We visited La Casa Della Pasta on New Year’s Eve and had a wonderful experience. Despite it being a busy night, the staff was incredibly attentive, and everything felt well run. The food was delicious from start to finish, from appetizers and drinks to mains and desserts. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and had a very authentic feel. To top it off, one of the waiters kindly offered to take a group photo of us at the end of the night! We left already talking about coming back because we enjoyed it so much and are excited to try more dishes. Highly recommend for a special night out or a great Italian meal.

La Casa della Pasta was fantastic! The owners welcome guests, make recommendations, take orders, and explain all of the options. From bread service through Italian cookie dessert, the food was great. I had the bow tie pasta with their homemade sauce and sausage.

La Casa de la Pasta is a delightful little restaurant that offers an intimate and romantic ambience with its dimly lit candles and traditional decor. Owned and managed by Franco and Mara Marolo, the restaurant is warm, friendly, and cozy displaying little personal touches from the owners themselves. Throughout the evening, we would see them in constant motion, running between tables, managing the floor, and ensuring every guest has a wonderful experience. We started with the Arancini. These were delicious. The marinara served on the side is so flavorful. I spread some on the bread in the basket that is served and was fondly reminded of Sunday Gravy from my childhood. We ordered the Fettuccine in the Parmigiano Wheel prepared tableside in a 24-month aged parmesan wheel. This was the highlight of our evening. While preparing the dish, Franco educated us about the origins of Parmesan Reggiano and the characteristics of authenticity. We also had the Short Ribs served with Risotto. I cannot put into words how delicious the risotto is. The short ribs were tender and beautifully prepared. You can taste the wine reduction. This was our favorite dish of the evening. We also had the Penne Alla Rustica. This dish plates simply, but packs so much flavor. Its creamy and rustic. We finished our evening with the Tiramisu. The tiramisu is phenomenal. My new absolute favorite. We had a delightful evening and we cannot wait to try more dishes another evening.

Lovely find! Though we had made a mistake as we pulled up into a weird looking small strip mall, luckily I was wrong. Upon entering around 5pmish I immediately told my wife, this place is full with reservations, we might not get a table. The young lady that greeted us at the door went back spoke with someone and in the best way possible told us they could give is a table but that they had a reservation in a little less than 2 hours. To us it was more than enough time and we were very grateful for the option vs telling us no. Food was great and the prosciutto quality on the appetizer was amazing, both pastas were also great. Espresso menu!?!!!! Really!!! I come to this area for work often and I have never found decent espresso anywhere. I am coming back after work just for the lovely espresso. Besides the food all staff was attentive. What a lovely find. I will be back!!!

We came here on New Year's Eve, I cant say enough good things about our experience. The owners were amazing and the staff was wonderful. Food was the best I've had in a very long time and watching the owner prepare it in the parm wheel made our NYE unforgettable. Thank you

Do you love eggplant parm as much as I do? La Casa Della Pasta -Tampa has an incredible creation. Its layers and layers and layers of thinly sliced eggplant dredged in flour & fried. Layered lovingly with cheeses & sauce. Other items pictured- flounder with egg wash and rigantoni vodka. (Their vodka is one of the best I’ve had!) and pork chops with mushroom sauce. I love the little things they do to make the experience special- the sundried tomato spread with house made bread crisps. At the end lil merigunes with espresso cream. It’s all the extras that add up to a beautiful meal.

Today was my husband's birthday, and we ventured out to La Casa Della Pasta. The food was really great. The service was also really good. I enjoyed the Parmigiano wheel. That was a treat. I've never experienced that type of preparation before. I had the risotto with shrimp. The entrée was delicious. My husband and father-in-law had the chicken piccata. Both enjoyed the meal. Although they did not like the pasta that came with it. The chicken and vegetables were cooked and seasoned well. Mu daughter had the gnocchi. She really enjoyed her entrée. Overall, it was a good and pleasant experience. I'd visit again. My meal was very good, and for four people, the price, quality, and quantity of food were aligned. Reservations are encouraged. The restaurant was filled very quickly. Nearly all the tables were full with guests. There is plenty of parking.

Amazing night with my wife for my 37th birthday dinner. It was everything I knew it would be. The atmosphere is as authentic as what I would believe a true Italian household would be. The owners and staff made us feel like we were at home. Excellent choice of recommendations on wine. We loved every second here and will be returning. Thank you!

