I love bringing my family to Touch of Italy. It is a nice little place with true comfort food. I enjoy everything I have ordered there. We typically order lasagna, chicken parm, salad. While it's sometimes busy (especially since the pandemic) it is definitely a nice little spot to enjoy some good warm food on a cold wintery day. Definitely recommend.
Food was plentiful and it was absolutely delicious. Petrine was my server and she was one of the best servers I have ever had in WNY. She was extremely friendly, helpful, informative and very attentive to my desires/questions. Due to her great service and food, I ended up buying 3 gift cards as gifts to my family.
Been there many times. Usually good service. Not tonight. Server forgot some soups, auctioned off food ( didn't know who got what), had us pass food to each other, and she did not pre-bus hardly at all. Came and left our table 3times and didn't take away one plate. Left us sitting at a mess.
The BEST pizza, friendly & pleasant service, decent prices.
I ordered pizza and chicken fingers for dinner the other night. The pizza was delicious and chicken fingers were crispy as requested. When I picked up my food, the cashier offered to carry my food to my car beings I had my hands full with my toddler. Beyond appreciative for her. Will definitely be ordering from them again.
Wow. First time curbside catering takeout. Great choice!! Got a pan of lasagna, meatball, sausage and a quart of meat sauce. I enjoyed the lasagna/shell combo normally. But I was overwhelmed with the size and great taste. The whole family really love the lasagna and sides. Lots of meat and cheese. Made a great Christmas dinner, next day lunch and dinner. Not complaining just enjoying it for 4 meals. I will be back again. Oh so Good!! If you what a wonderful meal . Stop here.
The food speaks for itself. Worth every penny with large portions to share or save for leftovers.
I have been going since they opened when "Grandma" was in the kitchen. My family still went when I moved out of state but we always make at least 1 trip while we are in town. It is as good as any of the more "famous" Italian restaurants in Buffalo. Great taste, excellent portion sizes, and friendly. I had the baked spaghetti parmesan with a side of meatballs!!
Charming atmosphere! Michelle made us feel so welcome, like being served by a dear friend! Authentic Italian food cooked by a real Sicilian! It will be difficult to eat the same dishes at our neighborhood Olive Garden! You can taste Italy 🇮🇹 here! Chicken parm, pep pizza and lasagna/hot bread/ butter was our order and 100 percent delicious 😋 😍
Craving a little pasta one afternoon and stumbled upon this hidden Italian restaurant Gem!! Portion size was Gigantic and food quality was better than olive garden!!! The waitress we had was very good and a hard worker! She was waiting and serving all the tables during the time we went. We didn't wait for drink refills or any other needs...hands down a great overall experience! We will def. Be back!!
The food and service were excellent. I am very picky about my sauce and theirs is the best I've had in a restaurant. Definitely check out their daily specials. We had a large group for a family Birthday and almost everyone ordered a special. The prices, variety, and quality were A+. Everyone was delighted with their meal.
The food was the best Italian since I've been to Italy, the server was attentive and checked in frequently, and the atmosphere was quite lovely. Only disappointment was in myself for never having been here before!
BEST red sauce I’ve ever had!!! Amazing eggplant parm. Looking forward to trying more off the menu. And even better than the food, was the amazing staff...so friendly and professional. Made me feel like a valued customer and like it was a joy to serve me and my family. Will definitely be back 😊
This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. Portions are huge! Service is hit or miss but the food is always great. Their sauce is a little sweet but I like it that way. Their pizza is very good too.
Was very pleased with our visit to touch of Italy! We were able to get a table right away at 6pm on a Friday night and the staff was very friendly. The food was phenomenal- my favorite is Chicken Alfredo and it was great! I ordered the small and that was plenty. Will definitely be coming back to try the pizza - it looked delish!
Smaller, quaint, very clean restaurant. The staff is friendly and attentive. The chicken parm, warm bread and meatballs were delicious. The lasagna and stuffed shells were just okay. We definitely will be going back.
