This place is so delicious! Ee had the beef tallow fries & double cheeseburger. It's like a smashed burger. They only have 2 in California. One it is in Yucca Valley and the other one is in Victorville. It's been around since 1934. Must try !
I go through the drive through 99% of the time. My reason to eat here is, the food is cooked in tallow. There is no other place that cooks like that, therefore they get my business. I have not been disappointed with the food. I order either garlic burger, regular burger or chicken fingers. The shakes I get in the summer. Some people don’t like that service is slower than anywhere else, I don’t mind it because the food is made fresh and it doesn’t happen in seconds and being good. I like to taste my food fresh. I will not eat fast food anywhere else.
This is a great American classic diner. This is a must to stop for a hamburger, fries and a shake. Great food & Great Service. Wonderful atmosphere.

omg this place was amazing. Just what a burger and fries should freakin taste like. finding out that the fries were fried in 100% beef tallow makes all the difference! I'm so sad that this Victorville location is like the only one I know of. it will now be a permanent stop going to or from Vegas for my bf and I. those shoe string fries I can not get out of my head lol
Love this place. Ate at one of these quite often in Texas. My favorite is the Frisco melt. Sourdough with two smashed patties and cheese and Frisco sauce. Get it with extra Frisco sauce to dip in and the fries. The fries are good. They use beef tallow. They are a thin fry. If you have a choice, get the Frisco burger here and get the waffle fries next door at Chick-fil-A. They also serve chili spaghetti. This is actually really good. Give it a try. Of course, the shakes here are top-notch.
DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE YOU WONT REGRET IT Omg !!!! This place blows every other burger spot out of the park !! They make FRESH smash burger style burgers. This is my 3rd consecutive time coming here. They have happy hour specials so food gets discounted. Man the quality and food is so fresh and delicious this is literally our new go to spot especially with them having happy hour discounts hell ya !!! Come check them out and keep them in business
Employees were very friendly and quickly took our order. Our drinks were at the table just as soon as we sat down, and our food was delivered shortly after. The food was amazing and was hot and fresh. The dining room, as well as the restrooms, were very clean and spotless. Plenty of seating and plenty of parking.

A highlight of our trips to and from Las Vegas is always the stop at the Victorville location. It's become a cherished ritual for us. On my recent visit, I decided to switch things up and swapped the usual fries for a cup of their chili. It was a delightful surprise – rich in flavor and perfectly seasoned. It's these small yet significant experiences, combined with the nostalgic atmosphere, that keep me coming back for more
My husband and I went for the first time and i am not a burger person but saw a picture and thought it looks good so wanted to try I am glad I did I got the garlic burger and omg so good. The lettuce was fresh and the pickles were great. Price was good for a combo. We will be coming back soon. Customer service was great and liked the 50 diner vibes.
The burgers here are delicious. My friend told me this is the real-deal burger place just like the first one that opened in Burlington, Illinois. I ordered the first combo meal with the double burger and it really is a perfect burger for the drive. Juicy, flavorful, and memorable. Yum!
THE ONLY REAL STEAK N SHAKE OUTSIDE OF THE MIDWEST!!! I'm from chicago and grew up with occasional meals at steak n shake. I live in LA now and was always disappointed with the steak n shakes they opened over here. The food tasted different and the menu was sooo limited (no Frisco melt?? No chili Mac???) It wasn't until I stopped here on my way to Vegas that I found one that feels like it was literally teleported here from Illinois. Full menu, the shakes taste just as excellent as I remember, and the burgers are delicious flavor bombs like they should be. Talked with the manager a bit about how they have fought to keep this place as close to the real deal as possible. They even pay out of pocket to keep some items on the menu that corporate has removed from the menus of other locations!! If you're a fast food lover do yourself a favor and stop by, it's definitely worth it.

Stopped by here on a roadtrip and it was BEST steak N' Shake I have ever been to. The burger was cooked perfectly. Was given the wrong milkshake.... but the awesome burger made up for it.

50's dinner style burger spot. This is a maturing location that I finally stopped at after years of driving by on my way to Vegas. They have specialty burgers and shakes. I LOVE steak and Shake. Anytime we get through here we stop in. Was traveling with hubby, my brother and sis so always fun. The service was great and friendly and the restaurant was clean.

Slowest "fast food" EVER. When speaking at the speaker to the employee she seemed put out. At the window it wasn't any better. She said my food would be right out, it wasn't. The burgers were okay, the fries weren't fresh.
This place was not special or good; the burgers were not great or even that good and some of us had lettuce that was wilted and slimy. Go elsewhere for better quality burger and fries. No one in our group was happy with our order. Going somewhere else is recommended, because better isn’t hard to find.
At approximately 10:10am on 11/16/2024, I ordered a single steakburger with cheese combo and a cup of chili. The restaurant worker delivered takeout order and informed me to use caution with the hot chili. I left the restaurant without checking the contents of my bag. I ate my fries. Soon thereafter, I proceeded to eat my chili and noticed a melted plastic lid. I request a refund. I was unable to eat my chili because of the use of non-microwave safe plastics in the preparation of my chili. Further, those types of plastics are not designed for heating any food especially acidic and fatty foods. I take my health very seriously and would never consent to eating food heated in Styrofoam.
