Del Frisco's Grille - Tampa

The ribeye was so good and cooked perfectly! The cheese steak rolls were also very tasty. Great outdoor seating and very nicer service. It was a great experience here with great food cant wait to come back!

We had a really good experience at Del Frisco’s restaurant. We went there for dinner. We showed up without a reservation and were sat right away. The service was really friendly and quick. The food was amazing and the servings are generous. Next time I am in Tampa I will return to this place that’s how much we liked it!

Had reservations at 3 we were seated immediately. Julie our waitress was really great. Cocktails were on point so delicious, fresh bread and the dinner was seasoned and delicious. The overall experience was remarkable and the results side of the restaurant has an elegant style I loved it !🥂👏

This was a beautiful restaurant and we really dug the downtown vibe. The food was delicious and so were the drinks! The appetizer ribs were probably some of the best ribs I’ve had. The prime rib burger has to be by far my favorite thing we had though. We will definitely be back to try more things!

It has been over four years since I have visited Del Frisco! We came at 4:00 so the service was great since they didn’t have a lot of tables to take care off. We ordered crab cakes for appetizers. Those were delicious and not a lot of fillers! For the main meals, we ordered the mahi mahi. For a little portion, it was cooked to perfection. It wasn’t dry or over cooked like a lot of other places. We also ordered the salad with salmon and another salad with steak. I think it was good as they didn’t say if it was good or bad. I would stay away from the cheeseburger as it has two very small patty. It definitely did not look appetizing. They need to come up with a special burger. The deserts were large and wasn’t bad. They are meant to be shared with the table. The price was reasonable given that most of the other restaurants in that area are very expensive. I would recommend you try it once if you have never been here.

Matt at the bar is fabulous. Great guy with a lot of experience to make something that fits your flavor profile. Spinach artichoke dip and fig and prosciutto flatbread are great appetizers. Relaxed atmosphere and great food. Worth the trip!!!

This was my first time to Del Friscos Grille, I found a great deal on a gift card at Sam's and decided to bring my husband for his birthday. The weather was still nice so we sat outside. We got there right in time for happy hour and enjoyed some appetizers and wine first. Dinner was also excellent as well as the service. It was a slow night because it was a Monday so we were alone on the patio and it was perfect. From the cheesesteak egg rolls to the ahi tacos to the burrata salad, everything was excellent.

We decided to finally eat here having gone to all the surrounding restaurants. The drinks were good. SO's steak came more on the rare side when asked for medium rare but otherwise delicious. Seasoned well and it had a delicious crust . I had the Short rib with Israeli couscous. It was so tender and moist! We had the lemon doberge cake and it had a ... Hmm.. a mild cheese taste ? It wasn't a bad thing , kind of like a sweet cheese. We liked it and ate it all. Our server was helpful with questions we had and prompt with our drinks. It has a great atmosphere, very modern . We would definitely go again .

This is such a classic restaurant. We visited for a family birthday celebration. Food, service & atmosphere were awesome. We started with appetizers (all except the Flatbread). They were super delicious, the Ahi Tacos & wings were perfect. Super flavorful and full-on foodie experience. The Mahi-Mahi was super light and flavorful. The steaks were amazing! We will absolutely be back!

Enjoyed an early Friday night dinner. Reservations were easy and in 15 minute increments, which I love! Started with a crab cake and shrimp cocktail. The crab cake was the 🌟 tonight! Simple, high quality meat covered in a perfect lobster sauce. 🦞 Entrees were braised short rib and steak frites. Steak made to order. Fries were hot and crisp, with no sign of oil. Short rib was tender and flavorful. Desserts were the New York cheesecake and torte. The cheesecake had a creme brulee top that set it apart from other cheesecakes. The sugary top was crispy, smokey and sweet. Love this cheesecake. The torte had a crust to die for with a creamy rich chocolate layer. I will get cheesecake every time! Last but not least, our server. Sydella was amazing. She was polite and cheerful all while being knowledgeable and willing to give her opinion of dishes. She never left us waiting, but also gave us our privacy. She seems like a nice hard working lady. Hope to see her when we visit in the future. ❤️

