After a long day of riding is pouring rain we ended up at the hotel next to Denny's. We decided Dennys was close by, so we decided it was as good of place as any to eat. Well I was overly impressed by our server Robbin, she was prompt, friendly and told us about the Bourbon bacon burger, it was awesome!! I'm glad I don't live closer or I'd be here everyday. Oh and the coffee was hot and better then Tim Hortons.

Our waiter was kind, pleasant, an just so sweet! He kept apologizing for service but its Thanksgiving an we we were just greatful to sit this one out! I wish I had gotten his name. We were seated right next to the check out/ATM window section. Food as always was delish

I like the menu choices, including a senior citizen menu, and the service is always good. It is one place where I don't mind eating alone. My senior citizen discount is honored with a show of my AARP card, and the credit card machine will even figure out the tip, giving several choices from which to choose.

Service was very polite and food was timely. If you want to see into the future or hear colors, order the steak and egg skillet. My tongue has 2nd degree burns but it was so delicious.

Had a way better experience than last time. Our waiter Tommy was awesome. On top of everything. Never went without drinks or needling anything. Wish they would open 24 hours!!

The Philly cheese steak omelet was packed with real steak and a good amount of veggies, hash browns were a bit greasy. The service was great. The ladies bathroom however was so disgusting I felt dirty leaving it. One stall had no paper, one sink was slow draining, no paper towels, trash overflowing, counter was filthy. Manager promised prompt service

So I would like to say big props to the staff that work in the front line and behind the scenes!!! Myself I work in the senior living healthcare field and I know how things with the world have been!! Great Customer Service is very much needed and when you have literally three waitstaff working their tails off and have a “Karen and or a Karl ,” to throw temper tantrums about having to wait to be seated then to have their order taken !!! Our waiter was Thomas and he was working his tail to the bone!!! Much props to him and everyone working there!!! My advice for customers that are impatient, if you are that impatient and can’t wait then you might consider doing door dash and let someone else wait for you !!!

After being denied access to sit in a booth at I-Hop though their were plenty booths available we were told none were available we left there confused & disappointed and went to Dennys. What a much better experience we had at Dennys. We were seated about 10 minutes after arriving there and in a booth as we requested. They were very very busy, line of people waiting and short staffed and also training new help. We were amazing how calm the manager was as he was a multi task chef/host/waiter and manger...what amazing patience he had and cared about the customers satisfaction and safety as we overheard him asking his employees to make to pick stuff up and walk over stuff, we got think about the safty of the customers he stated. And the waitess we had also was super with training the new girl and her friendliness to the customers and patience training the new girl. We were really impressed with the staff at Dennys today and the seating we appreciated and the food was apsolutely delicious...great job chef/manager/multi tasker! It's my husbands birthday today, he turned 75 and I thank you all for making a great birthday memory for him and for us. Thank you for great customer service and a smooth well run ship! Well done.....I-Hop could learn a few things from how this Denny's manager runs a restaurant. Well we are thinking the man was the manger anyway in how he ran the ship and was orderly calm as he also multi task calmly and patiencely. Ten stars for Dennys today in our opinion!

Renovations look nice. Our waiters are always cool. I have a big family and they usually give us our own little area to eat. It's never that packed and the food is good.

Denny's is always amazing. It holds a place in my husband's and my heart because it's where we first went on a date. The service is always great and if you are not quite sure what you want the waitresses and waiters always have personal suggestions for you. Everyone is always smiling and it's a great place to take your family.

The day we went the restaurant was pretty full and the only ones working were the manager and one waitress. When I say the only ones I mean they didn't even have a cook but that didn't stop these two amazing people from providing the best meal and the best service with the biggest smile as well as friendly personalities. And to those who treat hard working workers they way I saw people being rude, just stay home if you can't be kind.

First time there and I thought the food and prices were excellent! She refilled my fiances coffee numerous times while we were eating. You get a huge proportion of food for a good price. The double berry banana pancakes were so good and the customer service was excellent. Will definitely be eating there again.

I was seated within a few short minutes, waitress was kind and attentive. I ordered the chicken biscuit and gravy bowl and it was fantastic. Literally the first thought that popped in my head was "Wow, this is a breakfast fit for a king!" I don't understand all the negative reviews because I had a great experience here. I think there's one too many Karen's that have internet access.

Our server Jessica was amazing. I enjoyed the the fresh hot orange tea. She was kind friendly an most of all very helpful. Her smile was warm an sweet. Such a lovely young lady. The food not only was exceptional but the quality an taste was perfect. It was nice to see the chef come out an to be able to let him know how greatly impressed with his talent we was as well. Our first server Josh was just as impressive. The service we received there tonight was far better then any we had received from most restaurants in past few years. Thank you Denny's. A friend of mine and I visit for brunch monthly, order the same thing every time off the $2, $4, $6, $8, menu which has great options for your buck. Coffee is $2.39 which is ridiculous but you do get re-fills and most of the waitresses are pretty good about refilling before your cup is empty. It is quite busy on Sundays. It's a typical Denny's. The service is great, my only complaint is the smell in the bathroom. The restroom is clean but there is a sewage smell I'm not sure can be fixed, it is downtown in the city. We will continue to casually dine here!

