The Priory Inn

We stopped off for a meal on our way down South. Amazing food, great value. The staff were friendly. Very pretty & cozy restaurant with wood beam ceilings & a log fire place in the middle.

Really lovely food, they do not over book and it means your well looked after. Lovely pub outside and inside, lovely open fire.

My wife and I booked a table here for our Ruby anniversary and we were so glad we did. Service was great,food came out quite quickly,was hot well presented and tasted great. My wife loved her sweet the Lemon mess. There is accommodation on the premises if you want to stay over. Outside seating if the weather is good.

We stop at the restaurant for a bite to eat on our way home from holiday. I had sardine on sourdough bread with sapphire salsa and salads, my partner had small fish and chips. It was very nice. The service was very good and the staffs was very attendant make sure we had everything we need. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very calm and relaxed.

A lovely pub / hotel, with friendly and welcoming staff. The receptionist / manageress was particularly lovely and efficient. A super breakfast and my partner particularly enjoyed his hake special for dinner. The chilled water fridge is an excellent idea. My only suggestion is that the pub needs to purchase summer duvets for the guest rooms; 10.5tog in August is too much! Finally, the pub is ideally situated if you're visiting Highgrove and is a very short walk to the centre of Tetbury.

The Priory is a great place to stay. Yes, some of the decor is looking a bit tired, but the rooms are very clean and comfortable and a very good breakfast. The Inn offers very good value for money in my view, but its main asset is the fabulous couple who manage it! We had a flat battery when we left the hotel and they found some jump leads and got us going - really above and beyond, which sums them up. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Had a lovely stay here and would highly recommend. We were a party of 6 and all agree it’s been the best place we’ve stayed so far on our trip to the UK. Staff was friendly, food delicious, rooms comfy and cozy. Just wished we could’ve stayed several nights.

We cannot fault our stay at The Priory Tetbury. We had parking which is a big bonus. Staff were friendly and professional. Our room was clean & comfortable. We had a full cooked breakfast which was hot & delicious with locally sourced ingredients. Would definitely recommend.

Having eaten here twice in 2 weeks, once as a party of 5 and once as 13, we can’t fault it. The menu had something for everyone, food is fantastic and service exemplary. Highly recommend The Priory for a really great meal

A truly special experience. We loved staying here. The staff, food, rooms and indeed all parts of our stay were fantastic. Definitely will return for a stay on our next visit to England.

We have just had the joy of staying at The Priory for a long weekend. The entire weekend was faultless, we stayed there, ate breakfast and dinner and had drinks in the bar. Everyone was excellent, warm and welcoming and cannot do enough for you. The food is excellent, the rooms divine. If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay you don’t need to look any further than here, a perfect weekend in a fabulous location! Without doubt we will return for stays, dinner and drinks in the future :)

We have stopped in at The Priory inn twice for dinner recently, staff are great, probably the most friendly and genuine staff I've met in a pub in years! Food is great, only let down would be the chips, really didn't enjoy them on both occasions. Asked to swap the chips to the skinny fries they have on one of the specials but it wasn't possible. We will definitely visit again!

Had a Sunday Roast here, the welcome was so so friendly the moment we walked thru the door, the roast exceptional, and we were late ordering, 3pm - but the service totally outstanding! Keep up the good work!

It was one of the nicest stays we have ever had on all our travels. We were having a tough day, checked into the Priory, and Natalie was an incredible dream of a host. She checked us in, handled our luggage, provided anything we needed, and set us up for dinner and breakfast for the next day. All the stresses of the day melted away. The staff were so kind from beginning to end. Appreciate Becky's email for help with early check-in and asking if we needed anything. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful. The room was very nice. If you want to go somewhere and feel totally taken care of, this is the place. Highly, highly recommend the Priory Inn.

