Didn't realize we had this gem in our city. We stopped by one evening without a reservation and were greeted by a friendly host staff. From the gate to the food and drinks, it was phenomenal. We started with the bang bang cauliflower and the salt and pepper calamari. One of us is not a fan of calamari but absolutely loved it. Well battered and the sauce that comes with it was phenomenal. One had the Chicken Pad Thai, the other the Chicken Firecracker Curry. Both were delicious, very well seasoned and the flavor palette for both was just top tire. The curry was definitely spicy, so be warned. I can't forget the drinks; we had an espresso martini and a Thai Chili Margarita. Boy oh boy, the margarita was fire, and I would recommend it. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated with an open kitchen concept. Something to note is food comes out as ordered and ready, consider ordering apps first, enjoying for a bit and then place your main meal order. We will be back.

Wagamama Tampa delivers a consistently excellent dining experience. The food is fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared, with bold Asian-inspired dishes that are both comforting and vibrant. The ramen is rich and well-balanced, the stir-fries are perfectly seasoned, and the ingredients taste high quality across the board. Service is efficient, friendly, and attentive without feeling rushed. The staff clearly understands the menu and makes solid recommendations, which enhances the overall experience. The atmosphere is modern, clean, and energetic, making it a great spot for both casual lunches and relaxed dinners. If you are looking for reliable, high-quality Asian cuisine with strong flavors and great execution, Wagamama Tampa is a standout choice. Highly recommended.

Five-star experience all around! This Pan-Asian restaurant in downtown Tampa is a standout. The space is modern, beautifully designed, and you can tell a lot of thought went into the build-out—it’s stylish without feeling overdone. The menu is impressively diverse, and every dish we tried was absolutely phenomenal, both in flavor and presentation. Justin was our server and truly elevated the experience. He was friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and genuinely attentive without being intrusive. Service like that makes a great meal even better. Everything from the atmosphere to the food to the service was top-notch. I would absolutely eat here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Pan-Asian spot downtown.

Wagamama has great Asian inspired dishes, cool cocktails/cocktails, decent sake selection and plenty of seating. Atmosphere is laid back and relaxing. Staff were friendly. The Tokyo fries are a must starter. The ramen, bao buns and curry were also great. Prices are good for the quality, location and experience.

We had the nicest server. The atmosphere was so relaxing. The food was amazing and they had some select items I couldn’t find anywhere else like the crispy rice with ahi tuna. I made a reservation here for valentine’s day…definitely recommend!! The drinks were really good as well. The interior is also aesthetic and good for pics. The prices are also very affordable. Had such a good time overall! Definitely recommend :)

This is my first review ever made and it is because of a well-deserved service! Kudos to Matt who made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in to the restaurant. He's very friendly and accommodating! The service is quick and yet food came out delish! Matt deserves a raise for a job well-done! You could tell that he enjoys his job! :) Looking forward to my next visit!

My friend had been so excited to bring us here and talked it up nonstop, so I finally had to try it and I’m so glad I did! Everything was absolutely delicious. For drinks, my boyfriend and I ordered the orange juice blend with mango and apple, which was super refreshing. We ended up ordering three servings of the chicken gyoza because they were that good—hands down the best I’ve had anywhere. I ordered the steak noodles (I can’t remember the exact name), which had a bit of a kick, and my boyfriend got the chicken version. When the waitress noticed the spice level was a little too much for me, she was incredibly kind and even took $11 off our bill, which we really appreciated. For dessert, I tried the banana katsu. I personally enjoyed the ice cream more than the fried banana, but together it was still very tasty. I would absolutely come back if I’m ever in Tampa again and would highly recommend this place—just be mindful of the spice level!

Love wagamama from the food, music, and drinks. Want to give a shout out to Justin, he’s an amazing bartender! Is able to keep friendly conversation while maintaining the entire bar and drink tickets from his service well. He’s got a great smile and attitude and works well under pressure. He’s the reason I keep coming back! Went in for a quick bite and drinks before a concert awhile back. The yuzu is my favorite cocktail. It’s so light and refreshing. Love the duck bao buns, they’re very delicious. I rarely get duck anywhere but they’re so flavorful and cooked well here. A few friends joined us and one requested a lychee mojito that Justin was able to concoct. Can’t wait to visit and try more of their food!