I've been to Denny's more times than I can remember and it's been awhile since the last time. First time I've ever been there with the place empty! Seriously, just the Mrs and I!!! Must say they've come a long way fer shur! Three words, hush puppy pancakes! I'm diabetic but don't care, if those were the end of me, so be it!! Nuff said

The food was very good. I went in around 10 pm on 3rd July. The restaurant is quite well maintained. The service was good albeit a bit slow but maybe because I went the day before 4th July. The food was very good. The portions were generous for the charge.

it was good most of the staff was amazing until the manager came in and began to yell at them in front of the customers. Very unprofessional of him. the rest of the staff was great, friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you to the staff. the staff is the reason why I'm giving 4 stars not the Mgr. the manager didn't even greeted the customers he was yelling at the staff from across the dining room. I mean who does that?

Our visit here started very rocky, we were sat pretty quickly then forgotten. Finally after asking for service the best employee Tommy whom was already clocked out took our drink orders and was amazing. Our waiter finally came over who looked very under the weather apologizing for our wait, which we completely understood. He then took our orders and ended up having to go home to which the amazing Tommy returns sees us still sitting with no food yet and is right on top of everything. His whole energy and great attitude completely turned our experience around and it ended up being an overall great time. We definitely need more people like that gentleman in this world! Because of Tommy we will be returning!

Our hotel was next door so we came two times. First day, no issue quick service and the food was fine. In and out in under 40 mins and the place was very clean. Second day, well. Food was fine, service was friendly if not a bit rushed. I can see they have no one else on. Mind you I don't need to hear office politics from the back room, or ones personal issues. Just my thing I've been in sales for 30 years so I'm particular. I'd still come back. Every time I'm in the states Denny's is a go to

Hostess Marissa started off making our visit bad with her lack of personality, finally brought us to our table after saying she would be right with us and after a while finally brought us to a table, handled our silverware with her bare hands and when we checked out we saw that they offered 15% off our bill if had AARP's which I did but she didn't offer to change our bill. On the other hand our waitress Lexi I believe and food was good

Service was incredibly slow even though it wasn't busy. The food quality was fair; not great but not awful. However, our server was very apologetic and took off a big percentage of our bill without us even complaining. So that saved it from a 1 star review.

The service was great. The poor waitress was working her butt off. She was the only server working at the time. The kitchen sucked. They made the wrong food,cooked my eggs wrong and served cold toast.

We love Dennys. But they are not properly trained in gluten free eating. Especially if a celiac. Cross contamination is a huge possibility. Our waitress was awesome and helped us as much as possible not knowing much about it. I wish they would train their people correctly. It could be very dangerous for some people.

The food was pretty good. I had the salmon skillet. The salmon was a little dry. I wanted some mustard finally I seen some sitting on a table and took it. Don't get me wrong the waitress was very nice but I a hard time trying to get her attention. Also a table of 6 left shortly after we arrived. That table continued to sit there dirty until right before we left. There were only 4 tables occupied on which we we're sitting. I use to bus tables and waitressed for many yrs. I wanted to get up and clean it myself. People don't want to look at a dirty table for most of their meal.

Currently very short staffed. Even short staff the serving team was doing great. However the kitchen is not helping the team effort out. Had them modify a plate to not have rice, however the Broccoli was not drained, resulting watery white sauce. Ate it and mentioned while paying.

Burgers are insanely small. I can get bigger burgers at McDonald's for cheaper. But they are tasty. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. They treated us amazingly!! They are the reason for 3 stars, our waitress and the hostess.

Food was okay not horrible not great. Just what you'd expect from Dennys. Service was horribly slow. Hard to get food/drink refills. The cook in the kitchen was so loud and yelling at the servers that it was definitely a distraction to the meal. Probably won't eat there again unless I have no other choice.

The food and server was great. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating was because I asked for shelled eggs and I still got the liquid pasteurized eggs. UPDATE: Changed my rating to a 3 star. I ordered pickup two days in a row. The first day my order was about 10 minutes late. The second day, my order was about 32 minutes late and when I recieved it, the food was cold!

I typically do not have any issues at this Denny’s location. The staff is friendly and helpful, but sometimes they can be understaffed. However, the past two times I’ve ordered I’ve had the same problem. I was hoping it wouldn’t happen a second time, and that maybe the one time was a fluke; I was wrong. I ordered the Choconana Pancake Breakfast that I love, one of these two times as a delivery and today as a pickup. I did not receive any of the additional items that are supposed to come with it, to include the bananas, whipped cream, or extra chocolate chips; with the bananas being one of the main parts of that menu item. Also, for whatever reason, these past two times the pancakes haven’t even been cooked the way they usually are. The chocolate chips have been put in as an afterthought, and not actually in the pancakes. Literally burned into the top. I am so disappointed. I think I’m honestly done ordering from them for a while. How are you going to completely exclude items that make the menu item what it is named for? And I might as well just get regular pancakes if the chocolate chips aren’t even going to be in the actual pancake. I have ordered this item so many times without any issues and it was perfect every time. I don’t understand why all of the sudden it’s completely different. I don’t usually complain about things, but two times on the same menu item? The hash browns have also been undercooked as well; not even slightly crispy. And the previous time I ordered I got scrambled eggs and they were literally just a huge clump of egg. I just want what I paid for when I order from any restaurant. I don’t think that’s too much to ask.

