Opinions de The Brother Trattoria Tampa
My favorite, Tampa’s crown jewel of Italian dining: Brother Trattoria. 👩🏾🍳💋✨ Alan delivered flawless service, the 8’ Margherita pizza was pure wood‑fired bliss, the Apple Pineapple Mojito tropical perfection, and the Polpette Della Casa (meatballs) ultimate comfort food. Five shining stars 🌟 and yes, I’ll be back for more!
We recently hosted a birthday party for 30 guests at The Brother, and I cannot say enough about how wonderful the entire experience was. From the moment we began planning, the staff was incredibly accommodating—helping us coordinate the space, timing, and menu so that everything ran smoothly. On the day of the celebration, the restaurant truly exceeded expectations. They handled our large group with ease and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was prepared perfectly, served hot, and full of flavor. Guests kept commenting on how much they enjoyed their meals. What really stood out was the level of service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, from drinks to special requests, all while maintaining a friendly and attentive attitude. They made the birthday feel special, and we never felt rushed or overlooked despite the size of our party. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at The Brother. It was the perfect venue for our celebration, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to host a special event—or simply to enjoy a great meal. We’ll definitely be back!
5 star all around. Happy Hour- Burrata was exceptionally fresh and well dressed. Fettuccine Pesto reminded us of Sicily add a touch of creamy. The bolognese was hearty and saucy which I personally LOVE. We will bring others and come back!
We were thoroughly impressed tonight. The food was exceptional. The wood-fired pizzas; Prosciutto e melone, and eggplant Melanzane were the highlights. Our server, Joel, provided outstanding service, enhancing our dining experience with his attentiveness and warmth. The restaurant's atmosphere is inviting and clean, making it a perfect spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Casey, the valet parking was very sweet and attentive! We had reservations for 8:30pm, and we arrived an hour earlier, They accommodated us with no hesitation!
I went to dinner with some friends to TBT and it was a delicious dinner in a warm and inviting atmosphere! Upon arrival parking is limited, however the valet were welcoming and very quick. This is a smaller restaurant that packs a lot of punch. The decor and table settings make it look and feel like a more expensive restaurant but the prices were incredible! The staff were super attentive and welcoming. They had excellent recommendations and substitutions to help everyone at our party. The service was also quick and efficient! They were super well organized. I started off with their season pumpkin pie martini that was creamy and delicious. Thinks pumpkin spice latte chilled with alcohol. We started off with their savory meatballs and a fresh bread basket. The bread was so warm and delicious. For dinner I got the burrata pizza and it was so filling and made from the freshest ingredients. The pizza was made in their stone oven and had the right crisp to the crust. Overall I was super impressed by our meal. I even saw the manager take some food to the valet so it was refreshing to see a family restaurant that treated each other and their guests like family!
Delicious! Used to come here before the ownership change & always got the gnocchi. First time back & so glad to see it still on the menu & still a homemade delight! Some yummy dip & bread to start along with an eggplant appetizer & calamari along with a salad to share. My bf got the chicken marsala, which he said was really good. They have a goid selection of wines by the glass too. Our server was really nice & everything was great. So glad this location is back in action & we can't wait to come back!
Great service. Good Food. Family Friendly Restaurant. Nice and Clean, with a nice simple ambiance.
This was our first time coming to this restaurant and will not be our last. The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the Rigatoni Della Casa and the Gnocchi Toscano. Both meals were so flavorful. I would highly recommend both of them! Lindsey was so friendly and informative about the menu. For dessert we had the chocolate soufflé and the cannoli. They were so delicious! I don’t even usually like cannoli but the filling has a slight citrus note that was surprising but so good! Perfect date night. ❤️
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here at The Brother Trattoria. The staff was so kind, I was greeted with smiles & the food/drinks did not disappoint. The drinks I tried were The Grinch & Mistletoe Manhattan… delicious. I tried the blackened grouper bites and OMG seasoned very well, crispy and flaky. I will definitely come back. Update: 2/9/25 It was nice to come back to try something different. The Spaghetti Vongole was very flavorful and had the right amount of kick to it. I tried the delicious grouper bites my first time here but it may have been a seasonal thing because I didn’t see it on the menu this time around. Overall, nice intimate spot to go with friends or significant other.

