We booked a table for 5 for Brunch with Santa on Dec. 15 and were very excited to try the food out for the first time since we live about 20 minutes away and have never tried it! When we got there we didn't find any signs pointing us towards the brunch or any people who could direct us so I went to the front desk at the inn to ask and was told where to go (upstairs dining area). It felt a bit unorganized but the place is beautiful and I was willing to be patient. We had signed up for the 10am brunch and the line at the door was very long so next time we might sign up for the later session to see if there might be less of a wait. Fortunately the line did move well once the doors opened. We were seated but again, no instructions as to whether we should go to the the buffet or wait to be asked. Finally saw everyone else getting on line so we did too, but the line was long and disorganized and it probably would have helped to have someone guiding people to the different lines. I have to say the food was fabulous though, but we felt rushed to leave and our server was taking plates away before we were done eating, so we had to hang on to our food since getting seconds was almost impossible! Also felt like the people serving at the buffet were giving such small portions that next time we might have to grab 2 plates or miss out on any seconds! I had gotten a small piece of French toast that was delicious, but the server gave me no blueberries and I had to ask, but only got 5 little blueberries, which is OK, but when I went back up an hour later, the food was already put away. Since they were in such a rush, when we got the check, my husband paid and I never looked at his receipt. We got home and I got the emailed receipt and looked and saw that they had charged us $48 for our 2 year old grandson who was supposed to be free. They also automatically added 18% for gratuity, which is fine, but we are trying to get in touch with the restaurant to get a credit for the overcharge. Also, my grandson never got his photo with Santa because that line was so slow and long that my son and daughter in law gave up on waiting. They did get his free ride on the carousel and that was nice. The place is beautiful, the food is fabulous, service could be better, but I'm a huge believer in trying a second time so we are in the midst of trying to get a credit for the $48 we were overcharged so we can return for another brunch soon and hopefully have a better experience in this beautiful place.

The location and views are amazing, and the interior decor matches very well. The servers were kind. The breakfast buffet tasted good, not great. Given the buffet options, the price was a little high. $123.85. I would be willing to pay half of what we get charged for the food. I guess $61 is for the monopoly of the location.

We were there for New Year's Eve (without a reservation) so they put us in a small side room. First off, our cocktails were terrific. We were also grateful to get ANY seating, given the holiday, but the side room they put us in felt drab. The lighting in that room was "cold" (fluorescent?) and there was a faint attempt at ambiance (no candles, for instance). They seemed to be understaffed as they forgot us being in the side room (there were 4 other couples). We had to remind our server, who was always kind and apologetic) a few times about food items missing. Our Caesar salad was plain and a expensive but our burgers were tasty! It's too bad because we know the history of this lodge and expected something warmer.

Went there for thanksgiving dinner and was disappointed. The food just wasn’t good. Much of it was bland. But the worst thing about it was the lines. The buffet line snaked around the whole restaurant, and as a result, every time you went up it was a 20-25 minute wait on line. The practical effect of this was that if you go there with your family, there are long periods of time that you are just standing in line, not with your family. I would not go again.

It's a beautiful atmosphere with beautiful views of the mountains. outside the windows. I went there for the afternoon high tea and the food was good but the pot of tea was lukewarm, and the waitress said she could do nothing about it.. It was also very cold in the restaurant, it felt like the air conditioning was on and cold. Air was actually blowing out the vents, some of us had to keep our jackets on. The waitress told us that the temperature is set and nothing could be done about it. This restaurant would be a great place if the service was better and the management took some care to make sure the temperature and the dining room was comfortable.

I’ve been going here since the 70’s when I was a little girl. They are RUNNING this place into the ground. Such a shame! They lost our reservation that was made SIX weeks prior. The food was mediocre and there wasn’t much of it……especially with the price of the buffet. As a vegetarian there was hardly anything I could eat. The servers were clearing so quickly you barely had time to eat. They rushed us out. Super annoying! They won’t be in business much longer. The parent company GUEST SERVICES couldn’t care less. They don’t answer the phone or return calls. WHAT A DISGRACE OF A LANDMARK!!!!! Great job you suck!

Very disappointing experience at Restaurant 1915. The restaurant was less than half full, yet we waited 45 minutes after being seated and never received our food. We ordered a starter that never came, and we had to repeatedly flag down the server just to get basic updates. Despite the follow-ups, no one could explain the delay, and no one checked in on their own. After nearly an hour of waiting with no food and no real communication, we finally just left. Really unfortunate because the place looked nice, but the service was unacceptable.

Used to be a great place w better food,. Now, Very disappointed in the service. Even the first interaction with the hostess over the phone to make reservation was not smooth, she pretended it was booked solid when it was mostly empty when we arrived. Then Food was mediocre at best. Appetizers took forever. Bread was basic. Service very slow and unreliable. Over-priced. Much better restaurants in neighboring towns with better service!

Absolutely the worst service ever! We ordered food and drinks. Drinks were only served to half of the table. The other half was served only after having to ask repeatedly. Kelly our server was visually annoyed. We ordered our food shortly after 1pm amd by 230 only 4 soups had been brought to the table. Kelly, our server was down right rude, dismissive and belligerent when we asked how much longer because we had a 3 pm wedding rehearsal. Kelly stepped up her gane and was rude to the bride and parents. The chef came out to kindly make amends. We left without eating. Won't be back!

We waited for almost an hour for the food. No waiters in sight for explanation in between. The house burger was served warm and the french fries had mix of old potatoes that was refried many times with new ones. Food was just so bad and no appetite left for desserts even the restaurant did offer for free for the long wait of the foods. Another side note, we also asked to change table and was told to talk to our server where no one was in sight to check. long wait of the food, no servers in sight to assist. food was served k lukewarm and old. will never return.