We arrived at 10:00 pm on a Saturday night. We stood at the front for five minutes while two people ignored us until the normal hostess seated us. Our server was cordial and prompt but ordered the wrong burger for my friend. She was also one of the people that ignored us at the hostess desk. Food (slam burger and avocado cheddar burger?) Were good, if greasy. It's a diner, though right? Expect below average service and average food, based on my experiences over the years. It's the only game in town after 11pm with the singular exception of some local dive diner if I'm not mistaken.

It seemed to good to be true..... Our server was basically at the door when we came in. And that's when it went all down hill. Let me first say that our first dozen or so visits to Denny's have been wonderful. Great food, great service. But this time, it was completely different. Once seated, the server (Cody) seemed to interested in grabbing more people off the street to sit in his section, than to actually serve the people already seated. I ordered drinks for my wife and myself, and asked for some extra napkins. That was strike one. He assured us he would bring them right over, and for the next fifteen minutes, he walked past our table without even as much as a glance. I guess the conversation in the kitchen about the cooks days off was more important. (Yes we got the tremendous pleasure of sitting across from the kitchen entrance. ) More than once he came from the kitchen, either eating something, or walking through the kitchen on his cell phone. We had ordered the new Italian sampler, and when he brought it to the table, it was like a drive thru, he just walked by, slid it on the table, and kept on going. Well, it was completely wrong. It was supposed to be six mozz sticks, three meatballs, and five pieces of garlic bread. What we were offered were four mozz sticks, three cold meatballs, and the top of a hoagie roll toasted with some butter. The quality of what we received versus what was advertised was completely off. The server ( Cody) came to the table and asked what was wrong. We explained that the plate was not what we had ordered, and we just wanted to cancel our order, pay for our drinks and leave. He told us not to worry about the drinks, and to have a good night, and just so we knew he didn't cook the food. I told him we understood that, and as we were getting our coats on to leave, he walked into the kitchen, and announced very loudly that "you got two people walking out because this didn't look like the menu". No Cody, we walked out because of poor service. We walked out because we were hungry and didn't want to pay for a quality meal if not served one. We couldn't even get one extra napkin and were ignored by the server. You may want to take some notes from the black guy that was the server on the opposite side...... He is amazing. Always on time with drinks, conversation, and a great work ethic. Sorry Denny's, you've lost another one.

Waited 30 minutes in a near empty restaurant for simple pancakes, nothing more, recently. Food swims in grease. The best, however, was the "eggs in a basket" I ordered the other day that actually looked really good, but when I cut into the eggs, they were both completely raw. Seriously. Raw. I don't even know how that's possible.

I've come here multiple times over the years (usually because someone I'm with wants to go). The food is okay. It takes a long time to get to you though, even when it's slow. The service is never really good. Usually slow and the servers tend to be forgetful. Usually you're eating next to a table of dirty dishes the entire meal too. Also I always use to switch out my eggs for toast but apparently they don't allow that anymore. I don't eat eggs and most of the meals come with eggs so that's a negative too. I've never had a really bad time here but I don't like coming here.

the food is mediocre at best but the service is so slow. My 80 year old grandmother can cook faster than these clowns. Every time I come here I observe my order sitting at the kitchen window for 10 to 15 minutes and of course no waiter is ever insight. Food has been cold on several occasions. Slow refills as well. Would not recommend.

Terrible experience. The hostess was rude and very hostile to patrons and coworkers. Our kid's food took over an hour to come out and was incomplete and poor quality. Another 25 mins for our adult meals to come out, again, incomplete and low quality. Kids (4 young children 6 and under) were done and ready to leave by the time my husband and I got our food. We ended up boxing ours up to go and left. I only give this the extra star because our waitress was wonderful and was clearly doing more than what one person should have been required to do given the number of workers present.

They were understaffed. Waitress was hard to get a hold off. Asked for manager and they never showed. Cook was making food while eating!!! We left without eating. Very disappointed. Previous visits the hash browns are a little dry the rest of the breakfast is great.

I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but I have to be honest, it's pretty bad. My group of two adults and one child waited almost 25 minutes to be seated in a 98% empty lobby, because there was only one waitress doing everything including serving. She did as well as she could. The crew in the back was shouting and being vulgar the whole time. My food was missing 3 ingredients - the only three that made it a feature item lol. I wasn't angry, it's just obvious they're seriously understaffed.

