Pizza fries are definitely on my top 5 foods I've ever eaten. Amazing beer selection and full bar. Great atmosphere, kid friendly, inside and outside dining and awesome decorations. Close to free parking. Only issue is when it's busy the line to order can be about 15-20 minutes and a 45 minute wait to get your food. 4.8/5 stars. Love this place. Limited slices are a must try.

Great Beer selection and consistently good pizza. The fries and the Giant meatball are great. The Pickle charcuterie platter is amazing. Outside seating is readily available smaller inside area has a large bar. Parking is a challenge at times but it is nice to eat your fill and then walk Main street afterwards.

Pizza, craft beer, full bar - what more could you ask for? Incredible chicken wings too, you ask? They got those too! I love my bloody Mary with their house pickled veggies. Their beer and cider selection is always changing and there is something for everyone. Can't go wrong with a prickly pear margarita. Live free or Thai hard are spicy chicken wings but have incredible flavor. Every pizza slice is so good. The whole pie is a dinner tray size. Highly recommend!

Huge pizzas with tons of toppings worth the $30 price point. Great drink options as well. Amazing garlic fries with huge portions. Great for groups and a good starting point for cruising mainstreet. The decor inside is vibrant and outside has great seating options.

Artisan double slices of Pizza at $5-6 each = DELICIOUSNESS!! Quality ingredients and good craft beer. People come here for the beer and food equally. Did I mention you can also order boards: truffle board, cheese board, charcuterie board, ECT. So good. Cozy interior with good seating and a large outdoor patio that overlooks the parking lot and Main Street with ample seating. Fluid State has great customer service and a cozy, fun, local vibe. They also play great music inside.

By FAR my favorite pizza in the country. Their sourdough crust is 5 levels above any other pizza joint, period. Big bonus is the beer.

Love that they use seasonal mushrooms for it too! They also have a great selection of beer. I'm also a fan of their shoestring fries! Some of the best pizza in town, and a great ambiance. Line can be long during peak hours, which can prevent you from making it on time to the cashier on time for happy hour if you arrive close to its end. Clean bathrooms, wide beer selection, good indoor and outdoor seating.

Fluid State is the go to date night meal for my wife and I. I’ve had pizza across the states and, let me tell you, this is one of two of my absolute favorite pizza joints out there (Shout out to Home Slice in Austin, TX). AMAZING pizza, stellar beer/cider selection, and a super friendly staff. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough. ONLY complaint: Please start carrying ranch to dip your chicken wings in.. it’s the only thing missing from the menu. A simple change that would improve an already incredible meal.

Cute place to hangout and enjoy a few beers. The wait was pretty long after 5pm on a Saturday, but well worth it. They also have a to go window on the side for while you wait. We had the chicken wings and garlic fries. They all were good!

The best pizza and beer place in town! The rotating beer selection often has brews you can't find anywhere else in Ventura. I LOVE they have a sign with the date they last cleaned their tap lines. The pizza crust is awesome and a great base for their tasty pies.

Very good Sourdough New York pizza. Yes, the price is on the higher side and there's a big queue but the pizza is worth it. Queue moves fast but you will have to wait to get your pizza, even a slice! Crispy and crunchy, the pizza retains that feature even after it gets cold. Didn't knew that Kale can be so good on a pizza 😋 No parking nearby but plenty of spots available in the downtown.

We just can’t get enough of this place. We’ve ordered their loaded garlic fries, their pizza, the pickle plate and more. Everything we’ve had so far has been spot on, We want to try their whole menu. They also allow dogs on their patio which our pup loves.

The food is delicious. The garlic fries and the tallow fries are to die for. The pizza was better than I thought it would be. Outstanding selection of beers, ales, ciders, and lagers. With a full bar, in case you would rather have something harder. Parking is difficult on the weekends unless you are lucky. Our order for 4 adults was ready FAST. Which was unexpected due to how crowded the place was. I would definitely recommend that this place is worth your time and money.

