First time at this place. Very casual atmosphere, excellent food, and plenty of it. The waiter/owner is friendly and speaks very little. The price is extremely fair for the quality and quantity of food served. Will definitely return.

On Saturday, we had lunch with our family and a friend from out of town to try the simple yet delicious cuisine at Trattoria dei Cacciatori, which never disappoints. On Saturday and Sunday, both lunch and dinner, the menu includes five appetizers, two first courses, two second courses with sides, two desserts, water, and wine for €25.00 per person. As always, the dishes are excellent and the service is prompt. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a mountain trattoria from the 1970s, and, in my opinion, that's where its retro charm lies. Reservations are highly recommended.

Wow, what an experience! I was the only foreigner here, and had no idea what to expect, except that it was a fixed menu. Course after delicious course, I had no real idea how many courses would come.( I'm sure it was posted somewhere but I must have missed it) But wow, just wow! Everything was fantastic! I had to try everything, and I regret nothing! Thanks for the wonderful culinary experience!

Last night I dined at this quaint trattoria after a day at the Lurisia spa. Reservations are highly recommended, as there are limited seating and the restaurant is always busy. In my case (Saturday evening), dinner was served for all guests starting at 8:30 pm. It's a typical Piedmontese tasting menu for €25 per person, including five appetizers, two first courses, two second courses with sides, two desserts, coffee, and drinks. We sampled a bit of everything, from roast beef with bagnetto verde to vegetable flan with bagna càuda, from ravioli with butter and sage to a delicious braised beef. We finished it all off with panna cotta and an exceptional shortcrust pastry cake reminiscent of cornmeal biscuits. The atmosphere is very informal and convivial, and we were served with kindness and attention. Parking is available right next to the restaurant.

On Saturday evening, after a day spent trekking in the mountains, we decided to have dinner at this trattoria after evaluating several other restaurants in the area. We read that the restaurant offers several fixed-price menus weekly. The one we were interested in for Saturday dinner consisted of 5 appetizers, 2 first courses, 2 second courses, dessert, and coffee (I specify that it is not à la carte, so you don't choose; you eat whatever the chef offers that evening). The fixed price per person is €25, and given the freshly prepared food, without preheating, all guests begin dinner at 8:30 PM. Having clarified these simple, but fundamental, restaurant practices, we moved on to making a reservation by phone (this is recommended, as is reading the menu and serving times for lunch (12:30 PM) and dinner (8:30 PM) to avoid misunderstandings or incorrect expectations). A very characteristic restaurant with wooden interiors and furnishings, as soon as you enter you grasp the values ​​of Piedmontese tradition and perceive the flavors of their excellent cuisine under your palate. Home cooking that is expertly and simply enjoyed, dish after dish, allowing us to savor all the dishes offered and even have a few second helpings kindly offered by the owner (honestly, I found him kind and helpful; he always responded politely). The dinner continued in a calm and serene atmosphere where one could breathe in the ancient tradition of Piedmontese trattorias that the place still preserves excellently. Home cooking from the appetizers to the first courses, the second courses (all with flavor combinations that married perfectly with each other, enriching and tantalizing the palate), homemade bread and finally dessert and a good coffee to close the meal full and satisfied. Free parking in the forecourt covers about fifteen cars. Outdoor terrace for dogs that are not allowed inside. I understand from the owner's responses to some negative reviews that often people, unlike us, go full of expectations and without considering the type of place they choose, which perhaps does not fit their target and their needs. Expectations. I'd also like to add that the bathroom is a bit tacky, which some people say is not very clean. It's true that it should be kept clean, but those who use it should also be careful. My deepest sympathy goes to the owner, and my compliments again for the excellent management and excellent food. We'll definitely be back to eat there. We like tradition, and their food, too. My only regret is that smokers don't move a few steps further away (since they just can't resist a smoke) and that they let an unpleasant smell of smoke into the restaurant. We were seated near the counter in the small room near the door.

Family-run restaurant that maintains the authentic atmosphere of the old Piedmontese trattorias, now almost impossible to find. Very good food, traditional dishes, slightly revisited, with a gourmet touch. Absolutely more than fair prices that refer to the entire single menu, including drinks and coffee; there is no à la carte menu, nor price list for individual dishes. To give you an idea, the weekly lunch includes 5 savoury courses and 1 dessert at a cost of €14.00. The dishes arrive as a surprise at the table, served in a single sitting. Informal welcome in a pleasant retro style context. Reservations are a must because places like this, once discovered, are frequented.

We really didn't expect to still find trattorias like this. There's a fixed menu for 13 euros plus a cover charge, and then at 12:30 they start serving the menu, which is the same for everyone and a surprise—that is, you never know what's coming. The quality was excellent, starting with veal with tuna sauce and pasta with ragù, sublime, then sausages, green salad, and pizza with onions and anchovies—a little salty for me, but good. For dessert, a superb almond mousse. In short, try it and believe it! Congratulations to everyone! We'll be back.

The restaurant is clearly visible on the main road, with a parking lot next to it. The entrance is on the ground floor, with no stairs; the interior is divided into two rooms. When we arrived, there were quite a few people having lunch. We were immediately greeted, and after checking our green passes, they seated us. There's a fixed menu, so there's no set menu, and you don't order anything; they bring everything. They brought us: two first courses; two second courses; a side dish; dessert; water and coffee for the modest sum of €11, and we ate very well. Everything was fantastic, truly kudos!

Questo ristorante propone giornalmente un menù diverso con prezzo fisso durante la settimana, invece il venerdì sera e weekend il prezzo aumenta leggermente a fronte di più portate. Comunque il cibo è buono. Di norma vengono proposti 2primi, 2 secondi con contorno, dessert, caffè, ed un 1/4 di vino a soli € 14.00.

The Trattoria dei Cacciatori on the hill is a place from another era, simple and down-to-earth. A typical Piedmontese trattoria, with a pleasant atmosphere and excellent food. It's located about a kilometer from the Lurisia thermal baths, just outside Mondovì, and reservations are required to secure a table.