A very nice restaurant in such an unassuming location. A true hidden gem. The service was great - very friendly, attentive. Great wine selection and knowledgeable about their selection. The staff was great about letting us know that they can customize and modify any dish to suit your preferences. The Fettuccine in the Parmigiano wheel pasta table service was incredible as well, really an amazing experience. I recommend this. The pasta itself was extremely creamy, rich and flavorful. Very filling. Their menu is fairly large with so many great options it is difficult to choose. This is definitely the type of restaurant in which you’ll be planning your next visit before you’ve even left. They host a 5-course wine pairing every few months that I am dying to go to. I’ll be keeping my eye out for tickets!

This place is AMAZING! My husband and I wanted Italian for our anniversary and wanted small business. This place did not disappoint. Everything was delicious, the owners are very involved and so sweet and attentive, and everything is very reasonably priced. I definitely recommend finishing your meal with an espresso and cappuccino flan.

Excellent experience all around! Staff are attentive and kind, the owners are welcoming and passionate about their customers experience. The smoked burrata is new, beautifully plated and absolutely delicious! I got a bow tie pasta and sausage entree with a cappuccino panacotta for dessert both were phenomenal and came out quickly. I want to go back for the fettuccine parm wheel dish that includes a table display of melting cheese being torched! The ambiance is amazing, very romantic date night vibes. Can’t wait to return!

One of the best Italian food we had so far in Tampa . They have a very good vegetarian options. Staffs were really friendly. We had Bruschetta, whole wheat pasta pomodoro e basilico arrabbiata, Fettuccine on the parmiggiano regano wheel and Tiramisu! Bruschetta was soo fresh and tasted amazing, pasta both arrabbiate and fettucine tasted soo good, also fettucine was prepared on the parmigiano wheel in front of you which was a new experience for both of us and last but not least tiramisu was super delicious! Definitely it would be our go to Italian spot!

We loved our meal here! The wine selection was great. The anti-pasti appetizers were delicious. The meat was so fresh and the garlic bread so tasty. The table side pasta in the Parmesan cheese wheel stole the show! It was delightful to have the chef and owner share thoughts and insights on Italian food as he prepared it. We took dessert to-go because we were full, but I am sure the tiramisu will be just as good as everything else. You must try this place if you love Italian food! It is such a hidden GEM! I cannot wait to return!

TL, DR: I’m almost angry I have to eat other food. This place is a gift. It is exquisite and precise. There’s no flavor that could be added or subtracted. Everything is so fresh it’s like they harvested the food for us and then cooked our orders. We had eggplant rolatini, fettuccini Alfredo from the Parmesan wheel and chicken piccata, then tiramisu to finish. Mara provided excellent guidance on the wine. The service was warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. Everyone I met seems to be really in love with the food and the teamwork. I don’t think I’ve had a better meal in Tampa.plan

Have eaten here several times. For anniversary I tried the Alfredo tableside. It was prepared by the owner who had great stories while he cooked. I thought it was a little rich for me, but excellent. The bolognese my husband had was delicious. Would definitely recommend, good wine list and fairly priced. Wish they had a bar to have a drink at prior. We shared a bottle of wine, appetizer, dessert and coffee.

Update: Seriously. This is the best Italian outside of Italy. Every single time we come, we are blown away. Our absolute favorite meal is their lasagna. #chefskiss My husband will argue that the oreomiseu (their home made oreo tiramiseu) is the best item on the entire menu. We love it! Last night we also had the cannolis which were also very good. The owners continue to be incredibly welcoming and involved. Also, their staff seem to love them and they truly feel like a family. Initial review: Incredible. The service and food were both exceptional. We started with bruschetta, buratta, and prosciutto. We then got the chicken milanese and a wonderful thick spaghetti type pasta with pepper cream sauce. We then ended the meal with their oreomiseu which was divine. The owners are incredibly involved and were a delight to meet. We love Italy and this is the best Italian food we have had outside of local Italy. The ONLY disappointing part was their sangria. We will be back!

First visit to Tampa and had to try this Best of the Best to see if the Italian food stacked up. Boy did it ever. Such a hole in the wall vibe making it feel even more authentic to Italy. Calamari - lessons should be given to everyone else on making it this way. Every dish our family of four raved about and we all sampled each others and agreed with the amazingness. Pricey but worth it from calamari to pasta dishes to chocolate cake and cappuccinos.