Was greeted right away. Super nice staff. Salad was great. I also got the ravioli. Dessert was great too. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Definitely go if you're in the area!

Excellent Italian cuisine. I’d say among one of the best Italian meals I’ve ever had. The bread and herbed dipping olive oil was definitely the best bread and oil I’ve had. The Pappardelle Bolognese was top notch. We ended with the Cannoli and that was aLeo incredible. We will be back.
Our server Esteban did an amazing job! He was very personable, provided great recommendations from the menu, and he ensured we had a great experience overall. The pasta and pizza dishes we ordered were fresh and delicious, highly recommend checking this place out!

We had a fantastic experience at The Brother Trattoria in Tampa! The food was outstanding, with pasta cooked to perfection and every dish full of flavor. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive and so friendly. A wonderful spot for authentic Italian in South Tampa. We highly recommend!
The Brother catered our celebration and supporter thank-you after-party following our recent charity event, and it was absolutely perfect! After a long but beautiful day, their meal hit the spot in every way. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — exactly what we needed to wrap up the evening on a high note. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was. Huge thanks to The Brother for helping make our event so memorable!
Sooo The Brothers Trattoria was such a cute date night spot! We went during the week for a late dinner, so it was pretty quiet — which was actually really nice. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful with the menu. The decor has a modern, clean, wine-bar vibe that felt cozy and stylish. The food was solid overall, and I definitely want to come back to try their pizza next time! What we ordered: Garlic Butter Shrimp: Great starter! Ravioli: Hmm mmm… yummy! Lasagna: Seasoning was a bit mild, but still enjoyable.
Jorge with Offline - Joel the server was very professional and attentive, very great service! The bread was amazing! The spread was pretty good I would honestly put less minced garlic and bake whole garlic cloves with Olive Oil to keep the spread from overwhelming the palate with chopped garcil while not totally risking reducing the hint of garlic. The melanzane was very good! 10/10. The Pizza was okay I felt that the dough / crust lacked flavor! Brushing olive oil on the dough and crust will help with flavors, browning and keeping crust from being too soggy! 5/10. The Crème Brûlée was not bad but I felt like it wasn’t fresh, while the custard was great, creamy and cool the topping wasn’t crispy enough as if it’s been sitting for a long time. 7/10 but over all experience was good I recommend this place! And the server Joel 199/10 great service!
The food was excellent. The price point was excellent. I really enjoyed it here. UPDATE ( August 2025) I enjoyed myself so much at this restaurant earlier this year, that when I was back in town, I visited again. I came for my niece’s birthday. My experience this time was great food, but service was subpar. Server forgot to bring out plates, napkins, and cutlery, so when we were served our bread, we all had to pass around the single plate to eat over. Our food is excellent. I asked the server for some chilli flakes, but she forgot to bring them back to me, so I had to get up and go inside to ask her. This was also the first restaurant I’ve been to in my life that did not do anything for a birthday. It was my niece’s 13th birthday, the reservation asked if it was a special occasion, the server also asked if it was a special occasion when we arrived, and then they didn’t do anything - not even a little happy birthday song or a bowl of ice cream/dessert. I just found it a bit odd to ask if it’s a special occasion and then not show that you even care about it. It makes more sense to not even ask. Bottom line, I would eat here again, but the service needs touching up on.
Great date night spot. I will start off by saying our host Lindsay provided us with exceptional service and was very knowledgeable on the menu. I had the sausage pepper and onion pizza and my wife had the lasagna both were savory and delicious. There complimentary Bread and dip is amazing. You can tell that care and planning goes into the food, the owner really cares about your dining experience. There were two patrons that were not happy with a dish and he personally came over listened to what they had to say and addressed the issue that type of hospitality speaks for itself. I will be back to try some more dishes on the menu and update my review. As of now all I can say is head down there and give this place a try.
Outstanding service by the our server Noelle. All the meals had amazing flavor.
This is such a cute place (& can get very expensive...read on)! Joel the owner was our waiter. The bread and olive oil dip they have is to die for good! We tried the prosciutto e melon as it sounded very interesting...and it was. Flavor was good but texture kinda off after a few bites. We also go the Hawaiian Fire Dancer pizza, good flavor but soggy due to the pineapple. I ordered the Bucattini Tartuffo and that's where dinner went down hill...I asked if they could do no mushrooms and some how that translated into me getting mushrooms + shrimp (that I didn't order and was charged $6 for) on top of the fact that MP for this small portion was $55!!!! I would have never guessed that a tiny pasta dish would cost that much especially with the average prices being $19-$25! I've been to other local restaurants that do the pasta tossed in a cheese wheel and got double the amount for 1/2 the price. So I paid $61 for that small pasta dish... so that was a huge shock to our bill.
The Brother Trattoria is a cute little restaurant in the Tampa Bay area. They have a lot of great food to offer! The shrimp we had on happy hour was amazing! We couldn't get enough of the garlic sauce. It's mentioned that pastas are made in-house, which is astounding! The salmon had great flavor. The Carbonara left a little to be desired, but overall, the visit was lovely. The service was gracious and attentive. Overall a wonderful little gem to grab a meal.