This property and restaurant were a perfect find for myself and a friend in July. I own a Travel Agency in the United States and I researched and pondered different locations for months before landing on the Priory and we are the hardest to please ;) They were patient with emails from the states to prepare for our relaxing stay and when we arrived their attention was just as personal and even more special. I truly consider Nat and Becky friends and the culinary magic that Matt prepares in the kitchen has me dreaming for my return. The single only downfall is the lack of air con, other than that it is wonderful. It is absolutely no secret that the food is exceptional as they were packed every single night. Breakfast is only for guests and we loved that special attention every morning. The menu is ever changing and completely fresh and local ingredients and you can taste it and see it in the presentation and in the flavors. Truly love the Priory, I will return and I will be putting clients there from here forward.

Our first time to The Priory as a family to celebrate our daughters birthday with a meal. What a lovely place. The staff and service were amazing and the food was absolutely beautiful. Will definitely stop in again.

We spent two blissful nights at the Priory Inn over New Year. The staff were warm and friendly, and the room was a lovely place to relax in between exploring the surrounding wonders of The Cotswolds. The food was top-notch, both the dinner we enjoyed on New Year's Eve, and the cooked breakfast each morning of our stay. Everything fresh, well-balanced and a lovely blend of taste and texture. Also, the whole experience was great value for money. Cannot recommend the place highly enough!

This establishment is simply outstanding. We had a five day stay here and the service was excellent from the moment we stepped in the door. Natalie and her team provided seamless, passionate and welcoming service throughout the stay and it felt like we were coming home each evening after a day out. Bar service was warm and friendly. We had several meals and the menu is large and everything we tried for both breakfast and dinner was prepared in house, delicious and served to a high level. We will definitely stay again. Five stars doesn’t seem enough!

Matt & Natalie run a wonderful “English country pub” in this delightful Cotswold village. Stopped over for 1 night on a recent business trip. Despite coping with a big dinner party and a busy dining room, the staff were warm & friendly, service was prompt. Dinner was really tasty, great selection of Arkells ales. Staff recommendations were spot on: They know their stuff! I had a very comfortable room; the walls are a little thin, but nothing a pair of earplugs couldn’t filter out. Slept well in a very comfy bed. Breakfast was classic: Great choice & selection, served promptly by efficient & friendly staff. They do a great English breakfast. Bonus - blue skies in the morning creating that golden glow in the Cotswold stone. Already planning on coming back on my next visit to the UK.

A very friendly well run ship. Everybody mucked in without being told and all the staff seemed to work with a smile on their face. It made us (my wife and myself) feel at home and comfortable as soon as we got into the building.So many nice people all in one place. The room was very clean with good comfortable beds. The food was extremely good and hot. We had only been in there a day before we both said that we would definitely be back in the spring. They even had a very good pint and well kept old type English beer. J&P OCT 2025

Sharing my appreciation for a local business but I’ve been to The Priory Inn three times now and every time we get exemplary service! The atmosphere is lovely, with the decor, seating and gorgeous central fire. The service has always been top tier and I always feel very well looked after. And finally food is exceptional, well presented with good portion sizes!! I will definitely be making more regular visits and would recommend to anyone looking for an amazing place to eat or drink in Tetbury.

We only had the pleasure of staying one night, stoping in for a concert down the road, we were met by Nat who made us feel right at home!, it is clear to see the hard work they put in to making customers feel welcome and their needs met, the room was clean and comfy, the fan was an added bonus in the heatwave!, great coffee and toiletries in the room, and breakfast was the best we’ve had!, shame we couldn’t stop in for dinner as the food looked and smelled just as good. We hope we have reason to stop by again, highly recommend!

Lovely roast here today! Really friendly service, great meal. Roast potatoes were a little underwhelming but made up for by excellent meat, lovely, well-cooked (not soggy!) veg and delicious gravy. Dog friendly and really nice staff. Dessert was also excellent.