Went there for a late night meal with some friends. It took a minute to get seated but we didn’t mind as it looked like there were only two servers working and they seemed quite busy. However, when we did get seated it took 15 minutes to be seen and it was by a 3rd lady who said she wasn’t supposed to have us but took us anyways. After we ordered. A women who was our server at the beginning said that she would have us for the rest of our meal. We were seated close to the kitchen and we saw that our food was in the window under the heat lamp. Our server was just sitting at a table rolling the silverware for use later and she went to the kitchen twice but didn’t grab the food. When we did get it, the plates were scorching but the food was cold. We ate it, waited a while to pay, and left. Sucks because this is the only place to get a good meal late at night around here.

Service was friendly and acceptable and the facility appeared clean and well maintained. One of our party of four got a coffee that had a dishwater taste.  The cup was replaced and that fixed that issue. It felt like the food took too long to arrive for mostly breakfast items and one chicken burger.  We did arrive a little after one, but the dining room did not appear crowded. When I cut into my eggs over easy uncooked egg white spilled out (the white not the yolk, a lot not a little, and both of them not just one).  They removed my build a slam from the bill. In summary they seem to have the facility and the service correct, but the kitchen problems ruined the meal.  We'll be avoiding this restaurant on future trips.

Took about 10 minutes to get seated, in the meantime about 8 people got tired of waiting and left. Once seated we got our drinks right away, took about 25 minutes for our food. I honestly don’t recall if it was good or not as by then we were so hungry it didn’t matter. The place is severely understaffed and the person who appeared to be the manager wasn’t helping out at all by barking orders vs helping the situation at hand. Restaurant was not packed by any means, food was just super slow. We will not be back again.

The food was good. However, the server was very slow waiting on our table. We had to ask a number of times for our utensils, that weren't put on the table when we were seated. I asked for butter numerous times for my food, I never got it! When refilling our drinks the server poured regular coffee into my mother-in-law's cup instead of decafeinated, even after being reminded that her coffee was decaf. My mother-in-law had to wait a significant amount of time to have a new cup brought back, with the decaf that she originally had! The server apologized, explaining that it was extremely busy. It was not that busy, just that the server was sitting down at another table talking and laughing with those customers. I'm assuming that they were friends. On a positive note, she left us our check shortly after bringing our order out. At least we didn't have to wait when we were done eating and ready to leave. I'm just glad that we didn't want to order anything else!

The food took WAY to long to get to our table, even though it wasn't busy. There was people in 3 different tables eating. The wait staff was fine. The food wasn't up to the usual Denny's standard. If I could rate eat part individually I would give the waitstaff a 4 and the food a 1. Normally the food is great. But my family went there 2 different times and both times the food was horrible. Also Denny's doesn't have the variety that it used to, ever since the pandemic happened the food and service has been going downhill. It needs to be fixed in a big way. Otherwise you will be losing more business than you are now.

We walked in and were seated immediately. There was only one other table occupied. Our server took our order. Checked on us and refilled our coffee. She was very pleasant and that is why 2 stars instead of one. We waited almost an hour and no food. Eight other tables were filled and the people served and we were still waiting. An hour passed and still no meal!! Asked for a manager and all he did was say they have new cooks. Never coming back here!

This place is clearly understaffed. We were served food from many different employees including one of the cooks. We ordered an appetizer of fully loaded tator tots that looked like they had been CREMATED. We also ordered the salmon which tasted severely overcooked. The replacement steak for the salmon came so late we had to take it to go. On top of that the table was dirty on top and underneath and the kitchen and staff yell at eachother from across the restaurant. They have attitude toward eachother and can be visibly seen rolling their eyes at eachother. We had a lovely view of a table with cleaning products and dirty rags that the waitress decided to leave right next to us. Don't spend money here. Dennys is great but NOT this location.

Not a fan..... Won't be back. Men's bathroom DISGUSTING husband went in and toilets and urinal unusable and overflowing.... Food not appeasing. I ordered a "build your own burger" my opinion if it's "BUILD YOUR OWN" it should be what I want on it not everything that comes on a burger anyway and just add thing to it. That's a burger with extra items. I used to love Denny's back home (Binghamton NY) guess if I want Denny's I'm driving 3hrs next time. Or if I'm gonna go out for dinner or any meal there are plenty of other places I can and will go to.

This place is great, if you have the right server. The one that we got when we ate there recently was one of the worst since they reopened. She barely checked on us and was always forgetting to bring things to us. I got tired of asking for anything and just went without. Then she claims that she couldn’t clock out til we paid for our check. That was probably the most times we’ve seen her. She came by 3 times within 15 minutes. Then when I was waiting to pay for my meal, she kept asking how much I was tipping her. I’m sorry I should’ve paid none cuz that was flat out rude.

The bathroom was filthy if one stall didnt have toilet paper the other ones lock was broken and ones toilet was over flowing things were broken and covered in filth. The service sucked our server barely even looked at us my husbands food was gross and he barely ate it and didn't want to take it to go you'd think they'd ask if there was an issue. They were so loud back in the kitchen and even the person who seated us and checked us out was pre occupied and rude. Just an all around horrible experience.

