First, the service was awesome! Being this was our first time, the staff helped in every way, making it a great experience. Second, the food was fabulous! The burgers were flavorful, the fries and rings tasted superb and the dessert was delicious! Third, the establishment was eye catching and a really cool place to see some memories. The decor really goes with everything mentioned to make it a great and enjoyable night! Have fun dining out at this place! We did!
The place is outstanding, stupendous, amazing, awesome food is stupendous just like the the whole place the people OMG just unbelievable
The burgers and root beer are excellent! We loved the fact that the root beer was served in an frosty glass mug. I also got a peach fried pie and it was delicious!
I do TikTok food reviews (@reviews4dfw) And this place came highly recommended. After stopping, the burger is good but not great. The atmosphere is fantastic but it did take a little while to get my food. Not good experience though.
I'm thrilled to share my review of Pops Burger Stand in Waxahachie, Texas. The food was absolutely delicious, satisfying my taste buds with every bite. The friendly staff added to the experience, making the visit all the more enjoyable. The owner's kindness shone through, as they went the extra mile by gifting a toy to our 6-year-old daughter, leaving her beaming with joy. This combination of delectable food, welcoming atmosphere, and thoughtful gestures made our visit to Pops Burger Stand truly memorable.
The burgers and fries were sooo good. We ordered medium and they were a bit more done than that, but they were still juicy and delicious. There was a rush when we were there and they forgot the bacon on my son's burger, but they fixed it immediately. Great place, friendly staff. Will definitely go back when we're in the area.
*Edited 8/29/2020 Nice place! The location is great. My mom and I stopped by to grab a bite and it was a good decision. I loved all the 50's styled decor they had. The food was yummy. I didn't take pictures of the food because I was extremely hungry but I did grab pics of some other things. Service was very nice and helpful. I'll be returning soon!
Great burger and root beer, service was top notch, great job Pop
Great little diner style burger place in the heart of town. Great atmosphere and food is always fantastic!
Great burger and onion rings. Service was friendly. Takes a minute to get your food, but it was busy and worth the wait.
We had the best lunch today! Casual environment playing great music and friendly staff. The food was amazing as well. They sell a frosted mug Big Red which really made the experience for me.
I had the pops double combo. The atmosphere and decor remind you that you are in an iconic hamburger establishment which included your burger being delivered in the classic red plastic burger, basket with red and white checkered paper. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner/manager not sure, but I could tell he took great pride in the product that they were delivering. If you’re ever around the Waxahachie area I highly recommend you stop in to experience a great burger from Pops burger stand.
Working in town from Dallas. The absolute best burger I have had in possibly forever. This is the place to get food if you are in town. I tried several places over 2 weeks. Hands down the best place.
Went to Architectural Salvage store across the street so stopped in to Pops burgers for lunch. We had 2 cheeseburgers and 1 mushroom Swiss all combos. 2 with onion rings and 1 with fries. Everything was delicious, meat was cooked just like we ordered it. Bun was super good and fresh Onion rings were really good. Be sure and order a fried pie when you order your burgers, they take about 15 minutes to cook, but it was really really good! We got one should have gotten more!
Our first meal in Waxahachie as a family, we chose Pop's because we found a veggie burger on their menu. Wow, were we satisified! I ordered the "Low and Slow" on recommendation and it was perfect. Onion rings and fries were both among the best I've had anywhere. Service friendly, kind, generous, (and masked!).
MAGICAL. Drove through the downtown area on a detour coming from the Scarborough Fair and BOY did we find a treasure. Literally every single thing was DELICIOUS! Fresh beef JUICY burgers, hand cut fries, hand battered onion rings, shakes....holy moly 🤤 100% worth the hour drive, even when we aren't visiting the fair. One of the best burgers I've ever had with a cool atmosphere and outstanding customer service to pair with it. 10/10 recommended. We will be coming again.
