I wouldn’t change one single thing about this place. The waitresses were very friendly and prompt. The food was cooked perfectly. And the prices were very reasonable. I loved everything about this place and will be happy to go again.

I got the steak and eggs for breakfast. It was amazing . I loved the hash brown. It was perfect. Not overcooked or burnt. Steak was cooked perfectly also and so are my eggs. Yummy 😋

Love everything I've ever had there. Especially tapioca and rice pudding also strawberry shortcake. They girls that work there are always friendly, helpful and fast. They have a wide variety of food and several specials as well as deserts. Very lovely diner.

The waitress we had was prompt, and incredibly friendly. I ordered the bacon cheese burger, medium rare, and not only was it on the table in about 10 minutes, but it was done perfectly, and tasted even better than it looked. The prices are fair, the food is great, the staff is fun, attentive, and so happy they could lift your spirits up even on the darkest days. If you haven't been here yet, I highly recommend you get yourself over there and experience it for yourself.

My boyfriend and I stopped in for a quick bite before heading back to Tennessee. Jessica was our server. She was very nice and attentive! The food was amazing (I got the Banana Bread Pancakes, my boyfriend got the Philly and Egg Wrap) and it came out quick. Good coffee, good atmosphere. There seemed to be many regulars present, and it is clear why! Totally recommend and thank you, Skylark’s Diner (and Jessica), for the great experience! :)

Skylark is a gem and I hope it’s there forever! We were back in Vestal after a decade away and Skylark was a “must do”. In fact we went a few times during our 1 week stay. Before we moved away, we had both been Skylark patrons for more than 30 years - so many great memories! The service is always great and the food is too with ah-may-zing affordable pricing and lots of coffee refills 😋

The Skylark Diner hold a special place in my heart. For many Endwell, Endicott, and Vestal kids, it’s often one of the first places you go to when you get your license. The hours are perfect too, and is practically the only reliable place to hang when it’s late. This review is more sentimental than it is about the food, which I will not apologize for. I love this place.

Service was great and food came out quickly. Only problem was my daughters vegan burger was a little burnt and under cooked in middle. Also asked the cashier if we could include tip when paying with card,she said yes. I did not notice until I was home that she had not included the tip, now I feel really bad that the waitress in fact did not receive her tip.

A throw back to a more intimate experience at diner dining . We sat at the counter and had friendly wait staff stop their busy lunch rush to answer our questions and reminisce with my husband who grew up in the area over 40 years ago. The food was hot and delicious. They served my favorite, sweet potato fries.

This is exactly what a diner should be. It's an old school metal diner, straight out of the 50s. The decor is definitely old school without feeling dated, or old. Everything is in great shape, and just feels "right". The food is always good, and exactly what diner food should be. Some diners try too hard, and have a menu full of random junk. Skylark keeps it perfect, with lots of choices, without getting too far away from good diner food. No, its not a 5 star bistro with small tapas plates and organic quinoa burgers. It's a diner, with amazing diner food. Real food. The cheeseburgers are strangely addicting, the breakfast that's served 24 hours a day is always hot, and delicious, and the desserts are amazing. I just had a piece of pumpkin cheesecake that changed my life. Every time I come here, I always end up asking myself why I ever eat anywhere else. The prices are more than reasonable, the food is consistently good, and the ambiance is awesome. Whether you're leaving the bar at 3am and need some grub, or taking the family after church in a Sunday, this place never disappoints.

Every time I've been to Skylark Diner, my friends and I have been mostly treated with respect and professionalism. Many of the servers do their best to ensure that everyone is being served. It makes me respect these workers and all the workers who dedicate their time to ensure business at the Skylark Diner runs smoothly. I've loved the skylark for 20+ years! I do wish sometimes they would have an extra server or 2 on. Last time we waited 15 minutes before someone came over to get our order. But the food makes up for it.

This is one of my top fav diners!! I go here about 2 or more times a month. The staff is always quick & helpful. It’s an old style diner, so sure the building could use a face lift maybe, but I find that to be part of its charm.

Went here with some friends and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The employees were all delightful. The ambience is unpretentious old school diner. The food quality is really solid and the prices were really affordable considering the highly inflationary prices you'll find at other places. Will definitely be going back again.