Pretty solid little spot near the down town area. My wife and I decided to try it out when we couldn't get into Olivia or Rocca on a Saturday. We love mom and pop vibes, so this was a pleasant find. They were fairly busy when we came in, so when we checked in for our reservation and not greeted in roughly 10 minutes by our server, we decided to take a couple empty seats at the bar. There was only one bartender and he was clearly busy on service, but he got around to us in a timely manner and despite being busy had a pretty pleasant attitude. He didn't really tour guide us through the menu or ask if we'd been here before, just took our order and kept about his business, which worked for us as we hadn't been out in a bit and wanted the time to chat. The cocktails were fantastic, I got the Bumpa (their version of an old fashioned) from their menu and she tried the strawberry basil martini, which was perfectly balanced between sweet and refreshing. We switched to a Super Tuscan on their menu for dinner. The food was solid, the meat ball appetizer and sauce was delicious, and the starter Caesar salad was also tasty (their dressing was clearly homemade. Entree's were decent; my wife got the market priced pasta, which I'll admit was the best part of the meal, but was disappointed they didn't have the cheese wheel to prepare it table side, yet they still charged us full price for it. I got the Veal, which was served in a lemon sauce and paid the up charge for the pasta. The pasta is truly sensational, but the Veal left a lot to be desired; smaller pieces which were a bit chewier than normal, and the lemon sauce lacked flavor which I think added to the chewiness. We ended with tiramisu which was definitely home made and hit home. All in all it was a pretty solid experience and we'd definitely go back!

The burrata pizza was mediocre at best. No crispiness of the crust, flavors fell a little flat. Would have been better with a balsamic drizzle. The chicken Parmesan was subpar. The tomato sauce tasted like it came out of a can. Not bad, but nothing I would need to comeback for.
I AM SO SICK OF THIS PLACE !!! So this place has amazing food as an Italian, I love their food, but they will absolutely scam you!!!!!! I have now tried to figure out how to order my regular dish and a side of two other things that I pay very heavily for now they don’t put it on the side, I don’t get my full dish, my full pasta, but instead they try to shove everything in one box which you’re not getting the full order of anything so they will scam you and after six times I’m done ordering from them ever again stop stealing my money DO BETTER !!!!
