Awesome employees! Great drinks!!!
Exceptional coffee. AMAZING employees. This Philz is special!!
Absolutely delicious pour-over coffee with multiple blends to choose from. Different choices for each strength of coffee: dark medium, and light. The monkeybread muffin is delicious.
Love philz!! The coffee and pastries are delicious!! I recommend it to everyone, coffee fanatics and people who maybe don’t like it as much. You can customize the cream and sugar to your liking. So neat that the flavors solely come from the beans. 🍉
Move over Starbucks, you can get great drinks here without all of the added sugar!! Plus Philz is located in the best little nook (Starbucks used to be here). Walking distance, great seating outside, next to Noah's Bagels, so the atmosphere is nice. Its a great weekend spot to chill, or weekday spot to get out and enjoy the sun.
Philz is a little hipster coffee shop. They don't serve lattes or anything super fancy but what they do have is really tasty. I like the philtered soul with honey. Note that each drink is made to order so expect to wait a while especially if you go on a Sunday or at 8am.
Just the best place for a quick breakfast if you are willing to give other coffee shops aside from Starbucks a chance. Friendly clean place and conveniently located next to Noah’s bagel and Jumbo Juice so that if there is a group of ppl everyone can choose their pick
Always so so so nice and make the best coffee! I was running late and I mobil ordered to the wrong place and they remade it for me right away. So kind thank you so much!
Philz is definitely the best coffee chain around. Really no bad options, except maybe the iced rosè
Not gonna lie, I used to drive from Ventura to Santa Monica some days just to get Philz. Now I only have to drive to TO. GOD BLESS. Lol. Also, Angel is my favorite barista. He's always so kind and definitely makes the best drinks ;)
Not only is the coffee perfect but an item was out and their customer service was fantastic.
Such a great place loved the space ordered a drink was great and love how they ask before you leave if how you like it! Did not get food do not have a review there. Will definitely go back!!
Worth the price. I'm happy it's not a Starbucks anymore, there are enough of those around! Nice to chill here and personally I like the music when I've been in. Will be here pretty often
This was my first time visiting Philz Coffee, and while I was a little surprised to find out they don’t serve double espressos, it definitely wasn’t the end of the world. What made up for it was the exceptional customer service and how clean and welcoming the space was—everything felt really well taken care of. I also loved seeing their contribution to Thousands Elementary—it’s always great to see a business giving back to the community. For my drink, I ordered an iced dirty chai with almond milk, and I was genuinely surprised by how flavorful it was. It wasn’t just delicious—it was beautifully made, with a lovely presentation and a refreshing hint of mint that tied it all together perfectly. Philz really impressed me, and I’m excited to come back and try more from their unique menu. They’ve definitely
Love this Pham! Gina and her team make my coffee addiction real, occasionally helping me get through the day with something solid in my stomach--whether it's a chili egg burrito or a blueberry cheese danish, yuuuummmmy! Just know, no Karen's and Derren's, this isn't the place for you--aka kick rocks!!! (Right C.F.?)
Philz is a coffee brand that originally started in the San Francisco, bay area and is gaining traction on growing beyond their bay area roots. Housed in what was once a Starbucks, they offer stupendous drip coffee styles and treats to eat.
Best coffee in town. I recommend the aromatic Arabica which you can get hot or cold. Great service fast and friendly.
Love their coffee ! Also super cute shop to work From ! 10/10. I love going on a sunny day to work by the fountain!