We had the most incredible dinner at The Priory Inn and cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the staff were so warm and welcoming — you immediately feel relaxed and looked after. The menu had something for everyone, with a fantastic variety of choices and exciting daily specials that really set it apart from your usual pub food. We ordered the fillet fish burger, which was perfectly crisp and full of flavour, and the Wagyu beef burger — absolutely massive and stacked high with delicious toppings (just look at those crispy onion rings!). Both came with generous portions and great sides. We also tried the ‘dirty hash browns’, and honestly, they were next-level — golden, cheesy, herby perfection with just the right amount of indulgence. The quality and quantity of the food was spot on, and for the price, it’s fantastic value. You can tell everything is made with care and attention. Between the service, the atmosphere, and the food, this was the perfect place to enjoy a proper dinner out.

Friendly staff, very welcoming. The room was very clean and a nice size without losing the country feel to it. The food was excellent, and they had a good selection of alcoholic drinks. We are looking to visit again this year when the weather is a little better. I would definitely recommend staying at The Priory Inn

Convenient for Highgrove Gardens and touring the Cotswolds. Had 3 rooms. All clean, beautiful and comfortable. Dinner, breakfast and service were all excellent. Becky was just amazing; so friendly, helpful and efficient. A great ambassador for the Priory. Looking forward to our next visit.

Last weekend, I attended a birthday party of 26 people. Our sitdown meal was the quality of a top restaurant. It all looked fabulous, and I wish that I could’ve tried every dish on the table! The staff were very pleasant & professional. Nice decor and area. I highly recommend The Priory - Do not drive past!

What a fantastic pub! Stopped by on Christmas Eve for a perfectly poured Guinness, and it didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot to catch up with friends or enjoy a family outing. The food menu looks tempting too—definitely planning to come back and give it a try!

Great value. We were visiting several places between Tetbury and Bath and found this lovely hotel on Google maps. Booked 2 rooms (14 and 11). The room are simple but nicely decorated, clean and comfortable (2 armchairs, storage space and hangers). Amenities : a kettle, Tea and coffee, iron, hair dryer, free bottle of water. Bathroom a bit small but perfect for us. No AC ( there's an electric fan). Very welcoming staff. It was a busy Saturday evening but they took the time to accompany us to our rooms and helped with our luggage. If you're really picky, you can find some rooms a little bit worn out perhaps? We will certainly visit again.

I booked for a birthday lunch today.a really nice change from other lunch venues in the area. Pleasant and professional service, really comfortable table by the open log fire. One lunch meal one light plate with some changes, nicely presented, tasty and satisfying. I noticed that vegan and other dietary requirements were catered for and various goat and sheep cheese to choose from. Such a nice choice of menu. We will be back and will recommend to family and friends.

I booked to stay for two nights, the Hotel is in an ideal location to explore Tetbury by foot and a short drive to so many beautiful places to visit. The Hotel was spotless and my room was very comfortable, more importantly Nat and her team were very welcoming and helpful. They have an excellent outdoor terrace to enjoy a drink in the afternoon sunshine and excellent restaurant to enjoy a variety of dishes. Would definitely visit again and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area for business or pleasure.

Great vegan burger and amazing hash browns. Staff managed to squeeze us in despite us not booking a table. Really friendly staff. Dogs welcomed.

First trip to Tetbury + to the Priory Inn! Great place from which to explore the area. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful + professional. The service was very good, nothing too much trouble + the food delicious. The room was quiet + nice + clean, but a little 'tired' , the bed V comfortable. The staff made up for any room shortfalls + I would recommend a stay here to anyone!

Easy place to meet and catch up with friends. Just outside the main thoroughfare of Tetbury. Would recommend having drinks here and eating at the Close Hotel just around the corner.

A really nice spot to enjoy a 🍻 outside, weather permitting. Especially during happy hour prices. Inside felt warm and welcoming and the staff were very friendly 😁. I’d definitely come back for a meal.

My friend asked if she could just change the flavour of ice cream due to her pudding coming with ice cream which contained alcohol which she can’t have due to medical reasons. She wasn’t allowed to even have a different flavour of ice cream nor was she allowed to have no ice cream at all with her pudding as the waiter went and asked the chef and came back to say the chef said no swaps or changes at all. So overall the chef wouldn’t even cater to her dietary requirements!