Overall experience 9.8. The other .2 is because the food was slightly too salty. Rather it be that though than bland. Very surprised at how perfect this experience was from the: - Brevity in taking order and guidance in choosing - Great sweet tea - fast service - great bun and burger cooked perfect - fresh veggies - best onion rings I probably ever had - cool clean ambiance Highly recommend
I had a "Pop's Burger" (1/4 lbs. cheeseburger) and a root beer float in a frosty mug, and I thought both the burger and float were really good. I went on Thursday May 20th, and every Thursday evening (5:30 pm - 7:00 pm) only during Daylight Savings Time, Pop's Burger Stand hosts the "Thursday Night Cruise In", when people come to show off their classic vehicles. Having the classic cars in the parking lot, '60s music playing, and eating a burger with a root beer float made me feel like I went back in time, and for that I give Pop's Burger Stand five stars. Went again on Thursday October 14th, 2021 and the food was still good and the cars were cool, shown on the last photo.
My favorite place to go here in waxahachie. Staff is friendly, food is awesome and the milkshakes are amazing. I’ve been hundreds of times at this point, and it’s always perfect. Sometimes it gets busy, but that just tells you how good it really is! The decoration they use is so fun!
This is the only place I have been able to get a good turkey burger. It was my second visit here a lot better than the first visit. The first time my burger was good, but the fries tasted old and soggy. But this time around was great !! My turkey burger was delicious and the fries tasted fresh and crispy. The customer service is always friendly and nice and the tables are clean. And it's very cool to see all the old 50 and 60 pictures and old items from back in the day. Please check them out it's worth it !!
Date night out was awesome Stopped by to enjoy a Philly Cheesesteak and it was so good.... Thursday night come see all the classic cars...play games outdoors, and listen to live music! The food is great and don't forget to grab a thick milkshake afterwards 😋 Enjoy a great atmosphere filled with all things dealing with cars..... you may see bumbers on the wall...old toy cars ....memorable moments will be made here! I'm glad to have it close by to cruise out. Construction is ongoing but it has the most beautiful downtown brick buildings ,shops and historic homes near by. Stroll out on a autumn evening and enjoy some fun! The Dobson's
This is a must go for a good burger. Everyone we bring says it’s amazing. It has a retro vibe to it and the service is usually always really fast.
Great burger. Cool atmosphere. Reasonable prices
Highly recommend.. best burgers in town.. try for yourself will not be disappointed..
Awesome burgers and fries at a good price. The decor is funky fun americana and the staff was very friendly.
The exterior of Pop's is the perfect display of its internal charm and antiquity. The decor and memorabilia are a delight for the eyes of any generation: A step back in time for the younger crowd and a nostalgic rest stop for the older folks. Root beer is drafted into ice-cold mugs, as it should be! The burgers are 100% Angus, juicy and delicious. The burgers (which can vary from your basic single-patty to a whopping six!) have a variety of fresh toppings to make them even better. True to the old classics, they sell fried bologna sandwiches with amazing hand breaded onion rings, floats and pies! Definitely worth the stop if you're floating through Waxahachie!
First time family & I stop by & we're not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and patient. The food was a decent price and super delicious!! I got the El Camino burger, and it was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The fries, fried pickles, and onion rings were all cooked great, too!! Will definitely be back next time we're in the area! Features Dine in Outdoor seating Takeout
Amazing service. Food is always hot and delicious. One night they were out of onion rings for the day and Pop made some from scratch for us - best onion rings in Texas! They are short staffed right now but that does not slow down the service of decrease the quality of the food. Good prices, good food, good location. We always stop by if we're nearby!
Waxahachie, this place is a gem!! The food was sooooo good! I randomly picked this place to eat while traveling through and I'm so glad I did. This is not fast food! It's a genuine burger joint that is cooked each order to your specifications. They have some seriously good burgers and pies!!
The burgers are fantastic. As you approach the building the smell is reminiscent of the food court at the state fair. They have the small soft ice kind of like Sonic ice so that's cool. Parking is not easy but it is worth it. I wanted a root beer float but they were out of root beer 🍺 😐
What a great little place. Burger was very good. Tried the fries and fried pickles, both good. Fast service. They have plenty of other options. Turkey burger, chicken sandwich, etc. Looks like some amazing shakes. Staff was a little young and not really customer service orientated.
Man this place rocks in every sense of the word. The burgers are the main attraction. The beef is so delicious and takes center stage. You go to many places and the burgers are good because they over load them with condiments to make them taste good. Pop's burgers does not have to do that. They are just a great old fashion burger. Plus their homemade Root Beer in a frosted mug is great, and their fried pie are heavenly too. It's truly a hidden gem. Can't wait to go back again.
