I had a great margarita yesterday. The tuna nachos are friggen phenomenal. I was not a fan of the fried pickles but I have them to the young kids next to me. I wish the the happy hour was longer. 3-4pm is pretty wack

When it's all said and done, I think this is one of the best views to eat by the ocean in Vero without spending an arm and a leg. Instead of hardy meals expect more salads and light fish dishes, great for lunch. Great burger. It's a great alternative to the high prices of Cobolt or Costa, with the same view and more of a casual vibe. I really like the food here, and last time they even gave us a free app! Definitely expect to wait a long time for drinks and food, but the good news is there's a great view.

A little gem on the ocean that we absolutely love! The bartenders are great, the view is stunning, apps and cocktails are fantastic! Just a feel good atmosphere, also enjoyable when they have some live music! Highly recommend!

Definitely gonna love it here! The ambience, food, and drinks are amazing 🤩. Always a great time whenever we come out this way!! Highly recommend it!

Amazing view of the ocean, delicious food, outstanding service from our waiter, Jonathan…a positively enjoyable relaxed dinner. The lettuce wraps were so good I could have eaten a whole bowl of the bang bang shrimp. Shrimp tacos made with sea bass was equally tasty. And key lime pie was tart and smooth. Yum!

Absolutely stunning setting with an incredible meal. I had grilled lobster and the hubs had steak (what else). Also had a light and delicious hearts of palm salad. Everything was perfect!!! We will be back!

Took a little bit of effort to get to it due to construction at the hotel, but we grabbed on and we're not disappointed. Loved chatting with Forbes about the area... Got the wings which (though nothing special) were delicious!! Loved the view of the rough ocean and played me dear wife backgammon - which I finally won a game!!🍺tj

We visited Heatons from Texas to celebrate my best friends bachelorette party! They gave us a beutiful table by the water the food was excellent and so was the service! All the servers were so sweet even offering to take our groups pictures whenever they got the chance! The manager even brought over two bottles of champagne and congratulated the bride! Highly reccomend and can’t say enough good things about how special this made us feel🤍

Service was great and the new menu has lots of amazing new items. I love the sharable section especially.

I purchased tickets to an event at this location for a Bourbon pairing dinner. It was a Christmas gift for my fiancé. We had a fantastic time. The staff was fun and knowledgeable. The food and drinks, prepared by the staff (Matt Lange, chef, and Jacob Turner, bartender), were amazing. Marco Fanelli stepped in as the MC for the evening since the rep was not there for Heavin Hill and did an awesome job. 10/10 would do this again.

Went there for a happy hour in Jan and it was great, late afternoon during the week no one there, great service with some nice items on menu priced reasonably....so went on a sat afternoon mid day in March for lunch out of the sun. And I stayed out of the sun for two hours. The overwhelmed bar tenders took a long time to serve me and did not get my lunch for almost an hour. But I have to give them credit since I noticed they called and got help and apologized to every patron and comped some drinks even mine. The food was great and so was the staff so I guess I will return but definetly not on Sat!

Went for dinner tonight to try out some new menu items, they did not disappoint! We started with the bacon wrapped dates, those were a hit. Next we had the salmon with the pour over broth and the linguine + clams both were so amazing! Loving the new items!!

Located within the Kimpton Vero Beach Hotel & Spa, this oceanfront gem offers a fantastic atmosphere with stunning Atlantic views. The food is high quality and delicious; while the prices are on the higher side, the experience and setting make it worth the splurge. A highlight of the property is the beautiful outdoor fire pit area—perfect for relaxing after a meal. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and provides top-tier service that makes you feel right at home.

This restaurant/bar was so good we went twice during our stay in Vero beach. One of the best burgers I have ever had and the hanger steak was delicious. The bartender, Tommy and server Tony were the best. Highly recommend, can’t wait to go to Vero beach again.

Small menu. Remarkable food. Great hummus. Unbelievable skirt steak.

Small menu but excellent vibes. The burger was outstanding. Will definitely return.

Max is the best bartender in Vero! What a fun experience. Everything from the food to the music was on point. We’ll definitely be back for another one of his famous cocktails.

It's beachside with an ocean view!!! Awesome food and atmosphere. Love the views!!

Went for cocktails one evening with a friend. My drink was fine and our waitress was very friendly and accommodating to my friend who did not care for her wine. Nice that they had two fire pits which would be lovely to enjoy on a cooler evening. But it was warm enough that the fire pits were not needed. If you sit too close to the fire pit, you stand the chance of getting a lot of hot air blown into your face from the breeze. Overall, the service was excellent. Drinks were delicious, and the Ocean view is to die for.

We had a party of 3 and we had a great time during their very short, 1 hour, happy hour. So when they say happy hour, they mean only 1 hour. Luckily, we arrived right at the beginning of that hour. The food was actually very tasty and delicious. We were very happy and will return for that quick 1 hour happy hour again! The view was excellent as well.

