Opinions de Salsa Thousand Oaks
I was very hesitant to do a dance, but my husband really wanted us to go for it. As soon as I walked into Luna Del Soul's studio, I felt very welcomed and safe. The private practice areas helped us feel more comfortable as we were learning the steps. The standout of this experience, of course, was our choreographer, Richard. He took our ideas and always made room for more. We had a crazy mashup of a string quartet song followed by a jazz rendition, so there were a lot of different steps to learn! Richard was kind, gentle, and hilarious and relatable at the same time. He was able to bring down my walls quickly, and no matter how many times I got frustrated for missing a step, he cheered us on! If you are unsure about whether or not you want to do a dance because you're anxious about failing or looking bad, don't lose hope. Sign up and call Richard. Thank me later :)
Lukas and Simona have been my coaches for the past three years and I’m so grateful for them. Luna Del Soul has a beautiful space and an amazing environment. Everyone is welcomed with warmth and we are all one friendly community. Lukas and Simona are so supportive and kind. Their belief in me has made me a better and more confident dancer. If you want to dance, this is the place to be! ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely gorgeous studio with amazing light and positive energy!!! Coaches Lukas and Simona have been coaching my daughter for the past 3 years. They have provided love, support, dedication, patience, and the ability to communicate high level emotional and physical information to an 11 year old creating a tiny dancer with a big future. I highly recommend Luna Del Soul for all levels of dance!!!
My husband and I have been taking lessons from Lukas and Simona since the pandemic hit the Bay Area. We started dancing on Zoom in our kitchen and moved to in person when studios reopened. We never imagined competing together. However, in July, we were encouraged to try and had a blast! Lukas and Simona are passionate professional dancers who love sharing their knowledge. We highly recommend them!🤗
The best dance teachers that has authentic aspirations for their students to succeed and experience the fun of ballroom dancing. Everyone is treated like family at Luna Del Soul dance studio. Its a warm and friendly place. I've been dancing competitively with the help of my teachers , Simona and Lukas for 1 year now with unbelievable success. If you love dancing or even thinking about it, this is the place.
Luna Del Soul is an exceptional dance studio catering to both kids and adults. Its owners, Simona and Lukas, are not only world-class dancers but also phenomenal coaches and amazing individuals. Their contagious love for dance is evident in their commitment to making each student a better dancer. My son has been taking Latin dance lessons with them since before the pandemic, and he adores it. Simona and Lukas are not only his dance coaches but also his mentors and closest friends.
Luna Del Soul is a wonderful place to learn how to dance. The staff is very welcoming, including their in house pup! I especially have a lot of gratitude for Che who taught my partner and I a dance for our upcoming wedding. He made the learning process incredibly fun and we left feeling confident and ready to show off our moves ;)
This is a great dance studio. The Vibe: I've now been to the beginner and intermediate salsa classes, and have also taken private lessons here. The dance studio itself is very comfortable--I like the lighting and the cleanliness. It also smells pretty good (which I know is a bit random, but I noticed it). There's a great vibe here as well as you'll often see many dancers in and out of the studio constantly practicing. I also like that on some days the dance studio dog makes an appearance. Pretty adorable stuff--great atmosphere all around. Owners and people at front desk are friendly and always smiling. Highlights: The private lessons in particular are really good. I've been learning Salsa with Maggie and she's helped me get a lot better. She's a great listener, passionate about dancing, gives useful advice, very friendly, and explains things well. If you practice with her, you will get better and you will have a good time doing so. I also highly recommend the intermediate classes taught by Maggie and Monica. They teach complex patterns, but in a way that is accessible to people on the fringe of beginner and intermediate. It's probably the best class for people in that range in the area.
I absolutely love this dance studio! The instructors are friendly, professional, and always full of energy. The atmosphere is welcoming and motivating, making every class fun and inspiring. I’ve improved so much and always look forward to coming back. Highly recommend!
