Opinions de Oak & Ola Tampa
We checked out Oak & Ola few days ago and wow, what a delicious meal! Restaurant is inside the Armature Works. Just FYI – you might have to pay for the parking though. Try parking on the street instead of grass parking lot in the front. It’s cheaper. I had salmon dish and it was cooked to perfection - moist and flaky without being too rare. The artichoke hearts and dill were a nice touch too. The snapper was just as good as well. You could tell the fish was super fresh. For dessert, we had English Toffee Cake and it was crazy good. I think everyone should try it. We also had Pineapple-Coconut drink and Raspberry – Pomegranate drink. Both of the drinks were very delicious. Our server was really helpful since my friends and I had no clue what to order. He gave us his honest opinion on what was best and totally nailed it. The vibe at Oak & Ola is really nice too - definitely has that rustic but classy feel. We will for sure be coming back here soon. Two thumbs up from me!
We came to dinner at Oak and Ola last night. Our waiter, Marcus, was amazing. He was so passionate and caring about his job! He recommended the ‘Arancini’ appetizer which were fried risotto balls with taleggio, pear compote, basil pistou, and parmiagianno. It was salty and sweet, so delicious. We ordered their ‘Gulf Fish Amadine’ and ‘Pork Tenderloin’ for our entrees. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, they were cooked perfectly and so flavorful. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere of Armature Works. This is a great spot for a nice lunch or dinner. The one negative, was the bathroom, for such a high end restaurant the restroom was dirty and unpleasant. I’d definitely recommend making sure it’s consistently clean. Instagram: @living.with.reg
Oak & Ola in Tampa is like a love letter to taste buds. Every dish was a masterpiece — beautifully plated and bursting with flavors that made me want to high-five the chef. The food was so good, I briefly considered moving in. Each bite was better than the last, like a symphony of flavors playing just for me. And while the food stole the show, the service didn’t miss a beat Owen was great in ever recommendation. All in all, if you’re looking for a meal that makes you question every other dining choice you’ve ever made — this is the place. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!
Had a 5pm reservation and we opted to sit at the outside tables as there was a slight breeze in the air, not too hot. Our server, Destiny, was incredibly knowledgeable on all dishes with personal recommendations. She is what servers should strive to be like. Just a positive, upbeat attitude and making sure her customers are having an unforgettable experience. Now for the food. The top 3 sections of the menu are considered appetizers. But we tried the seared pork belly, octopus, braised lamb on pita, and charcuterie board (meat and cheese). All were amazing! Some of the entrees at our table were the pork chop, gulf fish, burger, and Chicken Marsala. My favorite out of all was actually the pork chop. Not many people cook pork chops correctly (usually overcooked), but this was cooked to PERFECTION. Juicy inside and well seasoned. One of the best tasting chops I've ever had, hands down. Lastly, all of us were stuffed but we insisted on trying the toffee cake. Let me tell you, this was the highlight of my experience here. I should've started with that then had my appetizers/entree. The whole table raved. Please do yourself a favor and make sure to try this delicious bite. The warm, flavorful bite of cake punches you with immediate happiness. The side of vanilla bean ice cream we ordered perfectly complemented the warm cake. Then you spoon over a bit of that toffee sauce on the plate and it's really the most perfect dessert bite you will ever have. We are still talking about this cake btw. Lol
A luxury experience for a special occasion, girls night, or date night. We had the scallop special to start and were immedietely impressed by the large potions and creative flavors. Our server, Owen, recommend two awesome cocktails based on our liquor preferences. The roasted octopus was divine! A must order! The sticky toffee pudding rivals Gordon Ramsay's recipe. The whipped cream alone was speckled with vanilla flecks and very special. The setting is low-light and very sexy. I would recommend this restaurant to all except the hearing impaied... it was super loud and the 25-ft ceilings amplified the echoing conversations. We will be back. Tip: if you have Amex, reserve your table with Resy for a statement credit.
