Wings, pizza and mozzarella sticks were great. The crust was thin and actually had really good flavor. Got the marine park pizza and it was delicious- you could actually differentiate the taste of the meat toppings. I have to say Vista and surrounding area is pretty disappointing regarding decent pizza but this place has by far been my favorite to have tried so far. Would def recommend and will order here again.
Awesome pie, meatballs, wings, and garlic knots. I have been coming here for years, and I really respect that the new ownership keeps the great taste and service going! The best, before, and now! Thank you.
wonderful taste in the air, wonderful smell, wonderful food. ate it up with my mother. which them more success as they grow. haven’t had pizza that good in a long time.
The absolute best pizza you could ever have! With the greatest people I’ve ever met. Ask for Jesse because he is the absolute nicest human being ever. I miss being able to go here everyday seeing everyone. Hope to see you all again soon
Wow! Can't say enough about this place. Just discovered it and their pizza is at least top 3 all-time. Great selection of pizza by the slice. Served hot by friendly, professional staff. Price is just right. The Lasagna Pizza is insanely delicious. They do not skimp on topping quality nor amount. You have to try this place. Would have a photo for you but we ate it too fast!
Ordered three pizzas for pickup and loved them all! We had family in town and Brooklyn boyz was right at the end of the street from where they were staying. We ordered a pepperoni, a combo and the spinach ricotta which was definitely a favorite! We loved the thin chewy crust!! Great pizza!!
Authentic New York pizza! Service was friendly. the garlic knots were fantastic. Will be back 🙏
Everyone there was super nice but not fake nice..REAL kind of nice. Not from new york nor have I been there but pizza was like a flat base with a semi hard buttery crust. It was so good! Folded up my pizza and ate the slices. Ingredients and the sauce tasted amazing. Hadeach slice had amazing distinct flavor...Great recipes...place is small shapped like a Rectangle so if you have a big party you might not fit.
Delicious, authentic New York Pizza. They use great ingredients in their dough and the cheese is to die for. The owner is very friendly and will talk sports all day with you if you let him. Highly recommend this great pizza. Prices are more than fair.
The Sicilian pizza slices are perfect! Crisp crunch perfect texture! We’ll be back for sure!!!
Best Sicilian pizza I've had. The crust is crunchy the dough is soft the marinara sauce is absolutely amazing! I always come for the salad pizza slice and a slice of the Sicilian period my son always gets a slice of pepperoni and a slice of sausage pepperoni. Absolutely love love love love love love love love love love love their pizza, the friendliness, the laughter, the atmosphere and so much more!
My daughter specifically asked if we could give this place 5 starts and as 12 year olds go, she’s pretty hard to impress. Everyone was friendly. Food came out quickly and was good. We had a pizza, wings, mozzarella sticks and garlic knots. This isn’t the place to get fresh, home made food and the look of the restaurant might make you a little nervous. BUT…don’t judge a book by its cover. It has great service and delicious food!
The pizza is amazing. The atmosphere reminds me of the pizza places back East where I'm from. The crust was nice and crispy, and the cheese was excellent quality. The sauce was exceptional, and that's coming from someone who usually drowns their pizza in sauce.
Brooklyn Boyz Pizza serves fantastic pizza! The crust is just right, the toppings are fresh, and the flavors come together perfectly. The service is friendly, and it's a great place for a delicious meal. I highly recommend it!
This is the bomb for pizza. I love their thin crust style and the craftsmanship they put into making their pizza’s. Go in and watch. It ain’t no fast food chain. The Pizza. I ordered the “marine park” was fabulous. The owner JOSEPH Is very approachable and their pizza guy Jesse is fabulous. I cant afford every week but at least 1 x 6 weeks. I have a budget and i wont spend it at Mc D’s as it’s just junk. Try this place; it’s Great !!~ SUPPORT your local business . Also Wings are great as well. Good Job guys (052424) !!!
I am a native Brooklynite of 50 years! I grew up on pizza ! I Moved to San Diego 7 years ago. I can say without a doubt that Brooklyn Boys Pizza is an exact match to Brooklyn Pizza especially their Sicilian squares! My favorite ones are the corner squares! You must try the pizza there ! You will keep coming back for MORE!!!!
Best pizza in Oceanside. Although it was good before the ownership change, the new owner have kept true to the menu and quality of their pizza. They even put on the Padres game for me. Great service and food.
REVIEW UPDATE (September 11, 2023) I just received word from friends of the owners that this establishment will REOPEN SOON AFTER the new renovations are completed! The sign on the door confirms as it reads : “Closed for Renovations” And this is fantastic news for lovers of traditional NY Style Pizza!! Stay Tuned for More News! •••• As of today, Brooklyn Boyz Pizza has been closed down. It’s a shame that another small business has been forced to shutdown in Oceanside, especially one that has been serving the community such delicious pizza. At least the causes were “natural” and it due to the owners death and nobody being able to take-over the business. It breaks my heart that I’ve only been here a handful of times. But I truly loved my experiences and their New York Style Pizza was Phenomenal! From the crust, to the sauce and the toppings, it was all terrific. A big favorite was the baked ziti pizza and I loved their Sicilian slices as well. The interior was so appropriately decorated with a lot of New York / Brooklyn paraphernalia & posters. Brooklyn Boyz Pizza was a business at the heart of Oceanside standards and it will be missed… I hope it isn’t replaced with some chain or franchise. Farewell to delicious Authentic NY Pizza 😔
Hey, if you enjoyed my review or found it interesting please hit the like button and consider following me, I try to keep it interesting. Mt buddy and I sell steak, seafood and chicken in Southern California, Nevada and Arizona. Along the way we hit every dive bar, greasy spoon and off the wall habadashery we can find. I enjoy sharing them with you. Meatball sub challenge, off the top of your head can you name a spot that features a real deal meatball sub. Homemade meatballs, zangy marinara, gooey provolone and a French roll toasted so it crunches when you plunge your teeth into it; the tangy marinara hits the taste buds first then the aromatic spices flood the senses till your eyes roll back in your head. The first few bites are tentative because the molten cheese is nearly burning your mouth but you can,t stop. You ate in heaven. I know such a place, Brooklyn Boys Pizza. If I recall properly the subs weren't cheap, like eight bucks each but they are easily two meals. There is plenty of safe well lit parking and the mood is chill, next time I will eat there at the beer bar so I can try their pizza and wash it down with a chilled mug of cold barley soup (AKA beer). The store was well lit, clean and the staff was friendly and informative. I really enjoyed this.
I'm from Queens (these guys would probably laugh at me but who cares) and this is the best pizza I've had on the west coast. Lamonica's in west Los Angeles used to have this spot. My favorite (can you guess), is the Queens. The white pizza with ricotta, spinach, garlic is AMAZING. Everywhere I've been to on the west coast looks at me like I got 5 heads when I ask them to make this. Brooklyn Boyz nailed it. I told the guy at the counter of a pie I used to eat in Queens that was similar to the stuffed meat, but it was stuffed with chicken parmigiana. That would've been amazing if this place had it, but oh well. Another item they had that I haven't seen since New York, is the chicken roll. Freaking great! The cheese pie was delicious. I could tell after the first bite as the grease comes right through with the sauce. Unfortunately, I am just visiting (I now live on the central coast) but would DEFINITELY come back if I'm ever in town.(disclaimer: the pictures submitted were after the carnage of getting 5 pies and two chicken rolls 😁)
First and foremost when walking in you get that N.Y vibe! Ordering was a breeze and the specials they have are wonderful. Slices came out in a timely manner and the consistency of the flavor in every bite was wondering! The staff was very pleasant to interact with and hearing that Brooklyn accent in the background while eating made me feel like I was in Brooklyn! Highly recommend bringing the family or friends for some pizza here!
Great authentic New York Brooklyn style pizza! They have creative delicious pie and the price isn't bad. Friendly staff and great location make this an easy choice for good food in oceanside! I'll take pictures next time I'm here. Thanks for a great lunch guys! Edit: came back and was blown away! Buffalo chicken pizza took me to another dimension! Garlic knots will never be the same anywhere else! Love this place!
This is my ultimate favorite Pizza locally. They serve my favorite Pizza as well, baked zitti. The owner and the other associates here are very friendly and very very helpful. One time they forgot to include the garlic bread I paid for so when I visited the next time, they gave me a replacement but more. Really kind people and best Pizza to me.
My first time visiting. The gentleman was very nice. I had been hit with the smell of what took me back to when i lived in New York.. awww. That lovely 🗽 pizza smell. All of these Karens giving 1 and 2 stars shame on you.... too bad they cant be deleted. I ordered a cheese slice to eat here and a whole pie to take home. My go to place for pizza. 🍕

