First timer here … I tried Thistle because it was close to my “goto” breakfast place, whose line was too long. I guess it was a blessing in disguise. The food was available fast; and the tacos were tasty—every ingredient, like it was fresh. 😎 I peaked under the tortilla cover and put some sauce on it, which only enhanced the flavor and didn’t cover it up. I also appreciate the conversation while taking the order—not too much, but enough to feel like an individual customer. Nice! I’ll be back to try the rest of the menu!

This is an absolutely lovely little breakfast and lunch spot perfect for anyone working or just visiting nearby in downtown Austin. I've been a number of times now and had many different menu items, and it's always excellent. Moreover, the staff is always extremely warm as well as professional and diligent. The burger is great, the wraps are great, the breakfast tacos and migas plate are great, the people and prices are great - in short, it's great. + The food is consistently delicious. + The workers/management are consistently friendly. + The prices are extremely fair.

Delicious!! I enjoyed the Migas breakfast tacos with some of their mild salsa. The veggies were fresh and crisp. The tortillas tender and warm. This little cafe is tucked between two tall buildings with stairs leading to a little courtyard and the Thistle cafe. Such a great find!

My wife and I stopped in to have a few tacos and a coffee and it was WONDERFUL!!!! I got the blueberry matcha and she got Mexican mocha latte and both were amazing! Not to mention we got two free cookies with our order! I got the Barbacoa and she got the country tacos and it was so delicious I apologize I’m not posting picture because I took one bite and forgot!! 11/10!

Thistle cafe was great. No frills spot for a quick bite. Seemed like they got a lot of buisness people coming in on their lunch break. I ordered 2 tacos and a latte. Tacos were great! Reasonably priced and fast!

Great breakfast tacos! Hot and tasty! Very reasonable priced! Super friendly staff! They gave us free cookies too! For the coffee snobs my latte was made with a one of those automatic coffee machines, not an Expresso machine so it was just ok.

Little small cafe super close to congress av. It has great food at decent and fair prices. Staff is super friendly and welcoming 🙏 The first time I went for breakfast and had the chorizo breakfast tacos and the Immune system cocoa (amazing and different). The second time I went for lunch and loved the beef fajita tacos and a lovely chocolate muffin. I really recommend this place if you want to enjoy nice food and lovely service

Lovely place. Staff is super chill, service is great, and food is delicious and super cheap. This is a place I’ll always try to stop by at for some breakfast tacos. Got the chorizo and a chilaquile tacos.

Amazing breakfast tacos! The Barnyard and Chipotle tacos were so good! The red and green salsas were on point as well! The service was speedy and the customer service is great! Would recommend to everyone and we will definitely come back!

Everything is good. I eat here a lot. I work across the street. Mole enchiladas are good, but lately I'm getting the overnight oats. Today I added a side of bacon. Maybe the best I've ever had. And the service is fantastic. David knows your name and what you order

Delightful stop for a breakfast taco with a super friendly staff and lots of great options. It's on the lower level of an office building, but there's exterior stairs and entrance. Would definitely recommend as a regular spot!

For what it is, it's a solid 5-stars. Thistle is a quick, breakfast spot, serving up delicious, hot breakfast. If you're nearby, it's a hidden gem with getting. The owner is super kind, resulting in excellent and friendly service. We got a variety of tacos, sandwiches, and oats. Everything was delicious and we left satisfied!

Lovely atmosphere here. The waiter was awesome. They answered any and all questions. The food was very affordable. Especially for what you got. I ordered the state burrito and it was very good. Very filling too. It has a self-serve salsa bar and it has a self-serve drink bar in the back. Fast and efficient. And affordable. Highly recommended. Five stars

It's an interesting route to get to this place - feels a little speakeasy like while trying to find it but well worth the weird journey. Amazing service- made to order burgers and some of the best tortilla soup I've ever had! Random food find but what a gem it was!!! Will return. The cookies - so soft and tasty!! Check it out you won't be disappointed.

Came in right before closing accidentally but they were super friendly and didn’t make us feel bad or rushed. Wraps were great and reasonably priced. Place is a little hidden down a staircase but worth looking for! Thanks from AZ.

I had the Al Pastor taco and the veggie garden taco without egg. Both were delicious and it was plenty of food. Order a cookie to go! It is worth it.

DOWNTOWN HIDDEN GEM. The only bad thing about this place is that it is not open every day! I work across the street and go here frequently and tell all my residents about it. Their matcha lattes, breakfast tacos, and lunch specials are so delicious and not to mention, so well priced. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, and their cafe ambiance is nice- always playing a great playlist. I absolutely love it here! No doubt, worth your stop.

3 stars for the coffee. I was out hunting good coffee but Thistle probably is more a breakfast taco or lunch stop. I was excited to try the Immune System Cocoa, especially for the price, but ultimately the espresso was burned and the flavors were disappointing muted. I just couldn’t bring myself to finish it. The beautifully big and tempting blueberry muffin was sadly bland but perfectly sweet enough, but in the end not worth the calories. Should’ve had a taco.