Great food reasonable prices. My first time here. I really liked the fact they asked you how you want your burger cooked. We got onion rings and they were great as well. Along with a rootbeer float and chocolate shake for my granddaughter. All were very good. So glad we came. Would definitely recommend.
The atmosphere is very old style diner. The food was good and the service was friendly. It’s a great place to grab a burger and rings.
We wanted to take a lil drive. Ended up in Waxahachie. This place was GREAT! Staff is very friendly and helpful by the food whoa! Big juicy burgers. The onion rings have a great tasty crunchy coating. The French fries have a very yummy seasoning on them. Plus on Thursday's they have a car show. This was a great experience. Thank you!
This is absolutely the BEST place to eat that we discovered in all North Texas. Makena who runs the register has the most contagious smile and is a Ray of Sunshine 🌼, this was our 2nd visit and Makena remembered us and when I ordered the Fantastic Choc Shake, she said with a smile... "Wasn't it a Carmel Chocolate shake that you loved last time?" Yes and thank you for remembering! That is a special gift as we hadn't been here in 4 months!!!! Great food & service! 5 stars!!
This is our first time visiting this establishment and it will not be our last. I personally got the Low & Slow burger with the sauce on the side. I did taste it and was not a fan but my daughter enjoyed it. The reason that I did not give five stars on food is because the fries could have been cooked a little longer. They were too soft. My husband enjoyed his burger which was the El Camino and my daughter liked her pops burger. Very welcoming location and can’t wait to visit again when it is warmer to sit outside.
My family enjoys Pop’s. It’s your homestyle, retro joint that takes you back in time to when real people served real food. The cashier is always friendly and kind, and I’ve never had a bad experience with the food. Only thing I would say is to give yourself extra time. This is not a “fast food” restaurant. You will wait at least 20 minutes most of the time to receive your meal—sometimes closer to an hour when they’re slammed. I typically call my order in half an hour before I’m ready to pick up, and it’s typically ready around the time I walk in (give or take a couple minutes). If you’re planning on a sit down meal with good friends and good conversation, it’s a jovial atmosphere. Just don’t swing by when you need a “quick” bite. Enjoy all the memorabilia on the walls while you wait.
All these reviews are bougie! These are amazing burgers! They ask you how you want the meat done, everything is Homeade, and the meat is so juicy. They have small burgers and large burgers and I love their wide range menu. Definitely coming back here ❤️ they fix it exactly how you want it
This place was awesome and su h great food and service. The onion rings were great the fries seasoned perfect and the burger was so big a double meat is almost too much i cant wait to go back.
I'm a self proclaimed burger snob and i rate burgers harshly when not done correctly. My all time favorite burger joint was Alamo Springs burgers in Fredericksburg Texas (now out of business) second favorite was grill'em all burgers in Alhambra, CA. With the demise of Alamo Springs, Grill'em all went to first. And the only other burger joint that I've ever rated 10/10 across the board. There's some dang fine burger joints in the dfw like Liberty Burger, La Burger, etc but they all lack in some areas. Today while working in Waxahatchie, i saw this place and had to try. First the atmosphere: 10/10. Loved the old style motif and the smells.. You know a good burger is a high probability. Next service: the waitress, cook and register person were all great 10/10. Finally what counts, the burger. I ordered my standard bacon cheese burger with jalapenos and my folks shared a regular cheese burger. I got fries and they got onion rings. My burger was a SOLID 9.5. only reason not a 10 is because i prefer smash burgers. If you like them think, you'll probably give this a10/10. The fries, hand cut 10/10, perfect. My folks tasted their burger a 10/10 and their onion rings (onion strings really) a 9/10. Prices were very reasonable and there's lots of choices. This is the highest score I've given a burger joint in Texas other than Alamo springs... It's that dang good. Toasted buns, shredded veggies, grilled jalapenos, perfect. Quite honestly, i work all over the country and every corner of Texas and have tried burgers in them all. In Texas, this is definitely top two of not the best I've tried. If you like burgers, this place doesn't disappoint! Highly highly recommended!
Fresh groundbeef burger. First time here, and I will be coming back. The onion rings came with a dipping sauce, tasted like mom made them. Great atmosphere, service was fantastic. The pricing was really good for a pop burger, $6 plus $4 if you want a combo. My husband had a burger with bacon, cheese sauted mushrooms, and a barbecue sauce. He said it was the best burger he had in a long time.