Raquel is amazing. She created choreography for our wedding that was so beautiful and made the whole process of learning our song a ton of fun. Everyone else at Luna del sol was also very welcoming and helpful with scheduling.
My 13-year-old daughter has been coached by Lukas and Simona for the last 3 years. They are amazing dancers and wonderful people with big hearts. With an individual approach tailored to your personal goals, they are fully invested in the development of each of their students. Since coming to the San Francisco Bay Area several years ago, they have been able to build a tight-knit dance community where everyone feels welcomed and at home. Luna Del Soul is a beautiful studio in the middle of the Peninsula with a large space and a beautiful dance floor. With many dance classes and instructors available, this is a great place for kids and adults of any level to pursue their dance dreams and goals.

Under the guidance of owners and professional dancers Lukas and Simona, Luna Del Soul has garnered acclaim for its top-tier instruction. I was so impressed with my first visit to Luna Del Soul studio--so beautiful, so spacious! Lots of light, huge main ballroom, the best sound system--all so inviting to go for dance instruction! The owners, Lukas and Simona, current competitors in International Latin dancing, go to Europe several times a year for training with the top of the world coaches. And, they make you feel very welcome, no matter what your level of dancing is. We are very fortunate to have this high caliber dance studio and teachers in Redwood City!
Luna del Sol is a truly welcoming dance experience! From the moment I walked in, I felt completely welcomed. The atmosphere is so friendly and inviting—perfect for anyone who might feel nervous about stepping into a dance studio for the first time. I took my very first Cha-Cha class here, and it was such a great experience. Lukas and Simona, the amazing duo who run the studio, are not only incredibly talented dancers but also wonderful instructors. They were patient, attentive, and genuinely made me feel at ease right away. What I loved most was how relaxed and non-intimidating everything felt. Whether you're a total beginner like I was or someone with experience, Luna del Sol is the kind of place that makes you feel like you belong. I’m already looking forward to my next class!
This is the absolute best ballroom dance studio in the SF Bay Area - it's centrally located and easy to reach from any location. My 12 year old daughter absolutely loves Simona and Lukas - they are the best teachers around and have really inspired her to become a better dancer. There are lots of options for private classes as well as group classes with a great community of kids. I also started taking adult classes and they are really fun and a great workout. Highly recommend!
We had such a wonderful experience learning our wedding first dance with Emrah at Luna del Sol! Neither of us have any dance experience, but Emrah was incredibly patient and encouraging. He taught choreography that was the perfect level for us—challenging enough to look beautiful, but still comfortable and natural. Every lesson was fun and relaxed, and we always left feeling more confident. We’d highly recommend Emrah and Luna del Sol to anyone looking for a wedding dance instructor or just wanting to learn to dance! 💃🕺
Che was a great instructor, really easy to work with and super enthusiastic and creative for our wedding first dance practices! We felt way more confident and coordinated on our big day, so we really appreciated the time and lessons here. Thanks to Che and the whole team at Luna Del Soul!
Luna Del Soul is a magical place where dance becomes a way of life. From the moment you walk in, the studio welcomes you with warmth, light, and a deep sense of community. The energy is uplifting and inspiring — it’s more than just a dance studio, it’s a space for transformation. Lucas and Simona are truly exceptional instructors. They are not only talented and professional, but also incredibly kind, supportive, and passionate about teaching. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, they meet you where you are and help you grow with every class. Their dedication, joy, and attention to detail make every session special. They’ve created a place where you can feel safe, challenged, and empowered — all at the same time.
After a year of learning dance with Simona and Lukas, their passion for dance and dedication of teaching are what I value the most. With this such high standards, I have a hard time to find a suitable one after I moved out of CA, sorry that I have to " blame" them on this ;). I flight back to CA every year to just join their Christmas dance party, I am so happy to see more and more people to find the beauty of the dance with them. ALL THE BEST Luna Del Soul !!! Love.
This studio is truly amazing! The bachata lessons with Tabitha and Emrah are absolutely extraordinary. They create such a fun, welcoming, and professional environment that makes learning both enjoyable and easy. Their passion for dance shines through in every class, and they explain the steps with so much clarity and patience!