Every now and then we all need some place to have a good quiet meal and recover from any given atrocities life will randomly throw at you. For me, this is that place. Granted you'll find it packed during weekend evenings and will need to reserve, but if you catch them for an early dinner, on a Wednesday or Tuesday, you will have some of the best this family's culture has to offer. From the heart, with no pretension, the only way the most authentic Italian can possibly come to be. E posso parlare italiano solo dopo aver mangiato qui. Grazie mille! -Erix

I saw this on TikTok and just had to try, we could make are mind up about the awesome wine selection so our waiter offered us samples because we wanted to buy a bottle. To celebrate 5 year anniversary, the vibe felt like we were actually in Italy the lighting was on point was very romantic setting, the owner came over and she made us feel very special offered us a complimentary dessert along with some amazing cookies omg they were so good. Food was amazing I had the shrimp with blackened Alfredo pasta and sauce and the hubby had lamb it was worth every penny yummy I’ll definitely be back

One of the best Italian restaurants I had outside Italy. I have eaten out fine dining a few times a week for the past 20 years and travel often. This restaurant is a hidden treasure. Great services. Comfortable casual atmosphere with attentive details. Easy parking is a plus.

This place is AMAZING! The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. Came back for a second time because we loved it. The fettuccine on the parmesan wheel is delicious and the risotto was really good as well. Everyone at the restaurant is so kind and attentive. Will definitely come back soon.

Great homemade pasta! Love the appetizer and breadsticks and the little Cafe creme dessert...yum 5 stars 😍 wish the outdoor dining had a little less road noise but can't have everything I guess.

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!!!! I had a flashback of my trip to northern Italy the moment i tasted the pasta. Driven by here literally " thousands of times and never tried it!!!!!!!!! The owners are from small town in the Italian alps bordering France. Real Northern Italian cuisine! I cant believe i have been missing this authentic cooking and the owners are serving you !!!!!!! MAKE A RESERVATION. Husband and wife working together to make sure you are satisfied. I don't eat pasta all the time but when I do I will make sure to come here. By the way they serve the food smoking hot and delicious.

Casa de la Pasta was a wonderful, unique experience! We went there to celebrate a birthday with the fettucine alfredo made in the cheese wheel tableside. It was like being in a little restaurant on a street in Italy. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm and inviting. The owner, Franco, was the one who made the fettucine, explaining all about their parmigiana cheese wheels, how everything is made, etc. He was absolutely delightful, and later even brought his wife over to introduce us to the "other half" of the restaurant. They thanked us warmly for coming, and made us feel like treasured guests. No one made us feel rushed or under any sort of pressure to hurry out. The food was amazingly delicious, and it was overall one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I can remember having. They even had gluten-free pasta options for my daughter. It was definitely not inexpensive, but everything was super fresh and made with such care and attention to detail, that we will definitely be back. Highly, highly, highly recommend this out-of-the way gem of a restaurant!

My husband and I decided to have dinner here this evening. It was a phenomenal choice. The environment felt very authentic to an Italian culture, small and cozy with amazing service. I had a Pasta del Mare and my husband a chicken Marsala . Both were amazing!!! I can’t wait to go back to try some of their other dishes. Definitely try their Alfredo pasta as they have an amazing experience in preparing it for you. Also wanted to note it felt very family like. We will be back.

I had the pleasure of dining here last night with my cousin, and it was an unforgettable experience. We ordered the cheese wheel pasta, which was not only delicious but made extra special because it was served by the owner, Marco. As he prepared it tableside, he shared a wealth of knowledge about the tradition and history of cheese wheels, which made the dish even more enjoyable. Later in the evening, we had the chance to meet his wife, Mara, who was just as warm and welcoming. Together, they made us feel less like customers and more like family. The food, the atmosphere, and the genuine hospitality all made this meal truly memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

Delicious on every level! We loved the warm ambiance, the chandeliers, and the unmistakable aroma of authentic Italian food as soon as we entered. The wine selection included some nice Italian options. We ordered the tortellini and the parmasan wheel linguine. Both were melt-in-your-mouth amazing and well beyond our expectations. We finished with the best chocolate mousse we've ever had, including in Paris. We look forward to coming back for another memorable experience at this gem of a Carrollwood restaurant!

What a delight to have a cozy, delicious Italian place nearby! We had the Calamari, Shortribs w/Risotto and the Osso Bucco. Everything was fantastic. The wine list is excellent and there are lovely touches like bread basket and house made ricotta spread. The Tiramisu is perfect and they finish the meal with a little plate of dolce with coffee whipped cream. The service is warm and attentive and the atmosphere is romantic, and lit with real candles. We've finally found our regular date-night spot!

Absolutely amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was very inviting. Every dish we tried was incredible. But what truly made the night unforgettable was our server, Sophie. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome without ever being overbearing. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she checked in at just the right moments. You can tell she really cares about providing great service. Next time, we will be sure to ask to be seated her section. 10/10 server.

