Let me 😱 scream this from roof tops, this place is 🔥! If you have never had CALIFORNIA style mexican food then this is the place you want to be its 100xs better then tex mex and it's the best westcoast style mexican I've had out here in Texas. You will NOT be disappointed they serve breakfast all day and that's huge to me,everyone ends breakfast early and im a late eater so this is awesome. Also they have great prices and HUGE portions and not skimpy on any of the ingredients. We tried our first time here the watauga burrito, the Deluxe breakfast burrito, the 377 burrito a Quesabirria and a side of fries and complimentary chips and salsa. They also have a bad ass salsa bar with tons of sauces,and pickled items. 👌 we drove 45 mins to get here from our house and will definitely be coming back asap. Im kind of glad we dont live closer cause I'd be waaaaay more fat then I am now haha cause I'd eat it multiple times a week 😅

Just what we wanted this morning. I ordered the beef fajita plate and dang it was a lot of food and good! My son ordered 1 enchilada and tostada plate. He raved about how hot the salsa was - and he loves spicy food.

Almost everything about my visit to Vaqueros was five star, even though I didn't really care for the particular burrito option that I ordered. I went in craving a typical breakfast burrito (eggs, potatoes, and some selection of meat), but ended up going with the machaca out of curiosity. The flavor was good and it was fresh tasting and filling-a little too filling. This burrito is 95% meat, maybe 3% onions and peppers, and the rest is cheese. The tortilla is nicely toasted and fresh tasting as well. I would call this a 'manly meal'. For me it was just too much meat. The service was great and the ingredients were fresh, so I will definitely consider going back for either a typical breakfast burrito or one of the other dishes. The agua fresca melon drink was okay. I'm pretty sure it's not fresh made from melon, but instead made from a concentrate mix, which is okay. Overall I had a good experience here and would recommend it to others looking for freshly made Mexican food, prepared quickly, by friendly people. I ate about half of my burrito, which was enough to fill me up for a day of dog walking. I also ordered a side of refried beans. They were quite bland. That's the only reason why I did not get five stars for the food.

We found this place on Fb Fort worth foodies group. The food was yummy and you get a lot of food. The only thing we feel that could be different is that you get bottle soda, so if you run out of soda, you have to buy more. There are not any refills, and with the spicey salsas, I need a looooot to drink. 🤣

Roasted beef Enchiladas 3.3/5 good flavor rice and beans were a nice compliment. Beef Street taco's 3.2/5 the green sauce brought the flavor out. Definitely recommend the beef Enchiladas, maybe next time I'll a different meat on the street taco's. Will definitely eat there again, so I recommend trying them at least once.

Visited this new restaurant for dinner. We got two #5’s which was a cheese enchilada, crispy beef taco with rice and beans. My daughter got the California burrito. They served salsa and chips with the meal. We enjoyed the food pretty well. The beef taco had shredded beef instead of ground but I’m thinking one could request either. I enjoyed it. The food was fresh. The restaurant was clean. It had a simple front of house. You buy at the counter, they have a selection of bottled drinks and they bring the food to your table. There is a small salsa/sauce bar with some other items like pickled onions. You bus your own table. Our only negative was the while the salsa was fresh and tasty it had a flavor in it that we couldn’t place and it was a bit spicy. I admit though, I was picking up the salsa cup and eating it, so I think I was being kind of picky. They serve breakfast items and they are on my way to work. Looking forward to trying them out next week.

Ordered delivery from here today. I was told it was California style food so I ordered the California style burrito and menudo. Food was ok, nothing to call home (California) about. Flavors were very basic and for those of you that might be wondering, the carne asada is made on a stove pan with seasoning and not your traditional “carne asada” that is grilled on charcoal or wood like in California or Texas. Being a chef from California, the food from California does not compare in flavor to the food in Texas. Especially when it comes to real Carne asada, Texas is the best. Overall will give it another shot and try something different next time. On a more positive note, portions were massive!

Noooo i really wanted to like this place based on the reviews but the shredded beef burrito i got was nothing but horrible. My major issue was the food, it was loaded with beef filling but was dripping and running liquid like a river. I do not like soggy food. Then the taste, not tasty at all. I tried to force my self to not waste but i just couldn't do it. So, maybe it is what i ordered today but i will not recommend the beef burrito to my enemy. The resturant was clean and calm, cashier was respectful and nice. No problems with service. I'm not sure if i will go back, it was a bit off my way and this experience left me still very hungry. I hope other items on the menu are way better than this.

Super sad to make this review because I always recommend this place when people ask about tacos which theirs are delicious. I however wanted nachos today and I could not believe they actually served me this, didn’t even bother eating it. 2 stars because the tacos are good but I will not be back.

***They use nacho cheese 🤦‍♀️on top of cheese enchiladas and make u pay for extra chips. My family of 4 came in and after 2 SMALL bowls they made us pay $6 for plate of chips. We ended up paying $59 for 3 plates, 4 drinks and “extra” chips. Even though they have salsa bar accessible. WE WILL NOT COME BACK HERE. Before this, we were never charged such prices

Usually the food is amazing here but today I was served moldy cheese and assured it was normal. This is not normal nor acceptable. She asked if I wanted some different food. I really don't want my food to get spit in so I just left.

First time getting a carryout order from here. I was excited to try this place due to the reviews. I'm so done with spending money on food that goes directly into the garbage. I ordered the chicken chimichanga and there was no chicken, full of refried beans. It was smothered in sauces that just made it a soggy gross mess. The rice was bland and flavorless. My husband got a burrito and he threw his away too, which is very out of character for him, he never throws away food. My daughter ordered the rolled tacos, they were soggy and crunchy like a flauta which is what we were expecting. The lettuce is not fresh, it's a bagged lettuce with a strong preservative smell. The counter service was quick, I didn't wait long to order. The restaurant looked clean, it had a dining room for table service, there is a TV in the dining area. There are 2 refrigerators with a variety of sodas and other drinks, Pepsi and Coke products. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this local restaurant, I will never order from here again.
