Absolutely incredible appetizers- the calamari and meatballs were delicious!! The main pasta dishes were also incredible and their cocktails are TO DIE FOR! My boyfriend got their whiskey flight and enjoyed the pamphlet that explained what each whiskey is. The service was also INCREDIBLE! Everyone was super friendly and we felt super attended to the entire visit. The restaurant is also in a super nice location (center of Mosaic) and it was super fun to eat, chat and watch the busy streets go by!

My partner and I loved our experience here. The staff were very welcoming and the food was wonderful! The pasta isn’t from scratch but was still great with options for mainstream and traditional Italian dishes. Our waitress Sarah was so kind and because it was our first time there she offered a champagne toast on the house. Pros: I loved the variety of protein options that could be added to dishes. The dinner overall was a little more expensive than we usually have for a casual night out but honestly the atmosphere and food was so worth it. We’re easy going people and just like to have a good return on investment wherever we dine. We definitely felt like we got that here. We’ll be back! Cons: I love an Alfredo dish or cacio e Pepe but there weren’t any offered. Recommendation: reservation for weekends or Friday nights.

Friends and I came here for dinner to celebrate birthdays, the service and food was amazing. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted instantly by Karis, energetic and passionate manager. Our server, Carlos was great and very attentive along with the rest of the staff. I ordered the Prosciutto De Parma, Tagliatelle, and Chocolate Gelato & Mango Sorbetto. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. I had couple bites of my friend’s Cacio E Pepe and hats off to the chef for making it better than the one I had in Rome. Can't forget to mention the butternut squash agnolotti. Didn't think that would be something I would enjoy a lot. I definitely recommend all the dishes I had that evening. Drinks were amazing, my friends order the espresso martini and it looked and tasted great! The birthday card signed by the whole staff was very thoughtful. Overall, everyone was very friendly and professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. Keep up the great work! I’m definitely planning on returning with my family. Thank you all for the excellent service and delicious food.

My wife and I wanted to celebrate our 26th Wedding Anniversary at an Italian Restaurant. I made a reservation using OpenTable with Alta Strada. We found parking easy enough and walked in to the restaurant to be greeted by a friendly gentleman who seated us immediately. Our server Karis, like Paris with a K (that's what she told us), provided us amazing, prompt, and friendly service. She attended to our dietary preferences, to include pointing out what to avoid, but also offering flexible alternatives. Management gifted us with cannollis (see the photo) to wrap up our meal. From our beverages, appetizers, entrées, to dessert, every morsel was delicious, fresh, and a delight to our pallates. The food sat well afterwards. The manager checked in with us to see how everything was. We had a great conversation with her and left with an overall good opinion of the restaurant. We learned that the menu is changed often, the ingredients our sourced as locally as possible, and the chefs go through great lengths to be accommodating of all the diverse dietary preferences in the area. Highly recommend if you want a delicious meal that fits your delectable desires.

We had a great experience. Our server Carlos was amazing. My wife and daughter loved how he was so attentive and the vibe of the place was really cool and everyone seemed nice. I had the baked ziti and it was pretty good. My daughter had the pizza and it was really good. My wife said that she wanted to come back just for the pizza. We are looking forward to coming back.

Food was delicious. No wait to be seated while every neighboring restaurant had 30 minute waits. Service was good. Complimentary bread! I had the vodka something pasta. Loved it. My friend had... a vegetarian pasta and she loved it. I just wish I wasn't dieting, or I'd destroy that complimentary bread.

Our service was great. The waitress was attentive. The food came out in a timely manner. We tried both bruschettas of the day. My favorite was the cod fish. It reminded me of eating salt fish back in the Caribbean. Our meals were good as well. I tried the Penne a la Vodka with shrimp. It was plentiful with shrimp and a-little spicy. I wish the menu would have said that. It’s not unbearable spicy but I needed to drink my water frequently while eating. The Baked Ziti was yummy per my friend. Another friend tried the Lasagna Bolognese and he didn’t like it. It lacked flavor. Our server switched it out for another meal with no hesitation. We had a great experience. There’s a lot of parking available via the garages as well.

Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen in the Northern Virginia area, but this place really is wonderful. It’s definitely pricey and the menu isn’t as diverse as what you’d see at your local Olive Garden, but what they do cook, they cook spectacularly. This place would be tough for a family or s group, but is an awesome place for a date night. There’s nice patio seating which overlooks the park area and is really nice on cool, sunny evenings. Plus all the parking in Mosaic is free and plentiful, which makes it an easy place to get to. Definitely recommend!

In questo locale si mangia veramente bene ma soprattutto salutare, il personale è veramente molto rispettoso ed educato. Il locale esteticamente è molto carino, anche se personalmente quel pizzico d'estetica rustica non mi fa impazzire. Partiamo con i prezzi, mi sono preso una Insalata Gourmet buonissima e salutare al prezzo di €9,50 che non è neanche troppo alto per quel che è, quindi a parer mio i prezzi sono nella media. Ora inizio ad elencare i pregi negativi e i difetti: 1) Il menu mostrato sulla lavagna era limitato (probabilmente avevano finito alcuni ingredienti) e questo mi ha dato parecchio fastidio. 2) Lo scaffale dove vengono tenute le brioches e altro cibo era quasi vuoto, capisco che non era mattino e che di pomeriggio tendenzialmente i bar hanno la vetrina vuota, però non è comunque ammissibile, da l'impressione che il locale sia vuoto e che non abbia nulla da darti a parer mio, mancava veramente poco che io e il mio amico andavamo via come avevamo già fatto in altri bar. 3) Il gabinetto alla turca nel 2022 non si può vedere, è da demolire senza farsi troppe pretese e rimpiazzarlo IMMEDIATAMENTE con un gabinetto normale. Il cliente deve essere SEMPRE coccolato e non è affatto carino far trovare ai clienti uno schifo di gabinetto alla turca!

Wanted to try an Italian place and finally got around to going here, and it was mid 😔 The pastas really lacked flavor, and I don't think your sauces should be watery lol. The rigatoni is basically swimming in that sauce in the picture 😂 5/10...and dare I say it? Olive Garden is better smh 🤦‍♀️ Service was great here though~

I ordered 3 different pastas from Alta Strada through Uber Eats - yes. Shame on me for using Uber Eats. They mark stuff up 10-20%. I deal with that and am willing to order a pasta dish at $20+ a pop. What I’m not ok with is ordering 3 different pasta dishes and not one of them fills up a quarter of the to-go box. FWIW the pasta tasted pretty decent. But really guys? Pasta.
