Came to this quaint neighborhood gem for Valentine's Day Dinner with my wife. All 3 courses were to die for. The arancini was our fav. Great cocktails, entrees and deserts. You will leave happy.
I’ve been living in the area for a little while now and decided to come here to celebrate my mother’s birthday recently. First off, I made a reservation and they had the table set and ready for us when we got there. The service was great! The food & wine were absolutely delicious! Some of the best wine I’ve had in a while. We asked for a little birthday dessert and they brought out a tiramisu with a candle which really made my mother’s entire night.
We ordered take out and we will be ordering again. The person who took our order on the phone was so pleasant and read our order back.We were greeted as soon as we entered to pickup. The presentation was nice and food delicious.
Food is awesome, dine in or take out. Burrata, buffalo chicken pizza are flavorful. Friend got the salmon and loved it. Shout out to the Kaseys that work here 👏😎
A great local spot! Homey atmosphere and great service! The gnocchi are like pillows, totally melt in your mouth. Casey was a great host!
I always eat at the sister restaurant in Dorchester and I had no idea there was a closer option to where I live so I was dying to try this place ,the food was amazing I got the apple cider porkchop ,the aracini balls and cannolis ,it was like being in the north end but without the drive to Boston ,I love it ans will definitely be going back all the time
Great food, specially the pizza was so good, had some wine as well. Overall very pleasant experience.
Great spot for Italian, be sure to make a reservation as the inside is a little small and can fill up quickly. Staff was attentive and pleasant. The menu has enough options while not over whelming you, you'll definitely see something that catches your eye. We live in the area so we walked over, but there's street parking up and down the road, but you should be prepared to walk a little bit.
Highly recommended restaurant! The food was sooo delicious and the different options on the menu make the choice harder because everything looked good. The salad was great, and the garlic bread was mouthwatering, I ordered it twice. The scallop Scampi I had was very very delicious and satisfying. Drinks and cocktails were all great, and the tiramisu is a must at the end. The service was very friendly and welcoming. Highly highly recommended and definitely going back!
Ravello is a hidden gem in the city, serving up some of the most delicious pasta I've ever had. I've been there twice now, and I'm already planning my next visit. The pasta is made fresh to order, and the sauces are rich and flavorful. On my first visit, I tried the Spaghetti Carbonara. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the sauce was creamy and delicious, with a hint of smokiness from the bacon. On my second visit, I tried the Shrimp Fra Diavolo and it was amazing. In addition to the pasta, the restaurant also has a great selection of appetizers and desserts. I highly recommend the Burrata Caprese appetizer, which features fresh burrata cheese, tomatoes, and basil. For dessert, the Tiramisu is a must-try. It's made with light and fluffy ladyfingers soaked in espresso and layered with a creamy mascarpone filling. The service at Ravello is also excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they make sure that you have everything you need to enjoy your meal. Overall, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Italian dining experience. The food is excellent, the service is top-notch, and the prices are reasonable.
Ravello is that genuine, marvellous Italian restaurant that honestly, truly serves house made pasta. What a revelation. There are lots of area Italian restaurants that have house made pasta on their menus, but no, can't be, once you have had the real.thing. Ravello's pasta is toothsome, properly eggy and absolutely fresh. So, a must, but the entire menu, and drinks too, are wonderful. At our last visit a few weeks ago we started with grilled peppers, good with the focaccia and olive oil on the table. We also shared a very proper, and properly chilled,, bottle of rose. They are generous with the bread, a nice touch these days when places have curbed anything that seems extra. I had steak, done just right, and switched out the potatoes for their amazing pasta. My husband loved his stuffed chicken breast over roasted potatoes. All entrees come well dressed. Ravello is fine dining in terms of the cuisine, though less expensive. The room is casually chic, good dishes, silver and linen. Service is attentive, professional, low key in keeping with what the restaurant is all about, which is expert food and wine. There's plenty of on street parking, and seems handicap accessible. There's plenty on the menu for vegetarians, and gluten free diners, too. Children would be well fed, though might just be spoiled for ordinary pasta, watch out!!It's dinner only, and there were patrons picking up their meal to take out.
Wonderful Cozy restaurant in Watertown. Need a reservation for sure.