Never disappoints! Eggplant Parm is my favorite. There are so many great items on this menu it would be hard to name them all.
Met friends for impromptu dinner. Portions were extremely generous and taste was excellent. My husband and I each go 2 extra meals from the leftover eggplant parmesan and shrimp Alfredo. Prices so reasonable, service fast and friendly.
I enjoyed my lunch here both days. Had the turkey sub, it was good turkey, nice bread, toasted perfectly. Went back the next day and had spaghetti with meatball lunch special. I really enjoyed the sauce, and it was a good sized meatball. Be sure to check the lunch special menu if you go for lunch.
Fantastic food and not too bad prices. Service was a little lackluster but they seemed busy so not a huge deal, but my wife did spend about half our meal with no water and I kinda wanted to ask for a different drink but never got the chance. Not a reflection on the restaurant necessarily but if I could give 4.5 stars for that I would.
My hubby and I ordered take out this evening. We both got the lasagna and stuffed shells platter. Absolutely to die for and the portions were enormous. The side salad was fresh, crisp, and delicious too. Will definitely be ordering again!!
A local favorite with good reason! The food is delicious. Have had many different things there over the years, dine in and takeout I never had anything that wasn’t yummy. In addition to items listed below I also recommend the chicken parmagiana and the calzone.
This is hands down one of our favorite restaurants in Buffalo! Cozy, friendly and always hits it out of the park on taste and execution. We are foodies and choose this place for an Italian feast every time! Bravo!!
Man, this place was amazing! After a long day of hard work, me and some of my family didn’t have food all day. No breakfast, lunch or any type of snacks. We weren’t in the mood to cook so we decided to head to Olive Garden since we were craving Italian food. The Olive Garden near us had a hour long wait, so we checked some other Italian spots near us. We called 3 or 4 different restaurants, all telling us of their huge wait times. Then we finally called up Touch of Italy, who told us that they had seating available. So we rushed over there immediately. This place did not disappoint at all. First of all, our waitress was extremely friendly. Second, the food was amazing! I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo as it’s one of my favorite Italian dishes. Let me tell you that the fettuccine Alfredo that this place does blows Olive Garden out of the water. Since our first visit, we have tried their pizza, spaghetti, Chicken Marsala as well as a few other items. Every single thing we have tried has been a 10/10. If you are ever feeling Italian and you want to go to Olive Garden, DON’T DO IT! Go to this place instead. Your stomach will thank you later.
Everything was delicious. The sauce was amazing, lots of Ricotta in the shells. Eggplant Parmesan was totally amazing. We came from Indiana looking for a great place to eat,and we found it here.
Went recently with friends for late lunch. Ordered off the lunch special menu. Food was excellent, large portions and priced accordingly. One of our favorite restaurants!
My first visit here and was not disappointed. Cute atmosphere with friendly service and good food. Spouse enjoyed her chicken parmesan and myself stuffed shells. Included a small house salad. This isn't some gourmet Italian and there wasn't white linen either. Just honest food, served hot and fresh.
Stopped in for lunch today and was greeted by Noelle. She seated us and took our order. My wife had spaghetti and meatballs, I had spaghetti with Italian sausage, both meals were delicious. We have been there before and have always had great meals. Noelle is an excellent waitress and an asset to the restaurant.
Amazing food selection and huge portions. Servers we should friendly and attentive.
Hadn’t had TOI in a long time and so happy we did! Pizza was sooo good made in the traditional Buffalo style. Semi-sweet sauce, ample mozzarella, and cup and char… fingers were sauced perfectly, and they included excellent French fries… definitely adding it back into our pizza rotation!
This is by far my family’s favorite Italian place in the area. The portions are big and can last an extra day as leftovers. I love their chicken Parmesan pasta dish and their Alfredo broccoli special. If you dine in, the waitresses are always friendly and helpful. I also recommended doing take out if you don’t feel like coming in because the food is always piping hot once you arrive.