Oak & Ola: Elevated Flavor in the Heart of Tampa Heights Tampa has no shortage of great restaurants, but Oak & Ola — tucked into the buzzing Armature Works in Tampa Heights — genuinely surprised me. With its moody, European-inspired interior and chef-driven menu, this place delivers not only on atmosphere, but on flavor in a big way. I tried two standout entrées: the maple-smoked pork chop and the salmon. Both were incredible — well-executed, beautifully presented, and packed with unique flavors that showed real culinary creativity. The pork chop was a 12-ounce maple-smoked cut, juicy and tender with just the right amount of char. It came with a crispy German-style potato pavé, grilled stone fruit chutney, haricot verts, and a tangy whole grain mustard reduction that tied everything together. The sweet, smoky, and savory layers played off each other perfectly. It felt rustic and refined at the same time — the kind of dish you remember. Then came the salmon — equally impressive. Light, flaky, and cooked with precision. The seasoning was bold but balanced, and the sides (I believe a mix of seasonal vegetables and a buttery sauce) elevated the entire plate. It wasn’t your average salmon dish — it had character, elegance, and warmth. What stood out most was the diversity of flavors on both plates. Everything had intention. It wasn’t just good — it was smart cooking. I’d give the food a solid 8/10 for both flavor and creativity. Each bite felt like it had a story. Service was great, and the ambiance is ideal whether you’re on a date night or just catching up with friends over wine and a good meal. Bottom line: Oak & Ola is the kind of place that reminds you why you go out to eat — not just to fill up, but to enjoy something thoughtfully made. I’ll definitely be back.
Oak & Ola in Tampa exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the chic yet cozy ambiance. The menu is a true culinary masterpiece, offering a creative fusion of flavors that delighted my taste buds. Each dish was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with freshness. The staff's attention to detail and genuine passion for their craft shone through in every interaction. I was impressed by their extensive knowledge of the menu and their willingness to accommodate dietary preferences. The carefully curated wine list perfectly complemented the meal. Whether it's a special occasion or a casual outing, Oak & Ola provides an exceptional dining experience that lingers long after the last bite. I can't wait to return and explore more of their culinary wonders!
I’ve eaten at Oak and Ola multiple times because the location is so great and the atmosphere is so cozy. I’ve had Johnny as my server a few times and he’s awesome! He has great menu knowledge and makes great recommendations he also makes a mean cappuccino😋☕️ I like to try something new on the menu everytime I go with everything being so yummy. Last time I went was for brunch and I got the chicken salad sandwhich which was soooo delicious!! If you’re going to get dessert you have to try the toffee cake!
Everything was amazing the food, the service and the atmosphere. Our server Josh provided an outstanding service and was very attentive. Also his recommendations were amazing. Definitely a place to visit and you won’t regret it.
Another excellent dinner at Oak & Ola. We began with the Spanish Meatball appetizer followed by the Gulf Fish Almondine (catch of the day was Snapper) for each of us, delicious!! Our server, Jackie, was awesome, keeping our water and wine glasses full, as well as recommending a terrific dessert choice, the English Toffee Cake, also delicious. At this point the manager, Chris, came by to ensure everything was perfect with our dinner. Thank you for the great experience and, Yes, our dinner was perfect!
Wonderful! This place has such a nice atmosphere. I enjoyed eating dinner as the sun set and admired how nice the interior became as it got dark out. It feels so cozy and intimate. I love the lighting with the wall sconces. We were seated at a cozy little table with an armchair for seating. So cute. I got the gulf fish which was a red snapper. It was delicious. It's served with crispy scales over green beans. The green beans had slightly too much of a raw edge of them for me- they were probably seconds away from perfection. But overall I loved the dish. Amazing flavor but it felt light. My husband got the sausage pasta and I'll be thinking about it for weeks. Wonderfully intense pesto flavor, amazing sausage crumbles with lots of fennel, flavorful tomato bites, topped with parmesan and pine nuts. It was just so good. I kept licking the bowl. We loved the brussel sprouts and olives as well! Service was excellent and we can't wait to try more of the menu.
This place is absolutely amazing. I felt totally lucky to stumble across his place while I was in Tampa going to a concert I got to my venue, googled restaurants near me the reviews and the pictures on this place looked absolutely enticing to me so we went It was less than a mile from the venue And to my surprise this was on the Riverwalk in Tampa and a very, very highly patronized area with a lot of restaurants and a lot of entertainment going on around the area. This is inside an old trolley ticket station so it’s very very cool high ceilings industrial ceiling. our waiter was amazing. The guy knew the menu inside out knew the feature for the night recommended drinks they have Features here that are all geared around brown butter from the brown butter old-fashioned that I actually did have and it was absolutely delicious probably one of the best old-fashioned I’ve ever had to the featured almondine seared snapper dish again in brown butter literally the best snap I’ve ever had hands-down the appetizers to see pork belly, Spanish meatballs, and then the other entrée in my party was the chicken marsala, which again was absolutely divine. I had a small taste, and again it was just a different different of the dish that I’ve ever seen, just as the pork belly was a different rendition from others I’ve tried, but it was just absolutely amazing. I mean this place was incredible. I would recommend this in a heartbeat without hesitation to anybody that is looking to try a new place. The menu is not large, but they have enough offerings to suit any pallet.
