Ottimo locale, elegante e molto accogliente, ottimo servizio, e cibo di ottima qualità, riguardo all rapporto qualità prezzo, anch'esso è molto ottimo, super consigliato.
Cena di capodanno con amici. Buone disposizioni anticovid (distanziamento e controllo supergreen pass). Cucina tipica Ligure. Picagge al pesto e fritto misto all'italiana (dolce e salato) Da urlo...
A very well-maintained and charming venue with a fireplace and sofas. Excellent service and friendly staff. Traditional Ligurian dishes, such as fugassette and panissa, are delicious, and the stuffed vegetables are fantastic. But the highlight of the menu, in my opinion, is the fried food prepared the old-fashioned way: latte brusco, latte dolce, and fried vegetables. Everything is truly top-notch. Highly recommended, we'll be back.
On October 16, 2025, I had lunch in good company at this historic restaurant following an invitation from my dear Aunt Gianna for her birthday. Everything remained as it always has been: - a welcoming atmosphere - dishes prepared with care and with excellent quality ingredients, first choice, I emphasize, enjoyed in a pleasant atmosphere made even more pleasant by Anselmo, who continues to perform his role as waiter impeccably. Congratulations to the entire team.
A friend and I dined at this wonderful, elegant, and refined trattoria serving traditional Ligurian cuisine. It's located on the Bavari hills in Genoa, with indoor tables in various dining rooms and an outdoor garden with a beautiful view. Inside, the restaurant features armchairs and a wonderful fireplace. We were offered two risottos with mushroom sauce first, followed by panissette and fried fugassette as appetizers. For our first course, we had chestnut picagge with pesto, egg tagliatelle about 4 centimeters wide, topped with Genoese pesto, and ravioli au tuccu, Genoese ravioli with a touch of meat. For our second course, we had fried calamari and crystal potatoes. We loved everything: it was plentiful, exquisite, delicious, and the staff were welcoming, smiling, competent, and kind. The service was attentive and fairly quick, although the prices were reasonable. With a friend we had dinner in this wonderful elegant, refined trattoria restaurant serving typical Ligurian cuisine located on the heights of Bavari in Genoa with internal tables in various internal rooms and also outdoors in the garden with a beautiful view. It is a good place to go and enjoy good food and a good glass of wine
Amazing place just minutes from the center of Genoa. The day was cold and rainy, but warmed by a huge fireplace. Excellent lunch; from appetizer to dessert, everything was truly delicious. Perfect fried food, including the fried dessert, which I've only ever had here. The staff is kind and friendly; you can tell they love their work and have been doing it for generations. I'll be back soon. Congratulations on everything.
A dinner with friends, my dad recommended the restaurant to me, I expected to eat well instead it went beyond delicious dishes beautiful to look at but above all delicious.. one of the best dinners of my life in 25 years that I have lived in Zena... Wonderful place warm and welcoming a part of Zena that fills the ❤️
Excellent Ligurian food perfectly cooked end served.
A wonderful restaurant in the Ligurian hills of Bavari. It's well-kept and welcoming, with a wonderful, glowing fireplace, as is the owner, Anselmo, who looked after us as if we'd known each other all our lives. Traditional Ligurian dishes are cooked to perfection, with attention to ingredients and presentation. The wine cellar and menu selection are excellent. We'll definitely be back, thank you!
Ruscin is like fine wine that improves with age... The quality is always top-notch, the cellar is well-stocked, the location is magical, the service is very... Genoese (which is a plus). The prices have remained virtually unchanged, and the value is excellent. Every time we return, it's a bit like treating ourselves. It's a shame about the limited parking, but then again, you can't have everything.

Pay a little more, get a *lot* more here. Mr. Anselmo will entertain you while you taste some of the best Ligurian cuisine ever over the hills of Genoa. Totally unmissable!
food was ok, a little bit too pricey but good overall atmosphere
You eat well but you spend a lot... in proportion to the type of food you order, you spend too much: 120 euros without wine for 3 starters, 1 main course and 2 desserts. The location is very nice though.
Mid-August. Three adults and two children, €180 (for four starters, three main courses, and three desserts)—a bit excessive. We waited an hour for the first course. We asked for bread when the main course arrived, and they brought us mini pizzas and focaccia, no bread. They said it was out of stock. It's a lunch we booked a long time ago, so they could have organized it better. The rating goes to the dishes: the starters and main courses were good, as were the desserts (the cheesecake was out of stock). On the other hand, the yogurt Bavarian cream was delicious.
Let's start with the positives: Beautiful place and excellent food (especially the desserts). Now: Sunday lunch, and at 1:30 the bread was "out," appalling service with a rude waiter who brought us completely dirty plates. You can't have cheese at the table; they grate it directly onto your pasta and clothes (a dusting of 2-3 grams at most, lest they use too much). €15 for a tartare on a huge plate with a couple of drops of sauce, not even a sprig of salad. €3 cover charge per person and they brought us pieces of dry focaccia and three mini sandwiches (there were 8 of us). Despite the excellent quality of the food, I won't be returning.
A total disappointment. Dishes were literally tasteless, except for the greasy butter they put everywhere, including the pesto and mushrooms. The pesto was insufficient, and the mushrooms (expensive!) tasted like nothing. The ravioli were a good choice. Fortunately, I'd never had the Ligurian-style rabbit (terrible), already stewed. The wait was also long. I had guests over, and I was embarrassed. To be forgotten.
