Opinions de The Halal Guys Sunnyvale
The environment is welcoming, the service is friendly, and the food looks clean and tastes delicious. It’s a great spot for anyone looking for Halal-friendly dining.
Absolutely love this place. Go here at least once a week. Need to make it more. Always get the regular combination and eat it all by myself and stay full till the next morning.
I loved the food! I ordered a Small Chicken Platter (Excellent Quantity) and my friend got a Falafel Regular Platter. It comes with rice, tomatoes, chicken, lettuce, olives, jalapenos, onion and your choice of white/hot sauce. We came here because Chipotle was shut, but will make this the preferred choice now.
East coast to West coast, the taste remains same. Where a proper bowl of protein and carbs filled for an essential person. Price is slightly different from east coast. Apart from that everything is same.
Halal Guys is a great place to have a taste of authentic New York beef over rice!

My husband really loved the chicken wings they offered as a limited deal onthe bowl. Definitely worth trying!
My go to halal food. Chicken plater is my favorite. Make sure to order extra hot and white sauce! This has been my favorite take out for years. Food here in Sunnyvale consistently good. Top sides are the crinkle cut fries and falafel.

Yum. The food here is really good for what I consider a fast food place. I like the Beef but my family prefer the combo bowl because it has chicken and beef portions and in their opinion, not as salty. The rice, lettuce tomato, and toppings as well as the white sauce...just complete the yumminess! The last 2 times, the server didn't fill the bowl, so I took off a star. For atleast $10 to $12 a bowl, it should be filled. I will definitely be back as I have eaten here atleast 7 times in the 2 months since I found out about it.
It's a nice place with options for indoor & outdoor seating - we had a Chicken & Beef Gyro - overall good, but the beef was bit more salty & chicken pieces were a bit bigger in chunks. But overall food is good to taste with the white & hot sauce.

The meat and the white sauce are tasty. However, I wish they had better quality tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles. I feel like they could elevate the experience by improving the condiments. Service has always been decent. The restaurant itself is nothing special

The staff are really kind and the atmosphere is cool. The food tastes just ok but not really delicious. You may be still hungry after finishing the food cause the sandwiches are quite small. We didn’t try the burritos but they looked really good. You must try the white sauce cause its really delicious.
Their presentation and quantity sizes are decent. But the flavour is not the same as the halal cart in NYC. Also the beef gyro was too salty. They also give their famous white sauce on the side.
Location was clean and plenty of space for dinning however the food was disappointing compared to my previous experience with Halal Guys, I would rate the food as average, the previous time I tried it at a different location it was awesome but not this time and not at this location. All menu screens were turned off so no menu to look at it either.

Food was not testy, meat was dry, service was ok but person was not in to the service. I am going there since COVID. But most probably today is the my last day. And restaurant front was purposely black with sing (2) WET GLOOR. Management needs to look in to this.🙏

Total scam. I would give it zero stars if that’s an option. Haven’t had food this bad in a long time. At least do not spoil halal guys reputation. First up, food quantity was so less for freaking $18 beef gyro platter. Are you kidding me?? Even a kid would still be hungry after having your platter. Carved beef was almost so charred and just so over cooked. Rice was barely there. Falafel size is half of what it was before. So much lettuce and tomato you must be high on something to prep that. This place is a total rip off and a scam in the name of halal guys. Avoid at all costs.
Ok guys. This one’s almost comical. If I could choose a negative one thousand just for the audacity I would. I came to Halal guys and the new wing combo reeled me in. I was excited to get two orders to have my mother try it. When I opened the door, I held the door open for a white gentleman who had the same mission as I did, to get in and get out. I allowed him to go first because he seemed as though he collected his thoughts, and I still wanted to view the menu. He ordered, no issues. He was in and out in under sixty seconds. I told the gentleman making the food that I would like two “wings plates”. The energy swiftly changed. He looked nervous and went to the register. He said , in broken English “they're 18.99$ each is ‘the price’ okay”? And stood at the cash register with the order up insinuating for me to pay before he made my food. Because he didn’t speak English and I speak intermediate level Spanish , I said in Spanish , “you didn’t ask the man that before me this question, you fixed his food and then he paid, you didn’t ask him if the price was “ok” why are you asking me? He continued to ask me if it was okay. I told him in Spanish that i “am a nurse and I don’t care about the price”. He then got the manager. She stood there silently . I asked her if she spoke English. She shook her head no. I said you all don’t speak English but I speak Spanish. How would you feel because you don’t speak English if someone treated you differently than they would a white man. I then told them in Spanish they were being stereotypical and racist against me. The managers nonverbal behavior showed me she sympathized with me. The man fixing the food said it wasn’t racist. He motioned for me to have my food made but at that point I was disgusted and walked out. For a Halal restaurant, traditionally made for Muslims , and ran by Hispanics that do not even speak English- this blatant discrimination is unacceptable. This should actually be a safe place for people of the Black diaspora since many of us are muslim. Do better.