We very much enjoyed our dinner here. The atmosphere is filled with Italian charm. Relatively small dining area but tables aren’t crowded. Would definitely recommend making a reservation, especially on the weekends. We ordered the gnocchi and fettuccine Alfredo with the cheese wheel. Pricey for sure, but definitely something worth experiencing at least once! Their bread was probably the worst part of the whole meal- very dry and tasteless. However, their tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious and I highly recommend! They also served some little cookie type things and a creamy dip along with the check and those were delightful as well. Overall, a beautiful experience!

Wife had a jonesing for the fettuccini at Casa della Pasta, so we went. Its NOT fetticcini alfredo. Made with pasta in a huge Romano cheese wheel and a torch to melt the cheese as the pasta is swirled around in the melted sauce. Done tableside and quite a show. Sadly, only the owner does this and he was off. No joy. Generally they are excellent. They grow their own herbs in front. As usual the staff is very sweet and attentive as last night. Sadly I was disappointed. I ordered a light meal of Bruschetta and a Caprice salad. Wife had a pasta with Chicken. Sadly not much chicken, and it was more al dente for for my taste, but wife liked it. The pictured note was on the table which is disappointing . We always tip 20%, but not tonite. I did leave a few dollars for the very sweet server and left a note for the owners. The problem with my meal was that they used tomatoes that were not ready to be served. Not soft and not reddened. This extended to the caprice and bruchetta. Caprice is usually Mozzarella, tomatoes, onions and Basil. No onions, one basil leaf and a smattering of pesto on the plate. I asked for more. 2 glasses of wine, and with the service charge and tip I left, it was a $100 meal. I could have done better at home, especially with my meal. Tonight was a miss. Maybe because the owner was off? Go for that fettuccine. $31 for a plate of pasta and cheese, but worth it.

I don't know how I never knew this cute little restaurant was tucked away in this little plaza. The decor is beautiful, the service is fantastic as well. I was debating between the Chicken Picata and the Pasta de la mar. I ended up with the Pasta de la Mar, it was ok, I've had better. The caprese salad however was great, calamari was lightly fried and delicious and the Tiramisu was hands down the best I ever had.

first time here, my boyfriend and i were in the mood for Italian, (we’re normally underwhelmed by the italian food we’ve had in the past so we’re hesitant to go to italian restaurants) i’m glad we went here, the atmosphere is so cute and a great date spot. For it only being the owners(they were so nice and very involved which is refreshing to see) and a server while it was picking up, the service was up to par. the food tasted very cozy, like a nice home cooked meal. it was very good, my only complaint is that my chicken was a little dry but the pasta and sauce was so good it could be overlooked but leaving a review, i have to mention everything. with the check came this cute little dessert plate, it was unexpected and tasty. very good experience and hope to come back soon!

Coming from two Italian families,my husband and I decided to bring my mother in law who was visiting from NY here for her birthday dinner. The atmosphere was excellent. So cozy and welcoming. What was very disappointing was that we chose this restaurant for the cheese wheel, and when we got there it was not available. The food was delicious, but the portions are a little on the small side.. it seems like the food was priced for fine Italian but did not really deliver. The service was decent but not exceptional. Overall we had a great time, just disappointed in some things.

My wife and I decided to satisfy her craving for Italian food by visiting La Casa Della Pasta, a charming and romantic Italian restaurant located in Tampa. This restaurant boasts beautiful decor and serves up delicious Italian cuisine that is sure to please. As soon as we sat down at our table, our server Mara greeted us with menus and a glass of water. After some initial conversation with Mara, we chose to begin our meal with the Bruschetta Pugliese and Arancini appetizers. Our server promptly brought us the bread with an oil mixture, which was a delectable and ideal way to start our dinner. Shortly after, our appetizers arrived. We began with the Bruschetta, which was exceptional, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Next, we indulged in the Arancine, a cheese ball that was another delicious appetizer. We decided to order Penne Alla Rustica and Lasagna di Carne for our dinner. The service at the restaurant was satisfying, and our dishes arrived promptly. The pasta and lasagna were both flavorsome, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at La Casa Della Pasta and the food was delicious. We devoured every bite.

I was at “casa de la pasta” recently for my birthday. I love the fact that the owners are very involved at the restaurant… pasta wheel was my favorite! Only constructive thing I have to say is that we waited for food a long time. Waitress forgot our drinks (she was probably new), food was good but not to fall of the feet.. overall nice experience. Dessert was amazing. I had the oreotermiso was delicious. Oh and the soda comes with a pasta straw! That was cool!

We had dinner at Pasta della casa last night. The server was very nice. Food came out hot and quick. My pasta was over cooked and not al dente. Our friend's pasta didn’t have chicken in it. The brought is later after he complained and the owner apologized. Up to this point we (4) were having a good time, not being ruckus or annoying to others. We had just paid our bill. Suddenly the lady owner stood by our table with a sour face. Our friend asked her “do you want us to leave? “ she said yes and turned around and walked away! It was 8:30 pm, it was half full and we were kicked out! We couldn’t understand why? Very disappointed and it ruined our experience with this place!

