Jims Vista Lounge

Typical dive-bar. Not in a bad way. Dark for the daytime drinkers. Music and pooltables and karaoke for the nighttime folks. Decent selection. GREAT specials- be sure the read the bathroom walls! Edit: After Jims Lounge's response to my review, I am more than happy to up the stars. Their reasons are not only accurate (and RAD), but I'm a pile for having known and forgotten them. The safe ride home loves provided are bar none.

This place was nothing short of amazing. Heidi was a true “Welcome Committee”. Common folk, great place to drink a beer! Come on with it!

Jim's Lounge: A True Vista Dive Bar with Great Vibes (and Pool!) If you're looking for a no-frills, genuine dive bar experience in Vista, look no further than Jim's Lounge. I came here with a couple of friends recently to unwind and just hang out, and it definitely hit the spot. Even though I don't drink (I stuck to soda water with lime), the bartender, Desirae, made me feel like a regular from the moment I walked in. Her friendliness was top-notch, and it really added to the welcoming atmosphere. One of the highlights of Jim's for me was the fact that they have a few bar-sized pool tables. It's getting harder and harder to find bars with pool these days, and I definitely miss the era of pool halls on every corner. Jim's provides that classic bar pool experience, which was exactly what I was looking for. I spent a good few hours there enjoying some games with my friends. For music, Jim's has a jukebox with a modern twist – they have an app you can use to pay for and play songs that are available in its library. It's a convenient way to pick the soundtrack for the bar. Now, no dive bar story is complete without a little bit of unexpected drama. There was a brief squabble during the night involving another patron. However, from what Desirae mentioned, this isn't a common occurrence. It seemed like this particular individual was looking for trouble and unfortunately found it with someone else at the bar. Thankfully, the situation was handled quickly, the person left without further incident, and no police or ambulances were needed. While these things can happen in any bar setting, it didn't detract too much from the overall experience. I'm not 100% sure if Jim's Lounge is cash-only, so it might be worth having some cash on hand just in case. Despite not being a drinker, Jim's Lounge offered exactly what I was after: a laid-back atmosphere, friendly service from Desirae, the opportunity to play some pool, and a jukebox with a paid app system. It's a solid dive bar with a welcoming vibe, and I'll definitely be heading back there again for some more games.

Divey yet not. Go to see what i mean. From breakfast shots to stout. Its gonna be there. I tested them 1 time for an old fashion. NOT BAD !

The place has very little food for sale, if any. The service, people that work there, atmosphere is best and I have fun every time I go there. Everybody, including the customers are some of the friendliest people around town.

Honestly there is nothing 5star about this place but I gave it a 5 star rating because I love this place. It’s greater than the sum of its parts cause yeah it’s a little divey but that’s why you come here. Lots of regulars that are nice to newbies also

I have a blast everytime I go there its a classic neighborhood dive bar, they have 3 nice pool tables, darts, and pinball. seems like most of the bartenders are really cool and they open at 6:00 a.m. which is always nice on the weekends when you need some of that hair of the dog that bit you !!

Best dive bar in Vista always a good time lots of fun it's my go-to bar for a cocktail. Good prices on drinks, pool is only 50 Cent per game. All ages are welcome. Kelly and g e n e do a great job they always have. So come in and join the fun JV l, Jim's Vista Lounge. Papa bear said it

Seems like a mello spot that has a great drink selection and prices to match! Came in on a Monday to watch the pool tournament and the crowd was extremely chill too. Most def seems like a return visit is due soon!

The reason you got a food review is cause Google made me do a food review. Which is why I rated it three stars. I know it's a dive bar and you guys do a good job of it. And the Service was on point and fast. Maybe cause I'm not a local I was just on my defense. The inside looked cool.

Nothing fancy it does have three pool tables, definitely a hole in the wall. The bartender was super sweet and nice and a drinks were good as well. Nothing too bad or too good so that's why three stars

The bar tender is nice, but my last 2 experiences there, the people were sort of racist. If you have a darker colored skin you're going to stand out. It's not a diverse place. It's pretty much a old school country bar.

It’s the best bar in vista. Good drinks, great service, and friendly people. The foods only on Sundays but it’s free and delicious. With 3 pool tables, there’s always a game to be played. It’s my favorite place.

I took my date here and Jim the owner was bringing up political matters to be micro aggressive towards me. I did not understand why as a business owner he would be so unprofessional. Especially when I come in minding my business, playing pool with my date. Why be a hater to a group of people bringing you business? Makes no sense.