Local. Regular every 6 weeks on Thursday night with my exercise crew. We walk/run/bike a couple miles up to the cross to check out the ocean views and then eat/drink the rest of the night with friends and pets. Leave a comment if ya every wanna join. This place is always packed - be ready to wait in line, order beer and food at the same time at the counter, wait 45 minutes to 1 hour for the food (not the beer) - the beer selection is great and plentiful. The food is worth the wait. Enjoy the patio outside or the bar inside. Street parking.

It’s our first time here, and this bar didn’t let us down. We placed orders for pizza, barbecue wings, and beer. The sauce had the right amount of flavor that go nicely with the crispy crust and the fresh toppings. We love the delicious food, the quick service, and the distinct atmosphere.😊

Addicted to their pizza. It's that super thin but ultra large sliced type pizza. So delicious. Plenty of beer selections & tarts. Wish I could eat here daily lol there's a ton of slices to choose from too. You won't be bored or disappointed you stopped in. 80s memorabilia decor, a couple old school video games too if you're up for it. Fresh food, quick service, clean restaurant 👌

Unique beers and great food. Can’t go wrong. Had their Dr.SteveBrule pizza. It has pepperoni, ricotta, basil, and hot honey. Absolutely delicious. The hot honey brings a great unique taste but not over bearing. It pulls all the flavors together where you didn’t think it was possible. It’s not super spicy either…so, all you low tolerance people can even enjoy this pizza too =)

Great atmosphere to hang out with friends and family, good selection of food and drinks. We had the $7 happy hour margaritas, the $5 happy hour pepperoni slice and the Thai whole chicken wings. Everything tasted delicious, the wings are super different than others I’ve tried and pack plenty of flavor. All in all, would definitely come back to try more

Loved this place. Food, beer, cocktails, ambiance, truly a 5 star location. We had several IPAs, nog and gin cocktails, crispy thin amazing sourdough pizza, Thai wings, and award winning garlic super thin fries...whew, and they had Pliney the Elder in bottles...5 stars.

Pizza here is scrumptious. First, it’s huge and second, the texture of the sourdough crust delights the mouth. I’m not sure if it was because we ordered mushroom pizza, but the crust was oily underneath. I don’t recall it being like that previously, so maybe they were being a bit heavy handed on the oil that day. Great place for groups, dogs, beer and wine lovers, and cocktail drinkers! See how almost everyone in your group can be happy if you chose this place? Sorry no picks of food, but if you want to see the recent menu…then I’ve got those for you. We wanted to see the menu because one person in the group has specific dietary needs. The website was no help.

We got the sourdough pepperoni pizza and one of the spiked ice tea drinks they had for happy hour. I loved the people working and the atmosphere of the store. Great selections of drinks and food. Was so happy we snagged a parking spot across the street and got in and out with no problems. It’s a busy location and more on a beautiful day. There are kids running around but for the most part the families were sat in front of the building and not the side. The pizza was mid but the wings were good. Beers selection is good, cocktails are good too and so is the Cider. I would definitely come back, just be prepared for it to be busy.

We came here on a bustling Friday night. There was quite a long line to order. We had a commitment to make so thought about going elsewhere but decided we would just suffer the wait. As it turned out, the line moved pretty quickly. After we ordered, we grabbed a table outside expecting a 30 minute wait for food. Much to our pleasant surprise, however, our food was ready in about 5 minutes which was quite impressive given the fact we ordered pizza. We also got a charcuterie board and garlic fries. The fries are money. The charcuterie board was excellent with a fun variety of items including cheeses, meats, pickles, saurkraut, candied walnuts, and honeycomb. It was all very good and the board was huge. Great experience. Highly recommended if you're downtown.

Fluid State is a for sure go to date spot or the spot to grab beers post work. They have plenty of beers on tap that rotate regularly. Do not be afraid of the long lines! The line moves fast and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor patio seating! Personally I love their amber ales and ciders. We love this spot. The portions are huge so makes a great place to share with friends. Also, they do sourdough pizza by the slice.