Well where do I start the 45 minute wait for a burger and mozzarella sticks. The burger was dripping in grease. The mozzarella sticks was deep fried in some nasty old oil. The only good thing was we were seated across from the napkins beings we weren't giving any! This is the last time going there!

Food was good. Waitress not so much. She took our order, someone else delivered part of the food, not even whole order. Didn't ask if we needed refills until someone was seated at table next to us, then brought their drinks, not our refills. After my meal was finished she remembered the refills. Then brought the bill which included food that was never received. Never apologized for all the mistakes. Will make Dennys a last option next time. Very Dissatisfied

Literally waited 15 min to be seated and no one acknowledged that we were standing there and finally a waitress asked if we needed anything, even though there was only a couple of people seated she didn’t even noticed that we were waiting to be seated.. I had to walk out with my family, and there was 2 parties behind me that walked out also.. This is not the first time I’ve had to wait along time for no reason whatsoever. Terrible service

So I had just driven from TN to Watertown, NY. I sat there for at least 10 minutes at a table before I was even given the option of ordering a drink. Then, after I placed my food, it was an hour before it came back to the table. I ordered a steak medium, and it came back well done. Not only had I been sitting there after driving 14 hours waiting on dinner, now my steak was well done. This is the first stop I made in Watertown, and I will not be back! And Josh the Manger at the time didn't seem to care.

Sad. The employees are unhappy and it shows in their service. Most times I’ve been in, there’s piles of dirty dishes just sitting on tables. It takes a long time to get service, even though the place is usually empty when I’ve been in. I’ve been here 3 times and they never once got my order right. How difficult is cheese burger and fries? They forget the cheese, or forget the fries, or forget the stuff that accompanies a burger. I don’t understand how they are still in business.

Terrible service. No one greets by the door - had us waiting for a long time! Orders were so delayed. The food is not as good as the standard Denny’s The restaurant is so dirty - there’s dirty plates everywhere on different tables Out of staff - people complain so much and yell a lot. Restroom is nasty! Never again to visit this place!!!

Our name was taken first and put on a waiting list with our phone number and was told to sit in our car they would call us in 15 to 20 minutes. They don't take reservations so there was no reason for us not to be called first.. After 30 minutes we noticed that patrons coming in after us were not coming out to their cars and wait like we were told to. My spouse went in and noticed a whole bunch of parties after us were seated and being waited on. 45 minutes later we finally get a call and I asked why the others weren't asked to wait in their car and why they were already eating? I told her we left because it was unpleasant for us to see that. I regret that we waisted all that time waiting patiently only to end up angry. Do yourself a favor go to IHOP or Cracker Barrel where it's run by competent people.

Group of us (10 people) sat down at Denny’s around 11:30ish we waited for an hour and a half before our food finally came out. Which we thought they made everything up to serve us all at the same time. This was not the case after an hour and half our food slowly became to come out. Tray one came out waited 10 mins for tray two to come out and then continued to wait 15 mins for tray three of food to come out. Asked to speak with a manager and the manager and the waitress were very rude. Didn’t apologize didn’t come refill our coffee didn’t ask what they could do didn’t explain anything that was going on or why our food was taking so long. Will not be coming back ever again. The least they coulda done was given us free dessert. Wouldn’t suggest big parties coming here.

Showed up with my family and was seated by a waitress.. she begins arguing with another Co worker on how the wait time will be long. The waitress fails to mention it to us. We are seated then after 10 minutes we are seen by a different waitress asking if we have gotten drinks yet.. we have not so we ask for the wait time. We were told well there’s 5 tables waiting in front of you so I don’t know. We say we are leaving and the waitress says “Okay” and walks off. Very unprofessional, never going back.

Not recommended. The service was very slow. When we were seated at our table, we waited a long time before our server came out to us. And the food was served about 45 minutes later and not hot anymore. Food is ok but I like my food hot, not cold.

Breakfast should not take 1.5 hours to serve the endless breakfast which consists of scrambled eggs hashbrowns and pancakes. Fist serving arrived in 30 minutes and then 45 minutes for extra hashbrowns. Will not be back to this location. Restaurant was not that busy, but very slow service.

Waited almost an hour for a hamburger and superbird meal when after 45 minutes our waiter apologized for the long wait and told me the" kitchen staff sucks and it's not even busy". Food was cold and terrible and then they seated a monster family next to us in a section of 2 families. At least I got to pay $43 for a terrible meal and experience with poor service. NEVER AGAIN .