I came here last week and the food was decent and so was the portion. but I was getting food today and they have the habit and intention of putting over 65 - 70% of the plate being lettuce and the server put almost half a scoop of rice and charged me when I addressed it and have done the same with the chicken serving. I am not coming here again. I would recommend you wouldn't either.
I just spent $100 here for food for my family and when I ordered a falafel sandwich they told me to wait 5 minutes, so I paid for my food and sat down. When the sandwich was done, they asked me what toppings I wanted and told me they couldn’t add hummus because they couldn’t add it after I payed. If that’s the case, they should have asked me what toppings I wanted BEFORE they had me pay. When I got on the phone with the manager, he told me that my only option was to pay for a full side container of hummus if I wanted it on my sandwich. The manager could not comprehend that it wasn’t my fault that they didn’t ask me what toppings I wanted before I was charged. The employees were wonderful but as a manager shame on you for refusing to put a simple spoon of hummus on my sandwich. I’ve been come here for years and I WILL NEVER be back again. Horrible managers. You would think after I ordered that much food you could give me a bit of hummus since it’s a mistake on your end. Next time ask your what toppings I want before you have them pay. Do better.
Ordered through uber eats, where they had a “buy 1 get 1” offer for the small platter. Not only did they send only one platter, it barely had ONE SPOON of rice. The platter was filled with lettuce and tomato- that’s all! $22 for basically lettuce and tomatoes.
Date: Sunday January 18, 2026 approximately 12:30 PM. My wife was craving a wrap and we went to Halal Guys due to its location near where we needed to do some other errands. We each ordered a sandwich and we split an order of fries. She paid for a soda in our order and I asked for a cup for water. After we paid the rather high price for such a meal, we were planning on eating at the restaurant to enjoy our food while it was hot. The lady serving us at the register forgot my water cup, and when I reminded her she didn't seem to have any, so she went into the back to find some. She came out a while later and said they didn't have any. She provided no alternatives or anything. I asked if I could have a small soda cup, of which there were plenty, and she could watch me just take water from the soda machine (I had no desire for soda) and she said "no." I voiced my displeasure but to no avail. She seemed to speak with a manager, but he made no attempt to fix the situation. We left with our food as we both felt like we were treated poorly. To deny a paying customer water is a violation of California Civil Code Section 114376, and even if it wasn't against the law, it's just RUDE. Other peer restaurants in the area provide a complimentary cup of water for PAYING CUSTOMERS like us. Even Starbucks provides a venti iced water if you ask for it in the drive thru! The condescending way that this employee handled this situation was just bizarre and lacked basic customer service etiquette. We were shocked and upset by this and left. I have been a loyal customer of Halal Guys over the years, but I will not come back again. I want to take my money to support businesses who do not treat their customers this way. The food was fine...not great...not horrible. We might have liked it more if we had been able to eat it while it was hot and fresh as we intended to. However, the food was not good enough to overcome the poor experience we had there today. We will not be back. There are other restaurants in the area that serve similar cuisine, and probably have plenty of water cups.

Ordered food thru uber eats. Pita was stale. Had a strong smell of old oil. Had to throw falafel platter with barbecue pita. Barbecue pita was too strong and smells pretty bad. Will never order from here again. Cilantro hummus and falafels were good. Rest everything is pretty bad.