My husband and I went here to have a nice date night and while the food was amazing, the service was lacking. It seemed like we weren’t willingly served. We kept having to get the attention of a waitress to order (which we hate doing) and they seemed very cold. They never checked on us the entire time, we were never asked how the food was. Once our appetizer was dropped off we had to get the attention of the waitress to order again, and then once our main course was served that was the end of interactions til check time. I don’t know if it’s because they get automatic 20% gratuity but unfortunately it was not a good experience. Hopefully it will be better next time we go.

I have been going to Casa della Pasta for years, even before the change in ownership and food had always been good. My last experience prompted me to write a review with the hope that the owners see it and take this as a valuable criticism. Night started with a broken glass in the table, pointed it out to our server and she happily switched it. I first ordered the fetuccini in parmesan wheel from "today's specials" and the server let me know it is only served Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. I think it should not be in today's special menu or at least have a note stating the available days. I then ordered lasagna di carne (meat lasagna) and the lasagna had VERY little meat on it. We also ordered bucatini Cacio e pepe and was very disappointed with the portion size. The cherry on top and the reason I'm writing this review is when we ordered dessert (tiramisu), one of the servers brought a plastic sealed container on top of a plate with the spoons for us to eat, dropped it in our table and said "Here you go". I tried to open the container and I couldn't open it. I let the server know that I couldn't open it and that I didn't want it anymore, she said that she was sorry, that they ran out of tiramisu in glass containers which is why she brought the plastic one and I told her I understood but that I was disappointed with the presentation because we are in a restaurant, dining in. She said that they don't open the plastic containers. That whole situation was simply not acceptable for me, at least say something when you bring it. To be fair with this review, when we were paying the bill, one of the servers came to our table to let us know she had heard about the tiramisu and deducted drinks we had ordered but honestly for me it was more about the whole experience.

La Casa Della Pasta – Tampa (Ehrlich Rd) We recently dined here for the second time, and while the service was outstanding – attentive, professional, and courteous – the overall dining experience left much to be desired. On this visit, my date ordered the veal scallopini and I had the lasagna. The veal was acceptable, but the lasagna was underwhelming. The sauce seemed closer to a light vodka-style base rather than a hearty traditional one. It had multiple layers of noodles but very little filling in between – almost no ricotta, mozzarella, or meaningful amount of meat. For a dish billed as lasagna carne, it simply didn’t deliver, and came across as average at best. Unfortunately, the ambiance also suffered. Not long into our meal, two very young patrons arrived with a dog, which they placed under their table indoors. The owner’s wife explained it was a service dog, which I certainly respect where needed. However, given the circumstances, it didn’t seem necessary, and it detracted from what should have been a pleasant Saturday evening dinner. With outdoor seating available on a beautiful evening, this could have been handled differently. For diners expecting a refined, sanitary environment, having a dog at the next table was not ideal. While the staff tried hard to accommodate and the service has consistently been a strong point, the quality of the food and the overall atmosphere simply did not meet expectations. After giving the restaurant the benefit of the doubt on our first visit, this second experience was disappointing enough that we are unlikely to return. Rating: Below Average – excellent staff, but mediocre food and questionable dining environment. Proceed at your own risk of enjoyment.

Mediocre food, atmosphere and terrible service. The white girl with the tattoos does nothing but act miserable and rude when providing service. The food is not often cooked to order and leaves a lot to be desired especially for the inflated cost. The owner is simply unfit for her role and does nothing to add to the place if you’re looking for anything above gas station levels of service and treatment bring your money elsewhere.

S
Silvia Vega

Not a good experience. In fact, I didn’t even order before I got up and left. This place seems like if you look like you got money you’ll be treated very nice but if you look like a single parent along with your child, you’ll be looked at over your shoulder, waiters will pass by you without even asking if I’ve been helped. I had to go myself to someone and ask for a table. I saw the manager giving me a disgusting look kind of like “you don’t belong here” type of look. Up and down. A girl told me there was no place for me to sit down and was all full unless I wanted to sit outside. I said ok I’ll do that. I opened the menu and I saw the automatic 20% tip added on the bill. So if my service is awful like it was, I still have to give a tip? I got up and left with my 18 month old. Nah uh. I’m originally from Europe, Spain and THIS kind of treatment would not get customers at all. And obviously when my entire family and friends come visit from home I will NOT recommend this place. definitely not returning.