This by far is the absolute worst restaurant I have ever been to. When we walked in about 7pm on a Saturday night during a holiday weekend, this Denny’s had maybe 8 tables seated . That should have been our first clue. I’ll try to make this a short version. We were seated in an area where there was a family of four, a table with two ladies. Then us, two adults with 3 children. We sat for about 15 minutes before drinks were offered, so we ordered at the same time. The family of four who we later found out arrived a few minutes before us didn’t have drinks yet. The ladies at the other table were done eating . An elderly couple came in after us. 25 minutes into our wait we finally had drinks. Now the fun begins. Two more tables are seated, none of the first 3 tables has any food...... nor will they till about 45 minutes later. Table of four get food, we ask and are told by our waiter he has no idea when our food will come. The cook prepares in order that the tickets arrive. Which means one table at a time.. in a restaurant???? There is another section that we can’t even see that has people also. We are beyond frustrated when the elderly couple who came after get food. We ask again, no idea , can’t even guess. So, people are coming in, and I haven’t mentioned that we are seated right opposite of the entrance. As the new arrivals enter, we politely suggest they eat elsewhere as the service is so slow. We turned away 4 different sets of people. An hour later the food arrives . The one thing that was requested not to be on a burger , mushrooms, is covered on the burger. My daughter asks for the manager, she comes out from hiding in the kitchen and says she’s sorry, she’ll replace it right away. We ask if we are going to wait, and she says no, and tells a waiter to move it ahead if the other orders . A table that was seated, 2 men, 2 women finally get half the meals, men eat , women wait ( over 10 minutes) before they get food. I’ll add that the whole staff is non existent during the dining experience. Only when they are bring food or drink do you see them. New arrivals stand up to 10 minutes before being greeted and seated. The female manager who is only identifiable by asking who the manager is and when a table with a tip that was stuffed in her pocket is ever seen. Certainly not heard . No smiles , no light banter that waiters and waitresses do to EARN a tip, nothing but excuses. I could go on and on. This whole shift should be either let go, or taught how to be I a service industry . What a disgrace . And yes. The food was as bad as the service .

Came into a virtually empty restaurant to be told at the door that it would be at least a 10 minute wait, in our car no less, because the kitchen was backed up on call in orders and on line orders. Seriously!!! The restaurant only had 3 tables of people when we walked in. Who turns away customers because the kitchen can't cook orders??? It's so terrible that this location constantly has issues and it's not with the food!! They serve good food, if you're fortunate enough to get some!! The service and hospitality are terrible!!!

Went there for dinner tonight. Absolutely awful. The waiter was good and didn't seem to be annoyed. I ordered the sirloin steak well done as I don't like my meat red and bloody 😒 When it came out it was rare, I tried to suffer through but couldn't so I asked for it to be redone. 3 minutes later they brought it back blackened on the top and still bleeding in the middle. I ordered broccoli for the side and it came out cold. I had to wait 45 minutes for the food and after I had finished my lemonade it sat there the rest of the 45 minutes I was there empty without an offer to refill. Will definitely not be going back. If I could give zero stars I would.

Just went this morning July 31, 2019 and I was not impressed with the service at all. We waited to be seated for over 15 minutes, meanwhile there was NO other customers there. The manager then arrived and seated us and she was not very thrilled. The server that failed to seat us was very very rude with a large amount of attitude. That server left and we had a new server who was great and apologized up and down. We ordered an appetizer from the server before but we never received them because the cook forgot about them and over cooked their LAST BATCH. The manager said she would discount us a free meal and remove the appetizer but she only removed the appetizer which obviously out common decency would be removed if I never received them. The food was good but no impressed with the service once so ever.

Service was terrible. Waited for our appetizers for 20 mins and there was a whole 3 people in the whole restaurant. Waiter didn't put appetizers in how do I know? Well we were sat right by the kitchen when we could hear everything being said clearly and they didnt even try to be quiet. Was asked what i wanted for a meal and requested something that was clearly on the menu and was told 2 weeks ago was removed but never even marked off the menu. Never was asked for another drink when our cups were practically empty by the Time our food came out. Food was sub par compared to any other time. And then dessert ordered the new dessert . Then was told o wait didn't even have to be told because I could hear them yelling to each other that they were all out of the dessert in the freezer. So the waiter came out again saw the cups both empty again for the 3rd time and no refill one of them was just water. Was finally told can't get the dessert I ordered so got a cheesecake instead. And once again no refill on our drinks. So for the sake of keeping my review nice I will just say this was a very terrible experience and I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO DENNYS IN WATERTOWN NY.

I love dennys but this location is the worst. Food took 30 minutes and it wasn't even good. I've worked in the restaurant business so i understand how stressful it can be but it was not even near being busy in there. The eggs were overcooked, paid extra $2 for choconana pancakes to have only 3 slices of Banana added and server didn't even bring pancake syrup. Server never checked on us so i waited 10 minutes til he walked by and had to call him over to ask for syrup. When I asked for syrup he seemed annoyed. Kitchen staff was very loud. Dennys is a well known restaurant that has potential to be great but this location seriously needs some better management. Sat there for over an hour with terrible service, terrible food and spent $40+. Really sucked having to pay for a terrible experience. Go elsewhere like longways, shortys or even ihop. Anywhere is better. Will not be back.