Get ready for delicious Italian cuisine. With Primo sauce. And you better bring your appetite for big servings & a nice wine list. You’ll love the Layout of this really cool restaurant design too.
Always have enjoyed their authentic large, and very well prepared Italian dishes. After thirty years , it always satisfied us completely. Stop in and say hi to Louie.
Great food. Service was fast.
Was not busy so I felt Waitress need to come back sooner then she did. We waited for boxes and our check. I had to ask another waitress to get our waitress. Bus girl was just standing there and saw us looking around yet didn't say anything.
Touch of Italy is my restaurant of choice if I'm looking for Italian food. They feature a sweet sauce and both the meatballs and sausages are outstanding. Portions are substantial and I recommend ordering the small if you want to to be full but not take anything home. For a couple of dollars more, the large leaves enough for a full meal the next day. The entrees include items like baked ziti, chicken cacciatore and chicken parmesan. All are good and you won't go wrong no matter which you pick. I suggest skipping the salad and antipasto. Both are made of mainly iceberg lettuce and any included ham or pepperoni seem like store bought Oscar Meyer brand. Likewise with the included dinner roll. If the package it came from didn't have colored dots and say "Wonder" on it I'd be surprised. However, don't let those lapses of judgement keep you from some of the best Italian sweet sauce in the Buffalo area. BTW, they serve pizza also. Those pies lot tasty but I'm there for the pasta.
My mother-in-law took us out to dinner. Though the restaurant was busy, the service was excellent, with minimal delays. Every staff member we came in contact with was friendly, helpful, and great at their jobs. The food was excellent as always. And serving sizes were generous. Most of us took home lunch for the next day! No one left hungry. We had a lovely evening.
Great time, the food was the best. Great spot for special occasions!
You guys have the best sauce! I bought 5 quarts for take out and made pasta and meatballs for a party. Everyone loved it. The woman who took my order on the phone and cashed me out was super friendly too. Thank you!
We frequent this restaurant often because of the location, great service, delicious sauce and fair pricing. The portions are huge! They are always consistent! We love it there!
Service was wonderful Atmosphere was great as was food. Place was very busy. Very classy place with average prices
Huge portions, good food, and great staff. We were here YEARS ago when visiting town. We specifically searched this place out again this time, and it was even better than we remembered. The restaurant is up front while carry out is in the rear, and has its own door. Everything was perfect 👌
Fantastic food. Bread was served still steaming, the pasta was still hot enough to almost scald my mouth and lips. Staff was friendly. A very satisfying meal.
I ate here for lunch. There was a special for spaghetti with meatballs for a very reasonable price. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly with great sauce. It had two goodsize meatballs. Also, the bread was good. It would help if it was sliced. It is a bit confusing when you first walk in. You see a dark room to the right. I started to think it was closed. But they have another room to the left with lots of windows. I believe there were tables and booths. Waitress was friendly and checked on us from time to time. I definitely would come back.
Only place for authentic Italian cuisine. You have to appreciate the hard work & dedication it takes to run a family owned and operated business. Your time is not your own. In order to offer the quality & portion size,at the reasonable price that they do,profit margins are slim to none. It takes a special kind of family to persist and exist in a market full of flash frozen food franchises. If you do decide to enjoy a homemade boil down sauce made fresh daily, with flavor that is deliciously authentic Italian, then please be patient & enjoy the ambiance. You won't regret it. Your stomach and pocket book will thank you. Awesome,Awesome,Awesome dining experience. I can't wait to return again.
This restaurant has been around for decades and is still one of the finest, not so pricey, Italian, comfy, cozy kind of place. The waitress was awfully sweet and has been working there a while ( longevity). Sorry about the pics, we just dug right on in and I never got pics of hubby's food. It was so yum-o-licious. A must for your eating adventure with a feel of being at grandmas kitchen table with the pot of sauce cooking! Definitely get the meatballs too.
