This is an ideal restaurant to relax, have a few drinks, eat some good food while enjoying an amazing view of the sunset by the beach. The restaurant offers bar, patio, indoor tables and booths. Valet parking is available or you can self park. Self parking can get tricky during busy hours. The gift shop offers cool merchandise. A fully stocked bar with a good selection of cocktails, beer, wine and liquor options. The food menu offers a nice selection of seafood, sandwiches, burgers and entrees. There’s something to satisfy everyone’s palate for sure. The food has always tasted good. Service is a winner. The staff are always warm & friendly. Pricing : Moderate high. Will I return? : For sure!
This establishment is an absolute standout and an excellent choice for anyone looking for a memorable happy hour experience. The location is truly spectacular, offering stunning waterfront views that are perfectly complemented by the incredible sunset displays. It creates an atmosphere that is both relaxing and invigorating. I found the value offered on their happy hour menu to be truly exceptional, making it a budget-friendly way to enjoy high-quality offerings. While the food is consistently good, the cocktail drinks are truly excellent, crafted with skill and creativity. They are the perfect accompaniment to the scenic backdrop. A major highlight is the fantastic outdoor tiki bar area. Stepping into this space feels like a mini-vacation, complete with soft sand underfoot, authentic tiki huts, and those glorious waterfront vistas. It’s an amazing spot to unwind. Furthermore, the service elevated the entire visit; my server was genuinely friendly, attentive, and ensured i had everything I needed without feeling rushed. This spot successfully delivers on ambiance, value, and quality, making it a strong recommendation.
The food, service, and view was AMAZING! There were 4 of us and we each ordered an appetizer, an entree, and dessert so we could try a bit of everything. Everything was fresh and delicious! Sierra was our server and she was very attentive and personable! She’s an absolute gem! We were there just as the sun was setting and it was stunning! We will definitely be back when we are in the area again! I only got a few pictures of the food but this is the Swashbuckler Basket, Joe’s Fish Tacos, and the Warm Brownie Sundae
Welcoming way to kick off trip to Tampa from the frigid north. Couldn't be better than kicking it by the water on a dock and enjoying wings and a rum runner while the sun sets. Out waitresses (we had a trainee) were super helpful on recommendations and responsive for drinks during happy hour (even coming back to check on us right before it ended so we got one more in!!!). Rum Runner was well flavored and the wings were good but not quite as hot as I normally like. The grouper and crab cake were also good. Could have used a smidgen more "blackening" on the fish. But minor complaint as it was otherwise cooked to my satisfaction. Broccolini was giant sized and not wimpy at all.
Great food, amazing location with beautiful views right on the water. Go just before sunset and sit on the outdoor patio. Photos attached are the sunset from their patio, the bacon cheeseburger, and then a vid i took before walking in the front entrance
We went here new years eve 12/31/25. What a blast. Good food, good music, good crowd. Pictured is the seafood boil, the Cajun seafood, and grilled oysters. All so so tasty. Well be back!
The view was the main reason we went eat here. It was a beautiful view. The food is why we would go back. Fish was delicious. The beer batter was done just right. The tartar sauce tasted as if it was made in house. The shrimp and scallops were fried great as well. The waitress did a good job and kept checking in. Definitely worth stopping in and trying.
We stopped by on our way to the airport on a whim and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. The staff is super friendly and attentive. We all loved the option we chose. We had the shrimp & crab dip, chicken tacos, queso & dip, and coconut mahi bites. We enjoyed our meal out on the deck next to bay. It was the perfect way to end our Florida trip.
Great food and a awesome view! Firecracker tacos were delicious. My kids got the Mac and cheese and said it was “bussin”. Only in Florida for a few days but might have have to visit again before leaving.
I have been to Whiskey Joes in Tampa a few times, and it is always better for the drinks than the food. The views in every direction are amazing, especially at sunset or on a chilly evening by the firepit. The drinks are always cold and well made, even if the service gets busy at times. The food is honestly just meh and a bit overpriced. I tried the seafood boil recently and while the sausages were nice and spicy, it came with only a single cluster of snow crab legs and one leg was missing. The shrimp were a decent size, but there were only a few. I doubt I would ever order it again. All in all, come here for the drinks, the vibe, and the views, but eat at home.