The Watertown Dennys had tons of seats available but their excuse is the kitchen isn't able to keep up. It was only about 30% occupied. We waited 25 mins to be seated. I could've gone out to the car again but being disabled that would be a chore(hard) with the additional walking. After being seated waited 20 minutes to get our food. Waitress was good and polite. I would hate to think how bad it would be if they could be able to seat 100%. Kitchen personnel are worthless if they can't keep up. Need more staff. This restaurant has a high turn over of employees. I would look into why. That's one reason they're short staff. Closing at 4pm daily is so dumb to.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY, If you have Bobby run away. Absolutely garbage service. We had Bobby as our server and she had been working here according to her for 6 months. It took her 20 min just to bring us coffee no silverware was offered we had to go to the kitchen to get it our selves. Our order(an outlet and cheese burger) took them 70 minutes to bring to the table from the time of ordering. It has gone way down hill since new owner. Our server couldn't even bring a check to one table and coffee to another at the same time. They werent busy either, there were a total of 4 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. I don't mean to be negative and call someone out like this but some people just shouldn't be in the service industry.

We waited for over an hour for our food. Just as we were getting ready to walk out, the waitress said that they were just taking it off the grill, so we decided to wait. Five minutes later she finally brings us our meals. The potatoes were dry like they'd been under a heat lamp forever. The cheese on my omelette was absolutely rubbery. There's no way that our meals were fresh.

Brutal, went for breakfast around 10:15 am, there were only 6 people in the restaurant so we thought it would quick. 10 mins later someone seats us took another 15 mins for a coffee. Placed our orders at 10.30am and by 11:20 still no breakfast. Told the waitress sorry we are leaving as it's been 45 minutes without food, she just said, oh ok. Did not even say let me check on your food.

I understand their short staff but never in my life have I been told after asking for a refill.. "I just brought you one." We have a family of 4 and I find it extremely rude seeming how all 4 of us needed a refill but I brushed it off. When she finally brought us refills she didn't give us all one so I had to share mine. Then they have a 20 percent off coupon for new members and I simply asked a question about it and got a lil attitude as she just stood there. They had asked another family to pay while still eating and we're about to ask us. The waitress stared at us while finishing eating. The 1 star rating is for the service not the food. I didn't even want to tip her after that service.

I understand that businesses get busy during holidays but if you tell customers it’s going to be a 10 minute wait but it’s actually gonna be a 40 minute wait, just be honest. We patiently waited then got sat then people who were sat after us were helped first so we just left. We wasted over an hour of what was supposed to be a special & relaxing morning.

We were here from 8:45-10:40 this morning. We got our drinks 25 mins after sitting down. Took the waitress 5 times to bring a water we ordered. Brought out the wrong meals. Never got a refill on coffees. Just poor service all together.

Took 20 minutes for anyone to even come over and take our drink order. After the food came out nothing was hot, wait nothing was warm. The food was cold enough for our 9 month old to eat without us having to blow on the food. Ordered a steak rare and there was no tint of pink in it. Asked for a manager, which came out and stared at us then went to another table to eat and joke around. Won’t go there again

Online order* Check your order before you leave. Everything was wrong, only 3 tenders, no bacon on the burger that I paid extra for, and the dessert was not even in the bag. I called down and after 3 times of calling someone answers and puts me on hold. 4 and 1/2 minutes on hold the phone hangs up. I tried calling back multiple times with no answer. I walked back down here and the manager laughing and slowly walking with an employee finally comes up and says oh you dont want me to remake it?? Now it has been 20 min waiting on the refund. There are enough other places to eat. Stay away from here!!!

I feel for the waitress we got this morning. If i was her, itd be out of there so quick. It was just her waiting on maybe 10+ tables, meanwhile more people were coming in. Not only that, the manager came out and kept bossing her to do other things right when theres 8 people at the door waiting to be seated. She didnt even acknowledge the people at the door or even acknowledged the girl needed help. Then screamed out that she was leaving… We got seated, waited awhile, came to realization that we werent going to get much luck here and left.

If I could give zero stars I would. This location is absolutely horrible; the service was bleak to say the least. Not only was the “chef” screaming about orders, the employees were using profound language (knowing there were families/children dining), me and my husband seen the waitress once. Tables hadn’t been cleaned almost our entire time dining in, even the table we were placed hadn’t even been wiped off properly. NONE of the employees were wearing there masks, I seen into the kitchen and THEY WERE ALL OFF!! Absolutely disgusting! I would never recommend this location, overall it was a terrible experience. I’m not one to leave a review, but this was unacceptable. We ended up leaving early, even to do that I had to find someone to service us.

Some of the slowest service I've ever experienced. My family and I waited over an hour for our food which I saw waiting in the window for at least 20 minutes. The waitress was not sociable and honestly rude. She didn't ask me how I wanted my burger cooked which tells me they are frozen patties. My mothers burger was disgusting. DRIPPING with grease. I asked for no onion or tomato on my burger but they put it on anyway. All you could hear throughout the whole restaurant was the female chef complaining. My soda tasted like the fountain hadn't been cleaned in years. Absolutely dont recommend. You're honestly better off going to a local diner or just forking out the extra cash to get a real dinner at Texas road house.