While visiting Niagara we were told to try this place out & we’re glad we did. It was very busy but the service was great & the food was quickly prepared. Huge portions & phenomenal food. Everyone in our family tried other peoples meals & we all loved it. Highly recommend. Come hungry & still leave with enough for lunch the next day!
I've been eating here since I was a little girl. The ravioli is great, along with every other pasta dish I've tried. My husband almost always gets the shrimp Alfredo, and my kids love spaghetti (as all kids do lol) their subs are also done right, and delicious! Edit to add: we tried the pizza today. It's alright. The sauce is a little sweet.
This is an Italian restaurant that feels like a typical diner, complete with paper placements and cramped seating. As such, I was surprised to see the entrées were well over $20 each. We both ordered Linguini with white clam sauce. The portions were enormous and there were a lot of clams in the generous serving of sauce. Personally I felt that the white clam sauce was a bit bland. The bread and butter was warm sub rolls, and tasted very fresh. My favorite part of the meal. Our server, Patrina, was the best part of our dining experience. Patrina was extremely attentive.
We ordered out and they have outstanding food. My only issue was... that mushrooms were asked for on a steak sub. The response was we cant do mushrooms. There are mushrooms for pizzas, mushrooms for tortellini alfredo, and chicken marsala, yet no mushrooms for a steak sub?! Again great food but that is very confusing!
Food always taste good. Waitress could have been more attentive. She asked how food was after most of it was eaten. From my own waiter experience, you should be back to table and checking with customer within a minute of delivery of food. Otherwise, nice place.
This was a very tasty spot to eat I had never been here before and a friend of mine who is a talion as I am took me. The 4 of us had a delicious meal good price for the area. It was pack it was standing Room only. There was no place to park, it's a small place with a great flavor of food. Obviously very popular on a Saturday night go early.
The prices are reasonable Post covid wise. The staff is very amicable. One note:Be aware that this is a sweet sauce place. I am personally not a fan of sweet tomato sauce. So when I dine there I stay away from anything offered that is tomato based. They have a large selection of other Italian dishes to choose from.
This restaurant was good, but probably won't be in our regular rotation. Had seats available on a busy Friday night when Texas Roadhouse was a 1 hour wait. We sat by the window and it was really drafty. Wait staff was attentive. Prices were a little higher than I would have expected given the homely and somewhat dated atmosphere of the restaurant. There was a wide variety on the menu and the food was good. Kids meals were very expensive for comparible restaurants(10 dollars plus drink).
I enjoyed the atmosphere and their linguine and red clam sauce.
A little disappointed, this is my favorite place for tripe ( although I may try Bobby j’s now ) but the past 2 times I have picked it up, it’s like 90% sauce, with tiny little bits of tripe. Still have to give 4 stars because they do give you a side of spaghetti and side salad, but I’d rather take more tripe in the sauce than the sides :/ treated myself and really disappointed with a bowl of sauce.
As a person who loves italian, I can say that this was just good. It's not as spectacular as many of the ratings I see, though. I think the sauce is a bit sweet? The portions are huge, and you will easily get several or more meals out of it.
This was a really nice little spot, reasonably priced. I got a platter so I could try a little bit of everything, definitely didn't finish it all. The tomato sauce was a little on the sweet side, which I am not use to but I threw some pepper on it and it was soooo good! The staff was very nice and helpful. I will definitely go back if I am in the area.
Been coming here for over 30 years. We will still come here but probably for take out. Seating took over 50 minutes when we were told 20. Forgot 2 of our dishes. When they came out, they were Luke warm. No one ever came to refill waters or seen if we need anything else. It was tough for the kids.
Nice atmosphere, service was good. Large portion sizes for the price you pay, but the food itself is just alright. Nothing exceptional. I had one lasagna, the sauce was a little sweeter than I prefer. My wife had the fettuccine alfredo with chicken, the sauce was bland, although had a decent amount of garlic, the chicken not so great.