This is probably our favourite place in tampa! It's the most on-the-beach, beach bar I've ever been to! The waves are small and lovely. The beach is clean and well kept with a lot of seating. They run some cool drinks specials and the vibe is always pumping!! There's live music, djs and more. They have indoor and outdoor seating and sell many products and merchandise inside. I'm so glad I got some merch! The parking could be limited and sometimes expensive but they have alternatives when parking gets full. Service is fast and good, and the service is usually friendly. Some things are pricy but you pay for overall vibes I feel like. The sunset is also beautiful. The sweet potatoe chips could have been crispier in my opinion, but it was tasty. This place is great for friends, families and couples. An outing in the day, or night. I'm so glad we came and we will definitely be back.
always have a wonderful relaxing time. a few weeks ago we were there the outside bartender was also waiter and server. He was amazing, and kept checking on us even though he was sooo busy. He made might daughter the best virgin pina colada. Wish we had time to get out there more often. Another visit, about 8 years ago, our van broke down, we were there for hours waiting for tow and a ride home, they were great. staff helped to entertain my step daughter and her friend, closed off a portion of restaurant for my daughter and her wheelchair and all the medical equipment she needed, and even helped out with my Bassett Hound. I will always be greatful for their patience and kindness. The food, staff, and atmosphere is wonderful.
This is one of the absolute most fun restaurants we visited on our trip to Tampa! A really nice, sit down restaurant with good food and good vibes. It was the only place we went back to for seconds! It was quite busy both times we went, so be sure to make a reservation and plan ahead for valet parking. With those taken care of, however, we were seated immediately! The service is great and the view is spectacular! As far as the food is concerned, highly recommend the gator bites as an appetizer! After that, the fish and chips was melt-in-your-mouth delicious and the sandwiches are top notch! Big portions and reasonable prices, especially for such a nice restaurant! The only thing that we felt was over-priced were the cocktails. For $10 - $15 each, they tasted like Smirnoff iced and buzz ball. Good, but expensive for what it was. Overall, a wonderful experience and will keep an eye out anytime I'm in Florida to see if one is nearby!
First time coming here and so close to home from the food to the service and can we talk about the VIEW!!!! Everything was absolutely amazing. Updated 5 /10 star review! Went tonight on Black Friday our server Kaylee was an absolute gem! She will be our go to server from not on. So friendly and attentive and just full of personality! You can tell she lives life and lives what she does!!! Onto the food, I splurged and ordered the ribeye and added a lobster tail. Both were fantastic. Truth be told it was probably one of the best steaks I have had in the 2, years since moving here. Everyone else really enjoyed what they had. Great night, great atmosphere, absolutely amazing server. Go whiskey Joes for the win After lunch walked over to the beach which has many palapa bands playing on the weekends and such a beautiful place. This is going to be the go to with visitors and a go to for us! The menu has something for everyone and they do take reservations. Can’t wait to come back
Food was awesome. Wings were so good! I got fish tacos and fries. It was all very good. Service was typical Florida slower service, but the food was tasty. Lots of birds swooping in on the just vacated seats stealing fries and chips. LOL. Great view of the ocean while eating. Plenty of tv's for sports or news. They have a little souvenir shop inside. Parking is valet parking unless you park at the beach and walk over so be prepared to pay.
Amazing atmosphere. The outdoor bar is fantastic. The ribs and fish tacos were seriously delicious. Sweet potato waffle fries were to die for
Great ribs. Very nice atmosphere with views over the water. Indoor and outdoor seating. Must pay for parking.
Great experience! Awesome atmosphere, great staff and unforgettable view! If you are in Tampa you need to stop at this place enjoy the view and have some food and drinks!
Great little place on the bay. Split the seafood appetizer. Plenty of food for two. Draft beers were very cold and appreciated after a long walk!
Such a cool place! Parking is wild!!! Food was good! Live music over looking the water! At the store tho why does everyone ask for a damn tip? I just bought $60 in t-shirts why do u need a tip to ring me up? Outside music and bar was cool!! Note parents do not watch their kids....kids running all over you could not just enjoy the water music and peace, kids playing and splashing everywhere.
