EZCATER DRIVER HERE I love Saltgrass! Eaten here so much over the years & never really had any issues. Now as a cater driver I'm doing a review from a different perspective. -orders are always ready at my "10 minute early" arrival time. -orders are always packed properly & securely, aka cargo-ready. -staff is always kind, helpful & show urgency to answer any questions I may have -the restaurant includes a copy of the order form making it clear the order is indeed complete & correct. As a cater driver I see a lot of lazy habits by different restaurants such as not packing the order in bags or boxes, orders not ready on time & staff not showing any concern or urgency, dirty utensils, food containers leaking because they are overfilled and break or lids not closed all the way...... I've seen a lot of questions decisions on the restaurant end. So, when a restaurant like Salt grass goes THIS far above & beyond.... they deserve to be noticed for it!! Thank so much to the Webster Salt Grass for making my job so much easier but most importantly for taking such great care of your catering customers!
Quick note to say Saltgrass is becoming our favorite restaurant in Texas! If you happen to be in the Webster area, please ask for Nina as your server. She is professional, friendly & knowledgeable. I'd like to ask management to thank her for job well done! Signed fat and bald.
First off, I had Michael as my server tonight- he was really great. Truly recommend asking for him to be your server if you go. Food was also great tonight, atmosphere was nice- especially for the night before Valentine’s Day I expected it to be much worse, but it was definitely handled well. Truly a 10/10 experience tonight!
Great quality food and friendly service. The jalapeño poppers (aka “Stingers”) are the best. They are loaded with delicious shrimp and the spice of the jalapeños takes them to another level.
Visited the Galveston location again. Blanca our garçon provided exceptional service. Seems like she enhanced the taste of the food; certainly the dining experience. She was on point with meeting our needs with timeliness and correctness. Polite , professional and proficient in service. We are eager to return. 5-star rating “ Blanca!” Thank you.

The best! We always come here for A good steak and we’ve tried them all and they are delish! Filet is nice and tender while Texas t bone is nice and juicy. Mashed potatoes, fried pickles everything was delicious that we’ve tried. Maria and Matt are the absolute best !! They always give us excellent service!
We were seated quickly. The waited double checked about the fryers being used for shellfish since I have a server allergic reaction. The food was good, I felt my chicken fried chicken was missing a little seasoning, but it was overall still good. The ranch on my salad was hands down my favorite ranch. Went to this restaurant Monday while on vacation and it was amazing! The food was so good and had a great taste. I order a raspberry lemonade and it was very refreshing. Father and I were visiting the area for his cancer appointments at MD anderson league city. He received some positive news and wanted to celebrate. This was our 1st time at Saltgrass. We were greeted promptly and treated great by the greeter. It wasn't super busy which was a pleasant surprise. Our server was very personable and was exactly what one would expect from someone hosting their dining experience. Food: 3 stars - Overall, I believe we would visit again but make other selections for food choices. My dad enjoyed his steak, however, it was a bit pink in some areas for it to be medium-well to well-done. I got the brisket burger. The flavor was good. However, my burger had some pink in it as well and the brisket wasn't very tender. We both got the Mac and cheese. It was definitely the low light of the entire meal. The fried pickles and peppers were good but a bit salty. The best part would have to be the bread and the lemonades. The bread and honey butter was so good, we asked for 2 more. Service: 5 stars - Elizabeth was excellent. We appreciated her attentiveness and willingness to make our 1st experience a great one. Thanks again for that bread! Atmosphere: 4.5 stars - It is your typical chain steakhouse and more setting. Not super expensive. It wasn't very busy during the week at the time we went which made it a great choice. It's also centrally located in a very energetic area with lots to do but not overcrowded like downtown Houston. If we are back in the area again with the rest of the family, I believe this place is worth another look.