We had an incredible breakfast at the Skylark. We were in the area for a wedding and we asked the people who live there where to go and they all said the same thing. We arrived to a 15-20 minute wait which we hoped meant the food was good and we weren’t disappointed. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and our meals were brought out quickly, especially considering the fact that the diner was busy. Food was excellent and plenty of it! If we are back in the area, I know that we will be eating here.

was in the area for work and decided to stop in and give it a try. I can say the service was friendly, prices fair, and the pulled pork BBQ sandwich was really good. although there was a bit much sauce, even had my bun soggy by the end, but still delicious!! Definitely would recommend. also loved how much marinara sauce they have for the mozerella sticks, they're not stingy with it like every single restaurant in PA, just would be nice to see 6-8 instead of just 4, but maybe they could offer both options in the future?

Fast and friendly service! Good breakfast food. I had the Greek Omelette with Spinach, Tomatoes, and Feta Cheese with whole wheat toast, home fries, and a side of bacon. My wife had a Western Omelette with whole wheat toast and home fries. On our second visit, the following week- My wife had the Two Piece Banana Bread French Toast, and I had the Greek Omelette with Spinach, Tomatoes, and Feta Cheese with whole wheat toast, home fries, and a side of bacon. Jessica, Stephanie, and Erica are great and made for a great dining experience. The tables and restroom are kept clean.

The Skylark Diner, a Vestal mainstay since 1956. Serving great food with great service and a wonderful atmosphere. Today, I tried the Skylark breakfast wrap. Which were two scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and a hash brown on a Jalapeño cheddar wrap. I was encouraged by my waitress to put hot sauce on it. It had a great taste. The hash brown added a nice crunch to perfectly scrambled eggs. I tried the hot sauce on the second half of my wrap, and it added a nice flavor. So if you try the Skylark breakfast wrap, add the hot sauce. I will definitely be back to try the other menu items.

Amazing food and service. They were packed and I knew that was a good sign. I drove an hour because I saw banana bread french toast on their menu. Yes I could make it at home, but it would not taste nearly as good. It did not disappoint either. The home fries were good too. I got a Bavarian cream donut to go because it looked great and they just brought them out, it too was good. I will be back when in the area again.

Love this place for breakfast! They do serve lunch and dinner, but I have never tried them. If you go for breakfast, it tends to be busy, so be aware of that. They do move right along, so it's usually only like a ten minute wait. Overall I love this place for the good food and 50's-60's diner atmosphere!

I have to admit I’m biased on Skylark.... my wife and I have been going there for years. The service is fast. The waitresses are outstanding. They are attentive to your needs and keep my coffee cup topped off. My wife really likes the potato pancakes and the spinach Florentine omelette (I think that’s what it’s called). I think their real in house “home made” corned beef hash is about the best local hash you can get. Over easy eggs are always perfect. The short order cooks are TOPS. They would make Odd Thomas proud. Overall, it’s one of our top go to breakfast places.

Authentic, art deco type diner with large menu and all day breakfast. Most dinner entrees come with salad and 2 sides. All day breakfast includes omelettes, wraps and pancakes, French toast and Belgian waffles (waffles only til 1pm). My MIL had the lasagna and a salad and dinner rolls-a little bit small but tasted delicious. My BIL had crab cakes — fried golden brown and nice sized- with salad and a side of spaghetti. My hubby had the Buffalo chicken wrap and a salad- good sized but pretty average. I had the short stack of French toast and a side of sausage patties. Nothing outstanding but diner-style just what I wanted with some maple syrup. The BEST part of the meal was DESSERT! We both had the rice pudding with a heap of whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg. One for the most authentic and best-tasting rice puddings I’ve had! Completed with never-ending hot coffee and it I ended a happy camper! Would definitely recommend this place for a diner-type meal with good old comfort food at EXTREMELY AFFORDABLE PRICES!

Located in Endicott. Service was great and welcoming. Felt like a mom's and pops kind of atmosphere. The food was enormous and the prices reasonable. I had chili which was really good after adding just a little salt and pepper (to my liking). I also ordered the chicken bourbon wrap with fries to go. Needless to say I'm splurged a bit. 😊