Quaint Diner with lots of nostalgia to look at. Delicious food & wonderful hospitality. No wonder that it's on the TX bucket list. Hubby recommends the Philly Cheeses take & I had a delicious BLT. You can't go wrong with their Onion Rings! You guys hit it out of the park. Thx for a great experience.
You would honestly think this place has been around since the 50's or 60's with their chrome and formica dining tables and the stuff on the walls. I especially thought the TV in the old car door window was pretty cool. Don't come here expecting fast food speeds. Everything is made to order - so plan on about a 20 min wait. Trust me when I tell you it's worth the wait! This is the VROOM burger. It's a 6.5 oz angus burger with mushrooms and provolone. I made it a combo and decided to try the onion rings. The onion rings are thin and have a really great flavor. It was definitely worth my trip from Arlington and I will be back as soon as I can.
Went to Pop's Burger today. I have been one other time and had the burger, it was good. They do have a wide variety of items and they have all been good. I had the bologna sandwich and it was excellent. It was on Texas Toast and fried. I honestly never think to go there and I'm glad we went today. There are better burgers in Waxahachie but overall, today was a good Pop"s day.
First visit and I'm glad I stopped in. The associate working the front counter was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the cheeseburger meal. I also ordered the fried peach pie. The orders are made fresh and they bring your order to the table. The burger reminded me those good old burgers my grandparents used to make. The burger was juicy and flavorful. The buns were fresh and toasted. The fries were lightly salted and great with honey mustard. The peace pie was delicious. I found the other guests to be extremely friendly. Great experience
Firebird was what I had. REALLY good. \n\nSalad, onion rings and fries were also very good as well. \n\nShakes are super thick. Made to order and using real ice cream.

What a cute place! Great burgers and fries. Tried my friends onion rings and will definitely get those next time! Nothing fancy just good food in a fun atmosphere. Staff was friendly.

Great burger and fries! Highly recommended to anyone wanting any old fashioned burgers!
Quick service, good food. Amazing onion rings! Really cool decor. Outside looks to be an old bank cause the drive through bank drawer was in the women's bathroom.
You may stick to the floor but it's worth it- I always get the Shroom Burger and their INCREDIBLE onion rings. People go crazy for the shakes but don't miss out on the root beer float!
Delicious cheeseburgers here, and great fries and onion rings! Cold root beer, and even huge made to order fried pies served with a sprinkle of powdered sugar like Peggy Sue's in Dallas used to d…

Really well decorated, very clean stablishment good food: however the staff certainly doesn't appear to appreciate outsiders or non-townies, wasn't given a hello, good bye or even a thank you or you're welcome, which I would expect after a $12 lunch for a Burger, fries & a tea, especially when I say thanks!
It's smashbuger like a bunch of common restaurants. Tasty for sure, but nothing out of this world. Interior is my old school, AC can be lacking, with slow service. So if you wanna try, go for it, you won't regret it, but Five guys or smashbuger sell the same thing.
The burgers are good. It’s a cute little joint however I do not recommend the fried pickles. They seem cheap and they’re extremely salty and are just not good quality. I had to throw mine away I could’t stomach them.
BBQ Bancon Cheeseburger, fries, and a Pepsi. $15. While not a bad price I couldn't help but feel that it was a little overpriced for what I got. The burger was pretty good with a lot of flavor. I wasn't a huge fan of the fries. Just a personal choice, they are more like pieces of fries. Almost felt like I needed a fork to eat them. Cool place to hang out. Overall a good place to get a burger fast for lunch. Might try a different side next time. That is to say I would visit again.
The place is old and that's part of its charm. There's a lot of memorabilia to look at, but the light is low making it somewhat difficult to see it all. Plus I don't love low light in a restaurant dining room. The staff was kind, patient and helpful considering this was our first visit and we took a while to take in the menu. The burger was ok, and the onion rings were pretty good.
Made a stop here heading towards Corpus Christi from Dallas. Service was excellent at the atmosphere how that old school feel. I got the Tank Burger that has two 6.5 oz patties with cheese and bacon added and a side onion rings. The burger had excellent flavor and definitely filling. However, my biggest gripe was that the bun was falling apart. I would’ve preferred if they used a brioche or potato bun instead. It was a great alternative over your typical fast food burger chain. Highly recommended and will make a stop again.