Great location… we sat on the patio and enjoyed dinner while watching dolphins and jet skiers. The food was pretty good as well… first time having gator bites and yes I would order them again great service…
I had a fantastic experience at Whiskey Joe's in Tampa back in October 2024. This place is a true gem! The spacious layout of the restaurant makes it incredibly comfortable, whether you choose to sit at the bar or at one of the many tables. I opted for a seat at the bar, which offered a great view of the lively atmosphere. The highlight of my visit was the open bar, which had an impressive selection of drinks. I indulged in a couple of shots and enjoyed a beer that a friendly customer kindly offered me to try. It was nice to see the camaraderie among guests, adding to the welcoming vibe of the place. The bartender was exceptional—unfortunately, I can't recall her name, but she was very attentive and ensured I had everything I needed throughout my stay. I also ordered the chicken nachos, which were absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot-on, making it the perfect snack to enjoy with my drinks. Another point worth mentioning is the cleanliness of the bathrooms, which were well-maintained and refreshing. One of the best parts of Whiskey Joe's is its prime location right by the beach. After our meal, my friend and I took a stroll to the beach to soak in the beautiful views. Although we couldn’t go in the water due to water safety concerns following the hurricane, the bartender had advised us on that, which was appreciated. It felt great to relax by the shore with a drink in hand, enjoying the scenery. In summary, Whiskey Joe's is a must-visit spot in Tampa. With its great food, attentive staff, and beautiful location, I can't wait to return! Whether it's for another round of delicious nachos or to simply enjoy the beach atmosphere, I'm looking forward to my next visit!
Thank you, Sierra N! You made it a delightful dinner! The drinks & food were excellent, the service was great, and view, especially at sunset was gorgeous. Try something with their strawberry guava BBQ sauce. Great balance of sweet, tangy, and fruit flavor. Be warned; the Warm Brownie Sundae serves more than two. It was a decadent pleasure, but huge. Parking is either valet or a little ways away, but the valet were very efficient for us.
While visiting for a soccer tournament, I summoned across this place, and we decided to try it for dinner. But am i glad we did!! Our waitress was fun, knowledge and open to conversation about food choices. We loved the store in the front area, and of course the view of the water. It food came out a bit slow, but it was totally understandable due to how busy it was that night. The food was amazing, so so good. We got pasta, seafood, and Jambalaya!!! It was incredible.
We arrived here on a Monday evening. The restaurant was not super busy so we were seated right away. We chose the outdoor bar area but they also have indoor and beach seating options as well. We initially chose to come here because we saw it from the highway and thought it looked like a cool place. This place is huge, and has some pretty unique features including a beach bar, and great water views. We enjoyed the evening football game, ordered a few drinks and the pineapple cake. It took a very long time for the cake to be received, however the manager comped it as a courtesy. The flavor of the cake was really good but the texture was a bit on the dry side. Overall service was good, staff were friendly and attentive.
1st time at WJ. We were excited to see what they had to offer as far as fun, food and service. Looking at it from a far it seemed fun. 1st visual impression it is a 10. Let's start with Valet parking it seemed busy so we wanted to have the truck parked for us, when we get to the valet attendant he said they were full. It would have been nice if they placed a sign on the valet board that says FULL so customers won't waste their time driving in a circle in an extremely crowded area. With that being said, we found parking. Went in to the restaurant party of 4 the host was soso.. not friendly enough for me, but I guess that's what it is when a place is so crowded they probably don't care so much about how they introduced the place. We requested outside seating because it was a beautiful day.. BIG MISTAKE, even though it was nice the seagulls ruin it. Bird droppings all over the floor. One actually landed on the table beside us to pick up food. Finally a breath of fresh air when we met our waitress Isabella "Bella" extremely pleasant, bubbly, just very chill. I was happy with that, finally a smiling staff member. We loved her. We ordered the pinacola drink in the pineapple. We were definitely ripped off on that one. $17 drink, leaving the core inside the pineapple and literally didn't taste an ounce of liquor, all four of us looked at each other as we thought the same thing. However, it was cute once again settling for the look of this place because it is adorable. We all placed our orders and the food was really good, another save for this restaurant. I had strawberry guava BBQ wings didn't taste any strawberry