I love this restaurant , and usually eat here when I’m in the area visiting my parents. I like the wide menu selection and the rotating selection of seasonal draft beers. They usually have pretty good daily specials to mix up the menu also. My go to choices - hot spinach dip , Cobb salad, and chicken Rochester. Portions are large !

Really good!! The Mac and cheese was so much I still had some left over after eating it for lunch the next day!! We also got the Buffalo flatbread and the Buffalo sandwich. Plus some pecan upside down cake for dessert!

Overall great food! Stopped here both times my band toured and performed at Turning Stone. Staff was friendly, wait wasn't long, and the food was tasty. It's a tad pricier than I would've liked but overall a great stop.

Food was delicious! Onlt down side was it very hard to eat. Was a special open faced sandwhich pilled high and almost impossible to eat without losing all the toppings... BUT it was still amazing. Peach Saeur was a delicious beer. Waitress was super friendly. Bathroom is very clean - bathroom gets a 5/5!!

The service was great but we were VERY disappointed that our $16 boozy milkshake didn’t taste boozy at all, all the toppings on it were very bland, & the friggin cup was HALF FILLED WITH WHIPPED CREAM AT THE BOTTOM 😤

The food was delicious! And very filling. Our server was great I don’t think it was her fault what was happening. We ordered our drinks and it took so long for drinks to come…at least fifteen minutes…same with the appetizer we had to ask if it was coming out anytime soon. Then the meals…we were a party of 3…we looked around the restaurant there was one other table in there and they were paying their bill. We couldn’t figure out what was taking so long. The food did finally come. And it was good! (Except the fries their not worth it they were cold and hard) But the wait was unreal. If that’s the kind of wait you have when you’re the only table in the restaurant I can’t imagine what one has at peak hours.

Overpriced and underwhelmed…those boozy shakes sound and look so good and are so tempting but at $16 each with very little milkshake and a whole lot of whipped cream, beware! Only a third of the glass was milkshake, the rest was whipped cream. The chocolate with sprinkles on the glass is hard chocolate and couldn’t even be chiseled off with a fork or knife to enjoy so it went to waste. The embellishments are a nice touch and are all edible but the Oreos were stale. The Tavern burger is $22 and it comes with fries. The fries were good (nice and crispy) but the burger was dry. It cost us $78 (with tip) for two burgers and one milkshake. We each had water. The ambience is nice but the food is not very good. You are better off going to the buffet just down the stairs for the same price and it is much more satisfying. Do better Upstate Tavern!

To be fair we went (husband and 2 kids) for drinks and desserts. The host was great but our waiter was clearly annoyed or not interested in being kind. He didn’t introduce himself and seemed absolutely uninterested in serving us.

We visited this restaurant during a blizzard to feed our kids, but the staff was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. They claimed to have only one waitress and refused to seat us, even though we saw at least three waitresses and no customers (I’ve included pictures). Later, the manager said we could get seated, and to our surprise, there were about six or seven waitresses and a few bartenders. As I was passing by the bar, two waitresses (I’ve included their pictures) were making nasty comments about our family with kids. One of them openly displayed her attitude towards us. Our kids were hungry and upset, and we had a terrible experience. Our check was over $1,500, and they charged us 20% in tips. I guess the stuff okay about our money even though they ruined our day at the beginning. They didn’t want to take our orders, finally two girls (Amy and Emily) took our orders and they actually were the only ones who were professional and nice, I hope they got all the tips, not the rest of the snakes. The food was okay, but the portions were extremely small for the kids. If it weren’t for the blizzard and our hungry kids, we would never have stepped foot in this place again.

Went to TS today on Christmas for lack of anything else to do. Was planning on a nice lunch with my wife. Female bartender had different ideas. She was cold,rude and disrespectful. Never made eye contact. She laughed in my face when I called her out on a terrible pour. Would have been easy to make right. Had an appetizer and she never asked how it was or if we’d like to order lunch. Her manager commented on her on lack of smiling. Real puss face. Not my fault that you have to work Christmas. Your tip reflected your lack of service. You were definitely worth the $.03. Now you have something else to whine about. Thanks for ruining our visit. We won’t be back. Update 12/31: I replied to their email request and never received a reply. This leads me to believe their reply was BS and they care about one thing, separating you from your money….period.

I recently dined at The Upstate Tavern and I must say, the food was delicious. However, the customer service left much to be desired. Our waitress struggled to explain the menu, and she was unhelpful with our questions. When a windstorm caused a power outage, we were left in the dark with no communication from the staff. Despite the circumstances, no one, including the manager or our waitress, came to update us. I had to repeatedly call our waitress over, only to be ignored as she walked away. While the food was enjoyable, the lackluster service overshadowed the experience.
