The food was just amazing in both the taste and presentation, especially for the $18 Texas Two Step, a relatively cheap item on the menu and with multiple choices, all of which I'm sure are excellent. At a perfectly well appointed downtown location.

The truffle fries were delicious, the chili Mac and cheese was awesome! It's pretty much Mac and cheese with a nice kick. Mexican corn was on point and the green beans had a nice fresh taste. My steak was juicy and well done just the way I like it:). The cornbread was stwwe3

We were in Austin for a trade show and had a great dinner at the downtown Roaring Fork. At our table we had a Big Ass Burger, an 8 of filet and another Oscar style. For sides we had the spinach, mushrooms, and the grits. For dessert we had the pecan pie. Everything was cooked well and was delicious. Our server was great and the restaurant is a nice place to have a meal. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in Austin!

Loved this place!! Super classy. Service was amazing even at the bar high tops. We felt cared after. Wine-top notch! Steak-lovely! Side dishes-AMAZING. The chili mac & cheese was yummy! Also green colored but delicious. The mashed potatoes were creamy. Not a huge fan of the Caesar salad as the dressing felt very oily. But it was a large salad. Overall such a cosy restaurant & everything was delicious. Even the dessert. Reservations recommended unless you come early to grab a large high top table but the bar.

Great food at the Roaring Fork complimented with friendly service. Admittedly I was here for a private event, but the overall experience was enjoyable and this will definitely be on my list the next time I'm in the city. I had the Iceberg BLT, 8oz Filet Mignon (exceptionally cooked) and finishing up with the raspberry cheesecake. We also had a couple of sides, with the jalapeno Mac 'n' cheese a particular standout. Highly recommended.

March 2025 The Roaring Fork is an upper-scale business friendly restaurant not only for your high rollers but a great place for a romantic night out. It’s also a great place where can enjoy a nice dinner before a show at the Paramount Theatre. You can valet your vehicle there at the Stephen F Austin Royal Sonesta Hotel. I have dined here before but usually at the bar which has a atmosphere. But this time seated in the dining room section. It was not very crowded where seemed like everyone wants to hang out in the bar section. It was peaceful and quiet with great personalized service. The dinner menu had a nice selection of options and decided to order the Rotisserie Chicken. The chicken smelled and looked delicious and was very presentable. It has great color and texture sitting on top of cornbread stuffing, brussels sprouts and, and lemon garlic jus as described on the menu. It had great flavor and succulent not including the cornbread stuffing. It was really good. We definitely had a memorable experience.

Great location (right in the middle of downtown) and excellent delicious food. I came here for a private event - the inside was very spacious and cozy with plenty of seating, and great service. The food was lip smackingly delicious. The File Mignon was top class, and flavorful. Everything else from the salad, accompaniment, to the dessert were all fantastic. Highly recommended Steakhouse.

Visited the Roaring Fork on a Wednesday night and got in without reservation, party of 4. Had a great server, didn't rush us at all. The have good drinks and then came the appetizers. Without a doubt go with the cornbread. It was ridiculously good. Several of the group had the filet and really liked it, I can say the salmon is solid, the mashed potatoes were great. Definitely a spot to hit in Austin.

Glad we stumbled on this place walking by on a Friday night! The food was actuallly really delicious. Typically I’m not a huge fan of American food (prefer my spices) but the Ahi tuna was delicious. My husband had a roasted chicken dish that was moist and not dry with cornbread that was scrumptious . The drinks are high quality! We recommend the garden and the Fitzgerald! It was strong and flavorful ! The vibe is cozy Victorian American The only thing is service is painstakingly slow so that’s why 4/5

Met some friends here during my visit to Austin. I made the reservation while on the east coast and didn't realize that the time did not convert correctly. The day I landed, I received a reminder about my appointment for an hour later than I expected. A phone call to the restaurant, and they were able to update the reservation time easily. Thankfully, they weren't fully booked. My friends and I were seated immediately upon arriving. Our server was very helpful and friendly. The water did not taste very good here. It had a soapy taste to it. I did tell the server, and she replaced it, but it still had a horrible taste. Everyone enjoyed their food, but my friends (who've never had mussels) and my daughter RAVED about the mussels. They were ABSOLUTELY delicious. There were many items on the menu that piqued my interest, and I can't wait to return to this beautiful city to try them all. A DEFINITE recommend 4/5.

Food was good. Service was a little slow at first, but good after that. Spent $160 + tip and they charged a $1 for the big ice cube they put in my old fashioned (that I didn't specifically ask for). Really?

The cornbread was not cooked enough. My filet was ordered medium. It came cooked half medium and half well done. Which i dont see how that is possible. Service was very good. Honestly, the North Stone Lake location is much better

Rainbow Trout - Good, no complaints. Mash Potatoes - Good, no complaints. Ribeye - The ribeye was not well trimmed at all, way too fatty. Fat was not really rendered all that well either. Ribeye was also basically crustless, and had the texture of something which just came out of a sous vide, no sear. There was also basically no cap on the ribeye - understand this depends on where it was cut but I'd expect a steakhouse to at least offer ribeye with a small / no cap under a different menu item. Ribeye was also a little under medium rare, and some spots were definitely rare. Steak Mushrooms - Way too salty. Not sure if salted before sauteed in steak oils, but certainly tasted like it. Cherry Pie Desert - A cherry pit made its way into the cherry filling. Obviously irritating but also hazardous for teeth. At nearly $100 per person I expect much higher quality, not Texas Roadhouse quality. III Forks is only just above that price point and has flawless execution every time.

Service was great, food was horrible. The caesar salad had "spicy" croutons that had no hint of seasoning in them. The salad was a mound of small chopped lettuce that just had parmesan on it, no dressing! Or very minimal dressing. The bacon wrapped pork tenderloin was incredibly dry and tasted like nothing. Then the dessert of chocolate cake was dense and dry. How do you make cake dry...an absolute feat. The one tasty thing was green chili mac n cheese. Otherwise, hard pass on this expensive restaurant that doesn't deliver.