or guava but the taste of the BBQ was enjoyable. My husband had fried shrimp with fries and that to was good. Oysters were delicious. My sister had the seafood boil which was a huge disappointment. They should describe it as a short seafood basket because it was definitely not a seafood boil. Their seafood boil consists of potatoes on a plate with butter and garlic and she had a crab leg. That's all that was on the plate she got. The mac n cheese was good. Don't hold me to the price but we spent close to a little over $200 for lunch including the tip and those 4 non-alcoholic drinks. Then after Bella was so great at her job being our waitress, we pay and go to their Barefoot Bar. Same hospitality at that bar. Bartenders were not welcoming and with all their facial expressions you could tell they really didn't want to be at work. Anyway, we continue to want to make the best out of it as I live in Tampa and my sister and niece were down for the weekend. I wanted them to experience something fun. This was a hard place to rate. My reviews have contributed over 2.4M people and it was complicated to rate this restaurant. I'm going to leave it at 4 star. It was mixed. Maybe it was a crazy day for some staff, even though it's not an excuse. I love the set up for the most part, fun looking, relaxing, breathtaking views which would make sense for pricing on other things. I could of given this place a 5 if the valet attendant, bartenders and host were a bit more friendly or smiled more and act like they wanted to be there. The customers were friendlier then the staff. I'm a upbeat, talkative and outgoing person. Maybe what I consider service could be over the top, but when I think of an atmosphere like that, I want to WOW'D.
This was my first time at the Whiskey Joe's in Tampa and the view was beautiful. There was an area to park to go onto the beach. Just a heads up it does cost to park at this Whiskey Joe's. Parking was 4$ for 2 hrs or 7$ for valet. I was not too impressed with the food though. I had the signature burger and was disappointed. I did like the loaded fries though. My friends also enjoyed the wings. I also really enjoyed the Atlantic sea salt to exfoliate your skin in the bathroom. So great!
So i've been driving past this place for a little while now.Whenever I visit tampa, but I just had to come to this place. Mainly came here for the view, but I really enjoyed the food here. I got an appetizer the clam chowder, which was a bit thick, but it's not bad, it taste good, and for my entree, I got the grouper beer battered sandwich on the chobatta bun, and it was really good. The atmosphere was nice, and Maddy my sever was very attentive. This was a great first experience.
Came for dinner and (lots of) drinks. Overall great service and food. Couldn’t check out the beach area because it was too late. I think they saw us go towards the doors and blocked off the beach area. No issues. Would be interesting to check out the vibe during the day.
Great views. Reminder Valet is not free its $7. Wait time was 30-40min. Calamari is always a great appetizer.
Sunday lunch time - surprisingly not too busy. Parking was valet only and most of us parked on the beach side and opted for the quick walk. Pay by plate ended up being a bit cheaper than valet. Came with a larger group and were seated by the window. The food was tasty, and the service was okay. It was a bit of a bummer that they didn’t clear any of our plates after we finished eating, even as we continued ordering drinks. We ran out of room on the table and ended up piling our dishes on top of each other. The window behind us also started leaking quite a bit when the rain came in, leaving a large puddle under the table. The construction looked new but didn’t seem well done. I would assume it was a result of faulty hurricane repair. That said, the food overall was good and really tasty, and we still had a great time. I’d go back, but rather on a day without a storm in the forecast so we can enjoy more of the outdoors.
We stopped here for some well needed R&R. I’d like to preface by saying we went on a Saturday evening. First, I will say they do have a lot of parking and also valet parking (paid). So don’t fret on not being able to find a spot, but be prepared if it’s a weekend that you will have to park a bit far most likely. Second, the tables fill up quick and it takes a long while to get seated. We were able to get a drink but the bar itself was completely full outside. They do live music but you can hear the music from the parking lot more. People literally park their car in the parking lot and blast music from their trunks, so be aware. We liked the restaurant itself and the staff is very friendly! We finally got a table outside and it takes about an hour from once you are seated to order and get your food. Our queso dip was cold, but our server was very nice about it and got us a new one. Honestly the food was good, the views were even better, and the staff made up for the wait time. I would recommend making reservations here if you can (and they allow that). Great place to chill but again, just be aware if it’s the weekend and plan accordingly!