Beautiful restaurant located in Armature works. Their food is delicious and presentation is amazing. I will have to say they had the most delicious pork chop I have ever had in my life, and it’s hefty too. Their roasted carrot appetizer is always a favorite. The mussel special they had was a bit underwhelming but everything else could stand on their own. Their drink selection is nice as well. We were definitely too full for dessert afterwards. Whether sitting inside or outside, there is a romantic appeal. Since we came without a reservation, indoor seating would’ve taken over a 45min wait, immediate seating was available outdoors, and they also offered bar seating which at the time did not look available for our party.
Was my first time being a guest at this incredible restaurant tonight and I can’t say enough good things about it - it is an extremely unique experience in all the best ways! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and you can tell it is that way on purpose - you feel like you are at a classy, upscale dining establishment but you don’t feel intimidated in any way because it’s so cozy. Everything is served on these beautiful plates. The food was unbelievable (and I sampled many things at our party’s table… all delicious. The burger was how every restaurant burger should be, the fish was delectable, and the truffle desert was truly out of this world, to name a few!). What really made it special was the service; there was an attention to detail and to the guests I’ve rarely encountered! Multiple servers, managers, and chefs stopped by our table to tell us about the food and I feel like that really enhanced the whole meal (also, our waters were never empty, our table was never messy, and our to-go food was packed in a bag and set discreetly by our chairs). You can tell the staff is cared for and goes above and beyond for guests. I loved it and left feeling deeply satisfied, not just full! Can’t believe I’m a Tampa resident and this is my first time here - will be recommending it to everyone!
Oak & Ola has been our list for a long time; however, recently went for the first with our best friends and was a truly amazing experience. We typically go to Armature Works during the day so this was one of our first night time experiences and the atmosphere was so cool. The restaurant itself is full of texture and such a neat aesthetic for date night or even larger groups. Moving on to the food, an absolute culinary experience. Literally everything we tried was fantastic from arancini, blue crab and beat salad, charred Brussels sprouts, pizza, to gulf fish amandine. (Our friends had meat dishes that they thoroughly enjoyed). In addition to the food, all of the cocktails were unique and dessert completely satisfies my sweet tooth. We are looking forward to going back and can’t wait to introduce others. Run, don’t walk to Oak & Ola.
Last night we went to Oak and Ola to celebrate the sale of our house. It’s a newer restaurant that is part of the Armature works. We sat outside at a table with comfortable chairs on the patio. It was a nice spot, the weather was comfortable and it wasn’t noisy, but there were lots of people on the grounds and lots of kids running and playing. It’s nice to watch kids having fun. The menu was very eclectic with some Italian some German and some French and American dishes as well as an extensive cocktail and wine list. My wife drank her usual Sparkling Water I drank Luminescence draft beer, delicious. We shared a German sausages as an appetizer served with sauerkraut and mustard, it was delicious then we followed that with two different pizzas so we could share. One of the pizzas had Fig jam as its main ingredient so it was sweet. Interesting. The other was regular meat balls, both were very nice and we cleared our plates. To finish we shared Mousse. Service from Carla was excellent. We had a good time and spent $110 before tip
OAK & OLA at Armature Works is pure magic – elevated Euro-American dining in a stunning, timeless space with river views 🌅🍷. Wood-fired dishes shine: Spanish octopus, snapper amandine, chicken Marsala, hanger steak, or rack of lamb specials – every bite is flavorful and shareable. Creative cocktails (try chef-inspired spritzes), brunch croque monsieur, and desserts like Basque cheesecake are highlights. Servers like Johnny & Stephany are pros – knowledgeable, attentive, no rush. Pro tip: Book via Resy for patio/dog-friendly seats, pair with Heights Market vendors for groups. Date night, brunch, or special occasion perfection! 👌
We had a late brunch on Sunday. The service by Christopher was impeccable. The staff accommodated my husband’s mobility scooter without an issue. The food was amazing. My husband had the salmon hash brown. It comes with two poached eggs, pickled red onion, a wonderful fresh side salad and a dill sauce. He loved it! Highly recommend this dish. I had the Boozy sweet potato hash. Two sunny side up eggs, and the hash had a little kick to it. Again very good. For dessert my husband had the chocolate gelato that came with two sugar cookies and I had the warm toffee cake with vanilla bean gelato. This was recommended to us by Christopher and he was right on the mark. Highly recommend this dessert. I would very much recommend this dining establishment. They have seating inside and out. Beautiful area to explore after eating also.
