It took me several years to return to Rudy's because the chicken was dry (at another location). An event brought me to this location and it did not disappoint! This location was spacious and clean. Their green chili stew was amazing! The meat and poultry were not dry, they were moist and flavorful! Their 3 bean salad and other sides were delicious too. I didn't get a chance to take any photos! I will have to return soon and get some bbq sauce to take home.

The food Is great and the atmosphere is nice. There is one thing I would like to point out. When you get the moist brisket sometimes it's really juicy and falls in your mouth. Other times it's harder even though it's the same brisket. Probably one side gets more juicy? It's a hit or a miss but still great.

Omg Rudy’s BBQ has the best brisket!! I love BBQ and I’ve been to many BBQ establishments and Rudy’s brisket is amazing!! The consistency is there! The flavor is there! The tenderness is there!! I’ve never gotten old dried (old stock) from here! The potato salad is damn good along with the bbq beans!! The 🍑 peach cobbler goes pretty hard too! You just have to make sure it’s not from the pan that’s been sitting on the heat for along time. If you get a side of peach cobbler from a fresh pan, it is amazing!! It’s not over seasoned with ingredients like I’ve experienced at some establishments. It’s the perfect blend!

I took my '35 Ford pickup to a carshow held at the restaurant. I had smoked brisket breakfast tacos that morning with coffee. Later for lunch I had the huge chopped beef potato. The place is clean, and the employees were friendly. Great food. There was outdoor seating. Rudy's is a favorite.

Rudy’s has the most delicious smoked brisket. I love that I can get two large baked potatoes topped with brisket & feed 4 small kids & myself for decent price - healthy food too. (Works for our food sensitivities) Their take it is great too- prompt & kind car side delivery. I do wish it was a little quieter inside for meeting friends & being able to hear each other.

Today I was welcomed in with friendly hello from Leah. There was no wait. I ordered a baked potato, with butter, cheese, and spicy chop on the side. My potato was hot, baked to perfection. He gave it a couple of gentle squeezes before he opened it. It loosened the potato to receive the toppings. My potato was big and delicious. No way I was eating it all in one sitting. The potato was fresh, soft, fluffy.., just like I like it. The spicy chop was flavorful. I added the SISSY sauce and blessed my meal. It was the BEST potato! I think the atmosphere and accommodations were excellent, definitely has the country feel perfected and I was impressed by their barbecue setup. The food was a mixed bag but I think that was because it was actually really good. I'm too use to places loading their food and sauces with tons of sugar and they didn't, so while some of the taste and flavor wasnt what I was expecting at first, I actually appreciate that they didnt just pour sugar and salt on everything.

I had a craving for BBQ, so I called up Rudy's and placed a curbside order for pickup. The person who took my order over the phone was friendly & courteous. Upon arriving at the store, I called it to have my order out to my car. They even brought out a mobile payment terminal, so I could pay without even walking in. The brisket sandwich was very good. Brisket was nice and moist. The only minor complaint I have, was the brisket was a bit cold, although that might have been due to the fact that I had to go pick it up. I didn't ask for the extra bread, since I had the sandwich, but it came in handy to finish off the container of BBQ "Sause" (As they call it). The potato salad was good as well. All in all a very good meal and I will be back.

This is craziness. It's always been crazy expensive but this morning is the last time we will stop in. The breakfast tacos and everything else have doubled and tripled in price. The tacos are now stupidly expensive and super small compared to what they used to be. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

No smiles or greetings when we walked in. It was our first time and there were 5 girls at the front and not one acknowledged my husband or me. We stood for a few seconds until I walked over and interrupted their conversation to ask what to do. At the ordering counter there was no charm or smiles. The food was good. The baby back ribs were meaty and tender, but the chopped brisket baked potato wasn't up to par compared to other bbq places around Tomball. The meat to potato ratio was way off. I had half the potato left without meat. The fixings were VERY chintzy. Another thing is that you are not served on plates. That baked potato really needed to be in a bigger paper boat. And who serves bbq without some sort of bread!!! Lastly, nobody came by to see if we were doing okay or if we needed anything. Not sure how they are staying in business in Tomball. Rib Tickler, Valley Ranch, and Harris County Smokehouse have great service ambiance, and good ole charm.

The food was good, my brisket sandwhich was delicious but I did wish they had a few more side options like mac and cheese, most sides are cold options. The atmosphere is okay. Tipping is weird, the person who takes your order seems to be the one who prepares your food but drinks are self serve and you have to pick up after yourself after you're done eating. Its ok. I got .25 lbs of brisket, an IBC cream soda, and a tub of potato salad. Came out to $25! A bit much. The brisket was decent, nothing special. The potato salad was good, nice and fresh. I was really craving some good BBQ, so I asked my wife to stop at Rudy’s off 249 and order me moist cut brisket and pork ribs. Unfortunately, we she arrived home and handed me the Rudy’s bad and I dug in, I was super sad and disappointed. The brisket that was supposed to be moist came out dry and lacking flavor. The pork ribs were the same, dry and tasteless, with none of that smoky, juicy BBQ flavor you’d expect from Rudy’s. For a place known for Texas BBQ, the quality just wasn’t there this time. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was such a letdown, especially since I had been looking forward to it all day. I love Rudy’s BBQ, so I’m just going to chalk it up to an “OFF” day. Hopefully they make up for it at my next visit.

We live in the neighborhood and this is our go to for bbq which has been constantly good except yesterday. Moist brisket inner cut looked and smelled like it was old. First time trying Rudy’s after hearing good things about this restaurant. I ordered 1/2 rack of baby back ribs = 3 ribs.My boyfriend ordered 1 lb of brisket. My ribs were dry and it had clumps of fat that tasted horrid. My boyfriend’s brisket was dry and the fat was not rendered.I tried his brisket and the meat had no flavor. The “Barbecue sause” they had on the table is a mixture of ketchup and hotsauce and a tiny bit of barbecue sauce. We will not go back again. We came here last night for my son’s birthday, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing first (and last) visit. The place wasn’t busy — only one party, two couples, and us outside — yet the food took a while and was extremely overpriced. We spent $82 for very little food, and while we don’t eat much, it still didn’t feel worth it. What really bothered me was the setup: no real plates, just a piece of paper to eat off of. For the prices they charge, that was frustrating. They also didn’t do anything special for birthdays (no “Happy Birthday” song), although one staff member did bring my son a banana pudding, which we appreciated. Overall, the gesture was nice, but the food, pricing, and overall experience just didn’t match. Sadly, we won’t be returning. I usually take pictures of our food, but yesterday that was embarrassing I didn’t want to take a picture of it.
