I hv been there a few times and i love the food and service.. Muy bueno
Wonderful food and Great hospitality. We, as a family enjoyed our visit. They make everything from scratch. My favorite was the homeade corn tortillas and authentic Mexican Carnita 🌮
Wonderful food wonderful people and wonderful music. I will be back for sure. Best restaurant I have been to in a long time
We do not live locally. We came to La Cascada for lunch and it was great. It was so great that we came back the next day. It was even better the second time! Utterly fantastic!
Authentic! Friendly staff to assist with a unique menu. Enjoyed the Mexican Steak along with their amazing guacamole. Stay for pool!
Best Mexican restaurant around. Favorite dishes are enchiladas de pollo con salsa Verde and camarones a la cascada. Food is made my Tony's family. Fresh ingredients homemade salsa and billiards. Reasonable prices. Estella is #1 waitress. Fast service. Eat there at least once a week!
A must eat if you are in the area. Authentic Mexican food and the staff is friendly, even to a gringa! If you don't know what to order, order the Camarones a la cascada. You won't be disappointed!
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I absolutely would, the best authentic Mexican food in Tampa bar none. The lengua tacos will change your life, and Tony is the kindest owner and will take amazing care of you, give this place a shot and you will not be disappointed
Great people. Quick service..... great pricing. The owner (man) was great first time there yesterday ordered 2 beef fajitas chips salsa omg. Homemade salsa was deliciouso.... muy bien muy bien 👏 👌 perfect 🥰 Renea'
Genuine Mexican food cooked correctly. The building is a dilapidated but that only adds to the charm. The staff were very friendly and courteous and the prices were reasonable. Don't come here expecting a sanitized chain restaurant experience, expect an authentic experience!
This place is truly an authentic Mexican restaurant. Everything tastes fresh and so good. The owner is a sweet man. Fast service! I highly recommend this place!
I ordered the Caldo de Pollo and it was absolutely delicious. The quantity was more than plentiful and the service was top notch Great family environment and Great food.
We're definitely going back. Good food and fast, friendly service.
A must stop when you're in a mood for Mexican food in West NW Tampa. Love the food and friendly staff! Tony and his staff are the best! Outstanding service all around.
Great food good prices, smiling happy staff. One of the best in Tampa, possibly the best chivo I've had in years.
Great food for an amazing price! Great portions of food. I ordered 2 plates and within 5 mins I had my food nice and hot at my table.
Excellent selection of Mexican food. Staff was friendly and helpful even though we did not speak the same language. Atmosphere is casual and welcoming. There is a pool table in the back. Chicken fajitas were amazing. Rice and beans were delicious. I would love to come back here and try some of their other dishes.
If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food that tastes like it came straight from Mexico, this is the place! Every dish is full of flavor, fresh, and made with so much love that you can taste it in every bite. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the owner is truly an amazing human being—warm, kind, and genuinely cares about every customer’s experience. You don’t just come here to eat, you come here to feel at home. Highly recommend!
Me and my friend were driving around looking for a restaurant to get some food after visiting the zoo of Tampa. Since, me and my partner did not speak Spanish, our waitress, unfortunately, was not that helpful. But she definitely understood the common request for normal dining. We ended up speaking with the owner who was our main point of contact since he spoke English. He was truly so HELPFUL and ACCOMMODATING regarding my vegetarian diet. He fully understood and calm, my nerves, ensuring that my dish was fully vegetarian. My partner was not vegetarian so, she didn't care. But all in all, the food and service is extremely good and would recommend this place after a fun activity or sporting event just like what we did. Thank you to the owner as I already recommended this place to my friends and family.
I must say this was my first time stopping into this resteraunt. Something in my brain told me to come and I did, I was not disappointed the food is seasoned so well with huge portions and fare prices. Tony and his staff was so nice and inviting. I love the fact that the menu was in Spanish and English so I could read it and Tony helped with translation.. best top shelf tequila.. can’t wait to come back
We ordered tostadas and the chimichanga with fresh juice and they were delicious!! Complimentary chips and their homemade variation of sauce (it’s not salsa but still really delicious!). We even played a round of pool after lunch. Love this quaint, hidden gem!
Really good food , quaint , clean, really nice staff , a little hidden gem !
Food was excellent and served promptly. Our server Naomi was very nice and helpful.