Beautiful location! Good food... Service is also kinda good, they need to pay a little more attention to cleanliness! We were a large group, here for lunch and were seated at a table (joined tables) that had a lot of crumbs in between the gaps, gross... We were moved to a cleaner table on being notified about the crumbs.... Our server was the quiet type, she just took our orders and served them to us without small talk/conversations. Efficient, just not conversational or friendly. Our table opted for a variety of dishes and they were all good. The raw oysters, Rockefeller, crab cakes and mahi nuggets were the favorites across the table. The sandwiches and tacos were also great! The blackened grouper was a little too white and not 'blackened' enough! All else was great! The view of the bay is unbeatable!! We were here during lunch, I'm sure the views during sunset would be spectacular! Looking forward to revisit during the evening hours.
Always beautiful views.. great place to wait for airport pick up or drop off, 6 minutes to arrivals or departures. Solid drinks, food was not very good. Service can vary, we always valet park, its the easiest!
Loved the clean restaurant, the wait time to be seated, the music and ambiance, most of the food and pricing was fair. The timing of the food to arrive was also good. There was one plate we didn't like in particular after trying the first bite. So we told the waiter about it, and she simply looked at us like "oh well deal with it". I was expecting it for her to offer a different dish, or offer a discount for not eating it, or even give a discount coupon inviting us to come again next time. Oh also, no napkins or plates were brought out to eat the tacos; which were messy because of the delicious sauce. Will come again but hoping to get better service.
Food and atmosphere are great! Good portions & tasty. Beautiful views and a true beach vibe. Service is extremely slow. Ive been 3 times and never had a server great my table in less than 13 minutes despite making eye contact and saying hi. Takes forever to get anything - so dont go hungry or expecting prompt attention in the restaurant.
We asked for a window table when we were seated so we could watch the sunset, but the hostess let us know the nearby tables were reserved. About an hour later, one of those tables was seated, but the other remained empty the entire time, which was very disappointing. We ordered the gator nuggets and fried pickles as appetizers — they were just okay, nothing that really stood out. For my meal, I had the pork tacos with sweet potato fries. The tacos were good and flavorful, but the fries were overcooked and not very enjoyable. The tacos were also packed pretty full, so I was only able to eat one. Overall, we didn’t have the experience we hoped for and the food felt a bit mediocre for the price.
I was a little underwhelmed by the view at first, but during low tide it felt more gloomy than relaxing. I later discovered there’s another side with a livelier atmosphere, which I’d check out next time. Food-wise, the beef sliders were good but nothing spectacular. I love oysters, but these were just okay. The oysters really needed the horseradish, lemon juice, and salsa to make them worthwhile. Service was on the slow side for a Friday afternoon, even with plenty of empty seats, and we never got the table we originally requested so ended up at the bar instead. On the positive side, my spicy margarita was delicious, and I’m a sucker for a good spicy margarita 🥵🌶️🍹
Maybe it was an odd day, but when we arrived before sunset on a nice warm day they refused to sit us on the patio. After seating the next several tables outside, we convinced our server to move us. I’m glad we did because the view of sunset was the highlight. They had nice happy hour specials with cheap oysters. The drink menu was large but your pretty typical beach drinks. Dinner food was good, but would return for the view.
So I give it 3 stars because of the scenery and the staff was pleasant! But as far as the drinks, it’s Valentine’s Day and they had a berry love drink (special for the holiday)or something like that, when I tell you I was disappointed when she brought the drink out 🤦🏽♀️ like when I tell you it was $14 and it was in a very thin wine glass (like enough for a child in my opinion) that should’ve been put in the description because I was shocked. And it wasn’t a good drink either so that was the first red flag for me! Then we ordered the gator bites which were $19 which had a really good flavor, just maybe was fried a little too long because it was chewy, most gator bites that I order in other places are always fried to perfection making it not chewy at all but to each its own. The only good thing we ordered in my opinion. Then my boyfriend ordered the grouper that came with rice beans, sweet plaintains and mango pineapple salsa ($30)I just feel like for the price it should’ve been seasoned better and tasted better in my opinion, the flavors just were not there !! Then I ordered the Cajun seafood pasta ($28) which tasted like they only put Cajun seasoning, no salt no pepper or anything!! Which I ordered extra Cajun seasoning which I think went over their heads because it wasn’t any extra seasonings. Overall by the end of the night I was blowed and ready to go! Lovely staff tho!! Just won’t go back. over priced and underserved!
