Buck & Honey's - Waunakee

Grabbed lunch over at buck and honeys, the meatloaf was great! I also had the mushroom risotto, it was awesome. Tabby was very attentive.

Wow! I had such a great experience here the Jamaican pork was delicious. My waiter chance and bartender tabby made my experience memorable and makes me want to come back.

I come to Buck & Honey’s often and it never disappoints! The food and drinks are always top-notch, and I especially love trying their weekly specials. They’re consistently creative and delicious. Tonight we had a girls night out and Chance J. absolutely made the evening! His service was friendly, attentive, and just what we needed to make the night extra fun. Highly recommend this place, great atmosphere, great staff, and consistently great food.

The table shared the sampler app cheese curds bang bang shrimp and bacon rapped dates . Absolutely amazing the house made ranch was excellent. My wife got the meat loaf and it was great . I had the Chipotle chicken pasta which was fabulous. It was not overly hot just the right amount of spice . The drinks were top notch I had a lemon drop martini, a strawberry margarita , and a espresso martini which you can order with whatever picture you can find on the internet .

Went here New Year’s Eve with my wife and it was FANTASTIC. Best cheese curds ever and the meal was excellent. Worth.

Great food and staff! I’ve had a few of their menu offerings and liked them all. We love to go there with our kids and grandkids, but it is equally great for date night

We love this buck and honeys! Food is delicious! Lunch time is never too busy and service is spot on! Nashville hot chicken sandwich is amazing. Their Waygu burger is tender, juicy, and flavorful. They have some of the BEST cheese curds in the area! Highly recommend!!

This review is for the server, CHANCE. He is phenomenal!! We’ve been in his section a few times now, and it’s always a great experience. He’s knowledgeable, has an awesome personality and is always on top of it. My youngest brought in a toy spider-man the first time he was our server and Chance played right along with his imagination! Ever since, our son is always excited to go back and see that he is working!

Had a great meal with my family the other night. Great food and great service. Chance couldn’t have been better. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Definitely taking the wife and kids back there because of him.

We had a retirement party on Sat. We had about 25 people. Hellen was our server and did an outstanding job!!! She was extremely friendly and patient with everyone including the kids. We will definitely be back!!

Buck and Honeys is a local favorite of mine. Their food is always great. The real reason I keep coming back is the service though. Specifically, Chance, always makes it a warm and inviting visit. He’s very courteous, knowledgeable, and charming. I always ask for him if he is available. Shoutout to Chance.

Also enjoy my experience at Buck and Honeys! Sat at the bar for the Badger game and it was super fun! Had Grace as our bartender her and Chance the manager are great! Will continue to come back when in town!

I was recently there to meet froends for drinks. Ended up sitting at the bar. So happy we did! Madison was so gracious and very engaging with us! Recommended some very tasty craft cocktails. We decided to stay and have dinner. She is definitely a keeper!!

We celebrated our 30th Anniversary last night. Food was excellent and our server Chance was top notch! We were a party of 11. 7 adults 2 kids and 2 infants. Chance was welcoming and kind to all of us!

Went there for their Friday fish fry, had Chance as a server. What a wonderful man with a ton of charisma. He kept cracking jokes and smiling from ear to ear. Can’t wait to go back with my wife and kids. He even got me to order the dessert!

Eight of us had lunch today and Tabitha was our waitress. Tabitha greeted us and showed us to our table. She was very pleasant and attentive to our table. She made sure we all received our senior discount. Tabitha made the dining experience very pleasant.

Stopped in when visiting friends.Food & service was great. Firecracker shrimp, drinks & chipotle chicken pasta was good too. Our server Tabby was the best and made sure the drinks kept coming.

Came in today for lunch with the gals. We had an amazing server named Tabby. I ordered the Thai Chicken Pizza it was delicious. I would only request Tabby as my server. Give her a raise!!!

Tabby was awesome! Made us feel very welcome! The fish tacos and the Thai bowl were delicious, along with the apple pie! The whipped cream was really rich and creamy!

I had the stuffed chicken breast with mashed cauliflower and green beans, and it was incredible! Highly recommend(: My boyfriend had never been here before and our server B made it a great experience!

Love this restaurant! The atmosphere is inviting and warm, service is always responsive and friendly, and food is delicious! Love both the indoor and outdoor seating options, such a fun place to dine.

My family gathered here in their private space, the Warrior Room, for my parents' 65th anniversary and had a fabulous time, just excellent all the way around. A big shout-out to our server, Lucas, who is such a delight. So attentive, friendly, helpful, and professional. The food and wine were excellent, so many tasty appetizers and entrees. The room was spacious for our group of 13, I believe it seats up to 20. There's a big TV at one end of the table which was perfect for hooking up a laptop and running a slideshow of family photos. It was hopping on a Friday night but being tucked in the room allowed us to talk and laugh and visit with each other comfortably, without having to shout. Thank you so much for making it a special evening for my family!

B did a wonderful job making my wife, dad, and I feel special and has top notch service! Also, the dates, pizza, and steak salad out of this world. Thanks again for a great night!

