Never disappointed in this place. The original owners were very friendly and their children now are doing a wonderful job with keeping up with the place with still friendly and fast food delivery. Love this place. Best fish'NChips in Sunnyvale CA in my opinion.

After came home from London, I started to have some craving about fish and chips, searched for one near work in Sunnyvale and found this little place hiding in a corner of a shopping center. Went there for lunch and the place was empty on a Thursday, I think most people take out instead of eating in. I ordered a 2 piece for $14, and eat in because I wanted them hot and crispy. The order was made to order and they came out quite hot and crispy both fish and chips. They’re so good, no fishy smell, the fish was so white and tasty with vinegar and tartar sauce. Enjoy every bite just like fish and chips in London. The only thing that fell short is the chips. They’re crispy but not as rich and tasty as real fresh potato fries. Anyhow, it hit the spot and I liked it. Will come back here whenever I have a crave for fish and chips, glad it’s not too far from work.

When I was a kid, I used to get fish & chips with my brothers and eating it with hot sauce over rice made it the ultimate comfort food. I was craving this today so I found this hole in the wall, and my god, the food is 🔥🔥 ! I ordered the fish & clams & chips — tasted very fresh and delicious. The breading they use is hard to find (most places use the gritty one for seafood which I hate). Portion size is reasonable and pretty filling, but my husband was upset I didn’t order him any. They also loaded me up on tartar sauce, which I’m normally not a fan of, but they must make theirs in-house because it’s very good too. A few other people saying that the fries are not good but I disagree, they must be fried in the same batter as the fish because it’s flavorful with an extra crunch but still manages to be soft in the center. I was honestly shocked at how good the food is since it was just a random place I found online and decided to go because the pictures looked good, but I will definitely be back and I HIGHLY recommend.

Prolly the best onion ring, egg roll, and fried prawn I've ever had the fish great too having lived in Seattle I respect a nice big piece of fish great tartar sauce and sweet and sour. Ordered to go, saw they had a beer, order was done half beer point I was primed for this sat down ate half on the spot finished my beer took the rest home for leftover. Every meal I've had in metro San Fran has been quite good 💞👍👍

Both the fish and the chips are very good. The batter is not quite up to British or Canadian standards, but it's the closest I've found in the Silicon Valley. It's mostly takeout with a few tables, very usual for a fish n chips shop.

This is one of the better Fish N Chips spots in the area. It has been around for a long time, and is a small family-owned spot. The fish is always cooked well, and the batter remains crunchy. The fish itself seems fresh. I recommend trying the fried mushrooms if you don't want the fries. I usually carry-out, but there's room to comfortably dine in as well.

As my BF's favorite Fish & Chips restaurant is closed, (due to Pandemic), we decided to try Bay Fish & Chips. It had a high rating and is close to where we live. We ordered in-store and liked that they were observing all guidelines. Masks and gloves were in use and there is a table, keeping people 6' away from counter. We decided to order 2 #1's. #1 is 2 PC's Fish, (thin strips) and Chips @ $11.75 per order. In approximately 5 minutes, we left with our lunch. The fries were crinkle cut fries, (frozen, from a bag), and they were fried perfectly. The Fish had a really nice batter on it. Not overly thick, good flavor and was fried perfectly as well. The Fish portions could have been a little bigger and we didn't like that they charged for Tarter sauce and Vinegar. But between the fish and the fries, we were both happily full. We will definitely go back again and again.

Good fish. Love the other breaded and fried veggies too. I think it's a tad expensive, but damn the fish is good. No frills place here. You can order and go to the Blue Max next door. They'll bang on the wall when your order is ready... which you can eat in the bar.

This place was good and prawns were competitive, however, unions fish and chips is my favorite.

Expensive, small portions of mediocre fish and chips. On the plus side it's all freshly prepared, and probably one of the better fish & chip experiences to be had on the peninsula. Adequate if you have a desperate hankering, but not worth a special effort.

Coke was sour. I don't even know how you accomplish that. The fish and chips are both clearly frozen (the frozen food was just sitting on the counter waiting to be fried). The fries (chips) are bland and tasteless. McDonald's has better fries. The fish had surprisingly good flavor for having been sitting frozen on a counter a few minutes before I ate it. However it was also bland. Not the worst fish and chips I've ever had but I don't see any reason to come back.

