I had their pork ribs in red sauce (Friday special) served with freshly made fried rice and fried beans. The food tasted like a homemade meal. I now have a go-to place whenever I'm in town. Food was 5 stars, the service was cordial, quick, and the atmosphere was calm and organized despite the busy flow.

I was looking for homemade Mexican. I found it. Homemade Tortillas(more than 5 for sure), Rice 🍚 on spot, Beans on spot. 🥩 cooked right. Horchata, was good too sweet for my liking. Sitting is limited, Lots of in and out traffic, and Extremely busy behind the register. Restroom was lacking cleaning(locked to ensure customer use only). Friendly Employees. There was a lot going on, so I was in and out in 30 minutes(including the wait for the meal as well as eating it). Will definitely go back! Try something different.

Really good food for the price always packed Customer service is OK family owned Food is ready in about 10 to 12 minutes. Equalities really good especially the California burrito and the super burrito every day has a special entrée.

I had take out dinner twice and also ordered the california burrito for lunch the next day ( visiting the National Parks) . The food was consistently flavorful and fresh. I made it around 8:30ish each night and had quick and friendly service.

Great home made Mexican food. Tortillas are made by hand right in front of you. Great prices as well. Daily specials are available. Sundays are usually busy but worth the wait. Make sure to try the avocado salsa at the salsa bar.

They ran out of Menudo, so I got a Barbacoba plate, and I was great. Will definitely order it again. The homemade corn tortillas are the best in town.

I 💯 absolutely love Tacos Melaque! I would drive 3-4 times a week to eat here. The chille rellenos here on Thursday are so good 🤤 but u gotta get them before 3pm cause they sellout fast. The fajitas and tacos are on point for sure. My goto 👏 every 👏 single 👏 time is chorizo breakfast burrito 🌯 with sides of guac. The hand made tortillas are the best I’ve ever had also like you’re in Mexico 🇲🇽 it’s hard to find a business where the staff is committed to customer satisfaction and the kitchen is a well oiled assembly line. Everything good to excellent at this authentic Tacqueria, the Torta Milanesa excellent, the Barbacoa tacos incredible, burrito carne asada with special sauce very very good. Only the pollo and carnitas were quite good not great, but if you stick with beef it is among the best I’ve ever had and the freshly made on-site tortillas on the tacos are super delicious.

Best random find, driving north. It's a no frills, family run, (seems like a) family run/hole in the wall place. Def a hidden gem we found passing the city.

I ordered the chili relleno plate. They have a limited supply of chili rellenos so you have to call ahead to make sure you can order them. They are fresh and stuffed with fresh quest fresco cheese. Cooked in a flavorful red sauce. The rice and beans are probably some of the best iv had at any mexican food restaurant. Iv only ate here one time but I think that is going to change. I will for sure order the chili rellenos again. I forgotnto mention they make fresh homemade corn torillas too. Also sorry the pic i am adding is a pic after I took a few bites lol.

Went here on a Tuesday evening. Wasn't busy when I got there, but got busier when we left. Parking might be hard to find depending on foot traffic. I ordered 5 tacos of cabeza, lengua, tripa, barbacoa and adobada along with a torta de milanesa and a kid's quesadilla. The tortillas were handmade, which was a plus. However, the downside was it crumbled on the barbacoa and lengua taco, so you couldn't fully experience the taste. All the meats were solid, except for the adobada. It had a cardboard flavor to it that was pretty off-putting. I tried a little bit of the torta de milanesa and that was really good. Horchata I purchased was typical of restaurant Horchata. Overall, a very solid place. Some people tend to compare this place with Tacos El Rojo. Personally, they're different styles, but in terms of the marinade and texture of meat I'll take Tacos El Rojo. However, Melaque is solid and I'd definitely come back to try their breakfast and daily specials.
