I have been going here for years for their roast beef sandwich. My Mom took me there in the late 1960's and I go there every time I come back home for a visit.

Great place to just stop in or to enjoy a sports game. They open up on Sundays for the Bills games and have game day specials for hockey, football, and lacrosse. Everything I've ever order is delicious especially the boom boom sauce for the onion rings and the horseradish goes great on everything. The ladies that work here are very friendly, attentive, and happy to serve you.

Was at a 60th birthday party. Everything was wonderful! The roast beef has excellent flavor. The pasta sauce is really good. The wings were tasty. The cook was awesome, she kept coming down and making sure all was well and we were all happy and content.

Great food. Roast Beef and Burgers always tender. Last time I had pulled pork tonight with slaw on a Costanzo's roll and it was phenomenal. This time I had a garbage plate and it hit the spot.

My first visit to Mitchell’s Tavern back in October was awesome! I meant to write a review sooner. I blame it on the $2.50 special for Miller Lite bottles on Wednesday’s. I may have taken full advantage of, haha. The food was phenomenal! They offer soft pretzels sticks for $2, which is perfect if you’re not super hungry but want to have a few cocktails. I love the honey mustard sauce that comes with them. I also had the Roast Beef Melt. I would highly recommend. They are in Erie County, so I’ve been ordering take out at least once a week and I am impressed every time.

We were so thankful to find a bar in Erie county that still had their patio open with the new COVID regulations. It was such a fun experience to sit out and watch the Bills game. There was a big screen TV and two nice warm heaters, with everyone cheering it felt like the closest thing we will get this year to attending a home game. I had the sports special, 60 cent wings. The garlic parm sauce is delicious!!! We will definitely be back again.

A throwback to when taverns poured pitchers and wings were priced right. Though there was no beef on Weck for the Bills game, the burger was good and the fried pickle chips were great.

We had a roast beef sandwich and fried pickles. Both were awesome! Great service and prices too! I judge a restaurant by the cleanliness of their bathroom. I feel it says something about how they care about their establishment. It was A+.

I really enjoyed our fish and shrimp dinners! It is a well loved restaurant in the community. Wonderful wait staff, lots of sport memorabilia, great food, lots of tv views- I enjoyed the ladies college lacrosse game and a great bowling match on " Beat the Champ".

This place has real "Nostalgia " superattentive servers, great aura, awesome food for the price. A real hometown jewel. 8m not from. The Buffalo area but I would definitely return here cause it made me feel good. Serves all the traditional food native to the region, buffalo shrimp, roast beef on weck ,wings etc. The term " Buffalo " I believe started in this area, buffalo wings , hot sauce etc.

For local eats and cold beers, this is a fantastic place. In this neighborhood, wings are done right. Monster menu is overwhelming. Oh, and they throw in sports on a ton of TV's. Good times had by all who go inside.

First, our server, Jen, was a real pro. She helped steer our selections, kept our drinks full & was super prompt. Second, this is the cleanest dive bar that I’ve ever stepped in. I mean seriously …. There isn’t a speck of dust, dirt or grime in site. And given the amount of paraphernalia (much of it signed — impressive) that is a huge feat and really speaks to the staff’s commitment. The stars of the show? The food!!! So tasty!! My son said it was one of the best clam chowders he’s had a restaurant…ever!! I did the pastrami special on rye of course with just the right balance of sauted onions & mustard …. DELICIOUS! The hubby did the beef (on Wec of course!) with so much horseradish. My DIL did the chicken parm sandwich (with extra jalapeños) and it was fire. My other son did the spicy beef and I’m pretty sure his eyes were watering … but in a good way. The big surprise? Cajun fries with gravy & cheese. Wow. So good. Such a great, random stop. Thank you online reviewers so we could discover Mitchell’s. It was worth the stop.

We visited on Saturday, July 19 around 2:00 with our travel baseball team. It was a group of probably 30 people that just showed up… unannounced. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the waitress was organized, accurate and was nonstop hustling to bring pitchers of water, drinks etc. Prices were so reasonable, portions were huge and like I said, food was delish!

Nice friendly place, neighborhood bar with above average appearance and cleanliness, decent price ($5.00) for craft beer, nice looking food menu with decent prices, smallish draft beer selection. I only had a couple beers, no food. They are proud of their roast beef, and per menu are also proud of their fish fry -- and serve it every day! -- but I can't comment on the food.

The place has lots of cool Buffalo sports memorabilia. Lots of pic and jerseys lining the walls. Our server was so friendly and sweet. We split a few things since it was out 1st time here. Everything was served piping hot. The pickle chips were crispy and crunchy, with a nice dipping sauce, a little spicy but all tasty. The fries were cooked the way fries should be. Crispy outside, mashed potato like inside. The gravy served on the side was not very good. It was clumpy and not very tasty. The pulled pork(recommended by our fabulous server) was delicious, but I bit into a bone that damn near knocked my crown off. The server was very apologetic, and they even removed the sandwich from the check. (kind gesture that not a lot of places would do) The roast beef was good, but it was a bit overcooked for my taste. We really liked the atmosphere and the service, so we'll definitely return. You can't be perfect every day.

Came to Buffalo State for a show. Looking for good food after. Stumbled upon Mitchell's and was pleasantly suprised! Clean, welcoming, amazing waitress (friendly, fun, down to earth), and good food. Next time we're in the area, we'll be back!

Very good roast beef on weck and they have their own beer, it was a very nice amber pale ale variation that tasted great with the sandwich and their wings. I was there for a party but I will definitely go back on my own for sure.

A little too loud for me but it is a bar so that might be expected.

Wings are pretty decent by Buffalo standards and the weck was equally alright. I like that they have a weck and wing deal; it's a little tour of Buffalo.

Ordered wings to go, fast service with a smile. Little disappointed that the wings were a little small, and not very juicy. I did not order extra crispy, but that's the way that they were made. I got the Carlos hot sauce which was very tasty, better than standard red hot wings.

Ordered takeout of roast beef sandwiches and wings. Very disappointed!! Wings were freezer burnt and little to no sauce, roast beef and gravy sandwiches had no gravy. Fries with gravy- no gravy. Had to drive back to get gravy.

Fish fry was ok. Not very friendly. From their Facebook page it looked like a fun place with cool bartenders. It is not. Unless you are a regular.