We visited Saltgrass on a Friday night without any reservations, the place was almost full but we were able to get a table very quickly. The service was good, and the server quickly took our order. However, the food did take more than an hour. The place was full but the wait was too long in my opinion. The server checked up on us, and they were great! We ordered fried pickles for appetizers and it was delicious! I also got a chicken tortilla soup which was really good as well, the seasoning was tasty! For my main, I had chopped steak with onions and mushrooms, it was good but a slight issue was that I ordered it medium well but it felt like it was well done. Did not complain about it though since it took a long time to be served. I had asparagus as a side and they were pretty good! My party said their plates were great. They got salmon, a ribeye, and the shrimp and steak combo. The place has a great vibe and it is really well decorated! The atmosphere in the place is alive and loud. Great place for family and friends, highly recommended!

Interesting experience today… I love saltgrass in all its glory… however something changed. I have Celiac disease, meaning I cannot eat regular breads, but saltgrass has always accommodated with the GREATEST gluten free bread on the planet. Until tonight. I was handed to wet slices of hamburger bun that looked like it came from udis. Flat as a pancake and wet as the outside precipitation of a glass of ice water. When I asked my server what on earth I was looking at (I had just been in here a week ago) he proceeds to tell me that they CHANGED their classic gluten free bread! I ask for what reason, he says he didn’t know, then he gets me the chef or manager or something who tells me he fired not know why they changed it. I also asked for the name of the old bread manufacturer, and was told I would get back to, but never was given the name. So I am very unhappy with the news I was given. This is not one of my official food reviews, however I thought it needed to be worth noting somewhere. Hopefully they change it back, or can at least give the celiac community some actual reason why!
After this experience I won't be going back to a Landry's restaurant at all. Every time it's over priced, the service isn't worth an extra 20%, and the food is just not very good. This is going to be a little long. First off I wanted to order online and the first time I tried to it kept giving me an error. (Mind you this is a billion dollar company, get a decent POS system) When I finally was able to order online it wouldn't take a gift card (WTH, it's 2026!) Called and nobody answered. (It's Thursday at 7:00 PM)... At this point I give up and just go to order at the to- go area. The girl wasn't rude but not friendly, either. I put in my order and to use a gift card they need a manager so I'm waiting on that now. Finally get my food and get it home and it's wrong! I didn't make any crazy notifications and it wasn't complicated so I'm not sure why it was wrong and this error resulted in my being charged more. I'm not one to complain but this is unacceptable.
They don't know how to cook a medium well steak. It was rare throughout most of it with some parts well done. And it was too tough. The mashed potatoes were hard. The only thing good was the salad and bread. The one in Pearland is better.
Two very different experiences depending on the time of day. We ate at Saltgrass several times for lunch and every lunch was phenomenal. The food was great, service was solid, and it felt worth the price. Dinner was a completely different story. We gave it three separate chances and each dinner experience was terrible. Service was extremely slow, drink orders were forgotten, and basic condiments had to be requested multiple times after our meals were already served. The worst experience was with the ribs. What was served to my dad looked like burnt scraps scraped off the grill and piled on top of the ribs. It was honestly shocking that this was brought to the table. When we said something, the manager (Jasmine, I believe) and our server tried to say that this was their style of cooking. That explanation made no sense. We have eaten here many times and have ordered ribs before, and this was nothing like that. Even the ribs pictured on their current menu look nothing like what was served. At this price point, the poor service and lack of food quality during dinner is unacceptable. Lunch has been consistently great, but based on multiple experiences, I would strongly recommend avoiding dinner here.
We ate at the Webster location on 11/11/25 and it was probably the worst experience with a server I have ever had. I won't use her name but it started with a W... Not sure if she was drunk or on something but she was a train wreck... My wife and I met our daughter and my mother there for dinner. We took our time ordering because we were talking and couldn't make up our minds... W seemed to be a little busy with her tables and was kind of all over the place. We're not big drinkers anymore so my wife and daughter had teas and my mother and I just had water to start. We ordered our food and then I ordered a frozen Crown and Coke and my daughter asked for a glass of wine. All 4 of us got salads but when she brought them out she forgot my mom's Cesar salad... No big deal. She went and got it pretty quick... No drinks yet. Then after another 15 minutes or so our food came out. I ordered the chopped steak cooked medium and so did my daughter but they only brought one out. She had put in a Country Fried Steak for me instead.... OK it wasn't what I ordered but at this point I decided it wasn't worth the hassle correcting it so I just ate it... still no drinks. My daughter reminded her and she blamed the bar tenders and that was about it. My daughter reminded her a second time so finally she went back to the bar to get the drinks. She knew we were frustrated at this point so she brought an extra glass of white wine and as she was walking back from the bar she was sloshing the wine glasses like I have never seen before. It was a miracle she didn't spill them everywhere. She almost dumped one of them as she set them down on the table. She said it was comped but not quite. When she brought the check she said she had gotten in trouble for bringing the extra glass so she had to add it to the tab.... ok that was too far.. Had to get the manager out and she removed the charge but as we were about to get up I noticed that she had added a $2 apple topper to the Crown drink i got. The whole experience was a JOKE. It was like an episode of Punk'd.... Don't think I will be going back to this location if there's even a chance of getting her as a waitress...

