L&L Hawaiian Barbecue

Great food, great people. I get the atkins plate on a regular basis. The cashier is always the same 20-something. He's always extremely polite and friendly. Service is fast if you aren't a moron going there on lunch rush. Definitely recommend it to all my friends.

I went to the one in Sacramento for my first time and just loved it. Their food is so good and service was amazing. But now we have one here in Vacaville closer to me.. I was so happy and excited to go. So i went with my sister and we got the same thing and OMG it was so good... I love Hawaiian BBQ food and i was in heaven at that moment.. I recommend this place if you love Hawaiian food like i do.. Their service is great and the worker are very nice..

We did a huge catering order here for a corporate event for 200 people. They were fast and efficient. Had our order ready on time and were able to take our order days in advance and have it ready for us. Called me on the day of to check in! Great place for catering large events. All food was delicious!!

Miss local Hawaiian food and L&L gives me a sense of nostalgia. Now I appreciate the establishments goals because they aim to give you authentic Hawaiian food and its good but, of course nothing like hometown grinds. Nonetheless the food is a good change up from regular fast food.

Food was not bad, but nothing to write home about, Service gave me a rushed feeling and i entered with 2 people in front of me, I barely got done scanning the overhead menu, When called to the register to place my order... 4 other orders went out that was placed after i placed my order... They barely made 4 stars...

The food was good and I was able to get my order pretty quickly. This restaurant seemed pretty busy with lots of different orders going out. There was also a catering order that was being prepared while I was waiting for my order. The workers managed to get it out pretty quick. Would I go back here when in the area? Yeah. I would.

Food was excellent, portions were very fair compared to cost. We ordered Katsu, Kalua pork, spam masubi, and chicken fried rice and we're not disappointed with any of it and took home leftovers of all the large dishes. Would definitely revisit. Only reason for one star markdown was the inside of the restaurant smelled like product from the nail salon 2 doors down. We chose to sit outside and it was fine.

Honestly I love the food here. On this last visit however it was oddly dark inside and the atmosphere seemed off. The food always great definitely took it to go this time.

Funky place in a shopping center. They serve simple food including Spam. I like the beef ribs and rice. Like I said pretty simple dishes but pretty good value and quick service. Everything served in styrofoam - tres tacky and bad for the environment.

Charges 4.5% card fee but you don’t find out until you get your receipt. Solicits tips in both forms of tip jar and suggested tips on the receipt although they don’t actually start making your call-in order until you get there and pay. 😼. Expect to wait another 15 minutes after what you’re told on the phone.

Mac salad is good. Teriyaki chicken was not. Their sauce is very thin and closer to just soy sauce. They don’t sear the chicken enough either. Rice wasn’t great, just not very sticky. Could have just been an off day for the rice but I wouldn’t eat the teriyaki chicken here. Other items could be ok, but to me the teriyaki chicken is the main dish at these places and needs to stand out for me to even try the other options.

We came in at 8:15pm and they had closed the inside dining. Only a few tables and chairs were available. They also were counting money in plain view where everyone could see it. They seemed to be in a hurry to leave.

We usually get kalua pork with extra macaroni salad and sometimes fried shrimp from L&L. At this location there was only 3 measly pieces of pork inside of the banana leaves, 1 of them was just pure chunk of fat. The macaroni salad wasn't the "right" one, I think the proportions of ingredients were off and it was smaller cup than from other locations.. Shrimp tasted like rubber and was very dry.

They have a fairly big menu and each L&L that I have been to offers extras that are not traditional Hawaiian dishes such as Chinese and/or Filipino dishes. They also offer catering packs for your parties. The food here is generally good. My go to is the BBQ Mix Plate ($16.25 as of 8/22/2025): Hawaiian BBQ Beef, Chicken, Short Ribs, Mac Salad, 2 scoops of Rice which is a good amount of food, so most people will have some leftovers. Their flavor of their meat was not as flavorful this visit as I have had in the past (not sure if it is just this one instance) and the overall portion does seem slightly less than I remember. I would describe this place as a semi-Hawaiian Fast Food Restaurant. Expect no frills and no thrills here, just a good heaping of food for the price. They are a solid 3.5/5 stars overall.

Fair warning, this is the experience they offer, but they'll still ask for tips.

This place was filthy and run down. The menu boards are so faded they are barley visible. And the beverages tasted like the ice was made rotten stagnant water. The food wasn't horrible, and the portions were fairly generous....but I was to concerned about The environment that it was cooked in to enjoy my meal. I will not be patronizing this restaurant again.

I am not happy I called in my order at 345. I was told it was going to be ready in 10 mins. I got there about 15 minutes later. I wasn't given my food until 425. People who came after me were getting their food before me. It was no point in calling in. They don't Eben make your food until you get there I guess. They need to fix their wait times. Ridiculous!

We had the L & L app. In the app, we had a promotional item or welcome gift. But the cashier said that the owner told him that they don't redeem these here. And it's a chain store.

Beware. This l&l's food is good, but the service this year is terrible. The bad service will get you eventually. My wife called our order in an hour in advance. I went inside to pick it up, I paid, and 30 minutes later I begin seeing others who walked in before me get their food. I called in way before any of us walked in, so how can this be? 1 of 2 things hapened. They gave our food to somebody else or forgot to push our order through. Mistakes happen, but they didn't even prioritize our order considering their mistake and they queued us to back of the line. That was my final straw. I wasn't waiting another 30 mins. I walked out and charged back the purchase. Just so you know, this wasn't our first bad experience. It's just the one that pushed me over the edge. Eat at your own discretion.

The service was OK. We have been to at least 4 other L & L, this one just doesn't match up with other ones. Menu is different, portion is different and the cutlery/forks are really flimsy. (can't cut the meat, can't pick up the meat. Using the clear container that is really not for hot food. Cutting too much corners.) Well...we won't be back.

The food is pretty good but the service and attitude is ridiculous. I had a to-go order with 1 entree and 2 musubi, when I asked for 1 extra teriyaki and Siracha sauce he said it would be $0.50 each. I had just watched him give the man before me an extra sauce for free when asked 5 minutes before, when I mentioned I just watched him give extra to the guy before me he had an attitude and said ‘I don’t know what to tell you, it’s an extra $0.50 each.’ Won’t be back, they don’t charge more for sauce at the L & L in Fairfield and they’re much nicer and faster service.

Other guy was terrible at customer service, barely acknowledged us and then refused to give us 1 sauce that we requested. At lease charge me for it, if it’s such an issue rather than refusing to give it to me. Very disappointed, and then the food wasn’t ever great as the other L&L I’ve gone to. Will not return...