I had a fantastic experience at La Cascada Restaurante in Tampa! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was just as impressive. They serve the best michelada I’ve ever had — perfectly balanced and incredibly refreshing. The owner was there during my visit and was extremely courteous. He even helped translate my order to the waitress, who brought everything out promptly. You can truly tell he cares about the quality of the food and the overall experience of his guests. I don’t live on this side of town, but if I’m ever back in the area, I will definitely be a repeat customer. I was in a bit of a hurry this time, so I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more items on the menu!
Ordered by Internet and the process was easy. The food was ready at the time stated. The order was easy to track. Best tacos in Tampa!
When I come here the owner makes me feel at home. The food is always amazing. I never tried anything I didn't like. I love this place and again the food is amazing and I'm picky and they never mess up. I LOVE THIS PLACE! My family loves this place as well.
I travel around the world very frequently, and I have had Mexican food in many different countries including Mexico, Canada and all over the United States, sometime at fine high priced establishments and some smaller around the mill mom and pop places. The place is in a older strip center but the food great and service was friendly. I was I little full before I went so I did not finish my meal, the gentlemen ( I believe he is the owner) came over to make sure I wasn't having and issue with the food quantity or service, this show that they are committed to excellence. This was great experience , I would recommend this place, even to the most discriminating foodies.
Loved it! Food came out very fast and hot. Friendly staff and clean place. Didn't have pictures of their food but big enough portions to feed 2 people. Worth the money. Will go again.
Food is absolutely fresh, flavorful and cooked to perfection. The best tacos in Tampa. Excellent price, can feed the whole family without hurting the wallet. They have beer, pool tables, good staff, and is family owned! 👪 support this business and keep the culture alive.
My fajitas were delicious and there was a lot to eat. Just know this, if you are wanting queso, they do not offer queso at all. Also, the chips and salsa are approximately $3. Best restaurant is very similar to restaurants you would find in Cozumel which are truly mexican. No queso and the sodas came by bottles. The servers on hand do not speak English at all but the gentleman at the front desk could not have been any more pleasant to deal with and he spoke english.

I must say that this place is amazing. It is obvious it is going to be a great place from the second you walk in. The staff is friendly and add to the feel (they hardly speak a lick of english). The best part is the food though! OMG it is wonderful!
The tacos I had(Mexican style asada) were fantastic. The chips were stale. I'll come again when I'm in the area for more authentic tasty tacos for sure.
Found this by accident and glad I did. Very authentic food and servers. I had potato and chorizo tacos, they were excellent. All the food was fresh. My daughter had vegetables quesadilla, also good. My other daughter had chicken tacos that she raved about. The decor is family style but the food is great.
If you are nearby do stop there for a meal. Authentic. Wonderfully spiced salsa to go with chips. Service excellent. Only had a lite meal of carnitas tostadas but was very nice. Will definitely return !!
The owner or manager came over and made sure everything was good. Also our waitress was very nice and fast. Didn't feel rushed. Food was pretty good!
An authentic and excellent blue-collar Mexican dining experience. There's no pretensions to this place, just great inexpensive food and a staff that aims to please.

The food was pretty good. Stopped for a quick lunch and had two chicken soft tacos, American style - great flavors. But don't expect much in the way of atmosphere as the building is old. After being seated, it appears they forgot about me and I was one of three people there at lunch. I was only going to give 3 stars but the owner came over to check on me and apologized for the server not coming over right away. So they get four stars.

The Caldo de Rez (Beef stew)was good and tasty, but the rice was served cold and not tasty at all. The "salsa" was a mix between probably tapatío and something else, would recommend some fresh salsa to accompany the stew. Had the works with it, onions, lime and cilantro, which helped. The tortillas seemed home made but also a little cold. The place has potential. The menu had a QR code which helped a lot. Over all the place is good for a quick bite and prices are reasonable.
The food is mediocre but not bad. Service is not the best, but it was okay.