Food took forever. Wasn't even that busy and the cooks were being super loud and obnoxious. Usually wouldn't care if my food wasn't taking 30 minutes to be made. When our food finally came its was disgusting. My order was supposed to have 2 pieces of bacon and I was only served one scrawny little piece. Asked for another, server seemed annoyed and brought me another tiny piece. Server never asked to refill coffee or drinks. Barely made an effort at all to check up on us. Asked for soup and was told it would be a while. Never brought it to me and didn't even mention it or apologize for not bringing it. 40$ and an hour of our time for a terrible experience. Just go to IHOP or Longways if you want breakfast food. This place obviously has terrible management and the cooks are either lazy or unexperienced.

My husband took myself and our daughter for dinner and it was understaffed (one waitress) who was rummaging through the place apologizing to everyone repeatedly and when food was done she was in such a rush and would spill everything. The food was awful quality burned and what we ordered well we received the total opposite. Definitely not impressed!! Won't be going there again. Didn't receive half of our order was still expected to pay- just awful

When we arrived to Dennys, we were pretty happy to see it wasn't busy as we thought we'd get a table quickly. Wrong. We stood and stared at an almost empty restaurant for 10 minutes before any hostess even looked our way. Once we were noticed, we were sat down immediately. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer. When our drinks came out, we placed our main order. Fast forward 30 minutes and we were still waiting on our appetizer and in need of refills. Another 15 minutes went by and our food finally came. Our appetizer came with our main dishes which defeats the purpose of an appetizer. Meanwhile, people sat at the same time or after us were already asking for their checks. When we did finally get our food, only half our food really came out. Come to find out, our waitress did not put in the full order. We had to ask for syrup twice before it finally came. It took another 10 minutes for our refills. The food was good though. That's why I gave at least one star. When we were done with our food, we stacked our plates. The international sign for "Hey we're ready for our check." We waited 15 minutes for any staff member to walk by but we eventually had to get up and go to the front desk to ask for our check. This was a 2 hour ordeal. We were at a DINER for 2 hours!!! Unheard of! We will not be returning and we will recommend IHOP over you guys any day. And they have their own issues.

The food is decent. Some of the staff are pleasant and kind to the customer. I work there as a dishwasher. I came in and ordered a small meal. Not that I should get any privilege because I work there. But I am still a paying customer (not on the clock). When I ordered my food it was 9:07am. I got my food at 9:51am (now cold). I paid 12 dollars for cold food and poor service? I even had to ask where my food was. They never asked what I was still waiting for. Rude service. Go eat food somewhere else if you want good service.

Let’s see. Arrived at 7:30AM. Was seated quickly. Ordered quickly. The food was about a 30 minute wait. The couple items we asked for while waiting never came until after we got our food (booster seat, silverware!). The waitress was friendly but forgetful about everything. Ordered boxes for our leftovers and the waitress began piling all the plates on top of each other. I ordered the “endless breakfast” and so ordered another round to go. The waitress forgot to send the order in, her words not mine. I had a coupon from the Dennys app and they would not accept it. By 9:30 AM I still was not able to check out because my food hadn’t arrived yet. The manager came out, I explained what happened, and he said “I’m not gonna argue with you man”. I left $0 tip and he was furious. Sorry, do better.

This might have been the worst experience I’ve ever had eating out. The only thing I wish was different about tonight’s experience was that I could give 0 stars instead of 1. After waiting for 40 minutes to get our food, we could hear our waitress( who was also the manager on duty) yelling at the kitchen staff to hurry, and then returned to our table stating that she would not bring me one of the sides I ordered because it looked repulsive. The waitress also continued to forget parts of our order, and continued to yell at the kitchen staff out loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear. The chicken tenders I ordered were almost black and burnt to a crisp. Another person in our party could not even eat the wings due to them being so burnt they were hard on the outside. The waitress trash talked the kitchen staff to us. And repeatedly told us they couldn’t wait to get home. This was an absolutely terrible experience, and the absence of professionalism was concerning. I will not step foot back in this location. Our waitress Tammy did not make the experience any better, and I wish I had an option to tip less when paying with a card. I would not recommend this location to anyone, even if it was the last place on earth.

Absolutely maddeningly slow service. Here now and it's really not busy, not even half the tables are filled. Seriously considering getting up and leaving. Been here almost an hour (55min) and the server JUST brought the food. As the picture shows, we didn't order much. I'm pretty sure this is the last time I'll be coming here. The service is usually fairly slow but this takes it to another level.

New remodel was nice. Atmosphere was good. That's the only thing that deserved a star. We waited 45 minutes to even order because they had forgotten about us. We didn't even have menus! And by the time we received our food, it was about an hour and a half after we arrived. Extremely underwhelming. Half of our items were either over cooked or under cooked. It was ridiculous. 2 hours and a $45 bill later, we left pretty irritated.
