Opinions de Manzoni Milano Via Alessandro Manzoni
The reviews are all over the place. I had a hard time deciding where to go for an lovely meal and my analysis sent me here to grab something modern vs traditional. The music was god awful and the Dj must have been plugged into headphone playing a different song and dancing. The space not so cool either. The food on the other hand was really tasting. The rabbit was a bit too savory but came with an inventive light amaro like cocktail that wasn’t mentioned on the menu and was really nice. Come here if you want a party and something more adventurous than the rest of Milan offers. The scene is more children of arms dealers ready to live it up than art history professors. With all my negative thoughts about this place the kitchen knows what it is doing and perhaps in ways few are ready to embrace.
Always a pleasure to have dinner or an aperitivo at the Manzoni! The staff is very friendly and the place looks incredible. The food never disappoints me and I really recommend the octopus, sea bass and ham with burrata. After dinner the music gets louder and it's becoming a really nice place to have a little dance. Highly recommend it!
Upscale restaurant with complete mastery of design by Tom Dixon. The restaurant is also a showroom, everything you see is for sale (furniture, lamps, art, plates etc). Frequented by a younger it-or-wannabe-it-crowd, stunning models and other self-aware humans. Fantastic place, excellent food (the cuttlefish as well as the piglet I had were superb). Lounge music by live DJ, which at times got a bit too loud but was soon turned back to levels that allowed conversation without being overheard by neighbors. Definitely a must-go-back place for us. Obviously with that setting prices are higher but not to a bank-breaking extend. We spent 167€ for two with two starters, one primo and one secondo, 3 glasses of house wine, water and a shared desert which left us completely satisfied.
Great restaurant. We were walking on the street trying to find a place to have dinner when we saw The Manzoni, by chance. From the first moment all the staff are very nice and professional. The food is nice, good quality and well done. The cocktails are also very nice and made by professionals. I absolutely recommend it.
I decided to stop in on a whim on my only free night in Milan as the view from the street was too inviting to pass up. It turned out to be the best experience of my entire quick trip to Milano. The atmosphere was out of this world, from the decor (a must-see in and of itself), to the wonderful staff. I thought I would just have a quick drink and be on my way, but I decided to stay for dinner too, and I am SO glad I did. A local friend of mine joined up with me just in time for dessert and was stunned at how good it was (we had the millefoglie). The food was amazing, subtle yet flavorful and the portions left you satisfied but dreaming to come back again for more. If any place deserves to be "starred" it's here!
The Manzoni is by far one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to in any of my trips to Milano. The service was outstanding, the food and drinks were really high quality and the atmosphere was remarkable. This is a restaurant concept I would love to see expand to be an international brand. It’s elegant and sophisticated in every aspect of the customer experience.
Elegantly designed in lighting, seating and even carefully curated ceramics and home wares by Tom Dixon, was expected to write this off as a vanity project but had the happy accident of walking in and dining here with my sister while out for a drink one night in Milan. The staff could not be more welcoming and attentive. The chef David Figliolini who came straight from DiverXo clearly has cooking chops. Drinks were delicious and we had such a great time here, we ended up booking another reservation for our return trip.
Real Italian Food even for tourists We went into this restaurant by chance. Apparently this restaurant just opened 5 months ago. However the food was great - the ingredients very fresh. - The prawn tartare and fish ceviche were served chilled and firm, in delicate, well balanced sauces. - the pasta sauces were full of flavors. (Not those from canned tomatoes. Every sauce was made from scratch) - waiter knows which local wines to recommend. Overall real Italian food that will not disappoint tourists. (Many Italian restaurants are purely touristy- high price and no real Italian flavors)
Many of the dishes came close but weren't quite balanced. Definitely could have skipped the dessert, didnt want to finish it. Strange that dessert wines are only by the bottle. Support staff was great, the actual waiter seemed very unfocused, came across as rude even by European standards. For the price, you can do much better in Milano.
Absolutely waste of money really not worth it!!! 너무 비싸고 맛없습니다 Some problems to point out - Staffs are unprofessional, not prompt with water and placing cutleries not placed right. - really small portion for money. ravioli pasta sachets are over 32 euros only 7 of them and you really cannot taste the calamari - worst of all, in the truffle pasta, the truffle were tasteless and it really wasn’t nice - veal dumpling were too salty Only one thing that was good was the fried octopus and it was to the perfection( only reason why it is not a one star)
I can’t understand the good reviews. We booked a table for four but they kept ignoring us almost the whole night. It started they didn’t bring us bread on the table even tho they charge you 20€ at the end of the dinner for it. The only good thing we’re the starters and the location. The pasta was the most disgusting I’ve ever had. Full of salt , cold and more than al dente!!! Just super hard. This was not proper cooked and we waited 1 hour for the main course as we finished way before the starters. I complained a few times but the waiter was not interested to find a solution . Same for the desserts we waited ages. At the end we asked for the bill they ignored us AGAIN so for this high amount we paid the end we needed to go ourselves to the frontbar and pay. WORST service . Can’t recommend it unfortunately even tho the location is very nice
Went there mostly for the experience. Main area closed due to Easter, no one knew about what they are showing. We also got kicked out of an area for opening a book to see the prices of what they were selling because "it is an office and it is open only when there is the manager". Food was unfortunately not great (The truffle on top of my pasta was old and without taste and the zucchini were bitter) but nothing was done by the waiters. I do not blame the chef trying to experiment but the waiters gave a terrible service. If the restaurant has to be presented in half, without anyone knowing about showroom, without the live music they usually have, then why do they keep it open? It is just not worth the extra cost.