Heaton's is truly a hidden gem. The food, drinks and atmosphere are amazing. But what really stands out is the Customer Service form the OUTSTANDING bartenders, namely Alex who works his butt off and goes ABOVE and BEYOND, honesty, I cannot believe how hard he works every single time we are there. Congratulations to Heaton's for having Alex, and also Tommy and Max are wonderful too, so hard working. Thank you for this outstanding customer service we receive every time we visit Heaton's.

We LOVE Heaton's. Best bartenders, views, and great food. Huge shout out to Tommy the Bartender for continuous outstanding service, and many thanks to Chef Raymond for the delicious appetizers and for going above and beyond with our food! Excellent experience always .

I was there too late for food. The atmosphere was amazing. I did look at the menu, next time early enough for some food. I will be back to visit. Customer service was impeccable, sadly lacking in some places in Vero Beach.

The food was elevated, fresh, and delicious. The outside atmosphere was really lovely, and the service was top notch. The special cocktail menu was inventive and we can't wait to go back next time we're in town.

Last-minute trip to Vero Beach. Someone in town recommended and very glad we went. It was very chilly out so we really didn’t have a view due to them, closing the shadesbut the food was amazing. We had the octopus, Sword, fish tacos, and the shrimp, lettuce wraps. Would recommend and return.

We went to Heaton's with friends for a light dinner. The food is now excellent. My fried chicken sandwich was outstanding. The octopus was tender and moist. After dinner we walked over to a fire pit outside of Cobalt. It was a perfect oceanside evening with wine conversation and laughter. Entertainment has been outstanding, making it a good place to chill with drinks, as well. The Vero Beach Hotel is an upscale establishment, so expect excellent quality and appropriate pricing.

This is a gem. Located right on the beach and with a variety of food items and curated cocktails, Heaton's is probably the highest quality food you're going to get at these prices. Average entree is about $20 and the cocktails will run you around $15. The service is always good. Servers are sincere and management actually cares. Highly recommend to locals and visitors alike! My faves: Lettuce Wraps, Clam Linguine, and truffle fries!

S
Star Dly

This is smart casual dining since it's part of the hotel pool side area. You can't see the beach too easily from the dining tables which is a shame as that beach front view really is the selling point. Food is good but nothing fancy, for the price I'd expect better food and service. Also, if you go for the artichoke, crab and cheese dip be very careful, it arrives in a skillet which isn't too hot to touch but no one mentions the cheese is boiling hot so you place some on a piece of bread none the wiser taking a bite, of course hot cheese sticks to your mouth making it impossible to remove quickly so ended up burning the bridge of my mouth thus ruining the rest of my meal. This wasn't my first visit so this review score is based on all visits.

J
Julia R

We had the grilled salmon, summer salad, wings and truffle fries. All top notch. The poolside, ocean view is lovely. Service was slow and not attentive enough…especially for the prices you pay. Had the burger and turkey sandwich another day and they were not good. Definitely skip the sandwiches. After dark the place comes the life with fluorescent lighting and dance music. Very fun. I would recommend Heatons to a guest of the hotel but don’t go out of your way to eat here.

Had a great meal by the water. Drinks and appetizers were all good. Our meals were nice. Most had the steak and other had fish. Everyone enjoyed. Desserts were on point as well. Nice little spot to try and hide out from the crowds.

My 4 star review is based only on the manager at the time we were there this weekend. He was incredible! I had to send my filet back because I ordered it rare and it came just under medium and the outside was burned along the edges. I decided not to order anything else from worry it would be the same. He came to our table, got down at our level to speak to us, he was smiling and kind and very apologetic. He gave me a key lime pie on the house, which was good. The bar staff was friendly and energetic. However, 17 dollars for a regular size cocktail was a bit outrageous. Now, I would have been totally okay paying that price were the drinks good. They weren't even palatable. I ordered a Pina coloda... which had 3 ounces of rum in the bottom of a 12 oz cup. It was sickeningly strong. We tried 3 other cocktails all with the same or worse issues. The food is decent, manager is great, but, the bartenders are not good at making drinks.

On a beautiful Sunday at a bar that is overlooking the beach (especially during snowbird season) there should be a minimum of 2 bartenders.. The one bartender working was great, but having to wait 15 min for a drink is ridiculous.

J

It's a decent restaurant with a great view. The food is over priced. Obviously, you're paying for the location. The table ware and service are equivalent to a better causal dining chain restaurant. My short rib dinner was satisfactory. My wife had swordfish, which she enjoyed very much. We won't rush back.

