Went to dinner and our server was hands down the best server we have ever had. He was so attentive to every detail without having to be asked. He had knowledge about the items on the menu and recommendations were on point. Shout out to PHARANG. I think the manager said its was maybe your 2nd week and you did an amazing job. I travel the country doing dinner presentations for a living, and often feal with very lackluster service. Exact opposite from these guys, absolutely amazing service. Zoe especially was just amazing and made everything go super smooth. Would give her 10 stars if I could. Thanks again guys!

This was my husband’s and I first time at this steak house. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!!! Our server Hunter made our experience wonderful! He was very attentive, always checked on us, and brought out our items at a nice pace to enjoy each of our food items. He was kind the entire time and patient, I really appreciate him and he is a wonderful worker! The food was hot and delicious. The flavor of the steak was immaculate 🤩 We’re coining back of that steak soon! Thank you all for the wonderful food , service, and experience! The deliciousness of our meal was only surpassed by the attentiveness and care of the service. We had a family dinner with a large party and all enjoyed their meal and the server was patient and professional in the manner with which he served us. Our drinks were kept full, special orders were accommodated, and the service was well timed.

The Saltgrass in Waco is an amazing place with a great atmosphere!! I've been coming here for years and it's always a great time - especially at the bar with your bartenders Daniel, Kaitlyn, Starla, Chase, Megan and Chris. 🍻 Their Happy Hour is from 3 til 7 with half priced appetizers and specialty drinks!!! Except, for some reason, the Bourbon Bacon - and yes, it's as fab as it sounds!! How can you beat that? I recommend the Texas Tea or the Grand Sangria. See ya here!

Went here on a Saturday afternoon and I had an absolutely fantastic time! This was a hidden gem in Waco that I never knew existed! The atmosphere is perfectly done, the staff were very nice and helpful, the food was all delicious and mouth watering, and the drinks were top knotch. This was one of the best experiences eating out I've had in a long time! There were so many little details that made the experience great, like the shots being in frozen glasses, the drinks being layers great and being strong enough to feel it but not tasting too strong. All the food came out fast and tasted exactly how I was wanting it to be! It's not too expensive either for what you're getting. I bought two cocktails, two shots, an appetizer, two entries, AND dessert, and the bill was $117. Highly recommend! I'll be heading back!

Here’s the good and bad. The service was very good. The atmosphere was very good. The appetizers were very good. The salad was very good. My baked potato was a bit old and beginning to firm up…not fluffy and not very hot. I usually get a ribeye but decided to get a 16 oz T-Bone instead. It. Was. Terrible. No sear, rubbery, and fatty. First time in forever that I didn’t either finish my steak or take the leftovers home. Don’t know if I’ll ever go back.

This pwrtains to the Waco Tx location. I wish I could give a 5 out of 5 rating. The only negative was the excessive salt used on the steak and veggies. Let the food do the talking. Other than that the ribeye was cooked to perfection, as were the green beans. The fried mushrooms appetizer was the best I've had in the last 10 years. The service was top notch. I will eat there again.

First time trying out this location. The Bear at the entrance was good touch and I am sure is popular with the Baylor community! Charles did a great job with service and was very attentive throughout. The bread was nice, warm and heavenly as usual. We ordered the ribeye and the blackened fish with salad. Salad was average. The steaks actually tasted pretty good by a mid-tier steak place standard. The fish was good. Really liked the shrimp on it. The broccoli could have been steamed a tad bit longer. Fries were really good and evenly seasoned.

We had double pork chop, top sirloin and wedge salad. The wedge salad was delicious large enough to share, the sirloin was small,well cooked and flavorful. Pork chop was large enough to share. We had baked potatoes. Ask for extra cheese and butter as the toppings are sparse. Good service. The tables are a little too close, making it noisy and difficult to have a conversation. Good old fashion with large ice cube.

My wife an I all ways make reservations for Christmas, my steak was not the best nor the worst by no means. My wife likes the filet, she likes her steak well done, so she gets the filet in a butterfly cut so she can have a good tinder cut of steak and not have to burn it. They bring it out medium, had to send it back, not butterflyed the next steak was not worth eating, what a huge disappointment. The waiter has her meal comp, really two meals at $34 plus taxs, one ice tea, one mushrooms and onions on the side. Comp one meal, $82 and her meal gets feed to the hogs. Merry Christmas.

Let's talk about Salty Grass, I visited it because some friends invited me. When I arrived, I realized that logically, I was in a steak house. My friends had already ordered, and so I sat down and ordered my appetizer, some fried mushrooms. My friends ordered Chip and Cheese with Brisket and an order of fried onion. But I'll talk about that later. I also ordered an order of Ribs with Chicken and mashed potatoes as a side. And my friends ordered 2 T-Bone steaks. After several minutes, the dishes arrived. The nachos with cheese looked good, although I didn't try them. The Onion looked soft, but I didn't try them either. The mushrooms, on the other hand, were not crispy, something that was strange to me since they claimed to be fried. Had no crispness anywhere. When I went to try the ribs, they had a strong grilled flavor. That flavor when the grill is too hot and you just burn the meet, yes, that flavor. Although the ribs were soft and came off the bone on their own. And the barbecue sauce was little to non excited. The predominant flavor was the taste of the hot grill and burnt meat. The chicken had a sauce that I personally didn't like. But the worst was the mashed potato, a sandy mashed potato, which you could tell they had mixed mashed potato from a box, with a little real potato to give it the appearance of a real potato. That was really disappointing. They didn't even take the time to do it right. One of the steaks came out well, medium well as expected. But another of the steaks was completely raw when asked for Medium rare. I know what a piece of meat is supposed to look like when you order it that way, and apparently, they didn't know how to cook it medium rare... Overall, I give them 3⭐️ Although the customer service as impeccable, and the waitress really did a great job. Do I go back? I don't think it is worth. If you really want a great SaltGrass Steak, take it to go and re-cook it at home. I did and came out way better.

Not my favorite place to go to get steak, but they have a fantastic wedge salad! The service hasn't been bad when I've gone and it's fairly clean and the ambience is nice.

We were visiting from Georgia. We had planned on going somewhere else to eat, but this place came highly recommended. Im sad to say I was VERY disappointed. Our server didn't seem to know much (which he could have been new), but my husband got a 6oz filet med rare and it was horrible. He works in meat and seafood and it was an absolute terrible end cut. Half was way overcooked and the other was decent at best. Asked if they had steak fries and was told yes, they were regular and overcooked as well. Me and my mom got the country fried steak. My mom's looked and tasted burnt and my mashed potatoes were cold. I asked the server for different ones and he brought them out but they were steaming so much, im sure they just tossed some in the microwave. Overall just disappointed on every level. We don't mind spending good money for a nice meal, but id like it to at least taste good for what we spent

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Reservations at 715 took over a hour to get the soups and salads . The chicken tortilla soup tasted like sink water and looked like diarrhea. The appetizers looked like they sat in the pass for about 30min before they served it to us and tasted old .The garlic parm fries were super salty . The steak had absolutely no seasoning other than the taste of the grill . The macaroni was soggy .

Sad way to treat people. A coworker and I just walked out of here without anyone even batting an eye. We sat at our booth for about 20 minutes without any acknowledgment from wait staff, or a floor manager. There was no issues with any of the tables around us as they seemed to be receiving attentive service. Do not recommend coming here.