Every time I go, the food is delicious, hot and fresh. The wait is a few minutes on off times and they get pretty busy at lunch, but they do take phone orders, which is nice. Today, I went here and I ordered $27+ in food over the phone. Granted I always eat here. Today when I ordered I forgot to tell them lightly cooked fries and then I got hard burnt fries and when I complained she told me oh well... that's how they are... and it's my fault Nyways cuz I did not say light cooked fries...she walked away and said just eat them. The cook (husband)tried to calm her down... he made my fries over but she was so mad... I was upset too...it was an accident. I apologized but she almost threw my fries on the table. It was awkward. We ate... on way out I apologized again for the mistake and again she ignored me and walked away. It is best FISH... but not sure I need all the drama over burnt fries.

I had the two piece fish and chips and would have to say for the price I expected something more. It is good, just not great. The fish coating is a little too crunchy and the fries are lacking substance.

Lots of people waiting to pick up orders, good. Waited 15 minutes at the counter to place an order, as the cooks were so busy. Gave up and left.

The amount of fish they give is less than others in the bay, the vinegar they give is in little mini cups, they don't have a salt or pepper shaker so you're stuck with these itsy bitsy little salt packets, the fish they use is frozen but they don't take time to thaw it, so it comes out too stringy (not why anyone eats fish vs chicken) Better than any high/upscale place, but not as good as your everyday fish and chips

Honestly the food was “ok” the food was a bit pricey in my own opinion. The one thing that killed this place wasn’t just the prices was the after taste from the food that killed it. As I write this review it’s still on my taste buds yuck. Taste like they reuse the oil A lot at this place.

The food is OK, but the service can be appalling, because they don't like people who speak Spanish. I have a recorded video to prove it, should anyone challenge my statement. Nobody should be treated poorly for their skin color, language or ethnic background. Unfortunately, this happened to me. Eat here and know that these are people who have strong prejudices and it may be projected towards you.

You can see the chef/cook when you order at the front ordering counter. We saw the cook dropped a piece of prawn on the floor but picked it up right away to dip in the batter for frying. We decided not to eat there. We ended up eating at the Dim Sum King next door. Found out later, the cook is also the new owner now. No wonder... too bad because the previous owners were very friendly and honest. Will not be going back to the Bay Fish n Chips and no more company orders there either.

They used to have some great catfish (pretty expensive, but good). Just now went there and asked for the fried catfish (family order... not cheap $50, ten pieces) and was told that they did not have catfish!?! I said that they used to, I had a blank look returned to me and a no we didn't?!? "I bought it here!" The response was a shrug and turned her back on me!? With an attitude like that... I will eat at the nearest sewage treatment plant before I go there again! If you no longer want to carry something on the menu...don't treat your customers like something you just scraped off your shoe, when they ask for it! Right now, I am pretty upset for the way I was treated (I'm trying very hard to keep this review clean) but I can say this... I hope they go out of business very soon and clean up the neighborhood! ZERO, NEGATIVE STAR! RUDE, BAD ATTITUDES, SERVICE! We came in for fish n chips. But when we had a question about the menu, the COOK (male) turned around and said in a loud and rude tone, “DAMN! WHY SO MANY QUESTIONS!” It was obvious the cook (the owner, found out later), didn’t care about his customers. We decided to leave without any order. If the owner/cook has such a negative attitude and service, one can only imagine how the food quality or freshness is going to be. Dine there at your own risk!

The service was so bad, when I made my order on the phone the girl hung up on me. When I went to pick she just ignored me for at least 5 plus minutes I was just about to leave when she finally acknowledged me (mind you there were no other person in in there!!) Then I went to pay she never even looked at me! I spent $60. When I left I said I would never come back because she was so rude!!! Her response was o.k bye. Then when I got home the food was marginal at best

I resident Of Sunnyvale always go to this place always are treated kind and professional but the other day I went there to get my order that I always order and I didn’t get the right order. I am always kind and humble. so the other day they gave me the wrong order cause I took it home and opened it. I called and said he gave me the wrong order. All they could say is this is what you ordered. This is what you told me. Period so I felt really unwelcome there after all the times I ever gone there. I’ve always left the tip and treated them very kindly you would think the customer is always right and they would have an understanding and say come back in and we’ll fix it, but there was none of that. They got their money and they were happy. It’s not a good review, but that’s what happened to me