Went there for a birthday celebration was my first time as well as some of my guest first time. Our server was amazing so nothing against her as well as our food! Unfortunately I believe he was the manager in my opinion needs some more customer service training. I ordered a drink and didn’t like it so sent it back and got something else. He came over and said did you send your drink back I said yes I didn’t care for it, he proceeds to say well maybe you should order wine or beer! I ordered another drink and was happy with it. Let me just say that was at the beginning of dinner so it put a distasteful taste in my mouth about coming there. Thankfully the food was amazing and again our waiter was as well. I don’t think I’ll be going back

Very nice setting overlooking the beach. We ordered stuffed clam appetizer 🤷‍♂️which was not really a stuffed clam and very small portion (6) for $18. The shrimp lettuce wrap appetizer was very tasty $19. Smashed burger with Cesar salad very good $25. Lobster roll with Cesar salad $45 🤷‍♂️ Chicken wings $18 Kettle/soda $15 Bulleit barrel bourbon on the rocks $19 😳 glass of Rodney strong cab $17 culinary gratuity $2.48 🤷‍♂️ Overall nice evening but expensive

I've been to Vero a number of times. Never had been here so thought I would try it. Essentially this is an upscale pub. The food was prepared very well and wonderful. The mixed drinks were terrible. Clearly the bar tender does not know how to make a whiskey sour. The main attraction is really the view. We paid $244 for 4 people which seemed excessive for the meal we received (fish tacos, burgers and a steak). I don't really think I'd go back as there are many other choices in and around Vero where you can get a much better value. The food is good so if you have ca$h to burn give it a try.

I started at the bar with a taco and drink. The service and food were excellent!!! Would have been a 5 ☆. A bit later moved to a table where we had a reservation for six. This is where things went downhill as our server was slow, not smiling or particularly friendly. While the food was great, we were celebrating birthdays and the ambience was important. I had to ask for a to go box three times. The kicker was the bill which automatically added a tip of 24%, not mentioned when the reservation was made. The price would have been worth it if the service had been better.

K
Kimberley Mann

I had the Pork Loin. 35 dollars and the meat itself was very tasty. The kale was way overcooked. It was my Mother's birthday and we had a party of 10 people. Our server was pleasant enough. For a 24 percent tip, they should be. They add the tip automatically. This place would be okay for happy hour but I believe you can get more bang for your buck somewhere else. Also, people at our table were inquiring about deserts to our server and she closed the check out without taking desert orders.

I am a local. I used to LOVE THIS PLACE. Back when my husband and I got married in 2022 we came here for our reception, that’s how much we used to love it. Every year for our anniversary 2/2/22 we would come and have a delicious meal. YES it was expensive, but we LOVE good food and a good environment and we don’t mind paying for it for special occasions. If you are local, you know we had a crazy freeze. It happened on our anniversary and instead of being able to do our usual, watching the sunrise on the ocean where we got married & eating at Heaton’s where we had our reception, we had to protect our farm of tropical trees. Which pretty much died anyway. So for my birthday today on 2/21 we decided to make up for it by doing what we planned to do for our anniversary. To say that we were disappointed was an understatement. I ordered a mini bottle of brut rose, which I thought was going to be a half bottle, turned out to be a split for $30. We ordered the lobster BLT and a salad. Both of us, I got the ceasar and my husband got plain salad with ranch. The lobster has a very strong seasoning which we weren’t expecting & his salad was drenched in vinaigrette…. That was $45 each per sandwich that came on a hamburger bun. Def not lobster roll-ish. Like we had MANY times there. I was very disappointed in my drink so I ordered a glass of white wine after which came in a plastic cup that wasn’t even half full… I asked to speak to the manager (Ankush) he initially apologized, but then said the salads came with vinaigrette, ??? Plus the dressing??? That was weird, & obviously not true. My husband was beyond done at that point as we knew sharing our experience was pointless. So we just asked for a check. He did remove the $30 split wine, which I guess was nice, but still. Def NOT worth what we paid for and we aren’t rich. Even if you are rich, I dare say those people are repeat customers. Moral of the story. I am not sure what has happened to this place but it used to be amazing and now it’s just a way overpriced bland run of the mill beachfront wanna be…. We won’t ever go back….

If you’re hungry, do not go to this beachside restaurant.. the view is lovely. However, the service is nonexistent …waited an hour for a salad …walked out. as an aside, the menu is very limited..we will never return

WORST SERVICE AND FOOD EVER!! Stay away!!!! Totally disappointed in the food and service at the restaurant! The staff was not friendly and seemed to be unconcerned about their customers and unprepared to serve anyone in a timely fashion! We had a reservation but upon arriving THEY were not prepared to seat us at proper table and only had a high top table for us to sit at. Once seated it took them at least 20 - 30 minutes to take our drink order and another 30 minutes to deliver drinks and an appetizer! Dinner was extremely disappointing! My husband order blackened swordfish which arrived burnt, very dry with no flavor! My son ordered steak that also burnt and dry! I also ordered swordfish with roasted potatoes the potatoes were burnt with little flavor on the swordfish! The appetizer was jumbo shrimp cocktail that was very tough! Burnt and dry seems to be their specialty! I normally don't write bad reviews for restaurants but this one was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! The only thing that came quickly was the bill! Save your money and select another restaurant!