If you always yearn for a good neighborhood Italian restaurant, this is the one you have imagined. Especially if you live in Minneapolis. Small dining room, intimate bar and incredibly good Italian food. I had the butternut squash soup which was smooth and delicious. A big portion too. Then I had pasta and clams in a wine and butter sauce. The clams were fresh and tasty, the sauce was perfect with a hint of spice. Can’t wait to come back and try something else. Reasonably priced as well. With wine my dinner came to $53.
Love this restaurant! First time we went there, we sat outside at these really adorable blue tables but it rained and the staff very nicely and quickly moved us inside to the very cozy and cute bar. Great atmosphere, great staff, great food. The arancini and drinks are phenomenal.
Ravello has a classic Italian menu that is prepared masterfully. All of their pastas are freshly made. We didn't have their pizzas, but they look wonderful. The calamari was nice and clean with a bright marinara. But the appetizer show was won by the squash blossoms. They are not always on the menu, but if you can get them, they are great. We enjoyed the soft shell crab picotta and the scallop scampi, both superb. The serving sizes were ideal, providing a satisfying meal without feeling like we needed to bring the small bits left home with us. For dessert, the lemon ricotta zeppoles were something very new for me, and they may have changed me forever. These could have easily been the highlight of the meal. But everything was so consistently spot on that I can't take away from the other courses. Don't be afraid to sit at the bar as the bartenders were very helpful with suggestions and overall very friendly. Cocktails and wine list were exceptional. The cocktail in my picture is an Empress Indigo gin martini with a blanco vermouth and a dash of orange bitters that the bartender recommended though it was not on the menu. The table service looked precise and efficient without any hint of trying to rush people out the door. We will be going back very soon. Already looking at the menu thinking about what we'll get next. Reservations are recommended.
A very delicious Italian spot with beautiful dish presentations and warm atmosphere. We ordered the arancini to start, then pappardelle bolognese and short rib ravioli. The arancini balls were perfectly filled and fried. The handmade pappardelle ribbons were wide in a savory meat sauce. The raviolis were absolutely phenomenal and my favorite - also handmade, and stuffed with chianti-braised short rib with a Marsala cream sauce and beautiful wild sautéed mushrooms. Wow. The atmosphere was warm and inviting - a perfect date night spot for a relaxed Italian meal. Pleasantly surprised and will be back.
Perfect neighborhood Italian joint. It’s small so make sure you make a reservation. Friendly and attentive service with some outdoor seating as well. Enjoy!
Highly recommend this place. The pizza was so good and fresh. Loved the base. The highlight was Tiramisu. One of the best I have tried.
Amazing food my wife had the eggplant Parmesan, I had the chicken Parmesan. It was absolutely amazing. Amazing breaded chicken Parm pieces. We had brochette for an appetizer which was also really delicious. Highly recommended. Great ambience.
I’m not a local. Grilled squid appetizer was great, salad delicious, good garlic bread and amazing short rib ravioli’s.
food is delicious and staff is beyond accommodating! I particularly liked the shrimp fra diavolo — a flavorful balance of spicy and sweet! fantastic wine offerings and caesar salad as well. will certainly be coming back!
Great food!! Seriously fresh pasta with delicious sauces, I have enjoyed everything I've ordered from here. The portioning and quality are easily five stars!! With plenty of attentive & friendly staff. It's one of my favorite places for a date night.
Great homemade Italian food right here in Watertown. Service is very friendly. You can eat at the full service bar or at a table. Don’t miss the lasagne or any dish with homemade pasta.
We had an amazing meal at Ravello! The scallops were done perfectly and the sauce for the lamb gnocchi was decadent. Highly recommend a visit. Rivals the north end!
the BEST carbonara I've ever had! staff was incredibly attentive and kind, and everyone at our table was blown away. Great experience through and through!
Had dinner Saturday night and our server Jess was great, our food was fabulous. Had a great conversation with Nick the manager. I highly recommend Ravello Italian Kitchen as a place to enjoy a great Italian meal with great servers and management.
A hidden rustic gem just outside Boston. The flavors are impeccable, and clearly they take effort to get quality ingredients. Even the simplest dish tastes wonderful. When food is this good without being overpriced, it’s worth the trip even if you’re further away.