We called, albeit late, for a reservation on Christmas day at about 2 pm. We were told that they were no longer taking reservations, but that we could walk in. We asked about the wait and were told it "shouldn't be too bad". We showed up at 2:30 and were turned away. The hostess told us that walking in was for earlier in the day but we were there too late. I understand it's Christmas, but we were clear about when we wanted to be there. Had they told us over the phone we needed to come earlier as a walk in, we would have done that. Does seem like the communication is misleading. Now we're stuck. Merry Christmas.
Me and my family came to this location and I can now confidently say I will never return. I initially sent my feedback via landrys.com and someone by the name of Elizabeth reached out to me to talk about my experience, which I will share; we were sat down by the hostest and a very sweet young man came to greet us, and said he'd be right back, another waiter came and we let him know we already got sat with someone else, he said " Um no. That's a new guy. He doesn't know. He is a host", the tone was set from there. I feel like it bothered him us requesting the other person, as to why his tone was the way it was. Things went extremely down hill from there. From needing any kind of table service, like refills, to no infamous pepper shaker for our salads, (they are known for that) to forgetting dressing, I had to literally walk to the open cooking area to grab his attention. The next issue we had, was with our entree. Mine was the ribye steak, which is my preferred cut when I go to salt grass, and my daughters is the kids steak, both of ours were supposed to be medium well, when they brought mine; it was completely full of fat and I think the manager said tendons? I'm not sure. It was the kind of fat that isn't digestible. My daughters was also tough, and not medium well. I asked to speak with a manager and my sever proceeded to ask me " its not about me right? Were good?" Which we weren't good but backing me into a corner and asking me like that, made me feel like I should just focus on the food. The manager came and apologized, and offered to remake both, mine was a better cut this time but completely well done. My daughters had the same kind of tendon issue and it just wasn't appetizing. At this point, the manager took mine off, but not my daughters even though I did tell them about hers as well, and she did apologize for the issue, but I would think her steak being left there would be enough to realize she didn't want it. Now, this was just the cherry on top of the cake, whenever we finally got the bill, I was looking over it and the waiter proceeded to say "well they took off like 90 dollars " and I explained to him, that is because they rang in all times it was remade, which is 4 steaks total, I don't know if he just wanted to let me know they did take money off, so I should be satisfied with that... but I left with no food? I told myself I'd just report the matter and move on. A few days after I sent in feedback, a manager named Elizabeth called me and I explained everything, she wanted to make things right and I had been waiting for that resolution that was being worked on internally for some days; and I really wanted to follow up with her because we still spent maybe 60? I can't quite remember but a lot still.. Even with my not having dinner.. without her following up again, I got an email from Landrys and they sent a $40 gift card, which I spent way more then that when we came, so I was a little bit stuck on thinking it could at least be $50....To me, that would be reasonable considering everything that occured during our visit and when I followed up, Elizabeth went on to say the same thing she was so baffled about originally, which was " We took off almost $100" these huge establishments you'd think could afford to offer more Grace and hospitality, when she responded with that, I decided I no longer want to be a customer of Landrys. I strongly believe if you pay to eat out, and things aren't going okay, it should absolutely be addressed and fixed, when I was told the same thing that the waiter to me, it just made me realize we aren't valued as customers at all.