Fluid State gets it. Went every day on my trip to Ventura. Super rad employees, Star Wars stuff all over, incredible pizza by the slice, and great cocktails. What else could you ask for? Pizza wise The Dr. Steve Brule and the Perfect Storm were my favorites. Cocktails…damn the La Pina was one of my favorite drinks I’ve had this year. Dirty Rotten Scoundrel Martini(vodka) was amazing as well! If you’re in Ventura, make sure you go by. See y’all next time in town! Cheers!

Wow! I read reviews about long lines, and the lines are worth it! We arrived around 5pm and just beat the rush. Staff was very helpful in selecting the perfect beer, and the food…🤍 The pickle plate is divine, but you need more than 2 people! We ate on it for days. We also shared a slice of the sourdough crust pizza with the honey drizzle - big hit! 🍕 Will be back soon with a bigger group!

I really like fluid state. The staff is friendly and treat everyone courteously. They have a first come first served system I like. Often times other venues in the area serve the socially good-looking crowd and friends of the staff before all others. The beer selection is great as it rotates often but keeps similar styles of craft beer. I was told by the owner that dogs are not allowed inside, only on the outside patio. The furniture and interior design are aesthetically pleasing and comfortable.

A solid beer garden in the heart of Ventura within walking distance of everywhere. Can get pretty loud on weekends, but is a damn good time for a group of friends.

Nice patio and good vibe. Very expensive - $9 for a beer. They were out of multiple things on their beer list, I guess they don’t buy multiple kegs. But, it’s Ventura and everything is a ripoff so it’s not unusual. Overall nice spot. Hipster AF. Super long lines for beer. Bathroom cleanliness 7/10.

6/29/24 first time here. Joined friends in progress... Had a great beer waiting for me! Sat outside, nice. Friends got pizza, they really liked it. It's a very cool place, i wish i lived close by... I would be here a lot.

Second visit. Decor is sparse but cool. I don't love that you order from the counter and have to get in line any time you want another drink unless you sit at the bar. We were able to get to the bar to reorder though, so it wasn't an issue this visit. We ordered 2 slices, fungus amongus and Italian massage, and naked wings. For some reason our food didn't get entered when we first ordered it. So by the time we figured it out it took an hour to get our food. We weren't thrilled. Thankfully the well stocked bar and solid beer selection (although no hazies from some reason) helped us pass the time. And when it did arrive it was truly excellent. Had the Dr. pepperoni last time and was unimpressed but this food was well worth waiting for and commanded 4 stars. Without the wait, it would've been 5. We'll come back and see what we can do!

Recent Sunday night with a group of six on back patio for pizza and drinks. It’s a beer garden so a casual yet pleasant atmosphere. Order at counter and grab your drinks and then you’ll be paged when the food is ready. The pizzas were PDG (meaty and salty Italian Massage and a classic Margherita). Wings and salad were also pretty good. I had a cocktail which tasted like a G&T but called a V&T and MacReeves had some kind of IPA. Would def go back for the clam pizza and a beer. Staff were hardworking and efficient. Price is a bit steep but the quality seems to warrant it.

Came here for dinner with my family. This is an order at the counter, sit yourself down kinda place. We were able to find street parking and a table easily. Ordered a few slices and a few other best sellers. 1. Dr Pepperoni — Kids loved their slice. Thin crust with crunchy pepperoni. I went for the same and really liked the sourdough crust. 2. Fungus Amungus — This had a generous amount of toppings on it and was flavorful. 3. Garlic Fries — I loved that these were thin. Had the right amount of garlic flavor. 4. Pizza Fries — This is one of their best sellers so had to try. It didn’t disappoint. Was yummy. Interesting concept. I also got one of the rice beers (lager) which I really liked. The staff were friendly. Will come back here if in the area

Love this place. Pizza sourdough base is amazing, but feel there's a little too much oil on the pizza. This is only my second time here, and I will definitely be back again. Amazing ambiance. Got the pizza and a beer. Beer was a little overpriced and foamed to the brim. Pizza was good and they have a lot of healthy options too. Fun little industrial style brewery with a very comfy lounge area. Can sit inside and outside. Staff were great and buss boys were amazing too. Staying on top of everything. Will be back again.