Good place for date night! Have a large selection of wine and craft cocktails. Happy hour is only at the bar. Steaks were cooked properly and the side of truffle Mac and mushrooms were good. Pretty pricey so definitely recommend for special occasions

Great good. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Brought out the wrong appetizer and didn't put in a side order we asked for but other than that everything was amazingm

It’s been awhile since I’ve visited Del Frisco’s but I was pleasantly surprised that the food and service is still some of the best in Tampa. Had a great lunch (Steakhouse Salad) and wonderful service from Lacy at the bar. Will definitely be back soon.

I recently attended a private event at Del Frisco's, and I can honestly say the experience exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding. The hosting team was warm, organized, and made sure everything flowed seamlessly, which immediately set the tone for the evening. What truly stood out was how attentive the management team was. The manager came by throughout the event to check on us, make sure we were enjoying everything, and see if we needed anything at all. That level of care made us feel valued and genuinely welcomed, not just like guests at an event, but like VIPs. The food was absolutely phenomenal — every dish was beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. You could tell the kitchen takes real pride in what they serve. The drinks were just as impressive: expertly crafted, delicious, and consistently spot-on all night. It’s rare to find a place where the service, food, drinks, and atmosphere all shine equally, but they truly went above and beyond in every aspect. This was more than just a great meal — it was a memorable experience. I would highly recommend them for private events or any special occasion.

We had an amazing experience at Del Frisco’s Grille. The food was delicious and the vibe was exactly what we wanted. Shane was an outstanding server—professional, personable, and always on point. Shout out to the manager, Stephen, who came by to check on us and surprised us with a complimentary wine. That kind of hospitality really stands out. Highly recommend!

WOW! That is what you are going to say after eating here! First making a reservation was easy and we can see why it is recommended….. the restaurant filled up fast for a Monday night. Next, our server Nicole( Tasia) was so personable and attentive. Her smile was contagious and we found ourselves smiling each time she came by. The food is out of this world delicious. Make sure to have the cheesesteak egg rolls. You get four halves, which are very filling and delicious! Our steak salads were made perfectly and huge. We ended the evening with a complimentary slice of cheesecake for my husband’s birthday! Thank you, Nicole for making the night special! We are still smiling!!!

What a great spot! We stopped in after work with a few colleagues and were all really impressed. Everyone loved their drinks, and the appetizer selection was a solid 10/10 — highly recommend the artichokes! For dinner, I had the shaved steak sandwich and it was prepared so well. They also had seasonal cocktails and desserts, and I think we ended up trying one of each Shoutout to our server, Steve — he was awesome and made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be back!

Really enjoyed our dinner here. Was nice atmosphere. Food & choices were great. Prefer the steak at Charley's, Ruth's Chris & Berns... but it was definitely a great meal . Use the valet parking... it is difficult finding parking there during any hours we've ever been to any of the 3+ restaurants that use that same parking lot.

Upscale dining experience as far as the food is concerned; however, it is loud, bright, and busy, so it's difficult to have a romantic evening or quiet dinner conversation. Feels like you are sitting at an Applebee's, but trust me the tab doesn't feel that way. Nothing like the Del Frisco's in Dallas btw. Our food was prepared well and served quickly. The server was pleasant and receptive. Nothing overly impactful about our evening or experience. We enjoyed our cheesecake dessert. Good wine and bourbon selection. For a party of two with only two cocktails each, I didn't expect a $300 tab. Overall, it was a good dinner.. They just need to up the ambiance to match the food quality and prices. Saw parties of all sizes, so clearly able to accommodate groups. Highly recommend reservations. Given the plethora of upscale steak houses in the area, we will go someplace else next time.

Atmosphere was good, bathrooms were nice and very clean. Our service with Ethan was good for the most part, took a little bit to get a refill and it wasn't busy yet. The food was decent. The lobster tail is very small for the price to add it on... my husbands steak was overcooked as well but he is a suffer in silence type. We ordered the berry cobbler for dessert and it was amazing! Would order that again!

