Lee always creates such a welcoming vibe with a warm and friendly attitude. The Mediterranean bowl is packed with flavor and never disappoints. The space feels calm and inviting, and watching the open kitchen adds to the experience. I also really appreciate the variety of fresh and wholesome food choices. A place that easily earns five stars.

Amazing food, the Mediterranean bowl was very fresh and flavorful. Extra bonus is the homemade cookies and pineapple cream soda on tap. Staff was very welcoming- David was great!!!

Urban Plates in Sunnyvale is always a great experience. The restaurant is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, showing real pride in how the team operates. Leadership is clearly on top of everything — the staff is organized, attentive, and efficient. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared every tim I visit.

5 stars because the food makes up for the service. We all had the steak with different sides and it was delicious! But the server changed the tip that I gave him and ended up taking more money. The bill that I saw myself paying at the counter was 33$, I come home to find out 40$ were taken out of my wallet, so just be careful with this. But the food and atmosphere were great

My Father-N-Law and I discovered this place on accident and it did not disappoint. We went into the establishment around 5:30pm, ordered our food, and by 5:40, the food was brought to out table. We were super surprised lol. We both elected to order the Braised Short Ribs bowl, with organic mashed potatoes, tomato pesto, and microgreens. Simply put...It was D-DAMN-LICIOUS! The short ribs were soooo tender and flavorful. My goodness! I'm from the South and every bite tasted like my Grandmama was in that kitchen cooking. That food touched my soul. That's some of the best cooking I've had since I've been living in California. On top of that, the service was great as well. We received a warm welcome as soon as we entered the establishment and we received a warm goodbye as we departed. Everything about Urban Plates is 10/10. I can't wait to go back.

I ordered the chicken and prawns from Urban Plates, and both dishes were excellent — flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The highlight of the meal was definitely the mashed potatoes, which were creamy, rich, and absolutely a 10/10. The drinks were also refreshing and balanced the meal perfectly. Overall, the food quality, taste, and presentation exceeded expectations, making it a really satisfying dining experience. I’d definitely recommend Urban Plates for anyone looking for hearty portions and great flavors.

Urban Plates was such an interesting spot we recently stopped by because it really combines the fast food and dine in restaurant experience in such a unique way. Parking is pretty easy to find with a garage nearby and the setting of the inside is pretty nice too. Ordering feels like a fast food place where you go through a digital menu on a touch screen but the quality of food is so much higher than that. We ordered a grilled steak sandwich with fries and proceeded to sit down at our table. Like a regular restaurant they bring the food out to you and you can even see the chefs cooking at their station which is interesting to watch while you wait. The grilled steak sandwich was pretty good, the steak cooked perfectly and had nice juice to it with warm bread around it. The fries were also pretty good. The most impressive thing was that from order to get food was less than 10 minutes even with two other people dining with us. Urban Plates really does a great job of fast food convenience but with genuine, good food. It’s the ultimate spot to grab a quick bite at but not feel bad about the 1000 calories you ate after.

Urban Plates offers a solid dining experience with clean, well-portioned, and thoughtfully prepared dishes. I ordered the chimichurri steak with herb roasted potatoes and the goat cheese beet salad. The steak had good flavor, but unfortunately, it arrived cold and was swimming in oil from the chimichurri—just a bit too saturated for my taste. Even the burger and fries we ordered felt unusually greasy, which was a surprise given the otherwise wholesome menu. On the upside, the beef & mushroom braise with ginger turmeric rice was a standout—warm, savory, and incredibly comforting. That’s the dish I’d definitely go back for. Despite a few execution flaws, Urban Plates remains a reliable option for fresh, quality meals. Just hope for a lighter hand with the oil next time!