We're semi-regular here and the food is usually good. It's quite inconsistent though however. Sometimes you get very bitter tasting sauce and overcooked chicken. We prefer getting take out here as the last time we were here, the service was iffy. Easy dinner with spaghetti and a meatball for my kid however the meatball had something wrong with it. May have been freezer burnt and hate to say but dirty tasting. Not going to prevent us coming back but like I said, hit it miss.
I have mixed feelings on this restaurant. Pros- they accommodated our large group well and gave us our own area, and resisted the urge to start clearing our cups as closing neared, leaving us free to not feel rushed as we wrapped up, and portions are large enough for 3 meals for the large. Cons- 2 of our orders were entered wrong and came out with different dishes, the food was brought out with no pattern and they were just shouting dish names because it could've come from any of the tables we ordered from, and there was no phone service for me in there which might be a positive for those looking for a nice family dinner. The food itself was basic pasta + sauce + mix-ins, heavy on the sauces. It wasn't anything special or authentic, but it was warm on a cool night and a nice meeting place to catch up with friends.
I'm updating my review after another less than good dinner.I ordered stuffed shells and lasagna. First it was greatly overcooked and cold. Sent it back.. it was returned warm and mushy. Inedible. Told our server but replacement was not offered. .Truly bad experience. Husbands fish fry was ok. Cost $49+tip and I'm home eating cereal.
It was ok. Large portions. Homemade meatballs. Sauce was a bit sweet. Service, food, atmosphere all fine but nothing to make me want to return...I was hoping the atmosphere would be more warm and family-oriented.
My family likes this place. I can take it or leave it. I've never felt like any of the servers care whether you're happy or not. Food is OK. They serve warmed sub rolls as the bread. It lacks effort. With the prices for pasta, I just think home is where it's at. The shining moment is their cannoli that's filled when ordered. However they fill from each end and too often the middle is empty.
The server was wonderful! I just wish the food was just as good. My fiancé's eppi roll was undercooked and not seasoned. My soup & baked ziti were also lacking flavor. I was really disappointed 😔
The food was just ok. This was our first time ordering from here since moving to Tonawanda. Sauce a little too sweet and I was surprised that the "fresh bread" was a sub roll. Chicken parm was under seasoned. I'll give the pizza a try before I count them out.
Terrible service never checked on us till we were almost finished. Ordered Chicken Alfredo which came out lukewarm at best, and had hidden clumped hard noodles buried under newer pasta on top, not sure if this is how they're covering their mistakes of properly cooked pasta but don't appreciate the lackidaisal attitude of the server when these issues were brought to her attention. Yes , agree portions are huge and flavors might be on point had the entrees been hot ,but when two different entrees have the same issues of overcooked, hardened hidden pasta there indeed is a food quality issue and when the service is sub par, thanks but no thanks, I just can't overlook and instead I'll pass going here again.
My family comes to this restaurant for most of our birthdays and anniversaries… and is usually very decent. Except for the one time they forgot the chicken on out chicken finger sub…. As well as a bug crawling out of the pasta my boyfriend ordered. They brought a new one out, but no one took it off the bill and not manager came out to make sure the new one was okay. Very disappointed that a restaurant we regularly go to is getting worse at service.
We arrived to see about 6 ahead of us waiting to be seated. A waitress said it would be 15 minutes. No problem. A lady came in a party of 9 with reservations however they sat and they got back up said they could not seat yet. Very odd. They had open tables but a huge party in the other room. That party of 9 sat back down and was told they didn’t know how long before they could order as the kitchen was behind with the party. If you knew you were having 30 people bring in more wait staff and additional cooks. Waitress was so rude to them and us. We left!
I was really excited to go back to this place for dinner as i remember it being really good. Went in tonight and we had spaghetti parm. Food was good. Service not so much. The only time we saw the waitress was when she brought our drinks and food. When she brought our food, we asked her for more bread and napkins. Never saw her again until we were done eating. And we were waiting after that. When she came to the table, I asked for a refill, to go box and the bill. She left the table. Then had some other Waitress come over and give us what we needed. Now thinking maybe she was just busy but the 2 tables next to us she asked if they needed anything and ignored us. I now will think twice about going here and I will stop recommending it as well.