This was a very enjoyable experience and the service was extremely friendly. We made a great choice in the Cheesesteak Egg Rolls. There was so much flavor going on in one bite, and the burger was huge!!! I was told that the Beef Stroganoff was good but could have used some more flavor. I’ve heard great things about brunch and looking forward to going back again. Thanks for an amazing time.

As always me and my partner like to try new restaurant & this place was our latest date night location & we enjoyed it. He couldn't stop raving about the roasted chicken it was perfect flavor with right amount of char broil flavor wasn't under done like other restaurants. I had to tell the waiter to compliment the chef. Overall we enjoyed our night here. We felt welcome and comfortable here. See you again Del Frisco.

Always tasty!! Love the steak quality and variety. the seafood options are always fresh and delicious. The shrimp used in the shrimp cocktail may not be as large as other nearby steakhouses but these are so flavorful. The cocktails are yummy! Lots of good value in various bottles of wines. Sides tastes tardar. Nice location. Why not 5 stars? The location is too casual when compared to others (Eddie Vs, Ocean Prime, Meat Market) and not as hip as say Cut (in Beverly Hills).

Went for a late weekend lunch - shrimp cocktail was good, hamburger was delicious, baked potato was smothered in toppings. Overall just a great meal

Had a nice Christmas dinner here. Good atmospehre with low lighting and classic rock music. The butternut squash soup was phenomenal with a creamy texture and roasted/peppery flavor. In my opinion, the lobster was slightly overcooked and had a dry texture even when dipped in butter. The steaks however, were all done perfectly! The sides were just okay - truffle mac and cheese was grainy and the brussels were doused in balsamic vinegar, yet the asparagus was lovely. The whole table enjoyed the cheesesteak eggrolls and deviled eggs.. 10/10 for the apps. Anticipate spending about $80-100 per person if you order steak. Skip the sides unless included with your meal.

Been here twice and each experience had been great food wise and service. I decided to write this because I was impressed with the quality of food. Wish it had a little more ambiance but is still a nice place in a great location.

Overall experience was good. It was V Day and with a party of 6, and reservations we waited over 30mins. 😒 we were hungry. Had ordered appetizers quickly and got the pretzel bread; very salty. It was soft and butter good. But too salty. Again it was good. Del Frisco Grill, not Del Frisco/Orlando. VIP drink not as good as my first in Orlando.

Had Thanksgiving dinner at Del Frisco's Grille. My partner and I had never heard of this restaurant before but were grateful to get a last minute reservation the night before. What worked: cocktails tasted good (Old Fashioned and Margarita), Jumbo Lump Crabcake was delicious, Filet Mignon with Truffle Butter and Roasted Mushrooms were very good What didn't work: Our drinks took forever to arrive, the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail was way over done and the Lemon Dill Salmon was over cooked, and expected a bit more professionalism from the server Considering it was a crazy holiday and we were grateful they were open we'll try dinner again on a regular night. 😉

We were disappointed with our experience at Del Frisco’s Tampa. Despite having reservations, we were seated upstairs in an open second-floor area that was very cold, even with heaters. I had to eat my meal wearing my coat. Service was just okay; we had to ask twice for lemon and lime for our water, and there was a long wait after dinner before we could get boxes. The second server was more attentive than the first but overall service felt inconsistent. The Cobb salad was delicious, but the filet mignon was extremely salty and not worth the price. The restaurant also lacked the elegance we’ve experienced at the Philadelphia location. With many high-end steakhouses nearby, we likely won’t be returning.