Love the mint mojito and the rosé! Unique and delicious. Note both run on the sweet side but you can customize if desired.
A friend and I went to Noah’s begels and after poor service decided to walk over to Philz Coffee. What a great a decision. The coffee is great and they add fresh ingredients to their coffee and tea real cream and fresh mint in my tea. Very pleasant staff. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great Coffee Spot that I stumbled upon. Coffee was great! They had a seasonal banana caramel coffee that I had to try, it was actually delicious!
Went into Noah’s Bagels but couldn’t resist trying a new café! Mariyam took my order and suggested Tesora as my first cup at Philz. Everyone was cheerful, and the service was fast. Will definitely be back!
Great store with sweet baristas. Familiar faces almost every day which personalizes my experience and helps me every morning. I usually mobile order but even when I order in person, Mariyem starts making my drink right away, today she even put a straw out next to my mobile order as I usually ask her for one every time. Haha. I thought that was very thoughtful of her. Great representation of how a cafe should be like these days - unlike Starbucks.
EDIT: I’m so disappointed in the new baristas that were hired, I go here everyday and the original girls make such good coffee but some have left and it seems like everything is going down hill, Mariyam makes the worst coffee ever and her attitude is not what I like my first reaction in the morning to be. Very sad… We come to Philz every morning, and it’s truly become part of our daily routine for a reason. The coffee? Hands down the best you’ll ever have. Smooth, flavorful, and customized to perfection—once you taste Philz, you’ll never go back. (Sorry, Starbucks… it’s over.) What really sets this place apart is the people. Jessie, Chloe, Carissa, and Gina are absolute gems. They’re not just baristas—they’re the reason this spot feels like a second home. Friendly, welcoming, and always on it. If anything’s ever off (which is rare!), they fix it immediately and with a smile. The vibe is unmatched too—warm, upbeat, and filled with good energy. Whether you’re grabbing a quick cup or hanging for a while, it’s the perfect environment. We love Philz and this amazing team. Thanks for making our mornings brighter and more caffeinated—forever loyal fans over here! ❤️☕️
I went to Philz for the first time today! Mariyam and the other blonde barista provided great service. Mariyam asked if my drink was perfect and made sure I enjoyed it. She even noticed the cup was a bit warm for me and double-cupped it without me asking. I came in with a gift card from my granddaughter who loves Philz Coffee — and now I understand why! I was so impressed with the baristas and their kindness. The menu can look a little complicated, but their exceptional service makes me look forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

Great coffee, service and location. Honestly only thing subpar is the food.
The coffee is good, the long wait to order is not! Really needs two people taking orders. Hopefully, it will be faster once open a while. .
Really great coffee and great service. I gave 4 stars because of price. The Honey Haze cold brew is my favorite.
It was fine. I don't get the business model though. Why only drip coffees. Starbucks only works because they have a 10k espresso machine that I can't buy so lates I have to go there but everyone has a mr. Coffee to brew drip at home.
Why no ceramic coffee cups? Great coffee but I don't like the taste of paper. Other than coffee, I always avoid tasting paper. Why am I forced to do it at Philz's?
What a vibe! The best place to get a pick me up but be warned, no espresso drinks here! Still solid vibes, great service and fun drinks!

Great coffee on a splurge. I just can justify $5.30 + tip for a Medium coffee. Silicon Valley is trying to export their housing market in coffee form.
It's alright. Robust coffee for a good jolt of energy and the price is fairly average if not just under. The specialty coffee's we ordered both came out lackluster, not really living up to their bold names and supposed flavor profiles. ('Mint Mojito & Rosé). The "monkey bread muffin" is just dry monkey bread in the shape of a muffin. Meh. Soso overall.
The coffee was fresh enough, with a smooth texture and mild taste. The aroma was faint and the finish ordinary. It was acceptable but forgettable.
The brew was clean and light, with a simple flavor profile. It was served promptly and had a mild aroma. Overall, fine to enjoy but nothing exciting.

I was excited to get a cup of the iconic mojito because it was a favorite of mine years ago. I hadn't visited a Philz Coffee in years since there's not one near me, so I was looking forward to getting a drink. However, as soon as I walked in, it was difficult to tell where one is supposed to order. The batistas did not look happy to see customers, to which is not normally a big deal to me, especially if it's rush hour or it's busy and they're busy doing their job, but there was no one in line when I walked in so that was odd. When I tried to order, the employee didn't ask any specifications for the drink, which most coffee shops normally and it took me aback because what if I didn't know about new alterations that are now offered in comparison to years ago. She seemed disinterested during the entire interaction, even though she had just gotten back after being somewhere in the back. Then, I had to wait for people to get their drinks before I got mine even though they came in after I did. The cashier had told me they'd call out the name, but they never did. I ended up having to go up to the counter and ask about the drink. I absolutely love the Philz coffee drinks, but this experience made me not want to return to this specific location.
I found the loud hip hop rap music unpleasant. I couldn't stay inside and enjoy my coffee. Unfortunate. My wife and I may not return.

