Opinions de Little Caesars Vallejo
Just had the best pizza of my life! I love that we found a random restaurant in SF and it was amazing.
My fav Detroit style pizza in a nicest location of their three. You’ll always find plenty of space to seat and enjoy your pie with a Yerba Buena view. This spot is less crowded than Valencia str. so I never waited for my order more than 15 min. Hearty and delicious, my two to -go pizzas are Zoe’s pepperoni and Pestoriffic. My husband is a big fan of their vegan which are really impressive here. That cheesy crust is really addictive and everyone I introduced to Joy Ride loved it right away.
was the best pizza i’ve ever had. we had the #7 with the hot honey and OMG it was melting in my mouth and absolutely delicious. cheese pull with every bite and crust was crunchy but not burnt.
I am not a huge pizza lover but every year I’m in town this place closes because the companies who are part of the conference buy it out for a whole week. This year I made it my mission. I actually got there right as they were going to close to the public for the week but I didn’t know it because they treated me so well. They took my order and let me sit inside and not once did I feel rushed to leave. When I realized it was just me and they weren’t taking more orders for the day I tried to hurry and they told me not to rush. True hospitality. I stuck with the classic pepperoni and was not disappointed; if all pizza tasted like their pizza I would definitely be a pizza lover. I look forward to making this place my first stop in years to come!
We had an incredible experience at this pizza place today, without a doubt the best pizza I’ve had in San Francisco! The pizza was absolutely phenomenal the flour was light and crispy, the sauce was full of flavor, and the toppings were incredibly fresh. You can really tell they care about quality here. They also offer a gluten-free pizza option, which was surprisingly delicious, a great choice for anyone who can’t eat gluten but still wants to enjoy amazing pizza. But what truly made this visit unforgettable was the amazing service. The manager, Ornacio, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He came over to our table, had a genuine conversation with us, and even treated us to some complimentary drinks, which was such a thoughtful gesture. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we were surprised with a delicious slice of cheesecake at the end of our meal. It was the perfect way to finish an already perfect evening. This place is a gem. Great food, great atmosphere, and genuinely kind people. If you’re in San Francisco and love pizza, don’t miss this spot. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Service was fast and the staff was helpful. I admit it was a little pricey for a gluten free pizza ($31), but it actually fed 2 people so I guess overall it wasn't that bad. Pizza was actually incredibly delicious! Got the Greek gluten free pizza and honestly I couldn't tell it was gluten free. They have a lot of great topping options as well, even though most of it is a la carte. Would return nonetheless because overall it was worth it.
Went to this hidden gem in Yerba Buena Gardens on my lunch break. It’s easy to miss as it’s tucked away on an elevated walkway but my nose led the way. The building it’s housed in is very ambient, calm, and airy. It’s the perfect oasis to enjoy a peaceful, yet filling lunch. I ordered the lovely Pestoriffic pizza and was deeply satisfied with the saucy and liberally topped Detroit style pie. It’s pretty filling and I still have leftovers to enjoy. I’d say that the price is worth it for a lovingly crafted pie. I will definitely be back to sample the entire menu as all the pizzas look absolutely tantalizing.
August 2023: Stopped by for lunch and ordered the pineapple pizza plus sausage! I'm a big fan of Detroit style pizza 🍕 and I thought the pizza was really tasty 😋. There were also jalapenos, sweet peppers, red onion, pepperoncini, and Mike's hot honey on the pizza. Was a delicious lunch! Menu was very extensive. Lots of options. Will definitely be back again for more delicious pizza!
Delicious “Detroit-style” pizza! Light, not heavy. Fresh and creative toppings. They serve yummy green salads. Desserts include a variety of creamy cheesecake. Joyride YBG is located on the promenade level with a beautiful view of the variety of architecture styles in Yerba Buena Gardens. Love (!!!) the veggie pizza with mushrooms and sliced Brussel sprouts! The meat lovers slice with sausage and pepperoni is also super yummy! For veg, I also had the green salad with the olives, jalapeños, mini tomatoes and red onions. Dessert was Snickerdoodle cheesecake. My friend got the Neapolitan cheesecake. All good! Alistair, the co-owner, is a pizza consultant from Kauai, Hawaii who is venturing into the pizza restaurant business. What delicious food! I definitely felt like part of his “ ohana”(family) - super friendly vibe. This restaurant is a pizzeria with “Aloha” spirit! Update (January 2023!): Joyride has opened s baby shop at 685 Market St. Super convenient to order, pick up a hot pizza and go!
Wow! Had no idea it was the old Samovar place until I walked up to Yerba Buena gardens. It's right over the waterfall and always offered stunning views of the park and plenty of outdoor seating places. The full glass windows also adds a nice transition to the outdoors. The owners have done a great job transforming the space to a Detroit-style pizza joint. This is my first time trying Detroit-style pizza, and I loved the square slices. I ordered the Sweet Heat Pineapple, and it was so tasty. The hot honey caramelized the crust, and it was a delicious salty-sweet experience. I don't care what people say - pineapples deserve to be on pizzas! The woman working the counter was very nice, and she accommodated the lunch hour crowd well. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area!