Had the Pop's burger combo. Not too many places ask how you want your burger done. Next time I'll try the double because the single seemed small to be considered a quarter pound burger. Other than being a small patty, the burger was well done, the bun excellent as we're the burger toppings. The fries were plentiful, seasoned well, just a bit limp. The drink, standard for a fast food joint. The reason I dropped the Food to 4 stars was the quarter pound patty was not up to an almost $12 combo value in my opinion. Service was pretty good for Saturday diner time, granted it became very crowded just after I ordered. The atmosphere inside was pretty noisy, outside a bit trashed, need a gopher to clean up. Again, the burger was tasty, just not enough meat. Cheers.
Burgers are fresh and made to order! Fries are hand/fresh cut. I'm not sure if the chicken tenders were pre-made & frozen. But expect a little wait for fresh food. My order was correct and delicious! I could barely stop eating the fries. The only thing missing were fry seasons. My kids were happy with the tenders! One wasn't a fan of the chocolate shake, but it did look yummy! Atmosphere... not the shiny bright diner of yester-year (not a complaint at all). Diner feel? Yes! Booths and those cute formica tables. But also the decor was a hodgepodge of pieces picked up here and there. There's no wait to be seated - just order at the counter!
Stumbled upon this place on Google maps. We saw that it was highly rated and wanted to give it a try. I will have to say, it lived up to the hype on Google and Yelp. It was quite busy when we made it there. There was a long wait for our food, but there were plenty of things to look which was a nice distraction. It was a tad bit warm inside due to it being busy and the door was constantly opening and with many people inside. The food came out hot! Yes to that! The burger was seasoned anda bit on the small side. The fries were crispy just how I like them! Just needed a little salt and pepper. Overall, this place was pretty cool and the customer service was great!
Its no wonder why we hadnt been to this establishment in over 5 years. Ordered for 5 adults, and waited roughly 25 minutes for the order to come out. This was for take out, and of course they forgo…

We decided to stop here on the way to Austin from Dallas. We thought this would be a quick stop as we had a scheduled event but our order ended up taking an hour to come out. Understandable as there seemed to be only one cook but this probably should have been communicated, we overheard other customers complain about the wait as well. My burger wasn't cooked medium rare as I had ordered but it was still good. The outdoor seating could be improved with umbrellas, overall the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. I would be prepared to wait a while during peak hours and try again when it's less busy. The food is great but not worth waiting an hour.
I saw this place on tick toc and it got great reviews so I was excited to try it. I ordered the burger with 3 Patty's with mushrooms and BBQ sauce. When I got my burger I got 3 small squirts of BBQ sauce for 3 Patty's and then the bun absorbed all of it. Unfortunately I was not blown away by this burger and I wanted to be. The meat had no flavor and I had to put ketchup on the burger for some taste, afterall my bbq sauce was mia. The mushrooms on the burger were good, but that's about it. I'll have to try it again for a second chance since maybe today they were off their game. So, if I do and I have a better burger I'll update this.
Food was disappointing...burger was burnt around the edges, onion rings were the highlight. Ordered at 1:57pm and received the food at 2:52pm! Atmosphere was fun, but will not return... definitely not worth a special trip.
Good customer service. Nice place and like the ambiance...Interesting car and bike shows. Call ahead though...it’s not quick if you’re in a hurry...ordered at 610pm, got my food at 645pm...ordered a TX Philly, onion rings, kids grilled cheese, fried pickles, & fries x2. Food was cold when I got home. I live 3 mins away. Realized they messed up the order after I got home. This was a 5.0 review when I started writing this.
I recently dined at Pops Burgers in Waxahachie, and my experience was rather average. I opted for the Low and Slow BBQ burger, which, while decent, felt like a standard burger with BBQ sauce. The onion rings were also on par with mediocrity. My wife and daughter tried the Pops burger, which unfortunately didn't stand out either. Overall, it wasn't a bad meal, but it didn't leave me eager to return. The atmosphere had a kitschy vibe, adding a unique touch to the dining experience.