Got the pork potstickers, pork bags and the steak bulgogi. Thanks to our server, Matt, he made a spicy mayo for the steak and whoa! So good. The portions are great, flavors are fresh. Just wish you all had a place in Cleveland or Pittsburgh! 🤩 Thanks for your help, Matt, everything was great!

First time here. I am super picky eater and was surprised to be delighted. I had curry udon, eggplant shareable, and immunity booster. Everything had perfect amount of flavor. I felt like it was on par with Michelin star restaurant. Highly recommend eating here.

We celebrated our anniversary at Wagamama and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. From the warm welcome to the little thoughtful touches throughout the meal, everything was perfect. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and came out quickly. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer experience — they really made the night memorable.

What an amazing first experience dining at Wagamama Tampa! Our server was very friendly and attentive plus he was very helpful with menu recommendations. And our food was so delicious. We had mushroom and eggplant bao buns, the bang bang cauliflower (the best!), ramen and salmon soba. Our drinks (southside Tokyo and an old fashioned) were delicious and the desserts (fried bananas and matcha cheesecake) were the perfect way to end our meal. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely worth a visit! My husband and I stopped here for lunch after leaving our cruise based out of Tampa.. we were craving something fresh and flavorful. This is exceeded all expectations. I wish we lived in FL to come back and try more menu items. First I want to give Jesse a shoutout for his excellent and swift service. Efficient and great with recommendations. Even gave us a complimentary warm green tea following our meal. We got our orders in a timely manner and refills, etc all on point! I ordered the Szechuan Spicy Ramen, I asked for it extra spicy and as a spice lover it was perfect but not over the top which was so great! It was beyond flavorful and I did not want the bowl to end. Yes- I finished every last drop of my bowl. My Husband got the chicken gyoza ramen and I tried one of the dumplings and it was great! However one of the servers recommended we try them fried next time. But the ramen itself my husband said was so delicious and he also finished his bowl- although he preferred my dish and I gave him some of my broth. As the pork ramen was loaded with more flavor! We both felt amazing after, so satisfied, but yet refreshed. We didn’t feel heavy or weighed down or sluggish. It was the perfect lunch!

Our experience at Wagamama was great overall. We arrived a little early for our reservation, but we’re set as soon as we walked in because they were not very busy. The staff was awesome and gave us many suggestions for our meal. The restaurant has a nice design, but I could imagine if they were busy with lots of people, It probably gets pretty loud. The food was good not awesome but good. We would eat here again, but there are definitely other places we would try first.

It was fine. The restaurant is beautiful, well decorated, and in a great location. The Tokyo fries were the best thing we had. Everything else was average and a little too expensive for what we got. Wagamama was pretty good when we tried it a few weeks ago! The inside is very casual, upbeat, but the seating is very tight and uncomfortable. Most of the seats do not have backs on them and if you get sat in a booth, it is extremely tight. They tried to sit four of us there and that did not work out, it’s really meant for two people! The food was overall very good. I had the chicken Ramen and we also did the chicken yakisoba noodles which was delicious. The drinks were pretty good as well! Our server was very nice when we moved tables, but our original Server was quite interesting. Coming up yawning right away while trying to talk at the same time. Overall, I would come back, but there are plenty of Ramen places to try in Tampa as well so I’m not sure I would be in a rush.

Always reliably good food with lots of healthy choices but this store is a notch below the Wagamamas I've been to in Boston and London Heathrow. The otherwise delicious cod dish I ordered was thrown off by having noodles which were too salty. Service was also a little slow despite a nearly empty restaurant.

This place is really fun. It’s a nice atmosphere and I really like the open kitchen concept. That being said my rice was really undercooked and hard and the serving size of chicken that they give was like 4 little pieces which is not much for the price. My yuzu cocktail tasted like straight sugar. I was disappointed in the food but I will probably come back again and try a different dish. Maybe the ramen. The edamame was really good though and the staff were all very. Food came out super quick as well.

I enjoyed this restaurant, the atmosphere was very laid back and I liked the aesthetic. The food was tasty. My favorite dish was the spicy pork Szechuan ramen. The flavors were amazing. I also tried the Nama spicy tuna and enjoyed it as well. The Korean fried chicken was great , it burst with flavors once you got past the crunch to the meat. That dish arrived a bit late but we were compensated for that. The juice bar was an added bonus and I really liked the “positive “ juice. Overall the customer service was stellar. We even got assisted by the manager Jessi, whom we didn’t know that at the time but she was a team player and set the tone for the rest of the evening. Our waitress was sweet I can’t recall if it was Vicky or Veronica but she did very well. Overall a great Saturday night spot to try out if you love Asian cuisine.