Fun, casual bar/restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating. The staff has camaraderie among each other and are friendly. The food is generously portioned with large pizzas; the pickle plate was massive and had to be taken home. The only knock is that the pizza we got was a bit soggy towards the middle (maybe all of that ricotta cheese that was added). It still was delicious but wished that the crust kept its crispness. Overall a solid joint that my wife and I will be going back to for good food and vibes.

Better walk up to the bar. Then work your way into a middle of people for no reason and be demanding of things you already paid for. Then them acting like it’s a problem when you paid for it. What a joke. Ordered a whole cheese pizza. Which was actually pretty good. Might have been better without the added cheese and just basic. The dough here is spot on. Sauce is legit. Things I noticed off the bat is. Really bad parking. Horrible if you’re a car person. Seems like a tourist trap. Very clean inside. Awesome that there’s no TV’s and just good conversation. Would I return? Honestly…. I’m debating. The prices are outrageous for the location. I’d say try it out if you enjoy beer. That’s obviously what it’s known for.

I like this place and the service was great! Arrived at 8 PM and left at 9:30. - Many Northern California beers. Would have preferred more local and southern calliope us selections. - Wait time for food (pizza and fries) is around 40 min. We arrived before peak times and there was no line when we ordered. - Bathroom was around a 6 out of 10 in terms of cleanliness and restocking.

Service is slow and it's compounded by people not knowing what they want when they are up next. Seemed like every employee would make themselves scarce whenever there was a long line. People also park themselves at tables so it can be difficult to find a seat. The crowd is generally made up of hipsters that are past their sell by date. At least their pizzas are pretty good tthough.

Cool place. The “bartender” could have smiled at least once. It was a cold night, and the heaters don’t work so we were super cold. If you’re charging that much for a 12oz beer, you could afford to get the heaters working! lol

Pizza is good, run about $30. Beers are expensive, some $10/pint, many are $10/12 oz. You order from the counter and they ask for a 20-25% tip. High considering it’s a counter order and there is no hostess, no waiter and no busboy.

This place is very hit or miss. Unfortunately this last Saturday was a huge miss. Had the worst pizza (Grandma's Pie) here. It was hard and inedible.. it also took 40 mins to get my order. Also when ordering my first drink I asked for any seltzer alternatives and the bartender gave me attitude. The only decent service I got was at the outside bar. The rest of the staff indoors ignored me until I sat there for 10 minutes plus. Plenty of other places to go downtown so I'll probably check out some alternatives.

The beers here are fine, but everything else was a disappointment. The pizzas collapse into a soggy mess within minutes, making them almost impossible to eat. The fries were thin, flavorless, and served at room temperature, which is inexcusable for such a simple item. The bathrooms are even worse. The sinks have a “beer tap” handle that shuts off the second you let go, so you cannot wash both hands properly. That is a basic hygiene failure that every customer has to deal with. To make matters worse, the stall latches are designed in a way that pinches your fingers when you open them. This place gets the drinks right, but the food and facilities show a complete lack of care. With so many better options around, I will not be coming back and would not recommend it to anyone.

Food is decent, cool vibe, but crazy expensive. Plain fries $10. Most beers are filled half way, to get a full pint can cost twenty dollars. That's literally the cost of a drink on Champs Elysee in Paris. Just too expensive and not that outstanding quality, won't be back.

I visited this place for analytics. What do I want to say? It's an absolutely tasteless, over-salted pizza with terrible dough, dirty tables, stinky dirty restrooms,unfriendly staff who won't even say hello or provide a menu within 20 minutes of your arrival! 4 out of 10 service, and the atmosphere of a cheap bar. I don't understand why there are so many people there on weekdays. It's probably because of the parking lot and the cheap menu.