My family and I had the most wonderful experience here. Delicious! Popped in the oven as soon as we ordered, made with fresh ingredients. The owner was so friendly, You get treated like family.
Chicken parm was amazing. The young woman behind the counter was running the entire place by herself. Hopefully they can get her some help.
I can’t say enough good things about this place! If you’re looking for authentic Brooklyn-style New York pizza, this small business is the real deal. The crust is thin, crisp, and perfectly foldable just like it should be and the sauce-to-cheese ratio is chef’s kiss. Every slice tastes like it came straight out of Brooklyn. But what really sets this place apart is the customer service. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell they care about their customers and their craft. Whether it’s your first time in or you’re a regular, they treat you like family. If you’re craving a classic New York slice and want to support a hardworking small business, this pizza shop should be your go-to.
Super delicious brooklyn style pizza. Absolutely delicious, but it wasn't just the good pizza that made me feel the need to leave a review. It was the people. The lady and man working (im assuming owners) were Absolutely beyond exceptional. Thank you. On behave of some hungry Marines. We will be back
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 Hands down the best pizza in Oceanside! Brooklyn Boys Pizza delivers authentic New York–style slices that never disappoint. The crust, the sauce, the cheese—everything is on point. Owner Dan is amazing and makes the experience even better. If you’re craving real New York–style pizza, this is the place. Highly recommend!
New Yorker here to tell you this is real New York pizza. You can tell the real ones because they use ingredients from the distributor called Roma. This is the NY Pizza secret. We had a couple of slices and a meatball hero. They were delicious and just like back home. Really nice people too. check them out.
We had the lasagna pizza and it was amazing! I never thought to make a lasagna pizza before, but so this was a first. My boyfriend said that this topped every pizza place he has tried out here. Will definitely be coming back and trying more!