We had reservations for 7:30 PM and arrived at 7:20. We weren’t seated until 8:00 PM, which was already a frustrating start. We placed our order at 8:12, appetizers arrived at 8:32, and the first and second plates came out at 8:41 and 8:45. The pacing just felt off from the beginning. Let’s start with the waiting — it was bad. Having a reservation should mean something, and standing around for 30+ minutes set the tone for the rest of the night. The restaurant itself is in a great location and it’s a very large, beautiful space. The food also looks good in photos, very Instagram-worthy. But unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. There wasn’t an ounce of authenticity in the dishes. Everything we tried was flavorless, and some items weren’t even hot when they reached the table. For an Asian fusion restaurant, you expect bold flavors and good execution — this just wasn’t it. This has been by far the most disappointing place I’ve been to this year. I’m not sure if it was just an off night since most reviews seem positive, but based on our experience, it was not worth it. Definitely not somewhere I’d rush back to.

Pass by this place all the time and decided to give it a try for lunch. My daughter had the kids ramen and katsu. Both dishes were served with raw carrots/cucumber and some corn. I chose the spicy beef brisket as I love picked onions and you could add an egg. As the picture shows, mine had neither so was extremely disappointed. Raw vegetables are also a mystery to me, why not pickle them or season them in some way? They add nothing to the dish and they were cold. A second mystery, why is the food not hot? Everything was just a bit warm like it had been sitting somewhere but the restaurant was empty, just about 3 tables in total. My husbands curry was mild and he liked that. If youre in a time crunch and cant go far for food then yes you can eat this, if youre looking for food to dream about there are plenty other places that have perfected ramen and donburi bowls/curry that you can visit again and again and this for me is not one.

Atmosphere is really cool, open kitchen and lots of diverse seating where people go to work - overall relaxing and chill. Got the Sichuan pork ramen and some streamed pork gyoza: 39.95 post tip. Both were honestly not good - lacking flavor, especially the Sichuan dish having 0 Sichuan peppercorn flavor/aroma - and I wouldnt recommend either, so will not be coming back. Service was good but the review card I got from my server looks like it was played with for 30 minutes before it was given to me.

I could've gotten more flavor from a &.027 packet of ramen from Publix than what we had there. Unbelievable, what we paid for what seemed to be broth from a box. When the girl asked was everything …

Was really excited to get some Ramen, I searched up places to eat and this came up. The location is in an upscale downtown part of Tampa Bay, such a beautiful cityscape. The inside of the restaurant is minimal design but really nice. I enjoyed my hot Jasmine Blossom Tea & Lychee Martini. The ube espresso martini was not it. However, the ramen was so disappointing and the service. Alice our server was not engaging or attentive and so slow. Our ramen arrived “Luke warm” literally all 4 of our ramens and the noodles were mushy. We let her know the ramens weren’t hot and they took them back. They sent us another order of an our ramen, this time they were hot but noodles still mushy. The best one was the shrimp & kimichi as for flavor, but the chicken was blah. Might I add that this entire time we had ordered an appetizer edamame which we never received. Alice appeared and I flagged her down to let her know we still hadn’t gotten our edamame and she informed me it was normal to wait over 30mins for edamame… uh… right. When the chef sent us our hot ramens I mentioned to him that we STILL had not received our edamame and I asked him was this long of a wait normal, guess what the answer was.. “No.” (Like duh, in what world does an app edamame take over 30mins). Also had to ask her twice for a sprite and never received an extra cup for our tea. Asked for the manager, few things stood out: 1. According to him they serve their ramen at 145-147 degrees to uphold the integrity of the noodles. So when we told him they were mushy he said it was our fault essentially because we asked for our ramen to be hot. Well, the noodles sucked the first time and the second and who the heck wants luke warm ramen???? If that was the case then it shoul have been mentioned that you serve luke warm ramen as the norm. 2. He said he took off the edamame and didn’t charge us for the luke warm ramens. Wow, thank you for not charging us for the luke warm ramens we did not eat and the edamame that took over 30mins to come and when it did, it wasn’t even the flavor we ordered. 3. He offered a gift card, I said we don’t live here, he said “well what else do you expect me to do.” Here’s an idea: apply the gift card amount to our current bill. Anywho, would I recommend? If you like Luke warm ramen with mushy noodles and lack luster service. Sure!