Wow. Nothing but wow for this place. Fantastic atmosphere with the open space and cushy sofas. Wonderful people serving delicious food. Everything is perfect. I went with a group and was able to try several dishes and I would order them all again. The octopus, sausages, cheese board starters were beautiful. Had the pork chops for entree and it was the best I’ve ever had. Apples on top makes the dish.
Oak & Ola is a great new American restaurant with a nice open patio, the perfect spot for lunch. I ordered the brussel sprouts and fried chicken sandwich which were both really good. Very filling meal. My only complaint about the sandwich was there was too much slaw juice. I’d be back here again! Shoutout to Chrissy for the wonderful service and recommendations!
I love Armature as a whole, but Oak & Ola is my absolute favorite. The dinner last night was simply wonderful. The salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the ratatouille was delicious, and together with the olives and dressing was a great combination. The lamb pita was also incredible - the flavor profiles all worked so beautifully. And the Basque Cheesecake was just the perfect ending to our meal. I’ve been many times and I’ll keep coming back!
Food, service, atmosphere all great! Food came out at a good pace and our waiter was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend the Whipped French Feta as a favorite; the pita chips had the perfect crunch and I loved the addition of pomegranate seeds. The basil pistou also paired well with the Taleggio Arancini. While the flavour of the Charred Brussel sprouts was great, I do wish they were a bit crispier. I would pass on the lamb and pita. Spanish Octopus was cooked well but the chorizo was a little cold and salty for my taste. Recommend the New England Sole as a unique dish.
Loved the European feel of this place. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was superb. We had Johnny & Virginia and they were so attentive and explained the menu well. The food was out of this world, we got the ricotta meatball pizza, stuffed sole, linguine, and lobster ravioli. We’ll be back! Cheers!
I had the pleasure of dining at Oak & Ola and trying several of their dishes, including the Roasted Pepper and Eggplant Zacusca, the Margherita Pizza, Gulf Fish Amandine, the O&O burger, and the Chicken Milanese. What really stood out to me about the chicken Milanese was the sauce paired with the arugula absolutely perfect. The margherita pizza was delightful and savory, while the roasted pepper and eggplant had a very unique flavor; it was crunchy, bold, and pleasantly different. Someone else at our table ordered the O&O Burger and said it was very good the Gulf Fish was okay. On top of the amazing food, our server Carla was fantastic. She was attentive to all her tables, her recommendations were spot on, and her sweet, friendly personality truly elevated the entire dining experience.
We always enjoy our visits to oak and ola. The staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the food is superb. Tonight out server was Dane and he totally added to our evening with lovely conversation and knowledge of the menu
My wife and I had a 9:30 PM reservation and it was the perfect late night date vibe. The ambiance was warm and intimate, with heaters and soft lighting that made it feel special without being overly loud or rushed. We started with the caviar fries and they were unreal. Crispy fries, crème fraîche, and generous caviar. Salty, rich, and perfect to share. My wife had the scallops. Beautiful sear, tender inside, sitting in a flavorful red sauce with spaghetti squash. Light but still filling. I ordered the Spanish fire roasted octopus and it was excellent. Great char, super tender, and packed with flavor. Definitely a standout dish. We shared the sticky toffee for dessert and it was the perfect finish. Warm cake, caramel sauce, and melting vanilla ice cream. You can’t go wrong with that. Great service. Great atmosphere. Great food. 9 out of 10. Highly recommend for a date night in Tampa.
Very nice experience here at the Armature Works area. The filet mignon from the specials menu was very good. As was the salmon and cheese burger from regular menu both of those were nice portions. Travis was our server, he did an excellent job answering questions about menu items and wasn’t afraid to give his opinion. He even brought us sourdough bread upon our request without hesitation. Now it’s time to enjoy the Riverwalk here in Tampa.
