards, tripe, and pig ears all had very similar taste that you can't tell it apart. I also don't like it served cold as it can be an oily dish. Also took those home to be heated up. They do have a nice chili bar area. It was just ok food and I wouldn't say it's a must have.
Extremely disappointing and poor food quality. Tonight we ordered the Tidu Sliced Beef Pot, Special Pork Bone, and Beef Chow Fun. Beef Chow Fun was passable but the other two were very poor. The meat in both the Beef Pot and the Pork Bone were extremely dry and hard to chew. Parts of the pork were clearly discolored by being over cooked or sat out for a while (see the dark brown crust on the pork in the photo attached). We did not finish either of these two dishes. I’ve been going to this restaurant for over six years, and it was a staple for me over the pandemic when I came here at least once a month to try out the monthly specials. I was here during the “small bowls” phase and liked that too. I still remember when the Special Pork Bone was only 9.75 back in the day. Well now it’s $12.75, but clearly the price should have increased more because the quality just keeps on dropping. I don’t know what happened to this restaurant, but it’s not the Fashion Wok I remember.