I came to try the pizza because I’m Brooklyn for life. The name said Brooklyn so I had to come try it. The pizza is really good. I gave it a 4 because it’s not as good as a Brooklyn pizza but came close. I think it’s just missing a little bit more flavor. There’s a flavor you get from NY pizza that you get even after eating the pizza. This is much better than a lot of places in California selling NY pizza. I would definitely come back.

Eggplant parm hero was good, but the pizza felt like something was missing. Aside from the decor, not much that's reminiscent of a solid NY pizza spot
We had our pizza delivered. The box said hot and fresh pizza, but the bottom of the box wasn't even warm. However, once this pizza is warmed up, it sings! Delicious sauce and very tasty chew on the crust. Very satisfying, but next time will go in person to try it at the restaurant. Definitely worth a second try.
The pizza was ok. We got pepperoni and black olive. It was served quickly. Got the garlic knots and they were not very garlicky but very soft. The table wasn't clean. I wiped it down and there was a lot of dust on my napkin. Seating was small, barely enough room for the 5 of us even though there were 3 tables. There isn't enough room to seat people at all of the chairs. You would run into people. The server never came to see if we needed anything else. Maybe I was mistaken about the type of restaurant it was so having her come back might not have been expected.
The pizza was good. I had a slice of the chef's special - pepperoni, spinach, mushrooms, and ricotta cheese. I would have it again, BUT the place was DIRTY AND MESSY... AND I was waiting to pick-up a Doordash order that hadn't even been started until I got there, which I waited an additional 15 minutes for... While I was waiting and enjoying my slice, I witnessed social conversations between the order-taker and the pizza-maker (a perfect time to clean up the place), and another employee put a to-go item in the oven to keep it warm, and the plastic top melted. Thoughtless... It was a slow evening, I could see there were only 2 working orders and a table of 3 who were already eating. Is this a franchise? They need to improve their standards of operation. See my pictures of their front end... disgusting.

Pizza was just ok, but this place is so dirty. The owner takes no pride in his business. The floors I doubt have ever been cleaned. The place is literally falling apart. A little time and elbow grease and this place might pass an inspection. Do better!
Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of this pizza. I was looking forward to trying and wanted to give them a shot as a new business in Oceanside. I think one issue might be their pizza sauce is too heavy making it floppy, and the bland crust that I didn’t want to eat. I would not call this NY style pizza, just because they’re big slices? Also the garlic knots were super greasy and not appetizing. I only ate one. For $30, I don’t think that it was not worth it. Sorry Boyz.

Do not recommend. Although the workers were friendly and generous the food was not good. The cheese separates, no cheese pull. Garlic knots weren't even served to us warm they were room temp. They didn't have any salt and the red sauce was served cold with the room temp knots. The pizza sauce and cheese was all mushed together. If I closed my eyes the pizza had okay flavor at best but I will absolutely not be spending money there ever again.
East coaster turned west coaster here. This used to be the best pizza I could find in San Diego and one of the few with great Sicilian slices. They closed for renovations for a while recently, and I’ve gone back twice since it reopened - and it definitely tastes like new ownership. So disappointed!
$37 wasted it has been taken over by somebody else. I’m sorry they have pushed this shrinkflation too far.sausage so thin half the amount of a normal pizza and then have the gull charge you $9 dollars for extra mushrooms. By the way, the sauce was nonexistent, they Painted it with a lightly dipped paintbrush. What can I say they will not have my business any longer stick to You know, People can tell the difference between good quality ingredients and cheap , bad quality ingredients. This was as bad as buying a frozen pizza store. Never again.! Wok away from this place
New Yorker here, and I have got to say, a couple of years ago this was the best spot in town. Made me think of home, pizza was the closest thing to NYC that you could get. Since they closed and reopened. It is the absolute worst food imaginable. Pizza took an hour to be made with it being empty in there, staff was fine. The pizza was disgusting, zero flavor and wayyyy too thin, it was disintegrating in my hands. Either improve it don’t use the label “New York Pizza” because it most definitely is not