Stale chips and the “fresh” guacamole was dark and bland which means it was sitting for a while. Restaurant can be a hole in the wall for all I care, but the food better be good and fresh. The burrito was reheated in the microwave, it was still steaming all thru dinner lol
If you look at what you get for food, it is very over priced. My wife notice the yellow rice was two shades of color, she if from Colombia and says that is a 'sign' that they take rice that was served and then wash/rinse it off and re-serve the rice to another customer. She got rice/beans/chicken. $.50 of rice, $.50 of beans, $1.50 chicken at the grocery store, but her plate was $15!!!! Mine was a mix of chopped meat/onion/bell pepper stir fried together, about $4 worth of food, but the plate was $25!!! Food very overprice for what you get.
The food didn't taste right. It was obvious my steak burrito was microwaved and the rice looked soggy. The chips were stale and the waitress was looking at me with a hard stare. Was constantly checking on me but not in the nice way. I didn't finished my meal. Definitely not coming back.
I typically don’t write reviews unless I’m very impressed or extremely disappointed....I am definitely disappointed. I’m very open when trying new places and gave this place a chance. First thing was walking in and feeling very uncomfortable. I’m Puerto Rican and my boyfriend is white and everyone stared at us and continued to stare during our time and made it very awkward for him. No one came up to us to get seated and the waitress that sat us didn’t communicate anything or say anything to us really and we basically had to figure out quickly what we wanted. No guacamole even though it was on their menu and website and the waitress couldn’t even understand what fajitas were. Chips were over cooked and the salsa was bland and too spicy. I got the chicken burrito and it was overwhelming with sour cream and it was lukewarm and the meat was cold. We got water and never was checked on for a refill. You know it’s bad when you see a customer eating the ice and you don’t do anything. Tracked her down from talking to everyone else in the restaurant for the check, paid and left just to go to Taco Bell and at least get better food and service than this place. Never coming back again.
this was my first time coming here, I was in the area so i decided to give this place a try. The food wasn’t as i expected it’s not authentic mexican food. the service was awful and i would check your bill twice they try to scam you. The owner try to charge you $14 taxes. I told him to recheck my bill because it wasn’t right he was rude about it. not coming to this place ever again. worst place to come and eat
I have never written a bad review, until today. Avoid this place at all costs. If you value your health do not eat here. I was served old rancid meat in my chimichanga. It smelled so bad there was no doubt the cooks knew it was bad. Stay clear of this place
Sorry but this is not Mexican food. I come from Texas and this food is horrible. I order Jamaica and was overdue 😩 , then I ordered milanesa de res and was nasty, small piece of beef with some vegetables and a cup of rice. First time and I never plan to go back again. Sorry.
DO NOT EAT HERE! I have never taken the time to write a bad review before... but I feel the need to warn people. The service was horrible (the waitress didn't smile, wouldn't answer questions, etc). We ordered ceviche and Steak Burritos. The ceviche was not traditional "white meat fish"... it was sardines or greenbacks for all I know! You could see the entire filet of the small "fishy" tasting fish. It was funky. Then we got the burritos... the first three bites weren't so bad.. then I bit into the meat. It was RANCID! It had the most foul taste- I literally threw it up in my napkin. I was hoping it was just that one bite so I took another... same thing. I couldn't even swallow it. I have NEVER EVER had a gag reflex to ANYTHING I have ever bit into. I love all foods... this was nauseating. I clearly couldn't finish the meal and was ready to go. Not to mention my water wasn't filled once after the initial conversation. It took us 20 minutes to get her attention for our check when there was only three tables including ours, sat in the whole restaurant. There's a place a few blocks south that actually has fresh meat and fish for the same prices. I will never eat here again. I don't know if I can even have a steak burrito again....
THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING. They are super cheap about giving sauces the waiters are sweating everywhere because there’s absolutely no ac. Smh I will never spend another dime here again. I hope they close !
Read reviews before coming here and Apparently they are paying people to write positive reviews. First bad sign.. almost 5:30pm and No one there. Interior seemed clean but chipped paint dust and dated worn interior made it feel unclean. Waitress didnt speak english so we used our choppy Spanish and got what we ordered. Chimichangas. Cheese on top obviously microwaved on top, was surprised to see tomato and lettuce had been deep fried inside the changa. There was hardly any chicken inside and the whole thing had zero flavor, a little salt and cilantro would have done a lot. We ate maybe 3 bites and could not finish. Whole experience very unappetizing. Paid over $30. Won’t be back.

The owner of this restaurant is a complete waste of human life. Also a horrible landlord. He treats people according to the way he feels just by their appearance. I use to own a barbershop next door and seems like the years have been really bad to him. Quality of food has gone down the drain. A complete failure to Mexican food.