Very new to the Tampa area and have passed by many times– Finally had some company come in and thought that would be a cool place to take them. Boy was I wrong. From the moment of walking in and being turned around, not knowing where the hostess stand was asking where to be seated and being looked at like we were aliens. Once we did get sat it was at a dirty table Top in the bar. waitress did finally come after about 10 minutes Looked to be fully staffed not overcrowded. We walked in around 7PM. Establishment did not close until 11 after a good 15 minutes of being there we did finally order our food. Continue to wait another 45 minutes waitress may have came by the table, a timer two and continued to say food was on its way When we did get our food we had no utensils or napkins. She had walked away so yet again, we had to stand up and get the attention of someone. No one came to check to see how our food was, which was halfway decent now as far as seafood you would have expected a better Quality in size on the muscles and scallops, but the shrimp were very good. We continue to enjoy our company finished up and need togo boxes walked up to the bar that we were sat right behind grabbed our own boxes. Continue to stand so maybe we would grab the attention of the server After her circling the bar multiple times and helping other people she came and said is there anything else I can get for y’all and we were like yes we would like drinks and our check -again for what we got Pricing was decent but service was horrible. Even the manager was walking around giving away free beer, but not asking the people who needed help standing up at their table For anything. We just felt there should have been better table attendance for the amount of servers that were in the place.
This place could be a gold mine, but we ran into a small problem. This place wasn’t staffed properly. The place was packed and they only had a handful of people. Plus we made the mistake of going to the bar area. The outdoor sandbar had one bartender. This one bartender was trying to take orders for food and drinks with no wait staff 100 plus people. We literally waited for two hours for our food. My wife had to sit at the bar and beg them to bring it out. We ordered gator bites, firecracker, shrimp, and french fries we never got the french fries we never got our sides ranch and all that stuff. My wife and I each had a margarita. The tab came out to $80 plus tip +7 dollars per valet parking because there was nowhere else to park.
The food was good but I got there at 7 pm and the men's bathrooms were so bad I couldn't use them. I told the bar tender and he just kind of laughed then 45 minutes later it still wasn't cleaned so I notified a manager and just before I left at 10pm the bathrooms still hadn't been cleaned. Sorry about the photos but if you'd like to be able to use the bathrooms at the restaurant you may want to pick a different restaurant.
I visited Whiskey Joe’s in Tampa around 3:15 in the afternoon and it took about 30 minutes for me to receive my drink. My appetizer took over an hour to come out. The server was genuinely friendly and did her best, so I don’t blame her at all. It really felt like the restaurant was understaffed and she was stretched thin, which led to long gaps between check-ins. When it came time to pay, the handheld payment devices kept malfunctioning and she had to switch equipment multiple times just to process the transaction. The location itself is beautiful with great views and a fun atmosphere, but the experience really depends on how much time you have. If you plan to relax and are in no rush, you might enjoy it more. If you’re expecting faster service, this may not be the best fit. The pricing felt a bit high as well. For example, I paid about $38 for one order of calamari and a piña colada. Because the staff was so busy, tables weren’t always cleared right away, which led to birds landing and eating leftovers at nearby tables. It was distracting and definitely took away from the experience. Overall, the staff was kind and the setting is great, but the long wait times, equipment issues, and slow table turnover made the visit less enjoyable. With better staffing and management support, Whiskey Joe’s could really live up to its potential.
The atmosphere at this venue is genuinely enjoyable, and the loaded fries were outstanding—easily the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The patio was staffed by a single bartender who was expected to both craft drinks and serve tables, while four bartenders remained inside. This uneven staffing created a noticeable bottleneck outdoors, resulting in long waits and a sense of neglect for patio guests. The frozen drinks were another disappointment. They were poorly portioned, with excessive ice diluting the flavor and strength. Even more concerning, leftover mix in the blender was routinely discarded—wasting liquor and shortchanging customers who received watered-down drinks that didn’t reflect what they paid for. This establishment has a great vibe and real potential, but the operational setup—especially staffing distribution and drink preparation—needs serious attention. With a few key adjustments, it could easily elevate from good to exceptional.