I liked the chill music (think Santana and War) and the eclectic vibe. The food was hot and made to order. Kudos to the chef! My J-Bird (grilled chicken) sandwich was perfect (juicy & well seasoned)!! The kids enjoyed their burgers and fresh cut fries 🍟 I did take off stars for the poor use of staff. The cooks also had to take the food outside to the patrons. Who does that? There were 2 perfectly able and unoccupied employees at the front who could of done it. I also didn't see the cooks get tipped after taking out the food (kind of like at Sonic). I tipped my server, the young girl at the counter, a buck for bringing us our food. We ate inside. Everyone else, about 10 other people, were eating outside and the cooks took them all their food. I did see a tip jar at the order counter (where I also put money). I REALLY hope they share those tips with the cooks. Not cool how they were over worked when the young girl and the older lady could of helped out. They would take an order and then go back to the back. I waited a few minutes to order because no one was at the counter when I got there. The cook had to yell for them after seeing me standing there for about 3 minutes. The girl was kind but she and the older woman there could of taken out food orders. And shame on the patrons for not tipping them.
Burger was just ok. Meat was bland and bun was soggy. Way too much mayo. Need to change oil in fryer. I know it's nostalgic but really needs update. Nice people
Today was my first time coming here. Parking was an absolute nightmare — there are very few spaces available. Once inside, though, the atmosphere was great, and the woman who took our order was amazing. Unfortunately, that’s where the good experience ended. We paid $25 for two original cheeseburger meals with very simple modifications, and both meals were completely wrong. Not a single modification was done correctly. I tried calling back multiple times to address the issue, but couldn’t get through at all — the calls wouldn’t connect. Because of this experience, I honestly don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon. It’s going to take a while to get past such a disappointing first visit.
Pretty good, they are looking for cook & fryer. Ate te burger pretty quick cause the pic & ice cream came out at the same time but over all pretty good pie was flaky

Hang on I have a lot to say here. Class in session. Pros: the onion rings are shoestring and they are fantastic! The car stuff is awesome and lots to check out while dining. Outside seating too. Cons: the seating is jammed packed and not comfortable at all. Seats don’t match the tables making it very uncomfortable. Sorta on the expensive side. Burgers are good but not out of this world. Fries are soggy. Root beer float is not in a frosted mug and not the best I’ve had. Here’s the worst part… the bathroom was horrible. I mean it was super hot I couldn’t breathe, very dirty. I don’t mean someone went to the bathroom and they didn’t get a chance to clean it, I mean nasty like it hadn’t been cleaned it years. A place serving food like fries and burgers needs a good restroom. Period. Ok. You are dismissed now. 😉
Super mediocre burger spot. Took almost 30 minutes on a slow Saturday lunch at 2:30. Minimal flavor to the meat of the burger. The fries were okay- my toddler would only eat a few, which was a surprise because she loves fries (tells you they weren’t that good). Overall, I wouldn’t come back🤷🏻♀️
This is difficult and unfortunate for me to post because pops has been around for awhile, And I quite enjoyed their food when they were relatively new on the scene. I'd like to start out with the positives, I placed my order over the phone and went to pick it up. There was a long line of people waiting to place their order at the counter, and there was no pickup station. However a young lady offered to take my card to pay for the order and brought my food out to me which was very nice. The interior is well decorated with a comfortable feel. Now for the unfortunate. I placed an order for a Philly cheesesteak, and a double meat burger with two slices of cheese, with bacon and barbecue sauce and grilled onions. I made it a combo so it came with fries and a drink, and also ordered a side of onion rings for my wife to go with her Philly, and she was really looking forward to them. Upon bringing the food home, my disappointment started when I took the items out of the bag. The fries and onion rings were at the very bottom of the bag and both had become limp and soggy. The onion rings were more like onion straws and were a mushy mess, The fries also were limp and soggy and had zero seasoning. I immediately put them into my air fryer, and gave my wife her sandwich while I started into my burger. Both of my patties were dry, and crisp around the edges. I had asked for two slices of cheese and either only received one, forgot two of the smallest pieces of cheese right on top of each other. For my bacon I only received one slice, which was very disappointing. The bacon itself was good, but paying for bacon on a burger and only getting one slice was disappointing, when the industry standard is two. If it's their policy to pay by the slice, then it is overpriced, but I'm sure it meant to have two. If that is their policy, then it would be nice to be able to look that up online, but for reasons that avail me, as long as they have been around, they have no dedicated website at all, so I had to figure out what I wanted by zooming in on pictures of the menu from Google. They have a Facebook page, but the pictures of their menu are very out of date so I didn't trust it. The barbecue sauce, while a good flavor, would have been sparse for a single patty, let alone a double meat, and since the Patty's were already dry, I had to put mustard on it so that I didn't feel like I was biting into sand. My wife's Philly was good, and I'm sure if it was called Pop's Philly Stand, this would have been fine. In the end. I paid over $30 for a bag of mostly disappointment. It was not long after I placed my order from the time I picked it up either, a total of approximately 25 minutes, after being quoted 15 minutes until my order was ready, so it was not as if the food had been sitting out a long time. I know that pops has a lot of loyal customers, and I am glad for that because I support small business, and one this establishment to be around for a long time, but if tonight's experience is indicative of the direction they are going, then I unfortunately believe they have an expiration date.