Unfortunately, me and my gf’s first time at Del Frisco’s was for Valentine’s Day. We made our reservation about a month ago for 8pm. When we arrived at 7:57pm, we took advantage of the complimentary valet and that ended up being the best part of the night. While we understand Valentine’s Day is a busy night in the restaurant industry, having been in the industry ourselves, this was not a good dining experience. It took 20 minutes for us to get seated, 10 minutes for us to get water once sat and another 30 minutes to get bread or napkins/utensils. Our waiter was constantly running around and once again I understand the circumstances but she never checked on us long or often enough for us to have a seamless experience. I would have to physically put my hand up or out for her to stop at our table. We ordered the perfect pair dinner, requesting our steak cooked medium and to be left uncut, as she went out of her way to ask. It arrived medium well to well and was cut. I ordered the Swipe Right at the start of service and later on my gf ordered a Passionstar Martini. We had to flag her down when she ran past to remind her about both drinks, as we saw them sitting at the bar for at least 5-10 minutes each time. The Swipe Right was hard for me to get through and wasn’t worth the wait. I left it unfinished. We got our steak and side before we received our appetizer. Which once again, once we could finally flag her down to let her know, it seemed as though it was just sitting waiting for her to pick up because she immediately returned with the appetizer. We also ordered a caesar salad + onion rings. Those were great but were ordered to supplement the subpar meal. We wanted to speak with our waiter, Mar, about the condition of our food + experience but she would disappear for so long and we had already waited so long that we just bit the bullet and ate it as is. I saw a couple of managers to try to speak to but they were also whizzing by. Even trying to flag her down for the check then to grab the payment was a hassle. I don’t want to spend my whole dinner having to stay on high alert to see when’s the next time I can flag down the wait staff. We spent 2 and half hours in that restaurant and by the time all our food came out we were ready to go. The valet pulled up our car right as we were exiting which was great because we were over it. I understand it was a busy night and was prepared for an extra wait but it truly was not a great experience nor was it worth the $200 spent.

Truly disappointed I thought it would be better than it actually was, services was mid and food was ok. Only good thing was the wine and that’s probably cause it came from a bottle.

My husband; my son and I ate here on Valentines. My husband was so excited to bring us here. The restaurant is nice, but from check in to check out it was not too great. When we got there the gentlemen in front of us had to keep going in and out to see what his party wanted to do. While we patiently waited no one even greated us. Even though the gentlemen whom worked there made eye contact with me a couple times and he wasnt even the person helping the man going in and out. Finally it was our turn and we were seated. When our waiter came he was a nice guy, but he needs A LOT more training. He took my drink order I asked for an Aqua Panna. As soon as I gave him that info he left. When he came back he brought my water and 2 cups to drink from. He served me and my husband. I told him what my son wanted to drink. He left and brought that back.When he brought back my sons drink he passed it right along my face. He was so close to my face he could have just wiped my lipstick off. This is not an exaggeration. So back to drinks he never asked my husband what he wanted he assumed my husband wanted water with me. We move on and order an appetizer. We got the custard cheese balls. Those things were so greasy. You can tell they went straight from fryer to plate. They could have let them sit and release some oil rather than all over the plate. There was so much oil I couldn't eat them. When our food came I had the the prime ny stripe its a $62 steak. I cant complain because it was a little dry. I am pregnant and can not have meat that isn't pretty much well done. But the char on the outside.of the steak was so blk my husband looked at it and said babe that looks burnt. I said no its fine. I didnt want to my a big deal because I didn't want a $62 steak to be wasted. I gave a piece to my 9 year old he spit it out. He said mom that's burnt. I gave a piece to my husband and he said yeah no that's burnt. We'll moving forward I ate half. When I told the waiter I was full he literally snatched my plate up so quick and discarded my food. He didnt even bother to ask if I would like it to go. I couldn't even say anything because he took my plate so fast. My husband had a full mouth. So yeah half of a $62 steak in the trash. After that we paid and left. I will say my hsubands food was pretty good I was picking off of his a little. He had the roasted chicken. My sons only complaint was that his grapes were very soft. He likes them to have a crunch. But he enjoyed his hamburger. Oh and to top it off the restrooms didnt have 1 towel in there to dry your hands. My husband had to dry his hands on his pants. So we already rated this place for ourselves and we will not be returning. Its not worth the hour drive. Also our reservation was for 4 pm we waited a long time for our food. They said the kitchen was backed up. Not sure how because just around us there was about 8 empty tables. It wasnt even packed. Really wasn't worth the $160+ spent.