I'm a frequent visitor to this establishment and have always had positive experiences with both the taste and service provided by the staff. However, today's visit at 3:10pm was disappointing. Despite arriving before others, I was served after four other customers, and even after inquiring about my order, I was informed that there had been a mix-up with the tickets. Despite my patience, when my coffee finally arrived, it was topped with curdled cream, resulting in an unpleasant taste that made me feel unwell. It's clear that better training may be needed, particularly for the specific staff member responsible. With only one boy and one girl on duty, it should be easy to identify and provide additional training where necessary to ensure better service in the future.
First time at Philz and although the coffee was delicious, the attitude on the girl taking my order makes my experience horrendous. Since it was my first time ordering a coffee at Philz, I wasn’t certain on sizes or how things are ordered there. When asked simple questions like what are the sizes, she would reply in a condescending tone and apathetic look “it’s right behind me” directing me to just read the board/menu or “it’s right in front of you” when i didn’t know where to pay. Very unprofessional, very unapproachable, very rude. She even went to the extent to glare at me when I asked her coworker for a straw for my iced drink. That negative attitude will taint the whole workplace.
This is my favorite coffee but it’s never the same ..I don’t know if the company doesn’t used the same measurement for each drink. The drinks are never the same even if you order the same drink. But if you go to the Philz on Moorpark road in Thousand Oaks …Riley got it down pat …that girl knows how to make some coffee! From now on I’m calling them before placing my order …and asking if Riley’s working. And if she’s not I’m not ordering
While I love the coffee, we ordered online and got 2 large coffees, when I looked at mine, the cup was barely filled up half way. A complete rip off, basically paid $1.50 extra for a small size, not a large. The people that work there need better management overseeing their quality.
Drink took forever when there were only two people in the shop. Baristas were more concerned with chatting with each other than serving the customers. Said thank you for my drink and was ignored by the barista.
12/8, 4:30 pm. Very cute spot I love the outside. Now the two ladies inside... not cute and definitely not sweet. I work customer service and l'm a closer so l know what it's like to feel frustrated when customers come in before close. 30 minutes before close mind you so nothing too crazy. They seemed annoyed me and my friend were ordering... at their job... that they work at.. Anyway, we get our drinks, we go outside and notice they're very watery. After some debating we go back inside to ask for a remake. We ordered iced philtered souls but I guess we should have clarified that we did not want the cold brew, which they gave us anyway? They literally just stared at us like they hoped we would walk away with our caca drinks. So the barista with the curly hair in a bun remakes our drinks to the pour over philtered soul, which we should have gotten in the first place but whatever. and we can tell she's pressed! Now I'm pressed and sat making this review. Lowkey put a damper on my mood but honestly it's probably not as bad as whatever they got going on. I'd be jaded too if I worked in thousand oaks. with peace and love - valleygirlphilzlover67

Never been here before. Inside is nice. Had high hopes. However, despite 4-5 people behind the counter it took 20+ minutes to pour 2 cold brews. When approached they apologized for the delay, but didn’t start on the order. We watched 5 people who came in after us receive drinks while ours were ignored. Then after 20 minutes when I approached a staff member they informed me their wait time was 20-25 minutes for drinks. Something that would have been nice for the cashier to inform a customer prior to ordering. All in all not a great experience. Will not be back.
Straws in cups, using full batch brew filters for a single cup. It just seemed like everything in the shop was an after thought. And the brewing equipment was patched together from spare parts taken out of their grandpas garage. Open bean containers. Trash cans don’t fit the cabinets. I mean this place is a yard sale. Aside from the aesthetic, I’ve seriously had better coffee from 7/11. In full disclosure — I’m a “coffee person”, but I give everyone a fair shake. This was abysmal.
The first time we went there, they were closing early. There was no sign on the door, and they waited till we went in and decided what we were going to order before telling us. The next time even though there was only two people ahead of me. I had to wait about 30 minutes for my coffee to be made. Definitely would not go back again. It’s also very hard to get a flavored latte there. They do pour overs instead not the same.
To quote Yogi Berra: “No one goes there anymore. It’s too crowded.” Not only is it too crowded, it literally—LITERALLY—took them, again LITERALLY, 30 MINUTES to get me a cup of coffee that didn’t taste any different than Starbucks. This place is a passing fad.
I will NEVER come to this JOKE of a place EVER again! I paid $10.00 for an iced tea and chocolate croissant that took 20 MINUTES to get! They had SIX surly/unfriendly teenagers "working" and it STILL took that long. This place will NOT last! #LAME

Mariyam, working on January 2nd at 11:34 took our order and then proceeded to take her group of friends order right away and made sure to get her group of friends their drinks before anyone who had been in front of them. We waited 25 minutes for one coffee drink. Horrible service.