The woman who took my order was nice. The place wasn't busy at all. The Strawberry shake was delicious. I order a cheeseburger and onion rings. I asked for extra mustard and pickles on my burger and they slopped a jar of pickles and a bottle of mustard around 2 lukewarm, unseasoned, dry patties. Completely sogged the untoasted buns out. The mess in the picture is the mustard and pickles I had to scrape off. The onion rings would've been good but they were lukewarm too. Burger Onion Rings Shake $21 and I can name at least 10 places immediately turning out a better product.

The service was terrible!!! The lady literally tapped aggressively on the credit card machine, slammed the receipt on the counter. I will make sure NOBODY I know returns to this place. The staff belongs at the gas station. While waiting over 30min for my food, I witnessed probably about 10 separate customers have issues ordering food and also receiving terrible service.
We usually love this place, we brought out of town family in. This lady was so rude! We ordered a shake and the lady said she didn't have time for that! And was rude through the whole ordering process. I was completely embarrassed. We had been bragging about this place to be sadly disappointed. And no, the place was empty. The burgers were still outstanding. Her not so much
We had the worst experience at this restaurant tonight. Waited 50 minutes for our hamburgers, and the restaurant was not even busy. My medium ordered burger was burnt and onions rings were ice cold. Complained about the wait time and no apologies were even given. Will not be frequenting here again anytime soon!
Went to Pops and ordered 2 burgers and one fry and one water and one drink. After a 1 hour and 10 minute wait we went to see why other people had gotten their food but we didn’t get ours. They couldn’t find our order. The lady in the red shirt in the kitchen told us we just needed to wait and she would get us our burgers after they finished with the orders they were working on. We asked to get our money back and she told us just wait. Poor customer service. Greasy tables. I will not go back and recommend others to do the same.
This place has horrible customer service. We were sitting for an HOUR and no one said ANYTHING the lady that took our order was so nice but she said it would be out in a couple minutes after a while the person cleaning tables came out to obviously do her job but didn't say ANYTHING to us not a sorry we're running behind or sorry about the wait it will just be a little longer or ANYTHING and after waiting 45 mins the people that had just arrived got their food first. so i went up to the counter and asked how much longer because we had been there an hour and the lady( glasses tattoos on her neck) looked at me and said it will be next up. not an apology or an ounce of concern for the amount of time we had been there. after we FINNALY got our food IT WAS COLD AND OUR FRIES HAS NO SEASONING!!!! I'm never coming back here and neither should anybody. I was not the only person complaining about the wait and asking for a manager that wasn't even there. you can SEE the burgers just sitting there waiting for fries and that's just ridiculous. do better.
Went here two weeks ago , just moved to waxahachie so excited to try all food places , was really excited to try this place as I do a lot of food reviews , the inside is really cool vibe , however , the front cashier was nice and informative I was really sad they didn’t have fried pickles , but what got me that day was the super long wait time , at least 20 minutes , I usually keep track how long it takes at new places , then unfortunately after a long wait , they forgot my burger in the order and had to wait even longer . The chicken nuggets should be cheaper since they are so small and only 3 tenders , the burger was okay did not blow me away but it was good . I think just the rough customer service didn’t allow me to enjoy it . Hope for a better experience next time .
I was hoping to love this place but it sadly was not the experience we had. As much as we understand places can be busy and short staffed at times it would be nice to get some communication on that. We waited over 45 mins for our burgers, the bread was cold and for some reason it was super runny and everything kept falling apart. The meat did have a good flavor. We were just passing by town and we wanted to walk around but since we had no idea how long the food would take we couldn’t leave. It would be great if you guys were a little more straight up about how long the order will take to get done.