Just great Italian food. Discovered it a year or so ago and have been back several times since then. I’ve brought friends who’ve loved it too.
Super friendly staff and delicious food. Nice cocktail options and beer list as well!
Always excellent everything, from service, to cocktails, to the food. Love it every time.
Absolutely recommend! Everything is sourced from local markets so there are some seasonal items on the menu, with all dishes made in house. I highly recommend the burrata pizza, the Popeye pizza, and the vodka pasta. The bolognese was also good. The pizza was the highlight for me! I will be going back to try the soft-shell crab piccata and the other pizzas!
I stumbled on this gem after work one night and the staff recommended the breaded gluten free chicken parmigiana and it was absolutely delicious they really do this very well and honestly it’s one of the best I’ve had and will definitely come back when in the area. A wide variety of gluten free options with the various pasta sauces. Highly enjoyed my time here. The beet salad was also good but the start was the entree. Cute and small restaurant so plan ahead or come off hours.
Casual, small dining room that is close but comfy. It kind of felt like an open concept but we were right next to the kitchen so that might be why.
We’ve been regulars here four ~4 years and the food and service are always excellent. We’ve tried most things on the menu and have never been disappointed. On our most recent trip we had a great meal but we were disappointed with the new renovations. We found the new atmosphere to be overly bright, and the new colors took away from the warm and cozy atmosphere it had with its previous color scheme. We will certainly be back on a regular basis but would have preferred the previous look remain.
I rarely leave reviews, but this is an exception. This was the best italian food I have had in Boston to date. My wife and I lived in the North End for years and have tried every single italian place there and nothing even comes close to Ravello. My rigatoni a la vodka was the second best pasta dish ive had at a restaurant in my entire life, the first being the short rib ravioli dish that my wife got. Both dishes were spectacular. Filled with flavor, perfectly cooked pasta, and the best sauce I’ve ever tasted. The arancini was also the best ive had at a restaurant. They were crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside with the perfect cheese to rice ratio. Even the red sauce on the arincini was fantastic. On top of all this our waitress was fantastic and the service was incredible. The manager (i think) also came by to make sure we were having a great experience. I will go here over the north end, and places like Toscano (beacon hill) from now on. We are also going to cater from here going forward when we have a lot or people over. This was truly a 10/10 dining experience.
Inside is really cool and unusual but we actually sat outside. It was nice to be outside but you're right on the street and there was trash all over where we sat next to the bus stop. I think they started the outdoor seating when covid hit and it's cool but it's obviously not designed for that. The inside looks very charming and the next time I will eat in there. The food was very good. I got the scallops and was disappointed with the portion size there was only about five or six very small scallops and a couple of them were literally tiny but they tasted great! I'll definitely come again.
I can't recommend Ravello highly enough!!! The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff are so wonderful. They are also super accommodating for gluten allergies, which I'm so appreciative of. My fiance and I come here regularly and we love that they have outdoor dining during COVID. Absolutely incredible restaurant!!!
Went for a date night for a birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. Fantastic food and stellar, attentive service. The Pesce Salad’s salmon, tomatoes, and garden vegetables were so fresh me and my girlfriend couldn’t stop eating it. I ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo with handmade linguini and it was delicious. The sauce had a perfect spicy kick, the shrimp was cooked to perfection, and the linguini was excellent. Gem of an authentic Italian restaurant with a super cozy atmosphere great for date night or quiet night with friends.
It is deceptively great! The pasta and all of the ingredients are incredibly fresh, great service and fun cocktails/wine list! Perfect neighborhood location and fantastic price point... My kiddo and we both love the calamari! We've had the short rib ravioli, shrimp and lobster scampi which was plentiful and fresh. I've also tried the chicken parm (old standby) which did not disappoint. The location somehow makes the restaurant hidden in plain sight (the door is behind a bus vestibule and it's a corner entrance location) but otherwise nothing but great things to say.
Great food and great service! I even got gluten free chicken parm and spaghetti which was excellent! They have a wonderful food and drink menu. Our server Jess was was excellent as well. The manager Nick greeted us when we came in and found us a great table by the window. So the bottom line is, this is a great restaurant and I'm so happy we found this little gem! We will be back!