We had such a wonderful dining experience at Oak & Ola. From the moment we walked in, the hostess greeted us warmly, and throughout the night the manager also came by to check in, which made the evening feel extra special. Our server, Felix, was outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. He guided us through the menu with great recommendations, and everything we tried was spot on. We started with a couple of appetizers—the olives, the pinchos, and some of the special drinks—which were a great way to begin the night. For dinner, we had the hanger steak and the Spanish octopus, both cooked perfectly and full of flavor. To finish, Felix recommended the Basque cheesecake, and it was the perfect balance—light, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The service and food were equally excellent, and the overall atmosphere made for a memorable evening. Oak & Ola is definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to and recommending to friends.
Everyone around me at my table gave mix reviews on their dish. But they loved my steak lol. We tried each other dishes. My guy enjoyed his pork chop. The pasta Alfredo was okay. The cuterie was over price. They did great on the mix drinks. The servers were sweet. I would return there for their steak actually. It tasted better than the Hard Rock steak 🥩 house actually and it’s cheaper. We loved the sides for the steak also! I returned a few weeks ago, they took my favorite steak dish out. Their new steak dish had no taste and I have no other reason to return honestly. Just for their drinks and views?
Oak and Ola (O&O) accommodated a large party reservation for my husband and me to hold our wedding reception dinner following our ceremony. From start to finish, the staff at O&O was absolutely superb. Our family and friends in attendance have not stopped talking about the quality of the food and drinks, the beautiful atmosphere, and the attentiveness of the bartenders and wait staff. We worked directly with Erin to get everything sorted for our big day and she was nothing short of excellent. We are so thankful for the diligence, communication, attention to detail, support, commitment, and dedication to our day. I cannot recommend O&O enough. If I could give them a 20/10 I would. Everything was absolutely perfect and we are so appreciative!
PHENOMENAL! 10/10!! Food was amazing and atmosphere too! It was a group of 10 of us including two kids (one in a stroller). They were very accommodating with us. I ordered the kids spaghetti and meatballs for my toddler and he ate the entire thing. It was one of the best dishes that we tried. We also ordered the fish which was very good, the ricotta and meatball pizza also excellent, the vodka pasta also good but the meatball pasta was better, and the lamb feta appetizer, which was also delicious. For drinks, I got jiggy with it. It was one of the best drinks I’ve had. Highly recommend will definitely be back !!
Restaurant Review: Oka Ola My boyfriend and I love exploring new restaurants, and Oak and Ola had been on our radar due to its stellar reviews. After dining there, I can confidently say those reviews are spot-on—this place is a true gem. From the moment we walked in, the classy atmosphere and warm, welcoming staff set the tone for a fantastic evening. Johnny, our server during our first visit, was exceptional. He went above and beyond to explain the menu, making every dish sound irresistible. His recommendations, especially the specials, did not disappoint. The food and service were so outstanding that we returned the very next weekend. This time, Stephany was our server, and she was just as attentive and delightful, ensuring every detail was perfect. After dinner, we moved to the bar to explore their drink menu. Dale, the bartender, crafted a phenomenal espresso martini and guided us through their impressive bourbon selection. It was the perfect way to cap off an incredible dining experience. Oak and Ola has quickly become one of our favorite spots, and I highly recommend it for anyone seeking exceptional food, drinks, and service in an elegant setting.
Food was delicious. The steak just melted in my mouth! Expresso martini amazing! Great place for special occasions
Today was our first time here and my boyfriend and I decided on a Valentines Day late lunch instead of being at a restaurant during the craziness of dinner on this holiday. We had an excellent experience on their lovely patio at the Armature Works location. Our server Christopher was pleasant, professional, and had a great tableside manner with us! Their cocktail list is creative and I loved the “Sacred Empress” gin cocktail I ordered. FOOD: We ordered the French Onion soup (delicious and hearty), the Crunch Love Caesar (seems strange to say since it’s a simple plate but the lettuce was so good and fresh and it was well dressed as a salad. I love Caesars and enjoy trying different variations of them), the Spanish octopus (if you like octopus- this is a must try! It had this slightly crisp outside but perfectly tender inside. It tasted fresh and the chorizo, beans, kale and hazelnut vinaigrette all worked together in this dish). I ordered the lobster roll, which had claw and knuckle meat with an Old Bay dijonnaise on a split top roll and again- was nothing over complicated, just simple but delicious! My boyfriend got the roast beef sandwich on a ciabatta which he really liked. The list on their menu local partners where they get their sausage/ breads/ greens etc… and it makes a difference - you can taste it in the dishes! Overall we had a great time and meal & will definitely be coming back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
We made reservations for Sunday brunch at 10:30 on Resy. We initially made it for indoor dining but upon arrival were offered either inside /outside since both were available. It was a beautiful day so we chose outside and it was perfect. There was yoga in the park occurring at the same time and the atmosphere was so nice. Our server was so attentive. She had a great awareness of the menu and describing the options. We had the zucchini bread which was so good and not overly sweet. For our meals we had the BEC croissant, Eggs Benedict, Chorizo gravy and biscuits. They were served with crispy Yukons It was so good. We definitely want to go back and try other menu options (or I’ll just keep getting the bacon egg and cheese croissant ☺️) . We also had cappuccino’s that were very good and came with perfect foam and sugar cubes

We had Everette as our server and he was amazing and so friendly!! The food was unreal. Don’t be afraid to try something new because everything is out of this world. Get the house salad, octopus for the entree and the toffee cake. Trust me.