The view is excellent, the drinks are good, but the place needs to be cleaned up. The tables were dirty when we sat down. They need to be wiped up cleaner and the seats wiped off and not the food brushed off the table onto the chairs. The bathrooms need a bleaching. Ceiling tiles are nasty and falling apart and the faucets and the sink and soap dispenser need to be replaced. The whole idea is to wash your hands and the employee wash your hands to keep the place clean. The sweet potato fries with the pork and nachos were cold and the pork was very fatty chunks in there.
3pm on a Monday wasn't slamed. Was seated at an inside tabke. Which was ok because it was breezy outside. Waited for approximately 10 minutes before anyone showed up. And that was the bartender. Ordered drinks got those in about 5 minutes. Looked at my glass it was extremely dirty with something brown caked inside. Delivered back to bar. Got another drink. Waited for server never came. Walked up to a server standing at the bar. Told her we'd like to order. She ask me what I was thinking? I told her I was thinking you could come to our table and take our order. She finally showed. I ordered fish tacos and my wife ordered the shrimp tacos. And we waited. Finally arrived COLD. Server never came back to table. Had to go to bar again to get the check?? Just a bad experience. Now I've been there twice 1st and last. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
Came at 3pm on a Thursday as a solo diner, was seated right away, but took over 30 min to get my order after I asked another server if he was the server for my table. No one knew who my server was so someone else took my order. Ordered fish tacos and water, fish was ok, salsa was good. Took over 30 min to get my check after I had asked another server if she could ask my server for the check. Only saw my server when she brought me the food and gave me my check. I paid for 2 hr parking so I could eat a quick meal and chill at the beach after, but everything took so long that my parking was near expired when I finally left. The views and location is definitely the only plus.
Was told we had a 1 hour wait. Went in at some point and was acknowledged by the hostess that we were at 38 mins and were told 1 hour. No problem. Went back in at the 1 hour mark and she couldn’t find my name in the system. She sat us anyways. (Plenty of open tables). When the waitress came to greet us she let us know the kitchen was running 1 hour plus on food. That information should have been shared when we were told it would be a 1 hour wait to be seated.
Eating here felt like being in an episode of restaurant rescue. I’ve honestly never in my life been to an establishment where every single employee was so wildly rude, uninterested, and outwardly frustrated. Even towards other patrons. Parking was $7, server gave absolutely no service, and food was WAY overpriced for the quality. We ordered a plate of nachos and something from the kids menu for our son and it was a 35+ min wait. Also, during that time we never saw our server. Those two items + a kids apple juice were $30…before tip. The nachos had thick and gloopy stadium level cheese, a few toppings (beans on it tasted old, like they’d be sitting out for days), and overall super lame. We were so annoyed and off put by the overall vibe (restaurant had a tense / miserable feeling) we ended up deciding against food and just cashing out. Multiple tables around us livid and looking frustrated by their experience as well. I was going to just ask the server to throw out our order and let us get out of there (seriously, everyone working there was insanely rude) but she never came back until we were ready to leave an hour later. I got snipped at by a hostess because my toddler was apparently in her way for 3 seconds. She threw her hands up and was making faces like an edgy teenager out of annoyance because we were in her chosen path and I caught her. When called out, she tried to play it off. Several other patrons saw what she did as well. The table next to us must have encountered an issue as well as they were upset and had to speak with the manager and wouldn’t even touch their food. The table next to them was a group that had to ask for their food to be boxed because it had taken so long they were going to miss an event they were trying to get to, even though they’d clearly been there long before we got there. It was a table of 6…not 16. Long waits / flustered staff might be more understandable if it was packed and the kitchen was behind but there were a dozen tables empty in our section and seemed to be a large server to table ratio. It was also a beautiful Saturday, so expect more customers at a bayside view restaurant? I’ve never been to a restaurant I’ve felt should probably just close and try again with new management & staff but I hate to see such a prime waterfront establishment occupied by what might be my least favorite restaurant I’ve been to. Between the bill and parking + tip, we PAID just shy of $40 to basically eat cruddy nachos and be treated like absolute crud.