Our server, Tabitha, was one of the most amazing young women I have ever met!! Smart, personable, attentive, efficient. She was serving, tending bar, and hostessing, and everyone in the place seemed to be happy and having fun! Chips and eggamole, T.A. Hot Comby and Buddha Bowl were all delicious! Little booth was cozy and comfortable. A tad noisy in the bar area. Will definitely return soon! The friend I was with was even recognized by and welcomed by the excellent server from her previous visit (Raq). Friendly place!!!

Hellen was our server and did a great job. The restaurant was full, Hellen had multiple tables including larger parties and still gave exceptional service. We tried a couple bowls and the mac & cheese pizza with bacon on it, everything was great. We will be back && be sure to ask for Hellen to be our server!

Had to write a review cause this was some of the best meatloaf I’ve had in a while! Our server Tabby made sure we always had full drinks and had amazing customer service which can be hard to come by nowadays! Overall, will definitely come back next time I’m in town.

Take-out was quick. Food was good, but on the pricier side . Would go back. I dont like that its becoming the norm to ask for tip on take-out. I mean, i did not get any form of "service". And tipping before I even get there makes no sense either.

Very busy/popular place. We waited 45 minutes for a table because we didn't call ahead. It was worth the wait though, the food was generally very good. I would give the cheese curds a B, you could get just as good or better cheese curds almost anywhere Drink selection was good Pork belly sliders were very nice. My kid's pizza off the kids menu was huge!

Came here for lunch on the weekends with my Wife. The salmon was amazing, and my wife enjoyed her filet. Our server, Tabby, was amazing and made sure we were well taken care of. Will Return!

Disappointing visit today. Food was so-so. I had a classic burger with garlic mashed potatoes which were unusual with big pieces of leafy stuff. Burger was fine. She ordered a Bison burger with a slice of raw onion... received a bison burger with mushrooms and Bleu cheese, should have sent it back and made it to order - that's on me. Received the bill which should have been adjusted to what was ordered, not the higher priced item that was delivered. Apparently customers need to know the menu better than the server so your order is what you want. Left disappointed with food and explanation of what went wrong...it was our fault?

**Fair Fanfare with a Hefty Price Tag** Preface: This bright restaurant in the little town of Waunakee boasts quality food and cocktails at top dollar. They provide quality cuisine while falling short in other areas. Food: I ordered the Wagyu Burger with Garlic Mashed potatoes and a Classic Mojito. The entree and side were done excellently with flavor and temperature on point. Quality is the utmost importance here. As for the cocktail, the execution was poor, but not entirely the bartender's fault as they were new. At a whopping $35 for one drink, an entree and side, the value was not entirely there. Service: Staff were nice, but lacked energy. I understand it's a Monday night, but I felt that there was a lack of liveliness for such a fun looking restaurant. Atmosphere: Clean and refined. Cohesive in restaurant design. Overall: This is one of those places where it made me think whether or not I thought it was a valuable experience. The food was great and it was cozy, but for how expensive it is and how drab it felt, I don't know how often I would return. Score: 3.6 out of 5 stars

This was my first time to a B&H in over 10 years, as all those years ago I had visited the Sun Prairie Location and left so angry, I vowed to never return. After some arm twisting by my other half, I caved in, we went to the Waunakee location for the first time. The hostess was nice and greeted us promptly. The waitress came quickly to take our order, so things started off well. The food showed up quickly. One order was a brunch thing, the other, a burger and mashed potatoes. My other half liked the brunch dish, as did I. The hamburger was really greasy and bland. It did not taste good at all. The potatoes were decent. The portion size was good. My main gripe of B &H years ago was the price and portion size. This visit showed B&H improved on those faults. What was not acceptable (other than the bland greasy burger) at this visit was the server. She basically put us on the "pay no mind" list after taking the order. Never checked on us. We had to flag her down and ask for another drink order. I had to ask the bus person if someone would cash out the bill. Also, another thing I don't understand is half of the restaurant was empty. Why stuff all of the guests at tables that were so close together? Give the guests some room. Another server kept bumping into my other half as he tried to stuff his way between our table and the one behind us. He did this several times. He could have chosen to walk around our table and then back over to his table but didn't want to take a few extra steps, I guess. Some coaching of your wait staff would go a long way. My other half said she would return; I don't care either way. The burger wasn't that great, neither was the service. I'm a 1 star. She was at 4. I'll round up to be nice and settle on a 3 star review.

Was here for a dinner with job interview, and was left with a pretentious taste. The waiter would come up to ask how the food tasted and such, proceeding to totally ignore me and brown nose the person he identified would be giving tips. Ordering was all "I want my steak like the palm of my thumb." The food was fine but the pomp was not justified and took away from the experience.

I have done take away of the same sandwich once a week since they opened and it was always very good and very consistent. But I'm the last few months not so much. The wrap is always different tends to be more lettuce than chicken and the chicken now seems like pressed refrigerator chicken not fresh and today the wrap is completely ripped open on the side they had to have seen in when they put it in the container. Just poor quality. Service is always friendly and Katie has been amazing anytime I've had issues