My wife, mother-in-law and 7 week old baby waited an hour for food during a non-busy time (nearly empty dining room, in fact). They were planning on bringing me some food home but we had to cancel due to the inordinate time it took them to bring out the food. I ended up splitting a burger that had decent flavor but was planning on having the grouper sandwich. The waitress was very nice, however.

We made a reservation a week in advance. We received multiple requests asking us to confirm we’d be there on Friday, 1/26. We arrived for our reservation and they told us they were close for a private party. They said they noticed us about the mixup by phone, but they never did. They offered us 25% off to eat in Cobalt where you can get a filet for $55. Not what we planned on. Bad service and bad faith. Very disappointed in the entire organization.

We had a reservation for 12:45 on Saturday. They we’re busy but it didn’t seem too bad. We watched people walk in with no reservation, get sat, and get their food while we were still sitting with our nearly empty plastic cups. Our server never came to check on us and apparently never checked on our order. After around 45 minutes I got the servers attention, I asked for more drinks but before I could ask about the food he rushed off. 15 minutes later no drinks, no food, we had enough so I flagged him down again and asked what was going on. He told me the kitchen lost our check but they’d make our food now. I told him to forget it and we would pay for the drinks and go. He rushed off and so we got up and went to the front hoping to pay the drinks with someone else. He ran back out and saw us leaving and said the drinks were on the house if we wanted to wait for our food but neither him or the manager standing there even apologized. It was a waste of a Saturday afternoon for a watered down drink.

Had lunch on 01/30/18. Took at least 20 minutes to get our drinks (after they were ordered). Appetizer never came (I guess it did but that was with the lunch). Took at least an hour to get our food which consisted of sandwiches. Had to speak to the exec chef to get it. They were friendly but typical answers of “kitchen is busy.” Kids grilled cheese was over toasted. Caesar salad came without croutons (they were still making those we were told). Rest of the food was just ok but bill was still over $100 for mediocre at best sandwiches. They generously comped is our two rum runners. To top it off I took my son to use the restroom and the floor was covered with urine. Skip this place and go to McDonald’s.

I paid $35 for a burrata “salad” that had ultra thin sliced tomato with an egg sized burrata cheese. I added the shrimp to eat more protein and it was only 2 medium sized shrimp for $14 add on. I don’t have a problem paying premium prices when I get enough food to actually feel satisfied. However, this salad was a highly overpriced appetizer. I won’t be back. Heaton’s management: don’t be so cheap!

S

Poorly run establishment in a beautiful location, the chairs and tables are on there last leg literally. Service is AWFUL for a hotel charging as much as they do. Has only only gone down hill over the years sadly.

B
Brittain Von Furstenberg

Originally went to Cobalt for lunch, but they were closed for a private event. We went to Heaton’s as an alternative as we had already used the valet. Host said it would be 45 minutes for a table, but there were 4+ tables that were empty and needed to be cleared. We were seated quickly but waited 10 minutes to be greeted and then ordered drinks which never came. When we looked around, no one had food so we left. They are extremely under-staffed and it shows. The view and hotel are beautiful but need a lot of maintenance. Unfortunate for such an upscale and beautiful location.

Had plans to stay and dine but after receiving less than friendly service at the bar, decided to move on. “Tommy” seemed to think most customers were an inconvenience. Shame since the atmosphere has potential to be a nice place.

Had a friend surprise birthday party there this passed Sunday. We arrived at 2:30 and waited for the rest of our party, ordered drinks and appetizers then after three was handed a menu for 35% off appetizers if before 3 PM, missed that boat because we were not given that menu in time. They gave us 1 at 35% off and there were at least 8 or so appetizers. I ordered shrimp cocktail 3 shrimp for 21$ and after completely deveining eating one shrimp I noticed something was off and by the time the server got back to us I was already not feeling well. Server came back after a while with a new order of shrimp cocktail which I did not eat and told me they had removed it from the bill and that the chef admitted it was a little off.?? How did that even leave the kitchen? I spent the rest of Sunday evening and all day, Monday, sick in bed, fever, vomiting, and diarrhea. I do not have a weak stomach, so I know the shrimp were bad and the chef admitted it. I would not recommend the seafood if you are going there. Sever was very friendly and accommodating, atmosphere is right on the water so that’s nice. The fans were a nice add to keep the heat down. Also, it seemed very frustrating to the staff that we asked for separate checks which they eventually accommodated. 1 star for me. Sad day for Vero dining for me.