We had the absolute best New Year’s Eve dinner at Ola & Oak from start to finish. One of the owners was simply amazing. From accommodating our last-minute reservation to personally checking in on us throughout the evening, the hospitality was exceptional. He even offered us a taste of the lobster ravioli, which was absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful touch. Every dish we ordered was outstanding. We had the Gulf fish amandine, salmon, and hanger steak, and each one was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Truly a memorable meal. Our server, Quincy, was top notch. When we asked for recommendations, he did not just list favorites. He gave us a thoughtful tour of the menu, explained the dishes, and helped guide our choices. He was attentive, personable, and made the entire experience feel special. Hands down the best option for our casual but elevated New Year’s Eve dinner. Incredible food, warm hospitality, and excellent service. Adding this to the rotation when we visit Tampa.
Over-the-top service! Highly professional staff, great atmosphere with exceptional food. I was there for a birthday gathering, so I had the opportunity to sample most of the menu options. The steak was a step above Bern's Steakhouse, if that gives you an idea of the quality of food. This is a must-try if you're in the Tampa area. One of the owners, Andy, is hands-on and is there making sure everyone is pleased.
We passed by this place and were beckoned to come in by some friendly staff! We ended up coming back for dinner and were not disappointed. The host made it seem like there were no tables, before giving us only the perfect seat situated next to the boardwalk overlooking the water. It was a quality dining experience through and through. The brussel sprouts came in a HUGE portion, the whipped feta was our favorite, and the chicken milanese was also delicious. Our server was thoughtful and made sure to space out our appetizers and meals. We did try the spanish meatballs and thought they were a little too 'smokey-flavored'. The toffee cakewas delicious (& ginormous)! We don't like spending a lot of money on fancy restaurants, but we were beyond pleased by this experience.
Went to a networking event here and wow, this place was really impressive. First, I love that they were easy to find. Once you park their entrance was close by. Second, the atmosphere was beautiful. They had various types of seating like couches, chairs and bar seats. We sat on the couches and they were so comfy and well kept. Next, the food. They had a grazing table sort of style that had burgers, pizza, meat balls, charcuterie and more. Everything was delicious, we even got to go boxes. Finally HUGE shout-out to the bartenders/wait staff. They were so friendly and anticipated our needs. They were friendly and made excellent drinks. I never want to come to armature works because I always think it's going to be crazy busy and hectic, but this place slowed things down a bit. It was enjoyable and relaxing and not too crowded. I will absolutely come back for a date night. P.s. ask about the 5 elephants hanging on the lights.
Our party of 4 met here tonight and it was an amazing dinner. Josh was our server and my husband and I agreed that he provided one of the top 3 dining experiences that we have ever had. His service was impeccable and every single thing he recommended was amazing. He truly knew the ins and outs of the menu and after only talking to us for a bit was able to make stellar suggestions that had our table raving about how delicious everything was. We started out with the whipped feta, lobster ravioli, and artichokes - it was all good but the whipped feta and lobster ravioli were incredible. No one got the same dinner so between the 4 of us we had the hanger steak with truffle fries, the filet, the pork chop, and the gulf fish which tonight was red snapper. Not a single thing was bad and the upgrade for the truffle fries was worth every cent. The drinks were also outstanding and for those that don’t drink but still want something fun, the bartenders make fantastic NA drinks as well. We ended the meal with dessert and got the toffee cake and affogato, both of which were delicious. Overall we had an incredible meal, but truly what made it stand out was the service. We’ll be back and will certainly be asking to sit with Josh!