The service is great. The place is clean. It's really cute.Lots of delicious dishes to choose from.I really like the linguine with clam sauce and the caesar salad. The dressing is so good. The bartender is great with customer service and suggestions.I would definitely go back here matter of fact.I tried a couple of times but they didn't have any availability.Which is good, because that means this place is popping. But I will be back.I'm gonna keep trying until I can get a reservation again
Fresh ingredients, and delicious flavors. Highly recommend the garlic bread and squash blossom appetizers. The service was great as well.
The food was really good, but the part of the dish was well seasoned but the vegetables were bland. Me and my friend both thought it could use me flavor.
This is a small narrow Resturant. The food we had was delicious. The waiter friendly. The prices were a little high but worth it. I suggest a reservation. D Patnod, L. Ac. Cambridge
Visited with three others last week. The restaurant is very cozy. We were sat at a table across from the "bend" in the bar. Very close quarters. The food was good - I liked the use of local ingredients - ie Great Hill Blue. Liked the summer salad, and the gorgonzola pasta was tasty but the sauce was very tight and a big gleep glorp. The black pep pasta was nice and the aperol spritz was tasty! LOVED the strawberry shortcake. Other guest loved the short rib ravs. Overall nice experience.
Last night at Ravella I found a warm, welcoming staff and a lovely table with a candle and flowers. The atmosphere was lively, people were having fun. I wouldn't mind if they ditched that big TV. The food was uneven. The butternut squash soup was good. The beet salad had a lot of tough, unpleasant arugula, very few beets, and the dressing needed some lemon. The garlic bread needs garlic. The meatballs were over-salted and tough, the marinara too sweet. The pasta was good. The creme brulee had a spectacular presentation, a good out of season strawberry and lots of whipped cream. But the custard was a bit tough.
This was my second visit to Ravello. I was looking forward to the meal based on my previous experience. I am sad to report that the best thing about my meal was the wine. First, the beet salad. The beets that I found were good, though I had to search for them in the sea of arugula. The cheese crumbles were so small as to be invisible. The pear vinaigrette was fine. The salad was large, which allowed them to charge $13 for it, but it was mostly arugula. Second, the pappardelle bolognese. (This is my test for an Italian restaurant.) The pasta was fine, and the sauce had a decent flavor, but where was the beef? The management was interested in our real opinions of their food, so I was honest, and as compensation, was brought a bowl of sauce with more meat; however, the meat was overcooked and a bit crunchy. One of my friends ordered this dish and had the same opinion, so I wasn't alone in my reactions. My opinion is that the kitchen was cutting corners on the more expensive ingredients, and so, while our server was lovely and the restaurant is very cute, I won't be returning. Too expensive for such a mediocre meal!
We live in Cambridge and had been wanting to go here for a while. We waited a long time to be served by an unfriendly waiter who was training someone which was confusing to us. Don’t you step up your game when training someone like actually smile? maybe he was stressed, we saw no other wait staff… our pastas were disappointing. Alfredo was very bland ie. hospital food bland. The shrimp pasta which was suppose to be spicy had a sauce which was sweet, as if they used sugar or honey? I had to use chili flakes to off set the sweetness. I rarely write reviews, but given this is in our neighborhood and seemingly popular, we left perplexed. One server for entire restaurant given our wait, and homemade pasta quality was good but sauces not good and service terrible sadly. I guess regulars overlook such slights. The bartender very friendly so maybe sitting at bar is your best bet.. .
This place was decent a few months ago. Been back twice and the chicken parm was as dry as the desert and portions don’t fit the price. Paid almost $20 for this piece of lasagna that would leave a 5 year old hungry after they ate it. Might have to go back again just to take another picture of how pathetic their portions are. My Italian grandpa almost fainted when he saw this thing. I almost felt bad giving it to him.
They are very snob and they treat you like you don't deserve to be there!!!: terrible experience! I don't recommend it! Specially the host by the entrance, he makes you feel unwelcome. I wonder how the Italian community feels going there! Not worth it, it's a narrow place so it's very noisy. No wonder most of the good reviews are for take out orders!