I went for lunch yesterday. I ordered a Royal Sub, 1st it came with Italian links. Well the Italian sausage was hard and very chewy. I complained and the waitress gave me a sad face and walked away. Never offered to take it off the bill My friend had Tripe. It's supposed to be small pieces. The pieces were tough and chewy. Will never go back.
We have been eating at this restaurant for years ! We even had my husband's 50 th Birthday party there ! Thirty years ago ! I was thinking about their delicious lasagna for weeks now ! Placed an order tonight! I was so disappointed the sauce was bland and the cheese layer was soft and runny ! My husband ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with veggies! The noodles were swimming in a bland white sauce ! The veggies appeared to mixed frozen vegetables tossed in the sauce! I will continue to get my pizza, wings and subs there ! But not any pasta dinners !
Disappointed again. I ordered takeout and they told me 30 minutes. I arrived well before the 30 minutes and the food was ready as it was in the warmer. I ordered the lasagna and baked ziti and a Sicilian pizza. The food was warm at best. The lasagna hardly had any meat and the pizza was awful. I don't know why I ordered the pizza because I know that in the past it wasn't good but I said I'll try again. The crust if that's what you call it was like frozen pizza. My daughter had the ziti and she said it was good but barely warm. Yes I could of heated it up but that's why I ordered out. For 70 bucks I want hot food. It's a generic Italian restaurant with mediocre food. If your Italian and you have cooked or experienced true Italian food you will agree.
I got the Tortellini Alfredo it was so bland tasted like plain heavy cream. Another person in our party bland food as well pasta was over cooked, third was cold pasta wad cold. Wad my first and last time I'll eat hear wad not remotely impressed.
I actually wanted to give this place One-Star less on the service, but I think it was the end of the night and everyone was packing up to go home. The presentation of the food is straight out of the 80s,The decor is straight out of the 90s, and the prices for early 2000. This is not exactly a good combination. The soups were definitely lacking flavor, and it seems that they were using the same base broth for all the soups. The tomato sauce was just almost out of a can. The franchise is more like just lemon and lots of butter and maybe a dash of white wine, but there is really nothing that stands out here. The calamari is just wings that looks like it was pre-frozen and fried. The mozzarella sticks weren't bad put the sauce once again ruined it. I think the management is content with the way they're doing things but they need to wake up call and change their recipes a bit.
I ordered takeout… we were splitting the chicken parm platter. I asked for extra sauce, swap the salad for a 2nd bread and butter, and i asked for two sets of plastic silverware with lots of napkins. I told her it was an order to split and asked for lots of napkins. I said, we wanna get messy!” There was no plastic cutlery. There were no napkins. There was a 2nd bread but no butter. There was no chance of getting messy because there was barely any sauce. To top it all off, there was a piece of egg shell in the breading of the chicken parm! I am so disappointed ☹️
This place was recommended from a friend to go and try their great food. First I asked if they could place my cake in the back, waitress tells me there is no room in the back or their fridge. Then tells me I can put it on this random table away from our seats. When getting ready to order our food TWO waitress come out to attend to our party of 15. Not ONE time the entire 2 and a half hrs we were there did either one of them refill our pitchers of water or ask anyone if they wanted a refill on their sodas. Not one time did either of them come and ask how our food was or if we needed anything else. We needed to stop them and ask for boxes as they still did not attend to our table. Then when getting ready to have our cake I asked for small plates, lady comes back out with paper plates and says this is all we have. Ok cool. Then gives us our receipt. I understand when doing large parties you add the gratuity on the bill. HOWEVER I feel as if you did your job as a waitress then ok cool you should get that tip. 60 dollars for not one but TWO waitresses and we couldn’t get refills or asked if our food was ok?! Ridiculous! Then when I ask to speak to the manger, the young lady tells me while I can help you, there’s really no mangers and the owner is in the back cooking. As I’m telling her my thoughts and what my party witnessed she is just standing there saying ok, ok brushing me off trying to walk away. Food was awful and services was even more awful! I do not recommend this place at all!