Vegetarian and dog friendly! It was quite hot today, but that made for perfect al fresco dinner on their patio . The Caesar salad was so, so tasty- one of the best I have ever had! There is a vegetarian option without the anchovy chimichurri. I loved the toasted breadcrumbs and dressing that perfectly coated each leaf. Their handmade pasta game is strong! The fusilli pesto was super flavorful, especially with the cherry tomatoes. The chiocciole bolognese was also a symphony of flavors and I liked the scoops of whipped ricotta cheese . Everything tasted delicious! Generous portions and reasonably priced. Can’t wait to go back for the Caesar and try the other pastas and their pizza.
Samovar is a beautiful location with some great options to dive into. Some friends visited this location on a Sunday morning. We had no reservations but we're seated right away. I had the avocado toast which I really liked. I wasn't a fan of the seaweed at the top which I just removed. My group had french toast and eggs Benedict which they loved and enjoyed. It was a bright and beautiful morning spent in a tastefully done place. Will surely come back to have the tower the next time.
This place is so cute and in such a nice location that I would definitely come again! We had a party of 4 and were seated immediately at 3 pm on a Friday afternoon. Food: We got the iron goddess of mercy and the mochi platter and the scone platter. The tea pots are a good value because you can keep filling up the pot with hot water and it lasts the whole meal! The mochi platter was the star of the meal and definitely a really nice unique dish! It had a good amount to share for 4 people and a chewy flakey consistency. The scones were also good to share and the strawberry jam and honey were my favorite! Service: Definitely really good and the waiter kept coming around to refill our hot water! Ambiance: A really nice place to chill and catch up with friends! We liked the outdoor seating facing the water. Overall would come again!
Love this place, so nice and relaxing and their food is so good. Highly recommend the chai tea cold if you dont want to sit in and just want to grab a drink. It is my new go to place when we visit SF. I love their mochi cakes as well. So soft and a bit springy. I had all the flavors expect chocolate as they were not available that day. Cardamom and matcha were the bomb. Tumeric was prob my least fav.I had a ochazuke soup with smoked duck and the hubby git the tea smoked chicken sandwich. The ochazuke is a rice bowl where you pour tea onto the rice. adding the smoked duck was amazing. I have really nothing bad to say about them just dying to go back. I visited them twice in three days :)
(+) Outside seating that's dog friendly (+) Meatzza - lots of meat! Pepperoni, bacon, chicken, maybe some sausage in the marinara, super cheesy (+) Bolognese - two nice sized scoops of ricotta, yummy springy pasta, yummy sauce (+) Carbonara - very dense so be prepared, ample porcetta, very flavorful, are too much (+) Solid cocktail, beer, and wine menu (-) Cannoli - a sad disappointment. I wasn't expecting such a strong almond punch in the cream filling. IMO a solid upgrade from Samovar, more reasonably priced, love the ambiance, staff was friendly. Will definitely be coming again.
It is really to to be here to have a brunch during a sunny day. Sunshine make everything beautiful! We ordered a bunch of food! I tried the following: Smoked duck hash: really good, I love the combination of poached egg, potato, and smoked duck. For the bread, it is not crispy enough and not very flavorful Squash dumpling: nice and cute dumpling, not good not bad. Can not taste much squash flavor Shared cheese: I think this combination is really good for a group start. Love the honey comb
Smoked Duck Jook white rice porridge, peanuts, nori, cilantro, carrots, ginger, scallions, sriracha, tamari soy sauce 13 California Rose 10 Came across this place after venturing the Yerba Buena Gardens after passing by many times. Ended up finally being able to take the time to sit down for a morning Sunday brunch. Decided to take the outdoor approach to the place and got seated quite quickly without any issues. Was greeted pretty quickly by the waiter and got recommended a California Rose tea which was not too bad. I appreciated the aromas from the tea from rose and the rather strong taste of the black tea. Overall it was a very smooth tasting tea. Also ended up ordering the Smoked Duck Jook / Congee from the morning menu. The portion was okay and not much more you would get out of a typical breakfast congee. The flavor was very surprising from the smoked duck which brought out a little bit of crispy chariness with some of the elements of duck still hiding behind the elements. The peanuts and the sriracha brought out some spice and crunchiness which you would usually not find in congee, but if you are looking for fried dough or chili oil it would not be 100% advised. Overall the congee was flavourful and kind of a fusion approach which tasted rather good. Overall I would say it’s a great place for tea, and a good way to get some great food to go with it. Just expect to get one or more different things to compliment your meal.
I would NOT recommend this place if you are trying to get food for the homeless that are just around the corner. Customer service was decent but my 2 pepperoni slices had the pepperoni burnt to kingdom come. Too pricey for and should not have been served. Spend your money ANY where else.
I like their pizza especially the pineapple jalapeño but a single beer is $10. That is their cheapest beer. Not a single person was in there mid-afternoon on Saturday and I can understand why. I will never go in there again with that ridiculously high price for a beer. Just insane.