Growing up in Vestal, Skylark was an icon of my childhood. After moving away and after the pandemic hit, I hadn't been for years, but while visiting home over the summer I went back with a friend, and aside from no longer being open 24/7 (which is a bummer, but they're still open later than I think every other diner in the area), they're just as I remember. The menu is classic diner fare with all day breakfast. The food is mostly unremarkable but satisfying, and if you're craving really stereotypical American diner grub it will fully hit the spot. The omelettes are the thing on the menu that I keep going back to, and the potato pancake side (small fried potato patties, almost like hashbrowns, but denser and with herbs) is one thing here that stands out to me as pretty unique. Ask for the garlic parm sauce to go with. Another recommendation would be to ask for the blueberry muffin grilled, or any muffin, really. I'm a fan of all of the baked goods. The portions are very filling and it's good value for your money. The vibe is what really makes the place. I wouldn't call it a "must-visit" based on food alone, but the overall experience is wonderful. The front of the restaurant is a real retro diner, the back doesn't have that train car look but is still old-school in design (and has some bigger tables for large groups). You will see people of all ages hanging around and the general atmosphere always feels very positive to me. In all my years of coming here I've had exactly one experience with a waitress who was less than pleasant; every other time I can remember, everyone has been so sweet and if you come back they will remember you. I was surprised and touched when I went this summer after not coming for 4-ish years and the waitress remembered me and my old favourite order.

Great prices! Banana bread french toast was delicious!! They are very busy on Saturday mornings and there was a wait to dine, and then service was slow as they were pretty swamped. Just keep that in mind if you're gonna go on a weekend morning it will be BUSY.

Classic local diner. They serve breakfast all day so I had a three egg western omelette. It was very good. The decor is a little run down but it is clean and the staff is very friendly and efficient. I would definitely come here again

Food was standard dinner fair if a bit plain but pricing was very good super affordable. Staff was fantastic very friendly and very attentive and fast moving. Had a pleasant classic diner atmosphere a solid option for stopping just off the highway with minimal added time.

The food is always good. I like pickled beets but I had that with my pork chop and did not like the chopped up bay leaves mixed in the beets. You obviously don’t eat whole bay leaves but even chopped up they have as sharp texture, had to keep spitting them out.

The foods are very good with good price! They only offered one hashbrown for side but I ok with that for the price and it still filled me.

Homemade chili was amazing and my skyhigh double cheeseburger was great.

Sadly very, very bad food and even worse service. We thought we would give the place another go as it has been a very, very long time. We'll just as it once was it still is... just iffy... just ok. Ordered pancakes.. no taste at all.. with blueberries added for $2 more.. no problem paying such except they literally added MAYBE 10 total blueberries for the entire short stack!! The server was very rude and never once after dropping our food off came back except 25 mins later to give the check...however if she had she would have learned my home fries were clearly, very recently freezerburnt or somthing bc the taste was literally enough to gag me and spit them into a napkin!! It's very unfortunate however.. bc this was once one of my favs!! Can only hope for things to get better bc worse jist isn't possible... sorry for the honesty but it's is what it is!!!

I am very unhappy with this establishment, my friend and I went here after work around 7pm to get burgers and coffee. Got our coffee and waited 20 minutes for someone to try and take our order. Once we got our coffee we were never addressed again! My friend ended up slapping 2 bucks on the table and we left to go to a different dinner to get better service. In my opinion I told my friend we shouldn’t have left a penny due to our time being waisted.

The food was cold. The service was slow, server took multiple orders of people who sat after and didn’t help us until 20 mins after.

Wanted to get brunch with friends here. As me and my party walked in, there was a group in front of us so we had to hold the door open for a few moments cause there was no space for us. As we waited for their party to be seated, one waitress rudely told us to shut the door immediately, effectively making our party wait out in the cold. There is no way the door was open for more than one minute, we we're literally watching the party before us start to get taken care of when she did this. We we're moments from having enough space to get in quickly. We were all shocked at how rude this was. Will not ever be coming back. Further context, myself and one other member of my group are minorities, I truly hope this was not the reason for the way we were treated.

The waitress had an attitude from the moment we walked in. Food took a really long time and was bland. Told the girl at the front the meals were charged wrong and she simply said there was nothing SHE could do about it and charged us… could’ve gotten someone else to fix it. Was an easy fix she couldn’t be bothered to do. Won’t be back

This was my 1st time eating here. Met a friend for lunch.Our waitress was Jessica. I started with a cup of tea while deciding what I was going to have . My waitress brought me a cup of water and the tea bag . On her next trip back I asked for honey and got 1 little packet . I also had to ask for lemon next time she passed by .I feel this should have all been brought out the 1st time .I ordered a bowl of chili.When it came out it was mostly just beans and I had to set them aside. The waitress walked by and refilled my cup of tea with hot water waswithout asking .That was so weird to me. I did tell her the chili was way to much beans and her reply was yeah it has a lot of beans in it today. I really did not have a good 1st experience and no one seemed to care as I also told the cashier how awful the chili was and not even an apology. . It was not a pleasant experience.