Ordered their veal parm. not sure the type of meat I was served, but it was most unpleasant. Rubbery so much my steak knife barely worked . I FEEL CHEATED OUT OF 30$ PLUS TIP ….. SHAMEFUL !
The sauce was the same for every meal. It was too sweet and there was no other flavor. And mushrooms were from a can. The food also came out as room temperature and got cold quick. It tasted like retirement home food which if that’s what they’re going for because of all the old people, then they nailed it. Best thing I ate was the bread.
Majorly Disappointed here. Came here for a birthday dinner. It had so much hype and nothing lived up to the hype. Our Waitress was horrible, the beer was very heavy and bitter, and I had a blue light draft, how is that even possible!? My father's pasta broccoli was swimming in water, it looked like they didn't even drain the pasta. My tortellini Alfredo was incredibly thick and heavily parmesan flavored to the point it was gross. Our Waitress didn't even ask how we would like our checks, just brought us one. The bathroom was disgusting, there was feces everywhere. The hype is not real. Very Disappointed.
First I'd like to say I've been going to this restaurant since I was a teenager with my parents. Which has been a long time. The food and table service has alway been great and never a problem until my last visit. I order chicken wings and a antipasta salad. The bill was $60.00!Not only was that way over priced but the wing weren't even made right and over cooked. They also forgot stuff from my older. When I called about the wings the young lady was very nice about it and said they would give me a small refund. Then the trouble started! This man got on the phone and was very nasty and practical accused me of trying to cheat them by complaining to get a refund. If he was the owner the way he talked me made him loss a customer! But I don't think he'd care anyways. Terrible customer service!!
Normally good food but the one time I was forced to call and complain because the food was so bad and it seemed like an employee probably dropped the food and never checked if anyone got messed up the "line cook manager" basically called me a liar and said other than reminding them to be careful with the food next time there's nothing they could do. His rudeness has turned me off to eating there at least for a while which is a shame because they have great food and I always loved it and never had a problem before the least you could do in situation like this is offer somebody a percentage off of their next meal. Oh yeah and the pasta was way over cooked it was like eating paste and of course the wine cook manager said that's impossible also because they use a timer on all their pasta. So in all terrible service after the fact
We ordered a large chicken Alfredo tonight. The chicken was boiled but the menu says "grilled". Boiled chicken is unappetizing. The pasta was way overcooked that is was mushy. The sauce had zero flavor. We added salt and pepper but it didn't help much. Ended up throwing 3/4 of it away. What a waste of $20. We have ordered other things from here that were good! Such a disappointment tonight.
Don't know what's going on at TOT. Ordered take out and it was not good. Sub drenched in Sauce, bread was soggy, hardly any cheese...so this is the last time I order. Update: I recently ordered take out a meatball sub and it was very good. 5/2023 got take out, small spaghetti with 2 meatballs. When I got home there was barely any sauce, a large portion of pasta, but w/o sauce It tasted pretty bad. Meatball were not that good either. Surprising as most of the time their food is good.
Ordered take out here 3 dinners 2 of which were the same. My wife had to go to ER I didn't but my stomach was all messed up, she spent 6 hr at hospital with confirmed food poisoning, we tried to talk to owner about this in which he could not have cared less, went on the defensive and denied it was his food, said he would sue us if we called health dept, his attitude was beyond professional, like just own up to the fact that your food made us sick, anyway this is 100% truthful, been ordering here for years, never again
My wife and I had dinner last night for Valentine's Day. Service was terrible. Waitress was too preoccupied taking orders than following up with patrons that already ordered. Forgot our drinks and pretty much ignored us till she brought a bill over. My Veal was good, my wife's Alfredo was good but only had 4 little shrimp in a big plate of Alfredo. Not like it used to be. Hope the owner can correct these issues. We have been resident patrons for years, but if it is just as bad next time we try, I won't go back.