I love it when we stumble onto a great new restaurant without much effort - and that would be Cisco's! We were greeted by the friendly host, seated quickly and had our food ordered quickly. I had the shrimp taco plate - the tacos were stuffed with plump shrimp and flavorful. The rice was perfectly cooked. We will definetly be back for the Sunday brunch.
I have lived locally for close to a decade now. During this time, I have been coming to this Cisco location often. I'd say, of all of the places we frequent, this is the most or close second of the frequented restaurants. One thing I like about coming here is that we are seated fast, and great ambiance and prices. It seems no matter when we come, there is always a good amount of people here having a great time. It does appear that things haven't been as busy lately, but still a good amount of people. Talking about people, there are always plenty of staff out and about helping. Whether it is the servers taking orders, and making sure you're doing good, or the server's helpers bringing out the free chips and salsas Another reason I enjoy the server's helpers, they always make sure we are comfortable. We enjoy sitting outside in the afternoons, and they have plenty of outside heat lamps. These helpers make sure you're warm on those cold days. For the most part, all of the staff here have been and are very friendly, which is a plus nowadays. Moving on to their prices and food. We normally only come during happy hour, and the prices and food are good. We have tried several items on their happy hour menu, but lately, we have been gravitating to the TJ street tacos and the sampler platter. The dishes are good considering the price point and considering this is bar food. Another great thing is that this food has always been consistent, and that too is a huge positive in today's economy. I look forward to continuing to come here. UPDATE: Websites didn't even know they decorate very nicely for Christmas and even hosted a night where Santa comes to visit the kids and take pictures. We came on that night and our family had a wonderful and very memorable time. We will continue coming and look forward to next year.
Always friendly, good food and great drinks. I wish they would come up with a queso option, I talk to so many people who agree. Seems so simple
We absolutely love coming to Cisco’s, and a huge part of that is because of Emma! She’s hands-down one of the best waitresses — always so friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes every visit special. It’s such a treat to see her familiar smile every time we come in. She’s the reason we keep coming back!
We love going here for Happy Hour and also special occasions. The patio is lovely. The atmosphere is always positive. The wait staff are always kind and helpful. Service is amazing. Food is always delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant for a lovely dinner or lunch. Even just for a quick bite and a drink of your choice after a long day out is wonderful. Can't say enough good things about Cisco's. Always our first choice for Mexican food. Great prices during Happy hour and regular hours.
I will preface this by saying the last time I came to Ciscos was about twenty years ago and I was served what I forever called string cheese enchiladas. It was terrible!... However! I just went back andIt was delicious! The service was excellent and I could not have been more pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is loud, be it in the bar or dining room, but the food was great and the staff attentive! It was surprisingly busy for a Thursday night but everything that was ordered was received in a timely fashion. I would say that the food is moderately priced but far surpassed there cost with quality! They have definitely upped their game in the last twenty years. Will be coming back again! Update... They do need to perfect their Spanish rice, as it is not that at all! Cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, tomato sauce... It's not rocket science.
Quite possibly the best Mexican food in ventura County if not California, rarely does a Mexican restaurant score perfectly for all my Mexican food desires! Best chips and salsa and I don't take this lightly, it tells a lot about the quality of the rest of the food. Shredded beef crunchy taco, do not miss having one and be sure to add some of that salsa to it, don't be shy! The rice and beans are the best I've had, rarely are they absolutely delicious but here they pay attention to even the sides. THE Chili Relleno made me a believer in this dish, until Ciscos I never loved rellenos, here it's sublime. The shredded beef enchilada with the red rich sauce and melted cheese is Mexican comfort food at it finest. The high quality level of both food and service are beyond impressive, I absolutely love this place.