OAK & OLA at Armature Works is pure magic – elevated Euro-American dining in a stunning, timeless space with river views 🌅🍷. Wood-fired dishes shine: Spanish octopus, snapper amandine, chicken Marsala, hanger steak, or rack of lamb specials – every bite is flavorful and shareable. Creative cocktails (try chef-inspired spritzes), brunch croque monsieur, and desserts like Basque cheesecake are highlights. Servers like Johnny & Stephany are pros – knowledgeable, attentive, no rush. Pro tip: Book via Resy for patio/dog-friendly seats, pair with Heights Market vendors for groups. Date night, brunch, or special occasion perfection! 👌

What a great atmosphere. The salmon and hanger steak we ordered was simply delicious. Our server was friendly. What a lovely experience.
The service was great. I had the Ginger Sweet Symphony as my drink of the night and it was absolutely spectacular. I love how all the flavors merged with each other. The meatballs (albondigas) were also super tender and flavorful. I also had one of their flatbreads—which was okay definitely not the star of the show but it did taste better the next day with smoked salt and red pepper flakes. The octopus was pretty good, a little charred but I enjoyed what was paired with it more. All in all, I would definitely come back as they have a very interesting menu that really entices my flavor profile.
We came here late on a Sunday night and it felt like we were the only patrons in the entire restaurant. After having a taste of the food however, we were impressed and delighted. The cheese and charcuterie need to be ordered separately which is a little gimmicky, but the honeycomb and fig jam were great accompaniments to this great starter course. The pesto on top of the Burrata was probably the best tasting thing we had. The sausage was a lot of food and it was very assertive and tangy, everything went nicely together and it wasn’t too strongly sausage tasting. The prices are a little steep for the quality, but I presume that’s due to the location being at armature works. Probably the best food you’re going to get inside of armature works.
Came for a dessert and a couple of drinks to end our night out. The drinks were delicious, we tried the Edna and the Child's Play, both were savory and refreshing. We also had a decadent dessert with some delicious vanilla bean ice cream. Not a bad way to end your night. The service was excellent and the staff was taking every precaution during their reopening post pandemic. Came back for dinner and we did enjoy ourselves. Although my wife's salmon was not as savory as my pork chop, we enjoyed our dinner. The carrots were very good, and my wife enjoyed the shaved brussel sprouts. We also tried the mussels, they were just okay, I would have preferred if they came with an abundance of sauce, they missed some flavor. The staff was delightful and so were the drinks, the Florida lager was refreshing!
The place itself it’s beautiful, the woman who receives you at the main door was a little lost but it was fine. I had the pomegranate drink and it was absolutely addictive, I loved it. Regarding the food the frittata was a little disappointing, completely sticked to the bottom and with not a really good flavor. The burger was just fine but the pommes frites didn’t seem to be really homemade. The lobster roll we expected to be hot, and it was a little dry. The best was a brussels sprout dish that I didn’t take picture. But overall is just fine, I would go again just to have the drink.
It was my first time dining here. We moved tables as there seemed to be a problem. The manager, Mark, was amazing. He was gracious and kind. The red snapper was delicious and the toffee pudding was the best ever!! The chairs are not comfortable at all so when I go back I will take a cushion

We visited this amazing restaurant on our first night in Tampa (Jay was our server) and decided to eat here again on our second and last night. Whilst the food was as innovative and delicious as the night before, the service at table 12 was poor. Yes, we were asked about whether the food was good, but otherwise the attention and sincerity that was present on our first visit was sadly lacking; e.g. we were given the check even before asking for it when we still had 1/2 a bottle of wine to drink. Such a shame!

They used to have the Oak & Ola burger and it was perfection. Best burger in town. They changed the menu and their updated burger has heirloom tomatoes. Which is fine. It was good but more messy to eat and greasier than the Oak & Ola burger was. Doesn't measure up to what the Oak & Ola burger was. That all said -----My burger last night had a green tomato on it. I didn't think too much of it until as we left, I started to feel nauseous. Then I woke up in the middle of the night with terrible stomach pains and got really sick. I'm still nauseous and my stomach feels fragile. I researched that raw green tomatoes can give you upset because of some levels of toxins in them. Fried green tomatoes are ok because they're cooked. But the raw green tomato on my burger did me in.
We were visiting Tampa and wanted to try this place. We made a reservation a bit later than our expected arrival time to make sure we were on time. In the end we got there half and hour or so earli…