Treated extremely poorly on Saturday night by young rude hostess. Refused to take my name as she stated kitchen was behind and we needed to wait outside even though some tables were empty. She then ignored us along with several other walk ins. We left after waiting 25 minutes and went to Joey’s where we were treated properly. I was extremely disappointed and will probably not return.
Great food and place, but beware. If you pick up your food. They have their kiosk checkout system automatically set up to add a 20% tip. Not do you want to tip, if so how much. Seems predatory that you have to go through various screens to NOT leave a tip. If you're not paying attention and just put your card in you're getting charged. Should not be set up that way. I'm all for tipping if I came in sat down and ate, but I went and picked up the food they handed it to me took 5 seconds. Sorry no not tipping for that. Change it.
Ordered the veal parm dish was hot but the meal was barely warm, pasta tasted like cheap store bought, sauce tasted like they opened a can of tomato paste watered down. If you want excellent Italian try Amici or Mulberries both are the real thing.
Touch of Italy presents a visually intriguing, circular facade, promising an authentic Italian dining experience. However, the reality of my lunch visit was less "Roman holiday" and more "butter-soaked disappointment." My Chicken Margherita arrived as a culinary crime scene. The breaded eggplant, a perplexing addition, tasted suspiciously like it had been languishing in the kitchen for an extended period. It was then submerged in a pool of what I can only describe as a concentrated butter extraction. The advertised white wine sauce? A phantom ingredient, lost somewhere in the buttery abyss. It was a textural and flavor catastrophe, a soggy, greasy, and ultimately, deeply unsatisfying dish. My companion's Pasta Broccoli offered a different, yet equally disheartening, form of culinary failure. The pasta, rather than being coated in a delicate sauce, was swimming in its own cooking water. It was as if the chef, in a moment of extreme haste, simply transferred the contents of the pot directly to the plate, bypassing the fundamental step of draining. The result was a watery, bland, and utterly unappetizing mess. The salads, thankfully, provided a brief respite from the buttery onslaught. Crisp, fresh, and refreshingly devoid of excessive grease, they were the only redeeming feature of the meal. The soda was, as expected, a standard, fizzy beverage. And the ample parking lot, while not a culinary delight, was certainly a practical advantage. Our server, a lone warrior battling against a tide of hungry patrons, deserves a medal for her valiant efforts. However, one person attempting to manage twelve tables, including a large party of seven, during the lunch rush is a recipe for disaster. The service was excruciatingly slow. Drink orders took an eternity, the food arrived after an even longer wait, and we were forced to engage in a restaurant-wide scavenger hunt to locate her for basic needs. In essence, Touch of Italy offers a unique architectural experience, but the food is inconsistent, the service is painfully slow due to severe understaffing, and the overall value is questionable. You might, on a lucky day, stumble upon a decent meal, but the odds are stacked against you. If you have a leisurely three hours to spare and a profound affection for butter, by all means, take a chance. Otherwise, seek out a more reliable and efficient Italian dining establishment.
Ordered lasagna and stuffed shells combo that comes with a salad. First hardly any sauce and the restaurant refused to put each pasta in separate containers. Second the salad was so old & rotten. All pieces of lettuce were brown & slimy and the croutons were so mushy. I called and complained and got attitude from the girl answering. The food has gone downhill and the service…well there really is none. Too bad, we used to order often but not anymore. Too many other restaurants around that had great food and service.
A really nice casual restaurant with pretty good food. Except for the coarse black hairs in your food. I've told them about them a couple of times, and I've seen other reviews (with images) say the same. I can't understand why someone would not make their employees at least tie their hair up and/or put a hair net on in the kitchen. ESPECIALLY when you have so many complaints. Sorry, but I'm done. You obviously don't care! Sad.