The staff was so friendly and we had the kindest waitress. We were seated outside very quickly. The menu was laminated and quickly blew away in the wind. Table spacing was satisfactory as well. The food was phenomenal. The ultimate chicken chimichanga really hit the spot and left me wanting more. It was almost too much for me and I am a big guy. Mexican pizza with shredded beef was unmatched even though it was simply an appetizer. Mondays are for margaritas and this place knows how to do them according to my friends. The salsa is a tad spicy, the guacamole is so fresh. So recommended. Will be back for sure.
I had dinner at Cisco's with my wife and toddler son and we really enjoyed our meal. The chips were freshly made and still warm. The salsa was flavorful and slightly spicy. My wife had the vegetarian California tacos plate and I had a spinach and portobello mushroom enchilada, which was cheesy, and delicious. My wife's tacos contained black beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato and avocado. Both dishes were excellent. I guess they believe that vegetarians are naturally healthier eaters, and so they didn't even ask us if we wanted rice as a side dish. Our dishes came with a side of beans and a steamed vegetable, which were delicious, by the way. My dish came with broccoli and my wife's tacos came with peppers, zucchini and broccoli. The veggies were steamed with with garlic, salt and freshly cracked pepper. Cisco's offers a Sunday brunch from 10-2 PM on, well, Sundays! They're very popular for lunch as well as happy hour. I highly recommend you try Cisco's.
I had the baja fish tacos to tacos plus beans and rice. I would give it AB maybe AB plus for the tacos. I was with 6 other people. They had various things , including the burritos , which appeared to be very good .
The chips and salsa hit the spot! If you're in the mood for drinks, this place is a solid choice—especially during happy hour. The food is tasty, though it wouldn’t make my personal top ten. That said, if you're after a lively sports bar vibe with good eats and great drinks, this is definitely the place to be
I’ve been to Cisco’s many times over the years and have always had a pleasant experience. Normally I get my own plate but because the portions are so generous I shared with my dad. We shared the beef stuffed peppers (don’t remember the name on the menu) but it’s basically like a chili relleno with meat. It was serviced with 2 peppers and a side of rice and beans. It was DELICIOUS! The outside layer on the pepper held together nicely. The flavor was delicious. My aunt got an ala carte taco and enchilada and my mom got an ala carte chicken enchilada and fish taco. We were all full but not stuffed and thoroughly enjoyed our food. We will keep coming back!
The atmosphere was very quiet, few patrons on the Sunday l went there (Easter). Staff was distracted and chatty between themselves so they forgot about bringing the drinks, the wait for the food was 'ignored' bc l wasn't in a hurry and the ppl next to me were having a very interesting topic for conversation. The quality of food is good for the location (3⭐). Arrachera beef/steak (6 oz $28) the main course, was good and well cooked but perhaps a bit too much w tenderizer (very chewable, but a bit too salty) l guess that's what gets you to order, either more beer or margaritas!😆 Side portions very, very minimal for the price, 'a smudge' (1.5 table spoons of each). l would say a bit more than disappointing for a Mexican food place. (with family in this industry, l know wholesale beans/rice are reasonably cheap, and so l expected at least, a bit more for a generous portion of those). The premium draft beer size 22 oz ($9) was perhaps the best deal!. Hopefully l will give this location another try this summer.
Reason for visiting: Happy hour Date/time of visit: Thursday, May 16, 2019 ~5:30 PM Parking: in the lot next to restaurant, free Party size: 8 Environment/ambience: environment was fun. Mixed crowd, older and younger and all races. TVs everywhere so it's a good place to catch a game; there wasn't sound on when we were outside. It wasn't too crowded. Bathroom was clean. We sat outside so they had heat lamps on. They also set up TVs outside as well. Service: good service. She came around to check on us. They also flipped the channel on the TV so we can catch the game. Food: had a few appetizers. The Flautas were good. Pork sliders were good. Strawberry margaritas were good, not too sweet. Chips and salsa we're ok. They have some pretty spicy salsa, which was great; most places' spicy salsa isn't really spicy. Cost: not expensive. Drinks off happy hour so it wasn't too expensive. Food wasn't all off happy hour. Less than $20/person, including tip.