Previous experience in 2015, very positive. Good food and fantastic service. Updated 28 November 2024. Tonight, very different experience. Hosts, very rough. Chit chatted leisurely amongst themselves while guests were standing next to them waiting to be seated. No sense of purpose whatsoever. Servers do not coordinate amongst themselves. They didn't know someone else had taken our order. At one point, two of the same items came from two different servers. Wrong items were also delivered at another point. No silverware was placed, had to ask for them. Soup was cold. Shrimp cocktail was not fresh. Tasted like they have been sitting out for the entire day. Seven shrimps for USD$ 24.00 ... terrible quality for the price. Server started out strong. Went downhill quickly. Matt was pleasant enough at the beginning, smiled and helpful. Midway through the meal, someone must have stolen his cat or girlfriend and he became crabby and appeared pissed at us. Almost threw down a bowl of soup at our table. Towards the end, he started smiling again and appeared ok when we left. I hope he is ok. Empty glasses went unfilled a few times and dirty dishes were left at our table until the end. The food was actually very good, kudos to the chef. Branzino and turkey dinner were super. However, the apple cranberry cobbler was highly mediocre and forgettable. At these prices, this was a horrible experience buoyant slightly by the quality cuisine, but the service made this restaurant feel like an amateur gong show which has taken their guests for granted. Not coming back.

We had reservations for 7pm and when we arrived there wasn't a table, so we had to wait for almost 15 mins for a table to open up. Our reservation was for standard table and we were seated in the bar area. The food was good, however our server was very inattentive. She brought our food our, but never came back to see if there was anything else we needed and she didn't ask if we needed refills. I'm very disappointed in this restaurant especially because my husband and I were celebrating a special occasion. We had many choices in selecting restaurants and we chose this one. We both decided that we will not be coming back.

The food deserves five stars, the service deserves zero. Our server got an attitude the moment we said we wanted the special, and it only went downhill from there. After realizing we weren’t ordering from the full menu, she checked out and was disinterested & rude. Forty minutes for drinks, no check-ins during the meal (which took over an hour), and when I asked for a dessert menu, she flat-out never brought it. We had to request our checks, which another server actually picked up and rang us out for. It’s rare to see someone so obviously uninterested in doing their job. Between the trash service and the nightmare parking, this place is a one-and-done. No meal is good enough to put up with that.

My husband recent experience: I’m really upset after my visit to Del Frisco’s in Tampa on Saturday night. I sat at the bar, spent a lot of money on drinks and a nice steak dinner, hoping to end a rough day with good food and good service like I’ve had before. But this time was totally different. My steak didn’t taste the same — it was really heavy, and after a few bites I felt bloated and stopped eating. I decided to take the rest home for later. I asked to have it boxed up, paid my bill, and left. Not even five minutes later, I realized I forgot my leftovers, I had just left the parking lot and turned right around at light and pulled right up where valet is located I ran in when I asked the bartender, she said she had already thrown it away. I was shocked — it hadn’t even been 10 minutes! After spending that much money and barely touching my meal, I expected a little more care and common sense. Most places would at least hold onto your food for a short time in case you come back. I left feeling really disappointed and honestly a bit disrespected. For a restaurant that’s supposed to be fine dining, this was a really bad experience.

Service deserved 0 stars. Ate here for the first time, they offer a girl dinner meal that they have advertised on social media. A friend and I came for it specifically. We were sat and our waitress Lacie (not sure if that was her name but that’s what the receipt say). Very rude. As soon we said girl dinner she treated us differently. It took 40 minutes to bring out drinks which she brought with the food. After dropping off our meals she never came back to our table until she gave us the check (which we had to ask for) She did not walk by our table for an hour after receiving the food. No refills. We asked for a desert menu and she did not bring. Another server had to bring the checks back after we had to wait. Why advertise the meal if customers will be treated poorly for ordering. My friend and I are good tippers and often run up a tab but the energy was so off putting we were over it. We should’ve had received bad service for ordering a cheaper meal. The service plus terrible parking situation, I will not be returning.
